Quality Hotel & Suites Central - Cincinnati

From the room window: a less than stellar view of swimming pool containing dirty rain water; pool surrounded by tattered indoor-outdoor carpet with several missing patches of rug. First night was marred by extremely loud music from a lounge six stories down; the music died down at about 2:30 am but was responsible for one of the worst nights of sleep […] either of us had ever experienced (hotel manager said that a "banquet" had taken place). While I've stayed in places more off-putting than this, the Quality Hotel did display a certain slowly advancing seediness that doesn't bode well for future stays. Mehr

This is what you would expect at this price point - a decent room at a decent price. Not fancy, but not dirty or unkept. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was typical continental breakfast fare - mostly pastry, cereal, yogurt, juices. I will likely stay there again in a few months when I return to Cincinnati.

The hotel staff were extremely helpful and courteous. They even upgraded me to a suite with no extra charge and let me check in early (before noon). I give them high marks.

I was very dissatisfied with the cleaniness, I was on a non smoking floor and thats all i smelt was cigarette smoke and I also smelt marjuana. The first thing I smelt in the morning was smoke in my room because it was that strong throughout the entire floor. I wouldn't recomend this hotel to no one, My rating for this Hotel is 0. stayed there for a grappling tournament it was very close to where we needed to go and there was plenty of places to eat at and the staff was very courteous and the breakfast was very delicious and fully stocked i defenitley recommend this hotel

We checked in, looked in our room and then checked out. The carpet was dirty and the room had a funky smell. The heater had seen its better days.The railing on the "porch" was loose, if you have kids it would be a worry. On the positive side, the bathroom was clean and the deskclerk was very nice when we checked out. We weren't charged for our 5 night […] rreservation. Mehr

We had two false fire alarms on the second night. There was only one staff on duty & he did not have the key to turn off the alarms. Fire department came, they turned of the alarms. We were standing outside & the fireman came over and told us not to ever stay in the hotel again due to untrained staff, poor maintenance, locked exit doors, etc. Other […] problems such as poorly maintained plumbing that were irritating but not life threatening. The staff was great but, the maid just changed the towels n changed the bed every day n replaced toilet its but didn't clean bathroom at all. I have never been in a hotel that did that..dirt ring was still n bath tub!

Definitely a hotel to avoid. The staff tries to be helpful, but cleanliness is totally substandard and facilities are in poor condition.

This hotel has potential but long way to go. Staff is not friendly, rooms were dirty, sofa and carpet are stained, there was glass on my carpet room!!!! The only good thing about this hotel is the Lobby, it's very nice and the location. Two thumbs way down, would never stay here again. Hope this helps people.

My first clue should have been the elevator. I've never felt an elevator shake so violently and make so much noise, it was really alarming. My room had no air conditioning since the unit was broken, so it was extremely musty and hot. I woke up sweating and opened the windows in the middle of the night and couldn't get back to sleep because of the heat […] and the noise from outside. Very dissapointed...I am not sure any of the bathroom was cleaned, but i am certain that the bathtub wasn't. I found a dirty, used wash cloth in the bathtub. To get ice, you go to a freezer next to the pop machine and they have bags witch are very flimsy. I busted mine all over the bathroom floor trying to break up the ice. The carpet was dirty and […] had snags and tears all of it. There was no ashtray in our smoking room. Just all sorts of not worth what I paid for the room. Mehr

Other than the musty smell, the room was clean and very comfortable. The breakfast was Continental Plus (with a few hot items) that was fresh and very good. The staff was very helpful.

We stayed at the Clarion for 2 night last week on our vacation to Kings Island and Newport Aquarium in Newport Kentucy. I must say our experience at the Clarion was wonderful. I was in the hotel business for 15 years before I had my children and I know all about the cleanliness of hotels. Our room was beautiful. I had my family keep our belongings in […] the car till I inspected our room. I was totally impressed on just how clean it was.The beds were very comfortable and the staff was very friendly. I saw some other guests complaing about the lack of towels etc... The staff was handling the situation very professionally. My only negative thing I have to say was about the pool.It was green when we were there. I spoke to the front desk and they explained that the levels and everything were fine but just from looking at the pool I would not allow my children to use it. It very well may of been just fine but I didn't feel comfortable using it. I will most definitely use the Clarion again when we travell back down to Kings Island. Mehr

This hotel was very comfortable and much roomier than I would have expected. The bathroom was not cramped like some and very nice. All at a very reasonable price.

We reserved a SMOKING room in advance & recieved a NON-SMOKING room, I believe they gave away our room. The windows throughout the Entire building were FILTHY, could barely see out them. The toilet was broken, which they DID fix right away. We cancelled our second night stay, too Pricey for what we were getting.

This hotel is in poor condition. It is very old and needs significant updating. My family was very displeased to stay here. The hotel is in an area with almost no restaurants around it. The pool was under construction and the breakfast was fair. The price we paid was not worth the stay. I would not recommend staying here.

Sorry to say but this hotel was not very clean. We had to change rooms cause ours was dirty and run-down looking. The desk person was very polite and cooperative and gave us a better room, but even that was not very clean. The bed was uncomfortable, the pillows were very small and misshapen, and the heater took forever to put out warm air.

This hotel was horrible. I walked into a nasty stench in the lobby. When I got to my room, there was another stench of cigarettes, and the heat did not work. I asked for another room, and that was even worse. My wife and I decided not to stay there, and got our money back.

someone bothered to do some remodeling and place has potential but is filthy though out and clutter everywhere. Extension cords running across floor and other sub standard fixes. They are trying to run this place on $0 budget

Hotel cost more than the it was worth. TThere were only two towel in bathroom and the two wash clothes were dirty. The so called ice machine is a freezer, in need of defrost, with pre-made bags of ice. The walls of the hotel have scratches and small wholes.

The room was large and the bed comfortable. The upgraded bathroom was appreciated. The carpet had not been vacuumed and had many stains. We missed the breakfast when we showed up at 10:10 and it had closed at 10:00. At check-in, we were not told the breakfast hours. This hotel was a terrible. Certain rooms had broken windows. The hallways had a very musty smell and the elevators was scary. I took the stairs once, but the stairwell smelled of urine.

This hotel was not in a good area. the hotel itself was dirty and not kept up (ie. paint peeling, smell, dirty walls, cigarette burns in our room). the continental breakfast was terrible. (ie. stale food)

Not the best place I've stayed. Shower curtain had moldy spots along the bottom. Then when I went to check out, the clerk at the front desk had dosed off at a side computer desk. I could tell he was startled when I got his attention.

I was staying here for 2 nights on my move into Cincinnati. It's not very close to the popular parts of the city and the neighborhood made me nervous, and I do NOT have a nice car. The front desk was nice enough but our first room had an A/C that did not work and the bathroom smelled like urine. We asked to switch and were given a nicer room that at […] least seemed clean. The sheets still felt damp and the A/C wasn't great in there either. I wouldn't stay here again nor do I recommend anyone else to stay here. It needs to be properly taken care of. Mehr

The room was clean & comfortable. The motel seemed older, with renovations. The appearance was just average-some repairs still needed to spruce it up better-mainly in the lobby area. Neighborhood was great.

You get what you pay for with this hotel. The surrounding area is shady and the hotel itself is in poor shape. The pool was out of order and the room was less than desirable. Stains on the carpet and in the tub as well as a strange sound eminating from somewhere outside of the bathroom. My door key deactivated before my stay. I will say, the staff […] was fine but if you are looking for anything other than a very cheap hotel I would recommend paying a little extra and staying near the airport. Mehr

Room had mold growing on walls, could see it because the wallpaper was coming off of the walls. The bathrooms were not clean, other peoples pubic hair was all over the bathroom floor and in the shower. Room was disgusting. Hotel should be torn down or condemmned. Health Department was notified after our stay.

The hotel was older. The advertised on-site restaurant was closed. The continental breakfast was not great - food was cold and only one microwave; coffee was weak. BUT, our room was nice and comfortable and clean.

It was a fine hotel for the price. The only real issues I had were that the elevator did not open on the bottom floor so I had to carry my luggage up a flight of stairs to get from parking level to lobby. Another issue was that part of the pool area was under construction and the restraunt downstairs were closed.
