Loved the accommodations - clean, comfortable and spacious. The smoke detector in my suite started beeping at 11 pm so I called the front desk - a maintenance person was in my room in 5 minutes! Rate my stay "extremely satisfied"!

Very Clean and conveniently located to Jiminy peak. Only drawback was limited changing area in the pool locker rooms and the fact that you need to remove the trash and recyclables from your room, and clean dishes/pots prior to check out. They are also somewhat aggressive about trying to sell you a timeshare. We received 4 calls in 2 days.

We enjoyed our (very brief) stay immensely. Vacation Village in the Berkshires is an all-suite timeshare community. There is one central club house and then several 2 story buildings that house 1 and 2 bedroom units. The 1 bedroom units are comfortable for 4 adults (2 on a couch and 2 in the bedroom) or a small family. One thing to note is that the […] 1 bedroom units do not have an oven. If you want to cook while you're there, you'll have to use the range top or microwave. During our stay we made use of the indoor pool (very crowded on President's day weekend) and the outdoor hot tub (perfect after a day of skiing!) You can't beat the location if you're a skier. It's right across the street from Jiminy Peak. The rooms and all facilities were very neat and clean. We will definitely go back. Mehr

The hotel stay was fine..the only issue was that the heat was a little irregular in various rooms - also a bit expensive

I paid for 2 rooms next to each other and got rooms in differant Buildings

Very clean and roomy. Enjoyed the stay. Pool and other amenities were a plus. Would go back. Only thing that could be better is the TV's were small, not a big deal.

We had a great time, very nice place to stay. Unfortunately we didn't get a room with a view, the ice cube maker was broken, and the patio door stuck. But the suite was spacious, comfortable and clean, if a little noisy-you can hear the guests above moving around. Nice pool, lobby and services-lots of tourist info, dvds, helpful staff. We understood […] from our reservation that all rooms had jetted tubs - but the B-suites don't, nor do they have dishwashers (not a problem for us) or ovens.. Mehr

we enjoyed our stay and would definitely look to book a room for the winter or/and fall.

We discovered upon registering that there was a fine of $125 for checking out after 10 a.m. That was OK because we checked out 8:00 a.m. Upon check in, the Hotel wanted to run a impression from my credit card which I agreed to. However, I asked if I could collect that impression back at checkout. They said "yes" but when we checked-out, they would provide […] a photocopy only of the credit card impression. We felt that they lied to us at registration. On the quality side, the linens were clean but threadbare. They needed to be replaced. Mehr

All in all, we enjoyed our stay at this vacation village resort in the Berkshires. The kitchen in the "B" unit has limited counter space to prepare meals. Cabinet space for condiments, cereal, fresh vegetables etc. was also limited. A colander would have been useful. Maybe we'll try an "A" unit next time.

I read some negative comments about this place but took the chance anyway and I'm glad I did. I requested a unit on the 2nd floor and that's what we go. We were pleased with our room. It was clean, quiet and very comfortable. The lady at the front desk was friendly and helpful and provided us with info on where to go for dinner, etc. Overall, we were […] very satisfied with our visit here. There were 2 items that were unsatisfactory. First, the parking facilities were very limited and posed potential danger. Second, the air conditioner was non-functional and we were inconvenienced whilr it was being repaired, indicating poor oversite on maintenance.

The hotel is situated in a beautiful location. The view was spectacular and the rooms were comfortable and clean. The front staff was a bit indifferent for my taste.

Technically this is a time share condo and not a hotel. That results in the simple hotel "luxuries" not being available. No shampoo, conditioner, lotion. There was a stale bag of coffee but no sugar or creamer. Oh yes and you have to hand wash your dishes and strip the beds before you leave or your credit card gets charged for extra cleaning. No place […] for miles to get a snack or a drink except a poorly stocked over priced vending machine in the game room. The living room furniture looks beautiful but you can't comfortably sit on it if you are taller than 5 foot. But the worst part of the stay was the people upstairs who ran and jumped around from 9:00 pm to 1:30 a.m. and started again at 7:00 a.m. The light fixtures rattled and the hangers in the closet moved it was so bad. I called the front desk to ask for assistance in quieting things down. Shortly after that call it got worse. I realized that there is no security on the premises and the front desk staff (even though they brag they are available 24 hours a day) would not help me if I was being attacked by an irate upstairs guest. So I tried to read my book and ignore the noise until it the sun came up and I could safely leave. Never Again!!!!!!!! Mehr

This place is rated a 3 star resort. I would give it a 2 star rating at best. Rooms are very dated and in need of a face lift. Wallpaper pealing, Cracked floor tiles, loose toilet seat and shower doors that were falling off.The walls are paper thin and you can hear everything from adjoining rooms and hallways. The indoor pool and hot tub were very dated […] and could use a good cleaning.The "resort" is not near any real sights as you need to drive a distance to eat or see any attractions. this is a great place to stay with the family. Lots to do anytime of year!

Inflexible hotel management causes the staff to be less than helpful. Maintenance staff, however, was excellent and timely. Don't take any rooms except the top floor, because noise from above goes right through the ceiling.

Thought this was more of a hotel type stay but it really is a self catering apartment. Good decent size, with separate kitchen, living, bathroom and bedroom area. Two pools, games rooms, friendly staff, just opposite sky area, couldn't have asked for more. Will be back!

We stayed for 3 nights while attending a family reunion at Jiminy Peak, which is right across the street. We had a 2 suite unit, with our 4 kids ages 8-14 in one of the suites and my wife an I in the adjoining suite, which worked perfectly. The rooms were clean, comfortable, quiet and very well equipped with the full kitchens. There was laundry facilities […] on our floor which was great too. We used the indoor pool which was great too. We did not attend any of the activities since they were mianly on weekdays and since we had our own plans, but the activities at the resort sounded fun. While there is no restaurant on premises, there are nice option right across the street at jiminy peak, including a country store to get any essentials. The fun park at Jiminy Peak was great for the kids but a bit pricey. We would definitely go back! Mehr

We were very pleasantly surprised by this resort. The condo was lovely, spotlessly clean, and the resort was very impressive. We were there for only one night (a wedding in Lenox) but I would definitely go back again.

Very spacious rooms at reasonable prices. Our unit had a bonus dishwasher. Walls are paper thin and (late night/early morning) noise can be heard from all sides including adjacent laundry facilities. Pools are impressive with an amazing view of the mountains. Our room was on the 1st floor with a dismal view of everyone's car bumbers. Will look around […] for something else next visit, but would likely return if it boils down to price. Mehr

This was our second stay at Vacation Village. We were very happy with our rooms both times. We had everything we needed and more. The rooms were very clean and comfortable.

The Vacation Village in the Berkshires is a large complex of condo buildings located not far from the Jiminy Peak ski area. We stayed there in summer while attending a weekend festival at the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art in North Adams, about 20 miles away, so only used the "village" as a hotel. The Village has an outdoor pool, workout room, […] game room, and playgrounds for kids, all of which looked well maintained. In the summer you can drive to nearby towns for theater, music, antiquing, etc. The condo was a bit dated in decor (i.e., the jacuzzi tub was located in the bedroom instead of the bathroom) but was spotlessly clean and quite large. The kitchen was equipped with the essentials. There was a coffee maker with coffee but no sugar or creamer of any kind. So be sure you stop along the way and pick up a few basics because there is no restaurant nor any kind of convenience store on the property. We were on the lower floor with an active family right above us, with footsteps sounding noisily when the kids were running around. Mehr

This is a time-share which makes unused units available to tourists . We hadn't understood this fully upon making our reservation and so were surprised at the lack of maid service, fresh towels, basic toiletries, etc. Guests are expected to strip their own beds, gather up their own towels, put out their own trash, etc.--despite the invitation to tip […] Housekeeping for their "extraordinary service." We had no other choices when staying here for our son's graduation in Williamstown--and would stay here again in a pinch--but it's nothing special. Mehr

Nice place. Great rooms but can't beleive there was no on site shop or food. Would go back but will make sure we take food next time.

This was our second stay at Vacation Village - Berkshires and it will not be our last. It is a great value! With 3 kids, we usually have to get two adjoining hotel rooms which are getting harder and harder to find. Renting the 2 bedroom condo from Vacation Village was actually less than doing that and we got so much more for it. Having the kitchen was […] invaluable and the extra elbow room of the living room and dining area was a definite plus. The staff was also great and very attentive to any and all requests. This is a nice hotel,especially for families. The staff here was friendly and helpful. Although the weather wasn't all that great,this hotel has a nice indoor pool and a game room for the children. What is also nice is that the front desk has a decent selection of movies(dvds) to take to your room for a night. This place has a great view of the mountains […] surrounding the berkshires. Fireplace was not working, toaster did not work, hot water existed at certain times but when was the question, noisy-difficult to sleep

No weekend activities, use of wifi with fee even in the lobby, dvds though free are pretty old movies, no premium channels, old kitchen appliances eg coffee maker and the bag of coffee is expired

The group we were with had an excellent time. However the removing the kids from the pool for adult swim time was a little annoying on the weekend.

3 of us wanted 2 adjoining rooms and took what was offered. Were stunned at the luxury we received at such a good price! The suite for the single person had A small sitting/dining area with TV, Q sized bed with TV, large shower and small kitchen. Our double person room shared a common entrance foyer and had a large living/dining area, large kitchen, […] King sized bed in a large room with a corner Jacuzie. Both suites had gas fire places and balconies. The total for the 3 of us was a pitance. This was a between season price, but the Birkshires were still lovely and we were between the outstanding Clark Museum in WIlliamstown and the Norman Rockwell in Stockbridge. Mehr

Except for the grouchy woman at the check-in desk in the evenings (be prepared), the rest of the staff were very friendly; and, the rooms we had were terrific.

I would have liked to have known that all rooms were not equipped with jacuzzis either via the internet or otherwise. I had stayed at this resort last yr so I was aware of the in-room jacuzzis but due to the holiday wknd and busyness they weren't able to accommodate me with one. I just wish i could have been able to ask for one ahead of time. This vacation […] was for me to relax and I wanted the jacuzzi to enhance the experience. Maybe next time. Thanks. Mehr

My only complaint is that you have to go outside the resort for some good restaurants (like in Jiminy Peak).
