"Not Up To Par"
I had heard La Quinta was sprucing up their hotels. The Davenport La Quinta had new carpet, drapes, bedspreads. Then there was very old furniture and a bathroom out of the stone age. Who ever is doing the redo isn't good. Little things like the caulk on a new tub was speared over the floor. The breakfast was fine. If they are going to charge the price […] they do the place better look it. The next night I was in a Super 8, thirty dollars less, and it was cleaner and without any questionable items for the cheap price. I was pleasantly surprised. Mehr
"super nice staff"
The staff was incredibly nice and very helpful. A few of the facilities were messed up, like the treadmill didnt work, there was no water or towels in the work out area, few or no towels in pool area, but when called to the attention of staff they dropped everything to try and fix things. Still that can be a pain and wastes your time. There was also […] some remodeling going on so they deserve a break for that. OK hotel...shower was peeling, beds not very comfy. Ok for a quick stay. I think the price could be slightly lower for what it is. I spent $10 more in the same city the next night and slept at a far superior hotel.

"Remote From Hell."
Our room was a long walk from either oarking spot, and the hotel was not busy so we could have had a room more convienent. Remote for TV didn't work right and the desk clerk told me, "You have to point it at the TV for it to work right." He changed the batteries and no difference. There was no fridge or microwave. Room was clean, bed was comfortable. Good bargain.

"Didn't wash sheets, very Gross!"
My girlfriend and I were getting ready to go to bed, and upon pulling the cover back to reveal the sheets underneath the covers, there were black curly hairs all over the sheets. We covered them back up and slept in our clothes on the covering blankets. It was disturbing to realize the lack of care they took to clean the sheets.

We were very suprised with the cleanliness. The hotel has been updated and was very nice. We enjoyed our stay. The breakfast was great with a nice variety and the exercise room had good equipment.

The exterior of the hotel has recently been remodeled. The interior is in need of remodeling and is scheduled to be completed soon. Regardless, the room was clean and comfortable, the service was good and there was a free continental breakfast. It was a great value.

Clean, reasonable, close to highways, gas and a few dinning options. Decent breakfast included plus USA today newspaper. Staff not overly friendly though compared to other La Quintas.

There is constriction going on that makes the place filty. My room card would not work 5 times and I had to go to the front counter every time. The breakfast is very fattening !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We had no complaints with our stay- other than the pool not being heated. It was way too cold to be able to get in & enjoy. Other than that- we enjoyed our stay & would stay there again.

Thank goodness they are remodeling because it really needs it! The desk clerk said there were starting on the outside and then working on the inside. They should have started on the inside first!

I always use Hotels.com and usually opt for La Qunitas. 9 times out of 10 I'm more than satisfied w/ my stay... this is the 1 time i wasn't. with that said, it was probably the best option in this area at this price point.

After a 13 hour drive we arrived to the hotel to a friendly welcome by Jennifer. Her hospitality helped my attitude. The hotel was nice and I would stay there again. Thanks for the wonderful end to a long day!
The only thing that I really saw that bothered me is when I showered and the mirror steamed it said that Madison hearts Alex. Made me wonder what else they had not cleaned. Also the bed spread and blanket had holes in them. Other wise it was a great pool area we had all to ourselves and the room was nice and cool when we got there on a hot day! We had several problems with this hotel. 1. The toilet tank did not fill with water properly making it impossible to flush the toilet. When we reported the problem, they insisted that it flushed properly so left it. On day 2 we had the same problem and reported it again. They finally fixed the problem. 2. The hallway stunk, in some places of urine. 3. […] Housekeeping provided fresh towels but left the bed unmade (day 4). 4. No soap or shampoo provided. 5. Soiled wash cloth provided as "fresh." Our overall stay was good/ok. The hotel could use a face lift but was good for the price. The only concern I had was in the upstairs hallway there were missing ceiling tiles and some broken but still in place. I looked like they were dealing with leaking water or condensation problems in the ceiling. A small sign of pardon our dust or construction sign […] would have been nice just to know this isn't how they keep their hotel. Like I already mention it was a good stay for the price just needs a little updating. I do have to say that the free breakfast was more then I was expecting and was great. And free parking is always a plus! We only stayed one night and went to a concert the night we stayed and they were friendly and courteous in helping us find a taxi service to pick us up. "Overnight and out"
This hotel is good for those who only need a short stay. The hotel condition needed some attention and the elevator was dirty - should have been cleaned. The room was clean. Staff was nice. Climate controls in room were very dated and were in a very inconvenient location.

Great Staff - Only drawback - I need a high protein breakfast - not starch or carbohydrates - It would have been better if there had been at least boiled eggs or something like that. The hotel was filled with incomplete "renovations", the lock on our first rooms door was broken, the first floor smelled like cigarette smoke, the upstairs hallway smelled like kitty litter, our room looked like it had water damage, neither ice machine worked and the desk attentant stated the upstairs machine had been broken for months, we noticed the […] following day of our stay that 1 of the outlets in our room had a black substance around it unknown if it was mold or charred, the pool was the best part aside from the excessive amount of moisture and water all over everything in the pool room n bathroom Mehr

The room was an outstanding value for the cost. We will definitely stay here again and would reccommend it to others.
"Great place at a decent price"
This hotel was a great place to stay and my only complaint would be an early housekeeping call that woke us up. The room and amenities were not outdated, everything was clean, and the beds and pillows were comfy.

Room & bathroom was clean, but ceiling did have some questionable spots. Breakfast was good. They were in the process of tearing the roof off, so things were a little messy in places. Pizza resturant in front of hotel was great. An ok place to stay.

The toliet would not flush. Requested it to be fixed. Still did not work the next morning. The bathroom floor had hair and dirt, like it had not been swept recently. The bed & bedding smelt awful.
