Das Hotel liegt gleich neben dem Bahnhof (ca. 3 Minuten) in einer schmalen Seitengasse. Trotz der zentralen Lage ist es ruhig und angenehm. Auch das Früstück ist ok gewesen. Man kann es nur weiterempfehlen!

Unser Zimmer war mit Mückenschutzgittern an den Fenstern und Klimaanlage ausgestattet, was den Aufenthalt im Sommer sehr angenehm macht. Es herrschte generell eine freundliche und familiäre Atmosphäre und das Personal war sehr hilfsbereit. Frühstück war ausreichend mit fantastischem frisch zubereitetem Kaffee. My husband and I found this hotel to be very comfortable. The room was large (a triple) and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast in the cute little room was very satisfying. The hotel is about two minutes from the train station and only a little further from the Vaporetto stop. That meant a very short walk with our luggage and pleasant boat rides to the sights. Very convienient for the water taxi stop & the train station, ideal quiet location for exploring. The staff were very very friendly & helpful. The breakfast was excellent with fantastic service. We had a lie-in one day & hit the breakfast rush & although the breakfast room is small the staff remained very professional & the service was still very good. […] The room was nicely decorated & of an acceptable size.Very good value for money. When we first arrived we were a little disappointed because the pictures online where nothing like the hotel, we thought it was right on the water, but it was down an ally way. My boyfriend forgot his sunglasses in our room so when we got to our next hotel in Rome we had e-mailed the hotel to ask if they could send them to us at our new hotel and the UPS company can charge the credit card on file. They said that they could not do this, and we would have to figure out how to get it picked up and sent to our next hotel. Well when we called a company they didn't speak any English so we had to get the front desk staff at our hotel in Rome to call and arrange a pick up. They were very pleased to do so, and were very helpful. I would have been happier about the situation if they would have offered to call and speak to UPS and organize a pick up and drop off... I work at a hotel myself as front desk and it is called a lost and found program, I'm disappointed they do not have something similar. Other than that, our stay was very enjoyable. Mehr

the hotel is extremely close to station literally around the corner. my room is located on the bottom floor and indeed there was some sewage smell but quickly ignored it as i spent the whole day touring venice instead of staying in the room. the room was clean but a little tiny. the space was taken up by a nice comfortable double bed. the staffs were […] extremely friendly and the owner? makes you customized coffee every morning at breakfast. and it is extremely good coffee. Hotel was close to train/bus station. Quite area and nice breakfeast. Very good stay . Old school place.

We stayed in this accommodation; one could hardly call it an hotel, because of its proximity to rail and bus transport. We found it easily having arrived from Florence by train as it is literally 5 mins from the Railway station. It is close to the Grand Canal and the centre of tourist activity - the Lista Di Spagna. It is quite a hike from Rialto bridge […] and St. Marks but we knew that when we booked. The vaporetta stop on the Grand Canal is only three minutes walk from the hotel. The reception and dining areas are very cramped but serviceable. The bedroom was fine with more space than one had anticipated. Most importantly the room was clean although we were a little concerned because it was at the front of the building overlooking Calle Priuli Dei Cavalletti. We thought perhaps it would be noisy (as indeed some reviews have indicated) but that proved not to be the case. Like smaller hotels in Venice there is no lift (elevator) but once again one was aware of this before we booked and it did not cause us any problem. The staff was more than friendly and went out of their way to be helpful. They definitely had the 'personal' touch and that is not often found in larger hotels these days. The breakfast was fine for us and set us up for the day. Given the constraints imposed by the cramped conditions they make the best of it. Breakfast consisted of cereal; fruit juice; a selection of meats and cheese; an ample supply of rolls and croissants with tea or coffee. There was also fresh fruit available. All in all this was one of the highlights of our stay and compares favourably with other accommodation of this size. Internet was free and worked very well with no glitches at all. I know it is far removed from the hub of things (St. Marks and Rialto Bridge) but the advantages of being so close to the rail and bus hub far outweighed those associated with staying at the hub. Beautiful room, friendly staff, and a great breakfast ..... All of that with perfect location makes an awesome vacation!! The hotel is literally a five minute walk from the train station with great places to eat nearby. The water taxis and gondolas are also very close to the hotel. Our stay was perfect....

At first was concerned not being close to San Marco square but this was in walking distance to water taxis and the train station and worked out well.

Small but clean hotel a block away from train station and water stop. Great location.

The people were just lovely and gave a great breakfast. The young man at the desk was extremely helpful....he made us dinner reservations and gave great suggestions and directions. Ordered transportation by car to the airport....etc. etc. They make you feel like family. The room was not as nice as I have found in other places...but it was less money. […] Overall a good experiences and again they could not have made us feel more at home. Mehr

We were early, they didn't mind and took our bags from us cheerfully. They gave us a map and made suggestions. We weren't near San Marco, but we knew that going in. Actually, I like the Cannaregio district. I get off the train, walk two bloks and I dump my bags. Then I;m free to take the number 1 or 2 vapparato and explore beautiful Venice. Lovely rooms, nice staff that speaks English and other languages. Unfortunately the hotel is located right next to some sort of bell tower - you will be woken up at 7:00am...and every hour after. Close to Piazzale Roma, where you will arrive from the airport, but relatively far from everything else. Shower became scalding hot at regular intervals. This hotel is within walking distance from the train station. Service was very nice, like everything in Venice dinning room is very small, breakfast was very good. San Marco Square is a 30 minute walk, maybe more, so if you stay here be ready to walk a lot. Great Hotel for the one day trip to Venice. I could not fault this hotel for value and location. We stayed for 2 nights in a quad room with our 2 teenage children which was clean and easily big enough. The location is excellent- very close to the train station and the Piazzale Roma. The staff were without exception welcoming and helpful. This hotel is recommended to everyone. The owners are a group of retired men and it seems like they love the hotel a lot. So they take good care of it. They are very friendly and helpful. They make sure that your stay is comfortable.

This hotel is very close to the train station & ferry to travel around venice. The staff were very helpful when asked questions. The breakfast room was quaint & the quality excellent, with a great cappucino on offer. Also the owner gentlemen was a delight when serving breakfast. There was airconditioning but no tea/coffee making facilities or refrigerator. […] Internet wi-fi was free & worked well in our room. We would stay at this hotel again without question. Mehr

charming little hotel - close to train station (much easier having that as homebase for your luggage) and still easy to walk or watertaxi to big venice sights. also very nice breakfast that was hosted by the owner while we were there!

if you take train to Venice, this hotel is just around the corner of the train station, it is very convenient to get luggage from the train station to the hotel. We spent probably 10 hours neting for a hotel in Venice for two adults and two children close to the car parking at Tronchetto. The prices are horrific in Venice with poor or inconsistent ratings. We found this hotel which is Superb!. It doesnt look over the canal but is just off the grand canal and 3 mins walk from the station. Venice is suprisingly large and a water taxis will cost €6.50 each and you may still have to drag your case around. This provides quick access to the station and car parking, then you can explore with minimum fuss. There are supermarkets nearby and a chinese restaurant next door at €8 per head. The receptionist Pietro was very helpful and obliging explaining all that we needed to know about our stay at La Locanda. He also went out of his way to find out bus times for our onward journey the following day. At breakfast the gentleman serving us was very kind and polite and the breakfast was good. I recommend this hotel for location particularly regarding onward travel by bus or train as the rail station is about 1 minute away! Polite service. This hotel is a very good deal and literally right beside the train station so it is extremely convenient and easy to get to. I can't imagine staying in Venice and trying to get your luggage in and out of a water taxi and get to your hotel; however, there is a church next door, and the church bell rings at least 150 times throughout the day, as I was […] still in bed and counted. I would ask for a room not facing the front because you can hear everything outside your window such as luggage wheels, heels, everything. It is a good deal and at a convenient location, and if you get up early, and bring earplugs, you should be okay. Mehr

I thought this hotel was great. It is about a 5 minute walk from the main terminal and right in front of a water taxi stop. I was a little concerned I wouldn't find it because it is a ways down an alley, but it is exactly where it is shown on the map. When we arrived, the person at the front desk was very friendly. Spoke English very well, which is […] actually to be expected. She gave us a map of Venice, pointed to all the highlights, and showed us the best routes to get there. I thought the room was very comfortable, especially after having been to other cities in Italy. Fairly large room, and finally a bath stall I could move around in. The hotel did seem it was a bit older, but I would expect that in Venice. Even such, we had very good wifi in the room, free of charge. TV was a bit small, but it was all in Italian so we didn't watch TV at all. We had breakfast in the morning and I swear it was someone's father serving us, as if we were guests in someone's house. Very friendly, served us fresh croissants and our choice of coffees or hot chocolate. I will certainly go back here. Mehr

You must stay at this hotel! We very really thankful that we found this palce. It is so conviniently located right next to the raiway station., we were so glad we didn't have to drag out luggages up and down the bridge or squeeze onto the Riverboat taxis to get to hotels further away. This hotel is in a good location especially if you are travelling by train. Just a few minutes walk to the train and about fifteen minutes to the buses to the airport. Easy to walk to St Marks Square are go by vaporetto. The staff were very helpful and friendly. We arrived at around 9:30 AM to the train station and it was so easy to find this hotel. We were very happy not to be dragging our luggage onto a boat. Not only did the hotel already have our room ready, but they had upgraded us. The room was large, clean, comfortable and charming. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Although not near St. Mark's […] Square, we preferred this neighborhood because it was less touristy and very convenient to the public boat system that can take you to all the tourist traps. For someone who has never been to Venice before it was a good place to stay, particularly when coming in by train as it is situated close to the station. A friendly and convenient hotel.

My fiance and I decided to spend the weekend in Venice after a long week of shopping in Milan. We booked this hotel, primarily because of its proximity to the train station St. Lucia (Venice) and also because of the photos. We were greeted by a very nice front desk person who spoke English and was very helpful. The room had alot to be desired. The bed […] had a very thin mattress and was uncomfortable. The TV was a 14" flatscreen which ended up being more of an eyesore on the wall because it was so small nobody could really see it. The minibar fridge was unplugged to save power so all the drinks inside were hot and smelled from being in a fridge with no power. I called down to get an iron and found out that you cannot iron in your room in Italy, some government regulation. When I asked the second shift front desk clerk what to do? She said I dont know, call a laundry service. It was almost comical. With all that being said, the place is literally around the corner from the train station. So if your looking for a place that is at par with a bed and breakfast, and lcose to the train station, this is your kind of hotel. Mehr

We were very happy with this hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good and the cappucino was excellent. The rooms were clean and spacious. It is very close to public transportation - water bus, coaches. It was a great way to start off our trip to Italy.

La Locanda di Orsini is a little gem hidden in the narrow streets of Venice.Rooms were clean and comfortable,front desk extremely nice and helpful, breakfast was good an abundant, AC was great.Owner very friendly and congenial.Location was very convenient to the train station, you don't have to drag your luggage through the streets or take the "vaporeto"with […] lugage that I think it should be a nightmare.When we go back to Venice this will absolutely the place we will choose nto stay.Only drawback no lift and if you are heavy the shower is kind of small,but this was not a problem for us.
