The room that we got was on the first floor and the view was nothing but the roof,duct work and vents. The TV didn't work either. The Hotel location was great but we were disappointed in the room.

The hotel location was fantastic, right in the historic heart of Derry, very convenient! Hotel stuff was friendly enough. However there were couple of things which make our stay kind of unpleasant. When we arrived we were told that the hotel car park is full and to park on the street. The gym facilities were poor of equipment (no many of weights /lifting […] stuff and no lifting machines at all, only one gym pad etc.) The shower in sauna was out of service and the temperature in sauna was 110 degrees of Celsius which was literally burning the skin! Complimentary internet access was available only in lobby (this has not been mentioned while booking at hotels.com at all). The most disappointing thing over all was that we were charged for breakfast which should have been included as per the booking info on hotels.com, this has not been included in the reservation!!! We somehow did not get the impression that we are staying in 4 star hotel, I am sorry, I would not recommend this place... Mehr

Excellent location, hotel staff were very helpful and kind, would love til come back again,

A nice Hotel in a great location. I stay here about 1-2 times a month, the hotel is nice, although not up to the same standard as other 4 star hotels i stay in. The location is excellent and the service is usualy good. The rooms are sometimes a bit warm even without the heating on and with no air con in any of the rooms i have used i would probably […] not be using it in the summer. Tv's in the rooms are older crt types, so if like me you bring along a laptop etc to watch films/dvd's on you cant plug it into the tv, wireless internet is avaliable but you have to pay. Mehr

Only stayed 1 night but very nice, clean, friendly staff. My only gripe was-A bottle of water was left on a tray and a sign sticking out "enjoy this water" so my husband when we returned to the room after our night out opened the bottle dranked some of it only to discover it was sparkling which he doesn't like so let it there and then the next morning […] to top it all read the rest of the sign which was covered by bottle and we now had to pay £2.95 for it.!! really pleased with everything- but I had heard the rooms had all been recently refurbished- however our room was standard- can only imagine they have not got round to refurbishing all rooms as yet. This was the only disappointing aspect everything else was top notch. Advise requesting a refurbished room on booking.

All the staff in the hotel were very helpful and friendly, nothing too much trouble. We checked in on a Saturday during December which meant the hotel was extremely busy with Christmas parties etc which meant we could not book a table in the restaurant for our evening meal. The staff suggested eating in the bar area with the same menu but was really […] too busy to find a table so we went out. Not a problem really. Breakfast very good. and the meal we had in the hotel (had to eat in the bar area) was excellent and value for money. We did the walking tour on the Sunday morning which was very enjoyable and again excellent value. The tour guide was very friendly and at the end of the tour we got a free cup of coffee!! The location of the hotel was superb couldn't have been better. Would definately recommend it and return in the future. Mehr

I really enjoy this hotel. The staff very friendly. Food was superb. Sometimes breakfast was a little chaotic but the staff dealt with this well. If I was returning I would ask for a room not on the top floor as there was a confinous humming noise from a fan. I do not know if this was on every floor. Also I would ask for a room away from the road as […] there was traffic noise. Perhaps the back rooms would have been quieter. Cleanliness perfect. Change of linen and towels perfect. If returning to derry I would still choose this hotel. Mehr

Hotel in very good central location. Room was comfortable. Staff helpful. Buffet breakfast was tasty with a good selection of items. If returning to the city would definitely stay in this hotel again.

The hotel required payment upfront. i had to stay an extra night and again asked for another payment upfront. The price for the room and hotel too expensive. they have had broken/repaired furniture. at the 3rd day i run out of bathroom (low quality) accessories (never replenished up to then) and i had to go to reception and take it myself. breakfast […] was not included at the price, if booked previous day there was a discount. had to pay upfront again. Positive sides: Staff was friently Car par was free All in all not a good value for money, they are trying to cut costs and is having a real negative effect at the level of service they deliver. There was a hotel shortage at the time and i had no choice but to stay there. Before going to the hotel I stayed in another one in town, much better value. Mehr

The Tower Hotel is centrally located and very convenient to all city centre amenities. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the hotel rooms and hotel in general was very clean. Our room was very warm and when we asked to move rooms the staff were very accomodating and had no objections to our request. The room was spacious with more beds than we asked for. It was clean and in good repair. There was a 110 outlet in the bathroom. The restaurant required reservations so we ate at the pub up the street which had good reasonable steaks. Finding the parking lot and getting the little car into it was a real challenge. This pleasant, no-fuss hotel offers value, excellent standards of accommodation and cleanliness. We stayed three nights and we will definitely be back again. We found the staff helpful and friendly. I stayed in the Tower Hotel in Derry with my two adult daughters for a weekend recently. The staff at the reception desk went out of their way to provide us with information about the city - shopping restaurants etc. They provided maps and detailed directions and really were the best asset of the hotel.

We booked at the tower because it was close to the town centre. We were given a very dissapointing room on the back of the hotel overlooking the airconditioners. We complained and were moved to a lovely room on teh front. The staff were very helpful and courteous.

Staff lovely, the lady we checked in with was very nice at front desk, loads of info, when we asked her about where we could have a few drinks, she told us were there was live music, very helpful. And we enjoyed the pub, busy & live music, just what we like. Room was lovely, bathroom massive, shower fab, wow what a shower, I nearly didnt wan't to get […] out. Breakfast - the staff were lovely, toast, tea all good, however sausages & pudding not nice at all (not off, just not nice, we both love a full breakfast and the best part is the sausages and pudding), I eat only half of one and didnt enjoy it at all. It might be worth reviewing your supplier, it was disappointing not enjoying it, as it is meant to set you up for the day... Mehr

Had a great time in Derry City, the staff at the tower were very helpful and are a great advert for Ireland! The rooms are spotless we only had breakfast in the hotel and it was fine. We are planning our next trip!
