"10 Dollar Aufpreis"Bewertet von einem Hotels.com Gast am 4. Mai. 2012

"Kostengünstige Alternative in San Francisco"

"Older, yes, but a good bargain"
I chose it for the location and price, and I have to agree that this place provides the basics for cheaper than lots of other places. OK, so the towels are not always new, but everything was clean, and everything worked. Like any older motel, it has some things that are less than stellar, mainly, in my case, the usual noise from adjoining rooms and […] doors closing. Parking is scarce - but you can park on nearby side streets if the small lot is full - I walked to downtown during the week, a little over a mile away. No breakfast, but with a fridge and microwave, you'll be OK. I'd stay there again without a thought - but earplugs can be handy, to be sure. Mehr
"Good location for GIANTS games!"
Ricky the manager is very nice and helpful! The hotel is within walking distance from AT&T Park, and very close to other attractions such as Union Square. Yes there was some construction going on next door, but since I knew this beforehand it was not a big problem. I would definitely stay here again and recommend to others!
"I highly recommend the Self-Service..."
When trying to check-in, the desk clerk was on the phone the whole time, interupted often by him saying, "just a minute" (almost ten minutes to get my room). Later, when the toilet clogged, the same clerk looked at me as if I was from Mars when I asked for a plunger. Seems my clog was the first one ever, and he scoured the place searching for THE plunger, […] and he just handed it to me, rather than perhaps addressing the issue himself. Aside from that, it's a windy area, and the door jamb is not very well-sealing, so the temperature was hard to moderate. Fantastic area, though!!! Mehr
"Family run, attention to cleanliness"
Even though the neighborhood appears somewhat run down, I found the room to be comfortable and very clean. Considering the location, it's not a bad little place to stay if you need to be near the city.
"Bay Bridge Inn"
The service was great. The room was clean. Free parking a plus.
"Bay Bridge Inn"
Great location because its only a 10 minute walk to Moscone. Construction next door was irritating starting at 7am and walls are thin, but other noise wasn't bad.
"San Fransisco Motel"
The first thing to review is the location of this motel. It was located on a very busy street between a condo complex and across from mechanic shops. There was loud new construction going on next door from 7am to almost 8pm the entire time. The motel was walking distance from Union Square about 10 or so blocks. Ricky, the manager was nice enough to […] give us a map and tell us what areas to stay out of. He gave us the most direct route which required a person to walk through the very sketchy part of town. However, if he would of directed us to walk 2 blocks over to Peets Coffee & QFC then walk up to Union, it would of been a much nicer & safer walk. The room itself was poorly maintained which was surprising because there is crown molding around the top. There was patch work done very poorly and never repainted over and there were dead bugs smooshed on the walls in the bathroom and black mold on the tiles in the bathroom. The bathroom towels were very old and had lost their whiteness and fluff. Also, to my concern and dismay, the towels didn't even smell like they were washed with detergent or bleach. There was a window unit but it didn't bleed out the construction noise, traffic, and the drive by car that threw out a TV behind the building. As we were walking to the corner, we noticed the notes hanging in the car windows notifying robbers there wasn't anything of value in their cars. We made sure not to leave anything in the car eventhough we parked in the parking lot provided. The house keepers didn't speak English. I had mentioned to Ricky that I was out of the room for the day so my room could be serviced. He asked to me to tell the house keepers directly. Needless to say, they nodded that they understood but when I came back that evening, the room wasn't done. Ricky, the Manager confronted the housekeepers in front of me which I felt was extremely unprofessional and made me feel very uncomfortable and I am sure embarrissed the housekeepers as well. This could o Mehr

"The crazy yelling hotel manager!"
When we (Zac and I) showed up a little early to check in, the manager told us to come back in 1hr. When we came back he told us it would be 3hrs and the hotel was being sprayed by an exterminator. What they were spraying smelled bad and I have asthma, so I asked the manager to not spray the inside of our room. He freaked out and started yelling at me. […] Then he said that we'd have to stay in another hotel on New Years night, that we should start looking for another hotel right away, because there was going to be so much noise from construction and he wouldn't give a refund due to noise. So I asked him our room number, then I asked the exterminator to not spray our room. But they still sprayed the air intake for our heater and my car got hit, so the smell of pesticides permeated the room and the inside of my car for the whole weekend. When we finally were allowed to check in about 5pm, I only had 2 hours to sleep before the start of a 7pm concert, so I was nodding off inside the concert instead of enjoying the music. We were in town for 3 nights of new years concerts. After the first nights concert we got food, and got to the hotel around 3am. We fell asleep, only to be woken just before 11am by the manager and one of the maids. The manager was holding our "do not disturb" sign that we'd placed on the door. He was waving it around angrily and he screamed, "What is THIS? You put do not disturb sign up! This is unacceptable! You must allow the maid to clean your room - or you're OUT!" As he yelled, he waved the do not disturb sign around angrily as though it was a weapon. We apologized profusely and told the maid she could clean our room, but she refused to do it! She only gave us new towels. Then we walked down to the area outside the concert where people were hanging out. My former room mate will was hanging out there and I'd brought his personal property that he'd left at my house when he'd lived there, but I'd left it at the hotel in his backpack. So I asked will to Mehr

"Quite Okay"
I picked this hotel when i attended the AGU conference in December. It is about 10 minute walk to the Moscone center. I asked the very friendly lady staff if it is safe to walk at night from downtown to the inn and the lady said that it is. Indeed it is. Two nights that I went home around 1 in the morning from Union Square to the inn and I felt safe. The […] bathroom is not so clean, but I expected it. The bed was comfy enough and sheets are replaced everyday. Free internet was fast too. Mehr

"Bay Bridge Inn Location, Location, Location"
Initially I was very worried by cheap hotel and what but attracted me was location. Once arrived the personnel front desk was kind and noticing my stay was by attend a conference they gave me a modest but very clean room with little noise. They Were always friendly and good manners. When applying for a taxy to carry me back to the airport they made […] all arrangements for a shuttle very punctual and very affordable. Definitive I recommend it widely. Mehr

"Walking distance to ATT Park"
We stayed here to see Cirque Du Soleil at ATT Park. We were easily able to use the free parking at the hotel and walk to the show. Whole Foods Market was only a couple of blocks from the hotel for great hotel snacks. Neighborhood felt safe and front desk person was really nice.

"Bay Bridge Inn - San Fran - nearby construction"
First off, the management of the hotel are very friendly. They try to help out with whatever problems there may be and if they can't to help out in some other way. For example, there was construction going on outside the building right next door to us and the one complaint about the hotel I have is that the rooms a noisy in that you hear noise easily […] from outside. People walking in heels, laughing, and of course loud construction noise. The construction was not supposed to begin until later because it is considered a residential neighborhood but that was something being taken up with the city. Anyway, the management continually apologized about the construction and offered to let us park the car in the small parking available for free after we checked out that entire day. Probably would have offered us more but the hotel was inexpensive enough and since we booked indirectly, I don't think he could have given any discounts. The continental breakfast was just prepackaged Danish. If you're just using the hotel as a base for storing your suitcase and getting a little rest, it's worth the price, and hopefully they will be done with construction next door. Mehr
"Good deal for the money"
This is not a Marriot Marquis. If that's what you're looking for you'll be disappointed. But if you want a small, clean, comfortable room for not much money, stay here.

"Good location and service"
I would recommend this hotel, as we were satisfied with the service and location. It took us about 20 minutes to get to Union Square. Staff is friendly, room s are clean and nice.
"Bay Bridge Hotel in San Francisco"
We had a thoroughly enjoyable short stay in this hotel. It is a bit of a distance from Fishermans Wharf, but there is the Streetcar only a few blocks away & they are an experience worth having & only a couple of bucks each way. Room had fridge & microwave & free WI-FI & Ricky on the desk was very, very helpful, very attentive & gave us some great tips […] & information. Parking in San Francisco is ridiculous, so the free parking offered by this hotel is worth another 10 - 15 dollars a day. Mehr
"Bay Shore Inn"
Bay Shore is an older hotel but is maintained well. Ricky, in the office, would do anything for you. The location was convenient for us to walk to AT & T ballpark, which was our main destination. The coffee was always on!

"Price and location are the only positives"
Stayed here two nights because it had a central enough location and was the cheapest I could find with one day left until check in. Uncomfortable bed and dirty bathroom with a fan that made more noise than a chainsaw. Only reason for me to go back is location. Price is lower on other hotels if you are able to book a few days in advance.
"For Giants Games"
We went for two nights for Giant games, looked at hotels, main goal was for parking, hard lesson learned from last year's experience with parking at Giants games! Ricky, the owner of Bay Bridge Inn was awesome, made extra sure we were comfortable. Parking was tight, he made sure we had a spot. The Inn is on the older side and not perhaps in the best […] of neighborhoods, but it was clean and we felt walking to the games and back there were no issues or concerns. We would definately stay there again for future game trips! Mehr

"Very good location for SOMA visit"
very good location for South of Market activities. Small but comfortable budget motel. Parking is included which is a plus in SF. I will continue to use this motel as it is very convenient to my business location in SF. The management tries very hard to make your stay comfortable.

"fantastic service!"
This is a basic no frills motel, but the service makes it a four star experience. If you are into complaining about a basic room, don't go. But if you want to be treated like royalty, this is the place..
"The Bay Bridge motel, nice for the price"
It ain't The Four Seasons, but was a very clean no-frills restfulplace to spend the night. Plus THEY HAVE PARKING! Owner is accommodating.
"A great value and wonderful service."
OK, let's start with a reality check: This is not the Ritz Carlton, and if you want business-class accommodations, don't book a room here and then whine about being disappointed. And please don't gripe about the noise or the neighborhood -- that's just dumb. But if you're looking for good basic accommodations, a GREAT value for the money, and attentive […] service, this is a great option. The location is convenient for anyone who needs to stay in the heart of the city, Moscone, SOMA, the ballpark. etc. Ricky is a wonderful host -- the guy works 24 hours a day, and he deserves credit for making this place the great value that it is. My room was clean, the bed was comfortable (and no, there were no bedbugs), and everything worked. I got up in the morning and came back at night, and my room was always made up when I returned. Like I said, good basic accommodations for value-conscious travelers who need a clean, comfortable place to sleep. Be realistic about what you want from a hotel, and this could be an excellent option! Mehr
"Bay Bridge Inn"
If you are looking for a lower end inexpensive hotel then this is for you. Rooms are old, mold in the bathrooms and ceilings. It is close to AT&T park but it is not a very nice hotel. The check in was 2 hours late but the help was pleasant. Spend the extra $50.00 and stay at a nicer hotel.
"Best place to stay for Moscone"
If you are looking to stay in this area, this is the only hotel I'd choose. Not only is it half the price of nearby hotels, it is in a great location, a 10 minute walk from the Moscone and right on bus and rail lines. The manager is absolutely fantastic, pointing out all the best places to go, and mentioning which parts of the city to avoid. It is definitely […] a small inn, and not as fancy as some other hotels, but really, how much time will you spend in your room anyway? Also, free private parking is a great bonus. Definitely recommended. Mehr
"Exceeded all expectations!"
I highly recommend the Bay Bridge Inn. My review is based on a 5 day stay. The service was exceptional and the owners are probably the nicest hotel/motel/inn personnel I have ever encountered. I had to check out of the hotel around 4am and was greeted in the most friendly way possible (by the owner/manager), who also helped by calling a cab and offering […] to make coffee while I waited. Highlights: Very close to all forms of public transportation; 24 hour service desk; fresh towels and bedsheets daily; helpful advice on where to travel within the city; very little exterior noise; overall excellence. I spent most daylight hours within the city and used the room for sleep/rest only. If you are interested in high levels of hotel/inn entertainment than this may not be the place for you. If you are interested in simple comfort and a quality stay, than this inn may be as perfect for you as it was for me. You really can't beat the quality, price, and location combination. Mehr
"customer service was unbelievably great"
went to go to at&t park, alcatraz and other various tourist attractions. good location, clean room. front desk was extremely helpful. Ricky was his name and he helped me with everything that i needed. offered to call a cab, even offered to call dominos for me if i let him know what i wanted. he told me customer satisfaction was important to him and […] he showed it. even allowed me to keep my luggage at the hotel while i visited last minute things before the shuttle picked us up, so instead of lugging all of the luggage, we just had our shuttle pick us up at bay bridge and it was safely there. would recommend for anyone wanting to stay and visit the city. made the experience even greater knowing we were safe and could call anytime at the front desk for anything. "Bay Bridge-Best service I've ever had in a hotel!!"
This was our first time to visit San Francisco (my husband and I - no kids) and at first I was a bit scared to be honest about the location. By looks, I thought "BAD LOCATION, NOT GOING TO BE CLEAN AT ALL, IT'S GONNA BE TRASHY"... I was wrong. I've never been so impressed with the customer service in a hotel before. The maids cleaned our room every […] day; whatever we needed it was instantly taken care of... and I'm pretty demanding to be honest. By the time we left, we felt as if we've always known RICKY (very nice at the front desk) ... he treated us as family. Let us know the best places with their personal map. He circled all the places that are great to go (and not to go)... every recommendation of a place to eat was right on. He constantly said that us being happy, safe and satisfied was first priority and he showed it. I'm very skeptical and a mommy of 3, we live in WV - so this customer service plus was wonderful. We walked to almost everything (took a cab twice because I was just being lazy) The hotel was clean - I always take my own blankets (it's a personal thing). This isn't the hilton, but a perfect place for my husband and I to sleep, rest and relax. I even called Ricky and asked him about a street and where to go because we were lost... VERY SATISFIED AND WILL ALWAYS STAY HERE WHEN WE COME BACK TO SAN FRANCISCO!!! Went to AT&T park twice and it was just a great stay!!! Cable cars are so neat, fishermans warf was a place to see, went to the theatre.... We were very happy customers of this place!!! Could go on and on.... Mehr
"Bay Bridge Inn- San Francisco"
well, if you don't mind mold, and hearing EVERYTHING from the rooms around you while you try to sleep this hotel is fine. As I stayed there during a professional conference, the noise and mold was a definite issue to my health and rest. I do NOT recommend this hotel.
"Affordable and close to convention center"
I was on a budget for my recent trip to Moscone Convention Center in SF, so the Bay Bridge Inn was a natural choice. It's just a few quick blocks over to Moscone, with a Whole Foods on the way as a bonus! The hotel staff was very (very!) friendly which is always a plus. On the downside, since the Bay Bridge Inn is setup as a motel, it can get pretty […] loud outside at night sometimes. Definitely check this hotel out if you are going to a convention and need an affordable place to stay. Mehr

"Bay Bridge Inn- Convenient and Comfortable"
Despite driving up to make my check in at 3am, the front desk man was ready and friendly. He worked out a place for parking, and gave me some safety advice before sending me on my way. I had to change to the room with the bedsize i requested in the morning, but that is to be expected when one checks in at 3am. Though the immediate area looks sketchy, […] the front desk man assured me there was nothing to worry about, and he was right. There wasnt a single incident of any kind the entire time I was there. It is conveniently located like a block off from a bay bridge exit, which was very helpful to a person who had a lot of trouble navigating around SF (like me). Its also a short walk from many things to see and do, like movie theaters, museums, and shopping centers, so I saved my self the expensive city parking fees and left my car at the Inn for free. Breakfast, lunch, or even midnight snacks are just a short walk away. Comfort-wise the room was great. Heating and cooling worked fine and was easily adjustible, lots of cable tv channels, WIFI took a bit of set up before working just fine too. Sort of a minus to it being so near the freeway exit is that people get on thier car horns a lot during the heavy traffic hours and occasionally late at night sometimes. My only real gripe was with the cleaning lady. She knocked twice quickly before unlocking and opening the door, just when i happened to in the bathroom partially unclothed, unable to hear the knocks over the loud bathroom vent @_@ . I jumped behind the door before she stuck her head in to ask if i needed anything, but still... A little more warning would have been appreciated. A small complaint really, in the face of how great everything else about the place is. I would definitely reccomend it to others, and would stay there again next time I visit SF. Mehr
"Nice place in SAN FRAN for little money"
