Wir hatten 2 wunderbare Nächte, zu Fuß konnte man einige der besten Restaurants erreichen.

Die Internetnutzung sollte 15 USD täglich kosten. Das halte ich für unverschämt, weil man in Argentinien sonst überall kostenloses WIFI vorfindet.

Wenn man über manche Unzulänglichkeit hinweg sieht, dann ist dieses Hotel durchaus akzeptabel. Das Frühstück (kostenlos !) ist für den deutschen Geschmack sehr einseitig. Jeden Tag den gleichen Schinken und den gleichen Käse (jeweils nur 1 Sorte), süßer Brotaufstrich, dazu süße Stücke und lappriges Toastbrot kann man nicht lange aushalten. Dafür gibt es mehrere Sorten Saft und Obst. Der Kaffee ist sehr gut. Das Frühstücksbuffet (7 - 10 Uhr) ist nach 9 Uhr sehr lückenhaft und wird nur zögerlich aufgefüllt. An einigen abgestossenen Fliesen im Bad und schlecht schließenden Badezimmer- und Balkontüren darf man sich nicht stören. Positiv ist, dass man sich im Zimmer auf dem Gaskocher warme Getränke zubereiten kann. Kaffee- und Teebeutel liegen kostenlos bereit. Die Zimmer sind überraschend geräumig. Zimmer nach hinten sind ohne Balkon, dafür ruhig. Zimmer zur Strassenseite mit Balkon, aber laut. Wir hatten bei 2 Aufenthalten jeweils ein Zimmer im 7. Stock. Obwohl das Hotel in einer Nebenstrasse liegt, herrscht dort reger Verkehr und es ist entsprechend laut. Lage ist super. Nur ein Block vom Obelisk entfernt, viele Sehenswürdigkeiten sind zu Fuß erreichbar. Der Preis ist m. E. akzeptabel. Leute, die großen Komfort erwarten, sollten das Hotel nicht wählen. Für alle anderen halte ich es für empfehlenswert.

Bedeutende Sehenswürdigkeiten umgeben den Plaza Mayo, darunter auch der Präsidentenpalast Casa Rosada, die Kathedrale Metropolitana de Buenos Aires, das Rathaus und schließlich das Finanzviertel. In den Straßen Calle Florida und Avenida Corrientes kommt die Stadt niemals zur Ruhe. Mit ihren zahlreichen Theatern steht die Avenida Corrientes dem Broadway in New York oder dem Strand in London in nichts nach. In den nahe gelegenen ehemaligen Lagerhäusern am Ufer von Puerto Madero sind jetzt Apartments und Büros untergebracht.

"Good location but service could be better"
Stayed at Hotel De Las Americas for a total of 6 days recently. The best aspect of the hotel was its location in the Retiro neighborhood of Buenos Aires - within walking distance of many good restaurants and shopping. Don't expect more than the minimal service from the front desk. It's staffed by a group of grumpy men. Usually I don't ask much of the […] front desk but when traveling in a foreign country, hotel recommendations are super helpful. Pros - good location money exchange provided with good rate will store luggage free wifi clean, decent rooms decent breakfast Cons - needs more outlets in room can be VERY noisy - from street and adjoining rooms mediocre front desk service bathroom toiletries did not include lotion Mehr
"Hotel de las Americas - comfortable, well situated"
The hotel is very centrally situated which allowed us to walk almost anywhere we wanted to be in the central part of the city. The room was comfortable, but the street facing rooms are a little noisy. The breakfasts are superb. The reception staff, apart from one helpful person, are not very friendly or helpful.

This is not a cheap hotel but for Buenos Aires I think this is great value for money. My two friends and I stayed there on our last day in Argentina so we looked for something comfy prior to flying back home. They had put a temporary bed for the third person which is not ideal of course but wasn't too bad. The room was really nice, you could that the […] hotel has been recently refurbished. Room was fairly spacious for Buenos Aires. Flat screen TV, really nice bathroom. Staff was very helpful, gave us tags for the luggage we left there after checkout (they were stored in a safe location). We didn't try the breakfast. Mehr

"Hotel de las Americas, Buenos Aires: So-so"
We stayed in Buenos Aires twice recently, the second time at this hotel. The lobby, bar, and restaurant are sleek, clean, modern. The guest rooms don't live up to that. They are a bit run down, The hallways are dimly lit. The desk staff was cordial but not friendly; nonetheless, they were efficient and did everything we needed to have done.

"Good value for the price"
The first room we were assigned reeked of smoke, so they gave us a room on the 8th floor, which had been (supposedly) redone. That room was fine, so ask for the remodeled 8th floor if you can. The key to our room was constantly being deactivated, which was likely a battery problem. Very annoying, but also a minor issue. The best part of the place was […] the breakfast, which included the tastiest cafe con leche (we like strong coffee) that we had our entire stay in Buenos Aires, including a few trips to Starbucks. Yum. The in-room wifi was iffy, but I could log-on if I used my laptop in the lobby. Great to have a full grocery store around the block and easy to walk anywhere from this hotel. Also, airline crews stay at this hotel, so you know it can't be too too bad if they have an ongoing relationship like that. I'd stay there again. Mehr

We booked this hotel for 4 days (3 nights) and were very impressed with the value we received. The was a good breakfast every morning and quiet rooms. Also the location is two blocks away from a Subte station. The staff promoted tours and shows very hard, but most of them were very overpriced. Estuvo bien, un poco caro para no tener cama de 2 plazas ni estacionamiento. Por cierto no me avisaron que el estacionamiento era pago y de los más caros pagué algo más de 80 pesos por una noche. Bastante lentos en recepción, pero muy atentos.

"Excelente Hotel para un Buenos Aires Urbano"
En general el hotel esta bien mantenido, el personal es muy amable, lo que hace de la estadía en la ciudada de Buenos Aires un tiempo muy agradable. El desayuno es bueno y surtido. La locación para ir de compra es muy buena y en general es central para toda la ciudad.

A localização desse hotel é excelente. Perto das atrações mais interessantes de BAs. Café da manhã razoável, porém com pouca diversificação. O atendimento dos funcionários também é mediano, faltando simpatia a alguns. O ponto mais fraco que achei é o intenso barulho que se escuta dos outros quartos. "An overrated hotel"
This hotel does not deserve four stars. Three minus is the best I can give. We stayed at the hotel in February 2011. We saw four rooms and finally reluctantly accepted the last one. The first room we were given was not cleaned for new guests, and there was something wrong with the other rooms: dirty floor carpet, damaged shower equipment, air conditioning […] not working, etc. In the last room, which we took, we discovered that the flushing mechanism of the WC was damaged, and water continued to flow without stopping. We warned the reception, and a handy man arrived. He opened the cover of the cistern and closed it, and said that it was OK. It was not. "Superbra läge, fräscht och prisvärt"
Mycket bra, prisvärt hotell i bra läge. Gångavstånd till Obelisken, shoppinggator och Recoleta cemetary. Fint område, kändes säkert och "trendigt". Bra frukostbuffé och trevlig personal som hjälpte oss med lite frågor kring turistattraktioner. Sköna sängar och fräscht rum. Vi sov endast två nätter på hotellet men var mycket nöjda.

Tudo muito bom. Funcionários atenciosos e café da manhã excelente.
"Hotel de las Americas - Ótimo para Turismo"
Em avaliação geral, o hotel é muito bom. Está próximo (de 4 a 8 quadras) da Av. Córdoba, da Av. Corrientes, da 9 de Julho e da Florida. Em geral o atendimento segue o padrão argentino, mas existem alguns funcionários atenciosos. O café da manhã é uma vantagem, bastante bom, embora com pouca variação entre os dias (normalmente salada de frutas, uma massinha […] assada ou frita com queijo, ovos mexidos e omeletes, pães e media lunas salgadas e doces e uma variedade de geléias, manteiga e doce de leite). Os quartos foram reformados não tem muito tempo, e atendem bem as necessidades. O hotel possui quartos com piso em madeira, só que esses quartos não possuem cama de casal, então é necessário solicitar na recepção que eles façam a arrumação para casal - vão juntar as camas de solteiro e colocar um 2º colchão de casal por cima. É necessário cuidar na hora de tomar banho e acertar bem a colocação das cortinas - como a construção é antiga, ela traz o chuveiro sobre uma banheira - caso contrário molha todo o banheiro. Tem internet gratuita disponível nos quartos, um frigobar e um cofre. Ao fazer o check-out, NÃO peça ao hotel para chamar um taxi, pois o hotel chama um motorista particular que cobra mais ou menos o dobro do que o taxi comum que você pode pegar logo na entrada do hotel. Estive no Hotel de Las Americas no início de novembro deste ano e fiquei muito satisfeita com as instalações e serviços. O quarto era amplo, confortável e limpo. O café da manhã de boa qualidade. O atendimento também correspondeu às expectativas. O Hotel tem uma localização muito boa, pois dá para ir caminhando até à Rua Florida, além da proximidade […] com outros pontos turísticos, onde chegava rapidamete de táxi. As instalacoes sao otimas. O cafe da manha e o servico de garcons excelente. A gerencia deixou a desejar tanto no check inn, quanto no check out. Precisam de aulas de cortesia. Acho que eles pensam que brasileiro nao merece credito.

"òtimo Hotel. Perto de Tudo e Confortável"
Ótimo Hotel, fui bem recebido, a localização é ótima e é perto de tudo. Não precisei pegar taxi par ir à rua Florida, Obelisco e nem mesmo a Feira de San Telmo. E se tiver um pouco de disposição também poderá ir a pé para o Porto Madero, mas se quiser ir de taxi será muito facil e barato.
