My only complaint is the parking garage. I scraped the outside mirror of my car trying to back out of a space. If you do not have a small car, it is very difficult to park in the garage. The hotel itself is wonderful.

Loved our stay. The room was very comfortable and convenient to everything for us.

The hotel really needs to be updated. Painting would be a good start. I also think housekeeping needs to be better trained, most do not speak english well and may not know what is really expected of them. The location was ideal for us and the setting great, right on the beach. We were there for a family gathering and it all went really well.

Room was clean and quiet; staff was courteous and helpful. Hotel design restricts ocean view slightly. Parking deck is across street with no security but i had no problems (security cameras would be nice).

I will book again for next year. very pleased with the rooms. a bit pricey

it was the greatest hotel I ever seen

My family was there,when we went down to the poor,and we hanging the tag "do not deburf" out side the people work there went inside my room to seeking my stuff I was lucky came back to my room and saw them. I did not refer anybody to them

This was an overnight trip, and Avista was the closest hotel to the event I was attending and could get a reservation at the last minute. Didn't spend much time in the room, but it was perfect for this occasion.

Ocean front, what a joke. You could see the ocean in front of you , but no view up and down the beach.No privacy on your balcony due to how the hotel stucture was.Beds were to hard.Couch you could feel the springs in it..So worn out. We work to hard for our money..This mini vacation was awful at this hotel...Never again.

this is the second year in a row we have stayed at avista and i know that we will book again next year. we had a girls weekend and this place was just perfect. the location is great, very family oriented but we also didn't feel crowded or surrounded by kids. the room was so clean and comfortable and the staff was wonderful. we could not ask for more […] from a beach front resort for the price we paid. can't wait for next summer's trip already! Great place, staff some what short at first but, made up for it by the end of the week. I think they lasc services that other resorts offer, babysitting comes to mind. The restaurant is nice but the food quality is poor. Additionally, I do not recommend room service at Avista.

Our husband and I spent Valentines Weekend here, the hotel was very nice, the staff was very friendly and our room was oceanfront...lovely. We will definitely be back next year!

A three block walk to NMB Main St, with several restaurants. My favorite was Flynn's. Housekeeping did a good job. The overall condition was very good. I am thinking this may be our alternate to the Beach Cove for our next family reunion.

Enjoyed the ocean front room. It was clean, comfortable and the staff was very frendly. A great value for the money. A little bit of a drive to the golf courses to the south of Myrtle Beach. We plan on staying here again

The Avista Resort was absolutely perfect for our weekend getaway. Due to the way the building is shaped nearly every room is either oceanfront or has a view of the ocean. The pool area had a few nicks and tears here and there, but while we were swimming, the maintenance crew came out and started re-painting the pool deck. Hotel was clean, pool was alot of fun, beach is feet away, you will not be disappointed with this resort,

We really enjoyed our stay at the Avista. It was quite a drive from the souvenir shops along Ocean Blvd, but we were looking for that, as we wanted a little more quiet. We saw the dolphins swim by one morning and that was a treat. The pools could have been maintained much better, as they look a little dated, but the water was clean. The food price was […] too high in the restaurant located there, but we were able to cook in the room, which saved lots of money. The little washer/dryer they have in the room is quite worthless. You can't put much in it, of course, but the little you put in takes hours to dry....not worth it....might better take the washer/dryer out and give you more pantry space. All in all, the room was quite nice and met our needs. We would definitely recommend it and go back again. Mehr

our room happened to smell like someone had vomited in the room some days prior and it hadn't been cleaned properly, which was the most disturbing part of the stay. thankfully, we weren't in the room most of the time. the full kitchen was great to have & it was nice to be beachfront.

This hotel was quite nice...We had a little trouble finding the hotel, although it was our first time staying at (North) Myrtle Beach. We stayed in an oceanfront condo suite with a fully stocked kitchen, washer/dryer, private balcony, dishwasher, coffee maker, wireless internet, etc. It was clean and pretty quiet; no complaints there. The bathroom was […] large with a nice deep bathtub; the beds were comfortable (even the murphy bed). The staff was friendly and helpful. Location is right on the beach (which the balcony overlooked), and there are numerous pools on the property as well (which were cleaned each morning). Parking is free in a garage straight across the street from the resort itself. The only real issues encountered were (1)the unloading area for arrivals/departures is below the resort; the area is quite small and cramped with only one exit/entrance; (2) there are only three elevators for the tower we stayed in which meant they could be slow at times; (3) the entrance to our room (and the neighboring room) was down a narrow corridor with a beam in the middle which makes it difficult to maneuver luggage and/or a luggage cart; (4) the bathroom (while big) lacks counterspace; (5) the pools lack a division between adult only and kid only so they all are busy with kids most times of the day; and (6) the fitness room is unattended and does not offer disinfectant clothes to wipe the equipment off with; it offers towels and has a bottle of disinfectant spray; yet, I was the only person who ever touched the bottle while I was there; also, some of the equipment seemed to be older as they did not run as smoothly as other machines I have used in the past. Overall, however, we had an enjoyable stay; the positives outweighed any negatives. We would stay here again and recommend this hotel to others. Mehr

super great location, awesome for the price< the bell boys are not very helpful (and look like they need a haircut and shave badly) and the registration parking is a nightmare!!! if you drive an suv beware! the parking garage is across the street and going up or down is really tight! however our family was very happy the pool is great and the ocean […] is right near your room! the housekeepers are the best!!! Loved this hotel and will be returning in the near future. Parking was not convenient though.

great place, wonderful service, beautiful location. the parking garage would be the only thing we were not crazy about, but it will not stop us from booking with this hotel again.

Couldn't have been happier with the hotel or location. Good staff, clean and modern rooms.

loved the location and very comfortable. there was always something to do,always a list of activities. We enjoyed the indoor and outdoor pools and lazy rivers. We will definetly be back.

This was my first visit and it was awesome from the spacious room and the ocean view the room service was outstanding and the food at the restaurant great i will stay in avista again soon

Great Place to stay for the money at a resort area.

Nice pool complex, great for kids, in room kitchen was great way to save money. Right on the beach. Hotel is somewhat new. Did not eat in the restaurant, but good to have that option. Parking garage is across the street, but that is no big deal to us. Would stay there again if the price is right.

I have stayed here before and it is an excellent value with great staff. Would definitely recommend to others and stay there again.
