Das Hotel liegt in genialer Lage 1min vom Altstätter Ring. Von hier aus kann man vieles zu Fuss erlaufen. - Der Eingangsbereich des Hotels lädt nicht sonderlich ein, da er dunkel und düster ist. Auch sonst ist das Hotel sehr einfach. Für einen Kurztripp und wenn man das Geld lieber für was anderes ausgibt, ist es aber ideal! Better than we had expected. Entry is easy enough (ring the second button, 24-hour staff buzzes you in at once) and up the stairs. Room was very comfortable and pleasant, surprisingly spacious. Toilet sometimes requires more than one flush to work. Hotel staff is outstandingly helpful. Complimentary breakfast is excellent, whether one wants just coffee […] and pastry or a full meal. Location is terrific, right in the middle of Old Town, just 2 short blocks from Wenceslas Square--a real tourist area, but very convenient. The hotel is in very good location and the staffs are very nice. Breakfasts are ok. C/P value is high.

good location, service, breakfast, bed.....

Just wanted a clean and well situated hotel to stay in for a short break.....hotel melantrich is situated close to everything, very clean hotel, very friendly staff, very reasonable rate for the hotel. breakfast included in room rate. definitely recommend this hotel and would stay here again.

My friend and I, having never been to Prague before, booked this hotel and were pleasantly surprised by what we found. The rooms we booked each had 2 single beds in them. As others have noted, there was no AC and the rooms were hot, but the windows did open. I can see why this would be unbearable in the summer, but during the fall it wasn't too bad. […] We were pleasantly SURPRISED to find Free Wi-fi. We were also pleasantly SURPRISED to find that this hotel seems to be located in the center of it all. Located near lots of shops, restaurants and close to the St. Charles bridge, we both felt that the location was safe and perfect. The hotel is also located only blocks away from the mustek subway stop, making getting to and from the train station easy. The staff was pleasant and spoke English. The hotel was very affordable, as well. The free breakfast was traditional Czech, but wasn't our cup of tea. We were pleasantly surprised by this hotel and would be back if in the area again. Mehr

Typical "smaller" hotel, unlike the North American style ones. This hotel uses traditional keys to lock/unlock the room doors. Don't forget to lock the door again with the key after closing the door! No AC, no elevator it'd be tough in the summer but we were fine in October with the windows open. This location is convenient as it's close to the subway […] station and walking distance to all the attractions. The Havelak restaurant is also very reasonable and has some delicious entrees. Mehr

The hotel is conveniently located near major attractions and the mustek metro station. The staff are very helpful and friendly, especially Tomas, who has made our stay very enjoyable.

This hotel is less than a minute from old town square and the astronomical clock. You couldn't beat the location for the price! There is a market right next door and plenty of restaurants around, free wifi in the rooms and breakfast was provided. Definitely recommended, you couldn't go wrong with this place (although there is no lift!).

you can't beat the location right next to old town square. and, although it seems like it would be loud around the hotel, it was amazingly quiet. no complaints.

Hotel Melantrich is just a three-minute walk from Old Town Square and close to the shopping streets, Wenceslaus Square, and the Metro station. It's on a busy pedestrian street, but our room was overlooking a courtyard and fairly quiet, although there was some noise from the restaurant below. This hotel is located smack bang in the heart of Prague. Very clean and tidy, staff very helpfull and the breakfast is of high Standard. Can't fault this hotel would stay again and encourage other travelers to stay

only downside is that is no air conditioning in the rooms. So we have to open ventilation windows, so there is noise of the people on the street for all over the night. The hotel is a minute walk to the Astronomical Clock which is actually the old city heart.

Location Location location... this is a very nice hotel right in the middle of old town of prague. Pros: 1. Loacation: all old city atractions are is in walking distance 2. Politness of the staff - always ready to help. There's an old reception guy there which is very very nice. Cons: 1. No elevator to the reception. If you have a heavy bag and traveling […] by bus/metro this could be a hastle. 2. No A/C in the rooms - there is a heating system though. we stayed at April so we did not need cooling, but in the summer this could be a problem. 3. TV sucks - small 70's kind of monitor - all channels are german dubbed, but who goes to Prauge to watch TV???:-))) In general it's was a good deal for us and we enjoyed it very much!!! Mehr

The entrance to the hotel looks pretty shady, but once inside and up the stairs it is fine. The location is great - 2 minute walk from the Old Town Square. I would stay here if you want a cheap place in a good location and don't expect any luxuries.

This hotel is very centrally located, just a block or so from both Wenceslaus square and Old Town Hall. The staff is nice, the breakfast has plenty of options (boiled eggs, cold-cuts and bread, sweet rolls, yogurt, cereal, etc.). They even set out ham and cheese sandwiches between 4 and 5PM for an afternoon snack (weird, home-made sandwiches, but still […] a nice effort). It's not fancy, but this hotel is a great bargain. location is everything!! hotel is okay, and the entrance is not a bother at all. super simple and convenient. bed was comfortable and great breakfast, too. i would stay there again in the future.

The hotel is situated in the absolute center of Prague BUT is of very weak standard. The hotel have ho AC (and we visited in the warm summer - normal summer weather. No elevator. The enter looked a little like a youth hostel. Ok room but a perfect view from other rooms into our room. Breakfast ok. When we ordered a taxi for going to the airport it was […] offered at a HIGHER price than we managed to fix ourselves when going from the airport to the hotel. Taking advantage of turists... Bad! Chose another hotel if you can. If you want a basic hotel in the absolute city center in autumn and winter this 1-2 star hotel can be suitable. Mehr

If you want to be within walking distance to all of pragues famous attractions this is a great hotel to stay at to keep you close to everything. It co-located with a closed? music club and you need to be buzzed into access the hotel. The entrance is dark and fairly intimidating. A few lights would do wonders. The staff was great. We stayed on the 3rd floor, your not able to connect to the wifi from that far away but if you connect in the lobby and walk up once connected your able to maintain a slow but workable connection. Great location, in Old Prague, but only two blocks to the New Prague. 2 min walk to the Astronomical Clock and old town square. Really one of the best locations you can find!

Fantastic Location!! Near Everything. Rooms were nice but lacked A/C which is needed for July/August. Dark, unlit entrance which seemed unsafe at night. A lot of stairs (no elevator) up to hotel office (not mentioned) which was a strain on my mother. This a very good place for young travelers without children or elderly parents.

Mycket bra läge nära gamla torget och astronomiska uret mm. Bra frukost med fil, bröd, ägg, jouice kaffe mm. Kanske lite trångt i frukostmatsalen. trevlig stämning på hotellet. Rummen helt OK.

Generelt tilfredsstillende med de nødvendige faciliteter, fraset savnet af en elevator. Forbavsende roligt skønt placering i i livlig bydel. Venlig service og blot et suk over plettet dug, ellers var alt i orden.

Hotellet är perfekt placerat med gamla stans centrum runt hörnet och tunnelbanestation nästan mitt emot entren. Helt ok standard för sitt pris. Hote

El mayor problema era subir un piso por escalera hasta la recepción y luego otro piso hasta la habitación. El desayuno es bueno y completo. La atención era buena, pero parte del personal era muy atento a la hora de informar o recomendar y otros carecían de conocimientos. Muy bueno el muchacho de la noche que nos asesoró para ir a Plzen. Vi syntes at det var et godt hotel med god service selv morgenmaden var god og det ses ikke så tit i Prag. Det er et hotel jeg vil vælge næste gang jeg skal der ned og kan varmt anbefales da det ligger godt i forhold til serværdihederne. Det bedste hotel vi har boet på de 6 gange vi har været i Prag.

Fandt hotellet gennem hotels.com og valgte det ud fra beliggenheden, som lever fuldt op til det forventede. Man kan gå til det astronomiske ur på 2 min og Karlsbroen ligger 15-20 min på gå-ben (eller 3 metro stationer) væk. Personalet er venligt og værelset er hvad du kan forvente til prisen. Morgenmadsbuffet er ok.. Kan helt klart anbefales hvis du […] gerne vil bo billigt og centralt i Prag. Mehr

Hôtel très bien situé (à 2 min à pied de la place de la Vieille Ville). Très agréable car au calme, chambre spacieuse, petit-déjeuner correct (même si pas trop varié). Petits détails: pas de TV par satellite et notre chambre était assez loin de l'accueil donc pas de Wifi dans la chambre. Mais cela n'enlève rien au charme de l'hôtel, parfait pour ceux […] qui sont là pour visiter la ville et non rester à l'hôtel. Les gens étaient très agréables, on se sent bien reçus! Superbra läge, nära till allt. Bra frukost, rena och fräscha rum Enast trappor och det är flera våningar.

상당히 만족했습니다. 시내에 있는 유럽호텔에서 넓은 방을 예상하시는 게 아니라면 대체로 만족.. 그러나 호텔입구에 놀라지마시라.. 호텔입구에 유럽아파트현관처럼 초인종만 있어서 호텔에 해당하는 벨을 누르면 프런트에서 현관을 열어줍니다. 이때 문을 열고들어가면 -절대 엘리베이터로 가지말것- 대체로 어두운 계단을 1층을 올라가서 왼쪽으로 가면 그제야 호텔이 나타납니다. 이 입구와 입구에 있는 설명부족.. 부족한 조명에 상당히 놀랐습니다. 내부와 아침식사는 만족..

God service. God frokost. Rent og pent....luktet godt og nyvasket da vi åpnet døra til hotellrommet. Store og fine rom, med mulighet for å åpne vinduer for å lufte. Stille og rolig. Veldig sentral beliggenhet. Det som er negativt: det var ikke var hårføner på rommet. Resepsjonen lå i 2.etg Kunne vert mykere senger. Godt melemklasse hotel med venlig og tjenstvillig betjening. Hotellets beliggenhed er super lige midt i "smørhullet" af Prag og i gåafstand til alle de vigtige seværdigheder!

Et helt topp hotell med fine og rene rom, god frokost, midt i sentum av Praha. Eneste minus er resepsjon i 2 etage.

Läget mycket bra och personalen i receptionen trevlig. Trots det centrala läget var det mycket tyst. Frukostmatsalen liten och trång. Sängarna stenhårda, eftersom bäddmadrass saknades. Man fick ont i hela kroppen

Très bien placé, près de l'horloge astronomique, l'hôtel convient autant aux bons marcheurs (nous n'avons jamais eu à prendre le tram pendant une semaine) qu'aux moins endurants (deux lignes de métro se croisent dans le quartier). Les chambres sont très sobres mais offrent l'essentiel, sans aucun luxe. Ne prévoyez pas d'y passer une journée entière […] : cet hôtel est pour ceux qui sortent la journée, et rentrent à leur chambre pratiquement que pour y dormir. Les quelques petits moins : - l'absence de climatisation; les jours de canicule, notre chambre n'arrivait pas à conserver de fraîcheur, même en tirant les rideaux le matin pour la garder à l'ombre. - absence de réfrigérateur (on l'a cherché quand on a réalisé qu'il n'y avait pas de climatisation). Il y a quelques boissons payantes à disposition, mais pour les glaçons, une note indique qu'il faut les chercher à la réception. - l'entrée est partagée avec un restaurant (au sous-sol) et un immeuble (pour passer la porte d'entrée, cherchez la sonnette qui porte le nom de l'hôtel). On s'égare une minute avant de trouver enfin l'escalier et le couloir qui mènent à l'entrée de l'hôtel (ne prenez pas l'ascenseur, vous devrez monter vos bagages par l'escalier). Au final, le rapport qualité-prix reste très intéressant. Mehr
