Ramada Inn Hiawassee Ga - Hiawassee

Thoroughly enjoyed the stay. Accommodations were great and service excellent. Will stay again

I booked this room for my parents - my Mother is in a wheel chair. At bedtime both of them had to wash with a cloth because the SHOWER WASN"T WORKING. It was too late for maintenance - VERY DISSAPOINTED in this hotel. They travel to Hiwassee a lot but won't be back here.

Its a nice hotel but really old. Beautiful view of the lake.

This motel was asthetically pleasing, and clean. The help was pleasant and truly helpful. The view from our balcony was peaceful and lovely. The bed was very comfy, the bathroom had no mold, they had plenty of towels already there so we didn't have to ask for more. My only complaint would be the lack of protein @ the breakfast. Friendly staff. Big iron burn on my room's carpet. Otherwise room was fine/clean. Would stay again.

Great location! Beautiful view of lake and mountains. Comfortable room. Nicely decorated. Smoky smell from wood burning fireplace in the lobby. Not offensive, but I could smell it from the 3rd floor. Bathroom jacuzzi tub was fantastic! Breakfast was a bit dull, as many hotel breakfasts are. Not a bad meal to be had by myself and two kids during the […] duration of our trip...local restaurants were great and affordable. This is a place even Mother would like! A pool would ha e been nice, but being across the street from public access to the lake made up for it. Next door is the fairgrounds where we found a boat access. Needless to say, we'll be back! Traveled to Hiawassee to see our son who lives in Hayesville, NC but works in Young Harris, GA and this hotel was reccommend by his co-workers. Hotel was very convenient to our travel in the area. It was not prime time for tourists, so there would not many travelers staying at the hotel. Each room has a balcony, with views of the lake or the mountains. […] The clerk that checked us in was more interested on looking at his laptop than us, but he was OK. House kleepres were excellent. My only complaint was with breakfast. On our first day, they had cereals, toast, pastries, aand beverages. But no eggs. That night, roughly 30 bikers arrived. The next morning there were eggs along with everything else. Our third, again, no eggs. this doesn't bother me a lot, except for the consisitency they take or don't take with their breakfast area. Upon checkout, the clerk, differnet than the one that checked us in, was totally confused. We had pre-paid to get the best rate available. The clerk was going to charge us and then was not even going to give us a receipt. None of these are major concerns, but I would like to think that travelers get the proper recognition from the hotel. it wasn;t like they were busy. Mehr

We very much enjoyed our stay. It was only over night, but the room was clean and well cared for , although a bit small. The entire property was very well maintained. Wonderful views and easy location. No pool would have been a bummer had we been there longer than overnight. Would stay there again, without a doubt.

Couldn't be a better location for trips around the North Georgia mountains. The Ramada has a view of the mountains for striking sunsets, and a view of Lake Chatuge for memorable sunrises. There is a walking trail to the lake shore that starts in the parking lot. We visited Hiawassee, Blue Ridge, and the summit of Brasstown Bald from our "base camp" […] at the Ramada. The restaurant next door (walking distance) is The Chop House and we had a 5-star dining experience there. My only complaints were the bed, which was as hard as concrete, and the thin walls of our room which kept us awake with music on one side and a blaring TV on the other. Over all the hotel was fine for the price. Our A/C unit was constantly going off and on. The house keeping service was good and the house keeper was very friendly and shared local info with us.

This is always a nice place to stay. Very clean and comfortable. Lake view is great.

Very nice and convenient hotel. Well maintained and hotel staff was very friendly. Location is very nice with pretty views of Lake Chatuge! Only 1 drawback hotel does not have a swimming pool which most hotels do.

We were very pleased with the hotel and its location. I did not realize it had a walking trail that would get you to the Georgia Mountain Fair Grounds and the Anderson Music Hall. That made our stay even better to not have to drive in the traffic to get to the concert. We were very please with the room and the breakfast. I loved the hotel. It was a very convenient location to the venue that we attended. The room was very clean and the staff answered every question that we needed to know.

Hiawassee is a very small town in northern GA that sees seasonal traffic. The room was a bit musty upon arrival due to the rain and probable low use. The hotel is older but the staff makes the stay nicer

My husband and I stayed in this hotel for only one night and were extremely pleased with it. The hotel is VERY clean, nicely decorated and is situated in an isolated area so you don't have to listen to noisy traffic all night. I was visiting Hiawassee for the first time and found this hotel to be perfect. The staff was freindly and were happy to print out Mapquest directions for me in the office and give me a razor to shave with (I forgot mine). Also, there is a fantastic lake right across the street with a terrific swimming area.
