Das Hotel hat die 4 Sterne voll verdient! Wir würden das Hotel jederzeit wieder buchen. Das Frühstück ist vergleichbar mit jedem 4 Sterne Hotel in Deutschland. Die Zimmer sind sehr modern und entsprechen auch absolut dem Standard eines 4 Sterne Hotels in Deutschland.

Für unseren einwöchigen Venedigbesuch suchten wir einen idealen Ausgangspunkt und haben ihn im Hotel Ai Pini gefunden. Auf dem kleinen parkähnlichen Grundstück (etwas kleiner, als die Fotos vermuten lassen) konnten wir unser Fahrzeug die ganze Woche sicher abstellen. Ca. 15 m vor der Hotelzufahrt befindet sich eine Bushaltestelle und mit der Linie 7 kann man ohne Umsteigen direkt zum Busbahnhof in Venedig fahren, wo sich auch die Vaporettostationen befinden. Die Busfahrt dauert ca. eine halbe Stunde - der Bus ist je nach Tageszeit relativ voll. Vom Busbahnhof in Venedig kann man in ein Vaporetto umsteigen oder nach Überquerung der nächsten Brücke direkt die Gassen von Venedig erkunden. Im Hotel konnten wir auch die Kombikarten Hellovenezia für Bus und Vaporetto erstehen. Diese kostete für sieben Tage fünfzig Euro pro Person und hatte sich bereits nach dem zweiten Tag gerechnet. Das Personal im Ai Pini ist absolut freundlich und sehr hilfbereit - angefangen beim Empfang bis zum sehr guten Restaurant (empfehlenswert). Es ist jedoch ratsam, die etwas größeren Zimmer möglichst mit Blick auf den Park zu wählen - darin kann man sich aber sehr wohl fühlen (auch wenn es keine Zimmer mit Balkon gibt). Alles in allem als Ausgangspunkt für Venedigbesuche sehr geeignet.
Lage
Hotel Helvetia liegt in erreichbarer Nähe zum Flughafen in Venedig (Lido di Venezia) sowie in der Nähe der folgenden Sehenswürdigkeiten: Vaporetto Santa Maria Elisabetta, Venice Convention und Lido-Strand. Nicht weit entfernt befinden sich: San Nicolò al Lido und Wasserbus San Zaccaria.

Venedigs Strandvorort Lido ist zehn Minuten mit dem Wasserbus von San Marco entfernt. Im späten 19. Jahrhundert war dies der eleganteste Badeort Italiens. Heute ist der 18 km lange Sandstreifen weniger schick. Für einen Großteil des verbliebenen Glamours sorgen die bekannten Hotels mit ihren Privatstränden und die glanzvollen Internationalen Filmfestspiele, die jedes Jahr im August/September stattfinden. Im Sommer werden die Strände von Urlaubern aus Italien und der ganzen Welt bevölkert.

Preisgünstiges Hotel nahe der Vaporetto-Station, Zimmer klein, aber funktionell. Teppich war nicht gesaugt, sonst alles ordentlich. Frühstück nicht sehr üppig, Ei und Joghurt nur gegen Aufpreis.

eigentlich ganz gut, aber im Bad des Zimmer 17 muß man sehr klein und schlank sein, wenn man die Toilette ohne blaue Flecken benutzen will. Großes Manko ist die extra Berechnung beim Frühstück für den Verzehr von Eiern oder Joghurt mit je 2 €

Sehr nah am Anleger, von dem man in ca. 15 Minuten mit dem Vaporetto am Markusplatz ist. Sehr gemütlich eingerichtet, preiswert, sehr empfehlenswert.

Das Hotel liegt 3 Minuten von der Schiffshaltestelle. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist sehr gut. Die Einrichtung ist altmodisch aber das Hotel ist sehr sauber. Vorsicht mit den Zimmern auf die Straße, sie sind nicht isoliert und somit sehr laut.

Nur 100 m von der Vaporetto-Anlegestelle entfernt liegt das Hotel Helvetia. In 20 Minuten ist man mit dem Schiff am Markusplatz, in 35 min mit der Linie 52 am Pzle Roma. Schräg gegenüber vom Hotel ein Billa-Supermarkt und eine Auswahl von Restaurants, in einer kleinen Seitenstraße die Post. Die Standardzimmer sind etwas eng, besonders auch die Toilette. "Eher teuer, super gelegen."
Das Hotel liegt unmittelbar bei der Anlegestelle der der Schiffe nach Venedig und der Shoppingmaile. Die Zimmer sind klein, sehr ringhörig und richen teilweise nach Rauch. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist sehr reichhaltig und kann bei schönem Wetter in einem gemütlichen Innenhof eingenommen werden. Der Preis kam uns eher hoch vor. Das Hotel strahlt eine angenehme Atmosphäre aus, eine Mischung aus gloreicher Vergangenheit und gepflehter Gegenwart. Schön im lauschigen Garten zu frühstücken. Das Frühstücksangebot ist reichhaltig. "Einfach und nicht Sauber"
Dieses Hotel lebt vom Namen Venedig. Es liegt ausserhalb des Stadtzentrums und weit weg vom Hafen. Die Taxifahrt vom Hafenparkplatz zum Hotel per Boot (anders geht es nicht) schlug mit 120 Euro massiv zu. Es gibt auch ein öffentliches Bootsystem was man aber erst im Nachhinein feststellt da es direkt im Hafen keine Haltestellen gibt. Eine Nacht reichte […] uns völlig aus in diesem Haus. Die Zimmer sind sehr sehr !! klein. Gerade genug Platz um ein Bett und einen Schrank rein zu stellen. Die Sauberkeit war dürftig. Das Frühstück war gut und die Auswahl der Speisen war genügend. "Liegt halt auf dem Lido ..."
Ein durchaus angenehmes Hotel, etwas dürftiges Morgenessen, aber sonst ok. Günstige Lage gleich bei der Vaporetti-Station, aber eben auf dem Lido. Ich würde heute ein Hotel in Venedig vorziehen.

"hotel Helvetia hat alles was man braucht"
Wir waren sehr zufrieden mit dem Hotel. Der Preis ist erschwinglich, die Lage ist leicht zu erreichen mit dem Boot von der Zugstation. Zum Essen hat es genügend Restaurants in der Nähe. Das Zimmer war etwas klein, aber dafür sauber. Würde das Hotel jederzeit weiter empfehlen.

I was very pleased with the hotel - it's affordable, yet only a few (15?) min away by public transport (boat) from San Marco square. I arrived soaked through by the rain, and although the official check-in time is 1pm, the receptionist let me and my daughter in straightaway, more than an hour early. The hotel is 50m from the boat stop, in a neat and […] pleasant neighbourhood with a nice mixture of hotels, shops and residential housing. The room was small, but comfortable, and we were pleased to make use of the postcards on the desk. There is no refrigerator in the room (not an issue in my book), and the loo is quite close to the wall - anyone with a particularly large girth would struggle, but the vast majority of guests would be OK. "Convenient and quiet location"
Hotel Helvetia is very conveniently placed for the water bus into Venice. A bus ticket is a must, we paid E33 for 3 days and used it lots. The first Venice stop is 15mins away. The hotel is only yards from the water bus stop and near restaurants and shops. It is very quiet on the Lido with very llittle traffic. The hotel is clean and comfortable but […] our room was more like half a room. It had the feel that it had been cut in half. We booked 'deposit not refundable' and we didn't have a safe and had the smallest of shower rooms. The double bed was comfy but pushed up against the wall which made it difficult getting in and out. The breakfast was plentiful but only continental. If you want eggs or yogurt you have to pay a surcharge! Because of the convenience and cleanliness I would stay there again but certainly book a better room. Mehr

"Hotel Helvetia- as good as advertised"
Quality hotel right off of the main street. Two minute walk to waterbus and St. Mark's Square. Lido is a beautiful island. Room was larger than expected and the bathroom was adequate. Beds were a bit hard and a queen is really two full beds put together. Overall experience is 3.5 out of 5. We would stay again.

OK, first the bad thing. The room was extremely tiny. But then I heard that it was the norm when staying in Venice. One guest that we spoke to said there were other hotels that charged more (up to double the rate) and the rooms were even smaller. The hotel was nice, clean and the bed was comfortable. And lets face it, you only go to the hotel to sleep. […] Staff were super and very friendly. The hotel was very nice and pleasant. Very, very conveniently located, about a minutes walk to the water bus. I'm glad we chose the Lido instead of Venice itself. The area was picturesque with lots of shops and restaurants. The entire experience was very pleasant. The water bus was no big deal and we enjoyed the boating aspect of it. The big beach was only 5 to 10 minutes walking distance. Breakfast was included and was in a very pleasant courtyard, which made the morning coffee a pleasant affair. I would definately stay here again and would recommend this hotel to anyone going to Venice. Mehr

A very conveniently located hotel on the Lido - only 2 mins walk from the Vaparetto stops, which take you straight onto the Grand Canal (15-20mins). Note however that it does take 45 mins approx to get to the train station from here. Hotel is located on the main shopping street on the Lido, so ideal for shopping, restaurants etc. It is a relatively […] quiet location despite its proximity. The whole area and hotel had a really nice calm holiday feel. Hotel was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast is adequate. The hotel staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The reception staff provided maps of the Venice area and even wrote a step by step travel itinery so that we wouldn't miss our early morning train. I would definately stay here again. Mehr
"Small Rooms and Terrible Services"
Where do I start with this hotel we took a 2 week vacation to Italy and France and stayed in a total of 6 hotels this one by far stands out as the worst hotel of the 6. The room was so small that your have to be careful walking around in the room just because of the limited space otherwise you will bump into something with your knees. The included continental […] breakfast did not include eggs or yogurt and there is a lady standing with a clip board that tells you that as you are standing at the buffet picking up food. There was a 15 year old girl that picked up a hard boiled egg and the rude lady with the clip board said you know that is not included she that will cost you extra "What is your room number?"Just like that. we just saw that as we walked in and just said no thank you and had breakfast elsewhere. The location is not bad, when you get to the island of Lido however I have stayed closer to the main land before and it was much easier to get to the main areas of attraction. definitely would NOT recommend this hotel especially for someone visiting venice for the first time it would ruin your whole experience. "Good location, clean hotel but cramped room..."
The hotel is very well situated only 2 mins walk from the vaparetto terminus and on the main avenue from the terminus to the beach. Staff were friendly and helpful and the general facilities were of a reasonable standard. We didn't have breakfast in the hotel as the breakfast room and garden area (with plastic seating) wasn't overly inviting and there […] are a number of nice cafes nearby where you can sit and enjoy the world go by. Our double room was clean and had all the essentials but was EXTREMELY cramped - only one person could get dressed at a time and the bed was against a wall so getting in and out was problematic... The ensuite bathroom had a good shower but you has to sidle up to the toilet and sit sideways since there was only about 10" from the toilet to the wall! The overriding memory of staying at the Helvitica was that it was manageable for a couple of days and was very convenient location-wise but due to the room size I couldn't really recommend it for a longer stay. Finally, if you're looking for somewhere to eat the restaurant on the waterfront to the right of the vaparetto terminal as you come off the boat - I think its called the Laguna is worth a trip and much better than the selection along the main avenue. It also has a spectacular view of Venice especially at sunset - go there early for a drink and enjoy the sun going down on Venice. Mehr

The Hotel Helvetia in conveniently located, close to the water bus stop, but get a room away from the street. The adjacent all-night, open-air bars can make sleep difficult. The rooms are fine and the staff are attentive, but the extra charge for the eggs and the yogurt on the breakfast buffet is a bit tacky.

"Helvetia Hotel on Lido Island"
Hotel was conveniently located from the water-bus stop on Lido. Just a couple of minutes walk. Breakfast was adequate. Really nice garden. Staff was friendly and courteous. I was a bit taken aback when they asked for our passports, but found out later that that was standard practice in Italy. Room was nice and spacious. The hotel location is great if you want to be Lido Island. Lido is quite pleasant itself, but the canals of Venice are a transit boat away. Those boats are a bit pricier and longer than we anticipated. Still not a deal breaker. The hotel itself is pleasant and our rooms were simple but adequate for the price. "Hotel Helvetia on the Lido in Venice - charm"
If you want to get away from the touristy feel of Venice and into a more real neighborhood, I would recommend Hotel Helvestia. Within a few minutes' walk from the vaporetto station, and on the main drag of the Lido, it is nonetheless quiet and charming, with the added attraction of a courtyard garden where you can eat your breakfast or read in peace. […] The lobby and parlor are also charming spaces with funky midcentury modern armchairs. You can walk to the Lido beach, eat in the numerous restaurants near the hotel, or stroll in the neighborhood. My one quibble is that, for a fairly expensive room, they really should not have charged extra for eggs or yogurt for the breakfast! We were able to obtain a family room with 4 beds to save money but it was still on the expensive side. However, the charm and ambience really made us feel that we got our money's worth. Mehr

"Not a friendly front desk"
First night did not go to sleep ,,the window opend to the street, Next night got another room but we had to spend 1/2 day asking for it. Front desk also the MGR. are NOT nice and it is hard for them to smile.
"Holiday Stay with our family"
We enjoyed our stay very, very much. We were travelling with our daughter and a 2 year old and a 4 3/4 year old grandchildren. The accommodations were most comfortable and the staff friendly and helpful. We would definitely like to return sometime. we stayed in a family room for 4 people and it is an excellent hotel. Hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. Good continental breakfast.. Ideally located within walking distance to Lido water bus terminal . St marco square is only 10 minutes and Venice train station is 40 minutes by waterbus. Overall very satisfied
We had a delightful stay at Hotel Helvetia. The staff was courteous and helpful, the breakfast was the best we had during our entire stay in Italy, and the location was perfect. I will definitely recommend it to others.

We stayed in the hotel with our 3 years old daughters. The room and the breakfast were really nice. Staffs were quite friendly. Highly recommended.
"Perfect Location"
The hotel is right off the water bus stop on Lido. Easy to find and get to with luggage. The staff was very friendly and went above and beyond to help us as we had lost luggage and they spent the entire day tracking it down for us! Lido is a nice alternative to Venice it is quiet and clean. You can easy get to Venice on the water bus. This hotel is […] the best bet for the price. Comfortable and you get a great breakfast! "Hotel Helvetia-Out of the way, but charming"
Other than this hotel being the farthest out on the waterbus line, it was terrific. On the way back to to the train station at the end of our stay, we took a route with fewer stops and saved about 20 minutes off our travel time. The hotel is very close to the water bus terminals, and there is a nice cafe across the street. The service was outstanding […] with one exception; at breakfast we were told that if we had eggs or yogurt we'd have to pay, and one particular employee kept watching us as though he thought we'd "steal" what was supposed to be a complimentary breakfast. Other than this one incident, our stay was terrific. I just wish we'd planned to stay longer, as I could have spent hours just wandering around the island, and there aren't really any sights there...although they are only a water taxi away. Mehr
"Hotel Helvetia, Lido, Italy"
Location is excellent. Hotel should be rated as two star, not three star. The rooms that our couple friends and we had were two small to qualify as a three star. Literature indicated that the hotel was air conditioned. It may have had air conditioning but it was not turned on. The staff told us that the government would not let them turn it on until […] June 1. The truth is that other hotels nearby had air conditioning that was operating. We sufferred greatly by not having air conditioning turned on. The charge for a continental breakfast was excessive. Mehr
"Hotel Helvisa great location"
Fab hotel location is great, all the pleasures of venice across the water and turn right out of hotel five minutes walk and you are on a great beech.Plenty of nice caffe's and bar's on the lido.

I had a good stay at this hotel. It was just a two-minute walk from the ferries off of the Lido, and the rooms were not bad for the price. The wireless internet was very conveniently priced and reliable so I could email home from my room or the courtyard. The continental breakfast was pretty good and I enjoyed the service.
