Obwohl einige Bewertungen hier sehr schlecht waren, haben wir dieses Hotel gebucht. Und ich muss sagen zum Glück. Wir fanden alles wirklich super und sauber. Wir hatten ein deluxe Zimmer in den obersten Etagen. Das es nachts immer noch etwas laut ist, ist normal. Man ist in einer Großstatdt. Und jeder der sich hier beschwerd, war noch nie in New York […] oder einer anderen Großstadt in den USA. DAs Hotel liegt in einer super Lage. Wir konnten so viel zu Fuss erreichen! Dieses Hotel hat meine Erwartungen übertrofen. Ist eindeutig mehr wert als 3 1/2 Sterne. Alles hat wunderbar funktioniert. Englisch wurde gut verstanden. Zimmer sauber und immer aufgeräumt. Lage ist super da es nur 5 min zur berühmten Nanjing Rd. sind. Kann dieses Hotel guten Gewissens weiterempfehlen. Gerne wieder.

Ganz ok, ganz besonders für Chinesische Verhältnisse. Plus: Schick, sauber, mehrere Restaurants im Hotel, so dass man abends gut essen kann - und das für nicht viel Geld, also nicht die typischen Hotelpreise. Neutral: Frühstück is ein Mix aus Europäisch und Asiatisch. Pluspunkt also: es gibt normales Frühstück: brot, Brötchen, Käse, Wurst, Marmelade, […] sogar Müsli. Allerdings (minuspunkt) alles in sehr kleiner Auswahl. Aber immerhin, in China is ein derartiges Frühstück alles andere als normal, denn dort ist man fast das gleiche zum Frühstück, wie zu allen anderen Malzeiten. Und ich komme mir einem Besuch im Chinarestaurant zum Frühstück nicht so recht klar. Minuspunkt: Service. Es gibt in jedem Zimmer einen Multifunktionalen Wecker ohne Beschreibung. Ich bin technisch nicht unbewandert, aber man muss doch erst einmal herausfinden, dass man manche Lichtschalter über den Wecker ausschalten muss und dass der Fernseher sich über den Wecker einschalten lässt. Das war mir nicht von vornherein klar. Der Anruf beim Frontdesk war sehr wenig hilfreich. Beim ersten Anruf haben sie gesagt, sie schicken jemanden aufs Zimmer. 10 Minuten später habe ich wieder angerufen - ich brauche niemanden, sagen Sie mir doch einfach was ich tun muss, um hier das Licht auszustellen - es ist 23:30 ich bint total müde. Wo zum Kuckuck ist der Lichtschalter. Antwort: wir schicken jemanden hoch. 10 Minuten später hatte ich es dann selbst herausgefunden: auf dem Wecker... Beim Frontdesk angerufen: hab es selbst herausgefunden. Brauche niemanden mehr. Antwort: wir schicken ihnen jemanden aufs Zimmer - moment. So schlecht war das Englisch nicht, er hatte mir zwischendurch auch einen ganzen Satz geantwortet. Egal. 10 Minuten später kam dann tatsächlich jemand... Nur wozu? Für solche Albernheiten ist man mitten in der Nacht zu müde. Mehr

Das Hotel ist sehr schön in der Nähe des Bund gelegen. Personal ist sehr hilfreich und freundlich.

Das Hotel liegt sehr günstig in der Nähe des Bunds. Allerdings muss man bis dahin schon ca. 10 bis 15 Minuten Fussmarsch rechnen. Das Hotelpersonal spricht komplett englisch, sogar der Room-Service. Es ist sehr freundlich und die Tipps sind sehr hilfreich. Man kann viele Attraktionen von Shanghai zu Fuß erreichen. Gegenüber gibt es eine Baguetterie […] mit kostenlosem W-Lan Anschluss und gutem Kaffee. Das Hotelrestaurant ist auch empfehlenswert. Die Umgebung ist laut, aber die Hotelfenster sind gut isoliert. Nahe an der der Nanging-Road aber trotzdem in einer Umgebung mit alter Bebauung. Sehr gutes Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis. Grosses Frühstücksbuffet. Hotel ist in einem recht gutem Zustand.

We had a pleasant stay, facilities are well kept, staff helpful, friendly and accommodating.

Excellent, very modestly priced hotel very close to the center of the city. 5 min walk to People's Square / the nearest metro-station. Quite small rooms, but who's going to spend that much time the hotel room anyway...

It was a happy discovery that the hotel is close to the East Nanjing Road, Shanghai's answer to the Times Square in New York. The East Nanjing Road is a shopping district. Since my wife and I love shopping, we visited the place twice in our 3-day stay. There is a canteen nearby that serves great but cheap foods. Before going back to the hotel, you may […] drop by at a cafe (near the canteen) and try their hot milk tea. It was sooh good. The staffs of the hotel are friendly and helpful, and speaks English (not really well but good enough). Room is clean and beddings are comfy. I'd stay in this hotel again. Tip: Get the brochure of the hotel and bring it with you. You will need that when getting a cab and giving directions back to your hotel. I travel to China often and have stayed in some sad hotels, despite a four or five-star rating. The Bund Hotel far exceeded my expectations with a lot of English-speaking staff who were extremely helpful in providing info on what to do and see in Shanghai. I am a Business man from New York. I've stayed in The Bund Shanghai and I enjoyed my stay every bit of it. It is so close to all the fun and entertainment. I would recommend this hotel to everyone who wants to stay in the Bund District.

with regards to the room ...everything is fine except that the seat of the toilet are old and need to be replace ...and floors are not shinny it needs to be polish

Excellent front desk service; upgraded my room upon arriving without additional charge. Will stay again next time.

A good choice for those on either leisure or business trip. I stayed on the executive floor, however information pertaining to services for those staying in executive rooms are lacking.

Beautiful & spacious room. Superb housekeeping services. Fantastic concierge services. Coveniently located at the famous Nan Jing street. My only 2 complaints are: 1.) that they charge a significantly higher price for the same dish when it comes to room service as compared to dining in their restaurant. I stayed in the executive room so what I experienced may be different from some others here who stayed in other room types. The room is great - clean, spacious with pleasant decor. Without regards to price, it compares favourably to other hotels' rooms in general. I have stayed in Salvo which is two streets away. And I wish to mention that The Bund's […] rooms are far superior even though it got mostly lower gradings compared to Salvo. I assume people must have rated Salvo favourably due to price, which may be a little misleading if you are not aware. Finally the last and most immportant part - when you book through www.hotels.com, the hotel will not be able to issue you any receipt which is not too good for me, plus they will not accept early check out. Minutes away from Nanjing Road. A short walk to the Bund. Also a short inexpensive taxi ride to the Pudong district. About a 15 min walk to the Yu Gardens and Old Shanghai. About the hotel itself, the rooms were clean and comfortable but a bit dark. Hotel staff spoke decent English. Had to pay for WiFi though.

I stayed at an old section of the hotel. In order to get to my room I had to take the elevator to the forth floor and walk to another elevator which took me to the sixth floor. the room was equipped with an old computer that an extremely slow internet connectivity. the level 4 and 5 rooms are not suitable. pse take note that the hotel will try to put u at those levels if booked through expedia or hotel.com, if you request for other levels at the "main" building then,a standard answer would be the hotel is fully booked for the week. I think hotel.com needs to do better in negotiating the rooms stay. Also, there […] isn't any refund policy after you have check in. therefore, most guest will be caught in Catch 22 situation. The hotel is in a good location which is near to all the interesting sight seing spots and more over it is close to Shangai Downtown. The only inconvenience that I experienced is that I have to take an elevator to 4th floor and walk a long distance to take another elevator to go to 5th floor where my room is. I opted for the "executive" room and for the price it was great and w/a separate executive check-in I felt pretty special. Certainly not like a Four Seasons but I wasn't paying those prices! Location was okay - w/in 5-6 blocks or 10-15 minutes walking to major sites altho. it was really close to the Shanghai Historical Museum which should be on your […] list of things to do.It's free and you'll see things Chinese w/good signage and handouts. You won't need to do another museum in China. The "happy hour" was the only downer, don't bother. It was small cookies and tea, coffee, and soft drinks. A disappointment for sure. After a hot day of sightseeing, a cold beer would have been great. Otherwise it was a good deal, a big room and bathroom, and quiet. i think, this hotel is defenitely a really good deal and can recommend it to erverybody. the hotel is excellently located between the bund and the peoplesquare (both directions about a 10min walk) and therefore has two subwaystations nearby. the rooms are in a good condition and made a clean impression. i tried the breakfast once. it was ok, but in […] my opinion too expensive. the condition of the gym was not that great, but you still can have a reasonable workout. the stuff did not really speak english, but you can ask some basic questions and they will understand. Rooms nice and big enough, location very convenient, 3 minutes to Nanjing shopping street, and to People's square. Watch out, the location of the hotel on the map of hotels.com is about a kilometre too much north...I choose the executive floor to have a nice view, and perhaps for some extras.. The Bund Hotel was definitely worth the money for the location and what you get. I stood in an executive suite, which is pretty nice. the room's control panel may be something a little new for most foriegners--the control panel on the bed side controls many lights and the television. the view from the 22nd floor was very nice, overlooking the Huangpu […] district. The night view was amazing. The hotel is also very centrally located to Nanjing Dong Lu, and is also near destinations like the Bund, People's Park, and a few museums. This is my second stay in the Bund hotel. It is a convenient hotel of every way possible. Guiet, clean with a very good clever staff. Easy quick check in and out. It is in the city center close to everything you may need.

This hotel was in a really good location. Close to the Huangpu River, markets and restaurants. The only thing wrong with this hotel was the rock hard beds. It was as firm as the floor. Apart from that, all else was good.

Given the size and amenities of my room I'd say that I got a reasonable price. The location was fine, it was accessible to nearby stores, restaurants and a market while E. Nanjing St. (and the subway station) is about 5-10 mins. walk. I did not eat breakfast in the hotel cafe so I can't comment about it. They charge for internet use but since I booked […] a room at the top/executive floor, the internet was free. Being at a top floor room, the bathroom was quite big with separate shower and tub. The Bund Hotel is an excellent budget choice... I was able to walk everywhere, as it was so centrally located. Rooms are very clean and spacious, especially for the price. My only complaint is that internet, laundry, and breakfast were kind of pricey. Nice, helpful staff... great service. Would definitely stay here again!!

This gem of a hotel is located in an authentic neighborhood of Shanghai. You can see life in a hutong across the street, while sitting in your room. It is one third the cost of a name brand hotel in an austere location. You can walk a few doors away to buy reasonably priced soft drinks, fruit, etc. and you are close to the People's Park and can walk […] to Yuyuan area for the best shopping while experiencing the history of China. The rooms are large, bathroom has granite counters, tastefully decorated and the staff is friendly/helpful. If you want to experience the touristy Nanjing Road, it is within walking distance. The restaurant/food is mediocre but the bar area has atmosphere and the staff in the business center and executive floor (worth a little extra $$) were just great. This was our second visit to this hotel and we liked it better than the Westin. Mehr

the hotle is ok. the rooms are very small. the price is very high for not including brekfast. i will not stay again at this hotle , because there other good deals around shanghai i can get.

Good service at the reception and great concierge personals giving good advices like the nearest laundry shop etc etc. Room is spacious and clean and the bathroom is big. I think it's valued for money.

Overall, a good hotel. The rooms are very modern and clean. Location is pretty descent and subway sandwich across the street. Neighbourhood okay, short walk to shopping streat and bund. Try to stay away from Chinas business hotels as they are usually places for "massage: and 'ktv" girls which are just a nice name for prostitutes. Everything was fine about the hotel, except one of the most important parts of the industry....a comfortable bed. And this alone makes it a 2 star hotel. Personnel were friendly and competent, room was clean, etc.

Good hotel, good value for money. Rooms nice and clean. Internet available in the rooms, though a little expensive. I would definetely recommend this hotel to others, if you want to stay close to the city centre in Shanghai with the Bund, underground, Old Shanghai, bazaar, Yuyuan gardens and shopping within easy walking distance.

The Bund Hotel deserves its star rating. In walking distance to the main attractions. The staff were helpful and some what spoke English, which was a plus. I would definitely stay here again!

About a 10-15 minute walk to The Bund. About the same to the Pedestrian Mall (nearest Metro station). Rooms were clean. Good breakfast buffet. I'd stay here again for the price.

It is very well located. It is very near to all the attractions. Everywhere just a 10-15 mins taxi ride. The room is cosy and comfortable. Overall , not a bad place to stay.

Bed is way too stiff.

The hotel is close to everything and the price was very reasonable. They also let me check in at 7am which really helped. overall, wonderful staff, great value, and would highly recommend.
