Ramada Bettendorf Davenport - Bettendorf, IA

Our room was clean, but was right next to the utility closet. We were in #214 fyi. There was a near-constant loud humming coming through the wall from the utility room. The heat / a/c worked well. The tv remote didn't work at all. It also didn't work in my mother's room next door in #212. Upon checkin we were not informed about wifi service, the […] hours for continental breakfast, pool hours, or really ANY other information that I find helpful. There was a small slip of paper hidden in our room card sleeve w/the username & password for wifi access. There was a security certificate issue, so I decided to forego using it for security's sake & just used tethering to my blackberry instead. Cell signal was good. The continental breakfast was subpar. Only one toaster so only 2 people can toast things @ once. The waffle maker worked well. 2% & skim milk were kept stocked. Decent yogurt selection, bad fruit selection. There were scrambled eggs on morning 1 - seemed to be the dehydrated variety. Day 2 it was biscuits & gravy which I wasn't about to try. I stuck with cereal & toast both days. The tables weren't cleaned as promptly as they should have been given how few there were & the capacity of the hotel. Hotel is very close to the interstate & stores including being a short drive to northpark mall. There's an Old Chicago practically in the hotel parking lot & it was up to normal OC standards. I didn't use the pool at all, so I can't comment on that. The bed was pretty comfortable, and having the sink outside of the toilet/shower room helped in the morning & evening getting ready. The tv was small and the highest volume level was pretty quiet. I'm 6'3" & could have used the shower head to be placed an extra 4-6" higher for maximum comfort. Mehr

Nice clean hotel. Close to events we had planned for weekend. Would definitely stay here again.

The one thing that was extremely irritating was trying to get in your room. The key cards were next to impossible to use. You either had to swipe real fast or real slow and then it didn't work have the time. The maid had to let us the first time. We took the cards back to the front desk and they just reprogrammed the same cards. Which did nothing. I […] do like the fact that you let animals stay there. But I really think someone needs to pick up the mess outside. I nearly stepped in it more than once. Maybe a designated place for people to let their dogs potty would be an idea. Mehr

Hot tub was real nice, pool was large with a nice area for young kids however it was COLD!! Room was clean and nice.

Quite frankly, as long as, a nice breakfast in the hotel is not one of your goals, this would be 5 stars.

I would say that the rooms here are comparable to the Marriott, except the Ramada gives you a fridge. The indoor pool has a pretty sweet fountain thing that would be sure to excite your kids. The entire pool area was deserted when I looked at it. Too bad my daughter is only 9 months old. The free breakfast is the standard stuff: cereal, bagels, muffins, […] make-your-own waffle. The toaster took FOREVER to toast my bagel. I don't think the heating elements ever got red. Mehr

This hotel is right off the interstate, and very convenient to shopping, restaurants, and attractions in the Quad Cities. Our room was comfortable, with the exception of a VERY noisy group of unsupervised children running up and down the hall our first night there. We called down to the front desk around 11:00, and it quieted down shortly thereafter. We […] were staying for two nights, but on the first morning, housekeeping knocked on our door a little after 8:00 AM. Not the wake-up call we wanted. They left, and never returned. I guess if you miss their one stop at your room, you're out of luck if you want your room cleaned. We had to ask at the front desk for toiletries, since they weren't replenished. Breakfast was a madhouse both mornings, so we went elsewhere. This hotel seems to attract large families, sports teams, etc. The room itself and the location were good, but we'll probably try another hotel on our next trip to the area. Mehr

We only stayed overnight but its definitely one of the nicer hotels in the area. Its right off the expressway and surrounded by all the stores and restaurants you may want..Even Walmart! The people were nice and they made some really good improvements.

This hotel has exceptional service, was beautiful, and they gave us more than we expected. We paid for a nonrefundable room that did not include a Continental Breakfast. But when we checked in, they informed us of the breakfast time and invited us to come. Clean rooms, courteous staff, professional service. Sure, I did not expect much for the low price, but the sheets could be fresher and overall the room and appliances could be cleaner.

Hotel was cheap and clean, but it was very noisey all night long. Great location - lots of restaurants down the road. The pool was also closed the weekend we were there-disappointing.

My 2 yr old loved the pool so much that we went 3 times in 24 hours. It's rare to find a zero depth entry and whirlpool without going to a hotel with a waterpark. Our bathroom could have used some updating, but overall everything else was great. Breakfast selection better than expected. Great location off of the interstate in good neighborhood.

Rooms (esp bathrooms) are small. Service was very good, breakfast good with hot entree daily. Overall cleanliness good. My kids enjoyed the pool, but the air in the indoor pool area was so heavy with chlorine fumes it was diificult to stay very long without burning eyes...and I wasn't even in the water! Price was very good, so overall pleased.

This hotel thought about everything. I was on the second floor and the indoor pool was viewable from a window just outside of my room door to monitor the kids from time to time. There was a wedding going on and I needed to write and have some quiet so I sat outside my room for quiet since the lobby was busy with wedding people and along came a gentleman […] named Aaron and he asked me if I needed some space and quiet. I, of course, said yes and he opened the board room just down the hall for me so I could finish writing. The breakfast was great too. Definitely stay at this hotel, they are very attentive. We ask about thing to do, and the hotel clerk wasn't sure about anything. We cam to the Quad Cities for the Ricky Ti9mms & Alex Anderson Quilt Seminar. We chose to stay at the Ramanda, and not the hotel of the seminar. Next time, if there is to be a next time, we will stay at the hotel the seminar is in. The stay was gret all but NOTHING TO DO.

After reading the very helpful reviews on this and many other hotels in the Davenport area, I am pleased to report this was everything I expected. A great place to stay, with clean rooms and friendly staff. The morning breakfast was also very good with a variety of breakfast items to choose from. I would definitely stay here again.

Enjoyed our stay. Safe neighborhood, clean, quiet room, typical breakfast, better than average pool and hot tub, beautiful lobby.

Our overall experience is one of the best we have had at this price of hotel. The cleaning staff was the best ever, and really went out of the way to accomodate us when we showed up the 2nd day before the room had been cleaned. Hotel pool floor looked nasty, so I did not use it as I had planned. The pool just did not look clean. It was a hassle getting […] into the workout room (special key, then special key for machine! which you had to get from the desk). We thought the breakfast was good, However, morning we left they had run out of the main entree before 8 a.m.! But the price was right, it was quiet, it was clean and we weren't really spending anything but sleeping and showering time there. Mehr

We love this hotel for it's convenient location. Has pool, breakfast and restaurant next door. It is also very quiet.

The hotel was clean and the pool area nice. It is close to a large mall and a large movie theatre. We would stay here again.

Had an issue with a leaking toilet, contacted the front desk, repaired immediately. Friendly staff members.

It was fine until the fire alarm rang at 3am because some kids were smoking in the hall. Other than that, it was great!

Ramada hotels have always had a good reputation and, this Ramada is no exception to that rule. Very clean, very friendly staff, and well maintained rooms. Very much worth the money. It is a gem tucked behind the Old Chicago restaurant (which is very accommodating of the guests. I will definitely stay at this Ramada again in the future.

The staff was very accommodating, the breakfast was good- hot dish every day, waffles, yogurt, juice, coffee. . .The kids enjoyed the pool. Beds were wonderfully comfortable. Would definitely stay again.

Room was as expected, cleaned well and smelled fresh. Room not exceptional but well worth the money. Breakfast could be a little better.

For what I paid, it was what I expected. Hotel was clean but dated and the continental breakfast is nothing to write home about. There is an Old Chicago right next door but aside from that you will need to travel a couple miles to get to any retail or restaurants. My only complaint is that the heat wasn't really adjustable. My wife and I traveled to the Quadcities area on business and we were looking for affordable lodging. The Ramada in Bettendorf was almost perfect, great room rate (closer to days inn pricing than Ramada or Holiday INN). There was an Old Chicago next to the hotel that gave a 10% discount to guests staying at the Ramada. The location couldn't have been […] easier to get to right off the I-74. We had an enjoyable week long stay that was almost a mini vacation. Only real complaint was the fridge in the room was too small for full-size take out boxes and one really couldn't fit more than a few small items in there. Otherwise a great deal. Mehr

My sons and I stayed here on the night of the big snowfall (Feb. 1, 2011) after they saw a concert n Moline. This hotel had a friendly staff and our room was roomy, comfortable, and clean! With all the snow, the maintenance staff did their best to keep up with the snow. We would definitely stay there again! Good job Ramada Bettendorf!

Great pool and good breakfast. Some towels were left in the hall for an entire day. Good rate and value for the price. We have stayed there twice and would return for the easy access to the highway and the pool.

We have a long drive to visit relatives in northern WI so we like to stop somewhere in the middle for the night. On the way to their house we stopped at the La Quinta on the other side of the highway, horrible idea. On the way back we stayed here and it was very nice. The hotel was clean, updated and in good repair. They had updated all the decor fixtures […] which was very nice too. There is a little market in the lobby instead of noisy vending machines and the prices were fairly reasonable. We had a nice fridge with separate freezer, not just a freezer tray thing inside the fridge. There was also a microwave and table with chairs. The beds had updated linens and blankets. The best part about that is that there was no nasty comforter from the 70's that never gets washed. There were extra blankets folded in the dresser which we used. I really like that they wash all the bedding, not just the sheets. The breakfast was very nice. They have the usual waffles, yogurt, fruit, toast, cereal, muffins, bagels, juice, milk and coffee. In addition to that there were also danishes, bacon and omelets. The breakfast area was pretty small, only six tables with 2-4 chairs. The crowd was not so good but I think that was due to the holidays. One family took up four of the six tables and there were only three people eating, total. Other families were standing next to the counters trying to hold onto babies and toddlers while eating. The rude family taking up all the tables and chairs looked at them and the rest of us who were patiently waiting and didn't seem to care. Some of them even had bare feet which I thought was pretty gross. They were quite loud and said a relative was within walking distance so I think that is why they stayed there. They also said they were sleeping eight to a room that only had two queen beds so I don't think they are the typical crowd.
