Hotel Medium Monegal - Barcelona

Das Hotel liegt sehr zentral, deshalb muss man auch nachts den SAchlaf störenden Verkehrslärm hinnehmen. Ist sicher nicht geeignet für lärmempfindliche Gäste. Zimmer sind spartanisch und klein, das Bad für eine Person eigentlich schon zu eng.

Perfekte Lage, sauberes Zimmer und Bad. Hatten Zimmer mit Blick auf den Platz. Sehr schön. Würde ich wieder buchen.

I think that the Medium Monegal is a true bargain and well located at the cross-roads of central Barcelona. Our room was exceptionally clean and quiet. We asked for a quiet room in the rear and got it. I'm sure, though, that the rooms facing the square must let in noise. Considering that the hotel is only 2 star rated, it did not provide all the amenities […] expected in a higher rated hotel. For instance, we asked for ice but the hoterl couldn't provide it. We will definitely stay there again if we return to Barcelona. Mehr

This place is in a good location, and the price was not bad. The room had a bed, a chair and a TV. No place to put things. The hallway smelled like a sewer the entire time I was there.

The staff of Medium Monegal was very helpful and friendly. The room was just right for what I needed. The location couldn't have been better: good public transport and lots of nearby restaurants.

I had taken this hotel based on the reviews and especially for the location. Location seems to be the only good part about the hotel. The room was small and with absolutely no desk to keep my stuff on. The side tables were tiny and each time I had to haul my large suitcase on the bed to get stuff. Single room here is pathetic. I hope the double rooms […] are better. After staying in Barcelona for 5 days, I think I could have chosen another hotel, maybe not bang on the main square and still have a good time. The transport connectivity is good in the city. I was not happy with my room or the facilities in the hotel. 2 thumbs down! Mehr

Across from Plaza Catalunya, metro stop out front, La Rambla to your right, bus stop to airport across street. Great location for exploring Barcelona. Room was standard, clean, and very quiet at night which I appreciated (4th floor, back of hotel, no view). Affordable breakfast buffet. Basic accommodations with a fantastic location!

Perfect location at Plaza Catalunya and La Rambla. Everything you can expect from a two start hotel. Clean.

Clean enough, room big enough. Very high ceilings so getting to room by stairs takes some time, and elevator is very slow. If you need absolute quiet to sleep this aint hotel for you - windows looks directly at La Rambla/Placa Catalunya - its loudy even at midnight.

Very convenient to the airbus bus-stop at Pl Catalunya (walk across the plaza diagonally to the hotel, entrance next to Macdonald). Small room with windows can´t be opened but very big & clean bathroom.

Room 420 was freezing and asked at reception about how to turn the heating on and was told " You have blankets don't you? " Wear thermals if you book it.

This is a good place to stay for sightseeing in the Ramblas area, and the cost reflects this. For a 2 star the hotel is of a good standard and it is a bonus that breakfast is included. It is of a similar standard to the 3 star Holiday Inn Express in Barcelona, except that being in an old building some of the rooms are odd shapes. The reception area […] would have been a little difficult to find had I not read other reviews, but the hotel name is well displayed on the upper floors. Mehr

Very affordable and clean, great location centrally located to all the sites in BCN, Metro station entrance located just outside front door, only complaint other guest a little noisy at times in the halls and slow, 3 person elevator. Would stay there on next trip.

The hotel has an amazing location in Plaza Catalunya, which is close to all. The rooms are small and clean but nothing special. Just somewhere to sleep. The staff was very friendly and helpful. If you're looking for a great location with no frills, this is your spot.

This hotel is definitely a great place to stay. Right next to the Ramblas and Plaza of Catalunya and definitely a good location to stay. Close to the metro. The room is clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful. I definitely will stay at this hotel again. Great hotel and enjoyed my stay :)

Perfect geographic location from a tourist point of view. Our room had big windows overlooking placa catalunya, which made the room quite noisy by night, but also gave us a very nice, colourful and busy view when we were not sleeping. The building and our room were quite run down, but things were kept clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. Very central to everything, eating, shopping sightseeing, transportation, access to hop-on hop-off tourist buses. Reasonable and provides continental breakfast.

The ideal center of the city location of this hotel and it so close to the train/but/Airport Bus (Aerobus airport Express) is really all it has going for it! Clean rooms and decent food too. VERY hard to find.. Better to look for the McDonalds next door to the hitel. No parking at all,,, even to unload your cases. Lobby?? desk is inside a WATCH SHOP!!! […] Lot of noise from the busy streets and people on the Ramblas all night!! Very expensive for what you get! Mehr

Wonderful location and very helpful styaff at the reception. Room is sparse but for the price..its very good value for money .And walkable from the Aerobus stop. the Ramlas starts from here and the metro is at the doorstep!! My stay couldnt have been more convenient. Smelt of floor cleaner though....

This hotel is in an excellent location on the Playa Catalunya at the heart of the transport links to get to all the sights and within walking distance of the old town and Port at the top of La Rambla

Unbelievable rate, unbelievable location. Not a 5 star hotel of course, but it blows two star expectations out of the water. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants an economical choice in Barcelona. Walk out the door of the hotel and you are in Placa Vatalunya and the top of La Rambla.

I don't understand why the hotel got such good reviews on the websites. I wish I had stayed somewhere else. I'd rate this hotel at a step above a hostel. First of all, make sure you get an interior room if you stay here. I had to have my room changed because it was impossible to sleep in an exterior room because of the noise from the plaza. There is […] no sound proofing in the hotel, so even in an interior room, you will still hear everything from the halls. The first room had dirty sheets on one of the beds. The A/C in the rooms has two settings: hot or very cold. The elevator broke while I was there and it was a four flight walk up to my room after a long day of sight seeing. The bed was uncomfortable. On a good note, the hotel is very central and the continental breakfast was reasonably priced and good. The wifi was free and the staff was very knowledgeable about the area and was friendly. Be sure to read all the fine print when booking on hotels.com. I missed the fact that my hotel stay was pre-paid so I couldn't switch to a different hotel. Mehr

Lobby is in an active watch shop. Very strange experience upon entering this narrow watch shop/hotel. Location is the best in barcelona for night life, tourism bus drops, and transportation in the heart of the city. Room was old, uncomfortable, and latch on door was not very safe. Air conditioning did not work well and bathroom was terrible with shower […] curtain affixed to ceiling by a literal thread without any sort of further boundary from the bathroom so the force from the hand held shower kept pulling the curtain inward and it was plastered again your body while you were showering--awkward. Hotelli oli hyvällä paikalla keskustassa, aivan La Rabmblan päässä, aukiolta lähtevät myös lentokenttäbussit. Ikkunamme oli kadulle ja äänieristys heikko (yksinkertaiset lasit), korvatulpat olivat paikallaan yöllä. Huone ja kylpyhuone olivat erittäin siistit.

Dette var perfekt beliggenhet - både La Rambla og Placa de Catalunya - og ikke minst flybuss!

Det kan ikke bli mer sentralt,siden det ligger midt på Placa Catalunya. Vurder hva dere ønsker..Hotellet er gammelt og man hører veldig godt støy utenfor, siden vinduer/dører til "balkong" ikke er tette. Frokosten er ikke vedt å betale for. Men når det er sagt, var vi heldig med å få et hjørnerom og trivdes godt siden vi ønsket det meget sentralt. Hvis […] ikke det er første pri, og man f.eks ønsker strand, velg noe annet.. Mehr

Buen hotel para donde esta situado, claro que uno ve otra cosa por internet que lo que realemnte es. Tranquilo, bien situado (exactamente en el centro de Barcelona Turisitica), pero la limpieza de las habitaciones posterior a la llegada es muy pobre y no tiene ningun tipo de comodidad, como una sala de estar, etc. lavabos agradables. The location , at the beginning of la Rambla, is in fact the only advantage of the hotel. Rooms are old and noisy. ok only for a short stay if you plan to enjoy the city rather than have rest.

Hotel Medium Monegal. Отдыхала в отеле в марте. Все понравилось: персонал внимательный, расположен отель очень удобно. Рекомендую всем.

Sijainti loistava. Hyvät yhteydet lentokentältä. Ystävällinen ja avulias henkilökunta.

Chambre petite, simple et assez monacale : un lit, une table de nuit et une chaise. Sans plus.

Jeg vil varmt anbefale dette hotel. Det er de 3stjerner værd. Det eneste er at området man bor i er fyldt med prosituerede og sexshops, ligesom istedgade gange med 10 :D Men ellers godt ophold :)

Good location in Barcelona. If you just find a place to stay, it's good to stay.

Κεντρικο ξενοδοχειο, κοντα σε πολλα ενδιαφεροντα της Βαρκελωνης. Μονοκλινα δωματια πολυ μικρα για πολυημερη διαμονη.

Bas prix dans un emplacement idéal ne justifie en rien de ne pas nettoyer la chambre correctement. Le gros inconvénient supplémentaire est le simple vitrage à coté de la place et de la rue la plus fréquentée de la ville, incroyable !!! Sinon à 20 mètres du métro et à l'embouchure de La Rambla et à coté des départ des bus touristiques, le rêve !

Ligger veldig bra til. Rett ved Metro, La Rambla, matsteder og liv. Minus med å ligge så sentralt er at en får med seg mye lyd fra utsiden. Eldre rom med helt grei standard når en ikke skal ligge på rommet hele dagen. Rent og rene håndklær hver dag. Spør om å få utsikt utover gaten - ellers kan det bli litt trist å se ut vinduet :)
