Schönes Hotel mit einer suuuper Lage direkt am Elbow Beach. Je nach Lage der Zimmer sind es nur ein paar Meter zum tollen Sandstrand,wo auch Liegen bereit stehen.Hotelpool ist auch sehr schön+Liegen.Hotelbar war zu unserer Zeit leider nicht so gut besucht,Barkeeper war aber stets präsent auch für ein "smalltalk" An der Rezeption waren auch alle Mitarbeiter […] immer freundlich und hilfsbereit(Scooter+Whale-Watching Buchung),einer sprach auch Deutsch. Super Lage, direkt am Strand, besser geht es nicht auf Bermuda. Zimmer waren schon etwas älter, aber sauber und gut ausgestattet.

Nice clean comfortable room with a great view of the ocean. The private beach was great for a romantic getaway. Great location to everything. Hotel is close to a grocery store, and the bus stop. You need to request in advance a micowave, as the rooms don't normally don't come with them.

We were quite pleased with our stay at Coco Reef. While Bermuda has a reputation for being expensive, this hotel was quite reasonable. South-facing rooms have a GREAT view of the fabulous Elbow Beach. It's a short cab ride or reasonable bus ride from downtown Hamilton ... or even a good hour's hike if you swing that way. Highly recommended.

It's like what you see in the movies, the ocean is only a few steps away. Tourquise blue water, clean sand. The location is beyond perfect.

very dated but can't beat being on the beach like that. Staff very good but all folks on Bermuda are great.

Just back from a fine wknd in Bermuda, courtesy, at least in part, to Hotels.com. I had booked a trip thru them last year and had to cancel due to illness. Hotels.com helped me to get the airline to honor the tickets! Also, I booked at the Coco Beach at a special rate, again thru Hotels.com. The hotel was beautiful, either brand new or meticulously […] kept, and just gracious and elegant. Our room opened right on the beach looking east into the sunrise. Nice shower, good tv, clean, and best of all a comfortable bed!! We ate breakfast in the hotel each day, expensive but a good value in Bermuda. The staff happily called the horseback stable (closed) and scooter rental place (we did it and survived!) for us. The actual manager was there to welcome us! A word about the South Road area of Bermuda - less congested, green and lush everywhere, slower paced than the more northern areas. Lovely coastline all along, from Spittal Pond wildlife area down to Horseshoe cove. Convenient to go all the way to the Dock Yard area with little traffic. We went into Hamilton one night but the rest of the time we stayed close to the Coco Beach. Short flight from the east coast - great for a quick weekend! Mehr

Our room was ready upon arrival. It was pretty basic, tile floors, wicker furniture w/cushions, tub/shower combo. It was off season so things were quiet and laid back, perfect for relaxing. The beds had lots of give and the door didn't seal well (letting sound and light in). It's ~ 1/2 mile walk to the nearest bus stop through the campus of the Bermuda […] College. Mehr

Convenient for the buses, a regular service two minutes walk away. Good beach views and a hotel with all the amenities needed.

Located a short walk from the bus stop, Coco Reef is an affordable hotel option in Bermuda. The room was clean with a nice view of the ocean. No wireless in the rooms, so you have to trek to the hotel lobby, where you will find the other hotel guests using WiFi.

Excellent location, literally on the beach. Clean, reasonably priced ,especially compared to Elbow Beach, which is 100 yards done the beach and 2x more expensive, athough Elbow's restaurant is much preferrable. Dated, but would recommend to all who look to be on a beach at a reasonable price.

I decided to say "no, thank you" to Christmas this year and take a much-needed vacation to Bermuda, and I'm so happy I chose to stay at Coco Reef. The bartender was super friendly and I enjoyed talking with him about the island. I ate dinner in the restaurant on Christmas day - it was good but a bit pricey, like most things in Bermuda. The website said the pool was heated, but it definitely wasn't the day I went in it, probably because there weren't many patrons at the hotel. It was being filtered the next day, so maybe if you ask they'll filter and heat it? I'm not sure. Coco Reef Bermuda--A Nice Surprise and a Pleasant Stay! This was our third time to Bermuda and our first time staying at Coco Reef. We found Coco Reef to be a wonderful place to stay, and centrally located on the island. I booked this for a brief stay with my girlfriend. Pros: * Great location. Steps off the beach. Unlike most hotels in Bermuda, this is pretty much on the water. * Decent service, they called taxis when needed. * Great price. Pretty much the same location as Elbow Beach, though much cheaper. Cons: * A bit dated / worn. Not the newest of hotels in Bermuda, […] though I can't say much is new there. * Breakfast was a bit forgettable, and like everything else on the island, kinda expensive. * This is pretty much just a hotel, not a full-service resort (spa, tennis, etc.). Good location, nice restaurant, excellent service and lots of ants. I would recomend this hotel as long as you don't mind sharing your room with thousands of ants . Ants in the bathroom, bed, sofa, on desk, and climbing the walls.

OMG! Go for the beachfront. The sound of the ocean waves will put you to sleep every night. In the morning, the sun rises through the sliding glass door, and the local birds come to chirp on the patio. It is an excellent view. Only steps to the beach. On the down side: most of the restaurants are way overpriced (if you are an American). Excellent price for a comfortable hotel in Bermuda. Elegant albeit a little 'tired'. Would come back happily at the right price.

If what you want in Bermuda is an easy access to beautiful beaches, then this is the place to be. Didn't expect a lot and traveled with a few friends at the end of October. What a beautiful beach and super convenient location! Rooms were well maintained and clean, with nice and helpful staffs. The hotel is in a great location, and the room rate is very reasonable, particularly for the high prices that are common in Bermuda. The room decor is dated, but the positive factors more than make up for this.

Absolutely beautiful beach and grounds right on the north end of Elbow Beach. Rooms are basic and out of date, need maintenance, but comfortable and you can't beat the view. Affordable (and less so) good restaurants near by as well as a grocery store. Main desk staff was hit or miss. We had a lovely stay at Coco Reef Resort Labor Day weekend. When we arrived we were upgraded to a beachfront room at no cost. The room was very nice. We noticed the sliding door sticking and the handle had a screw coming out, but the maintenance folks came right away to fix it. The beach is beautiful, but was a little rough during our stay, strong currents […] not amenable to small children swimming, but there was a hurricane coming so it may just be attributed to that weather phenomena. Everyone was extremely friendly and accommodating and helpful. There is a short 5 minute walk to the bus stop, and the hotel staff helped us figure out which ways we would be going to get to our daily destinations. We enjoyed dinner at their restaurant, and have appropriate kid's choices as well. Would love to come back to Bermuda and stay here! Mehr

The views were terrific from our room & patio. In general the hotel staff were very friendly and the front desk staff in particular were quite knowledgeable and helpful with all logisitics, recommendations and answers to our questions. We would look for an opportunity to go back to Coco Reef on our next trip to Bermuda.

Let me start by saying that many of the hotel.com reviews are incorrect about the hotel and its staff. I greatly enjoyed this hotel, its location, staff, and beautiful beach. There are many points that made this the perfect getaway spot. POSITIVE ASPECTS 1) PRIVACY: Coco Reef comes with a very private layout which allows guests to enjoy the views […] and the island without seeing and hearing other guests. Our visit started on Wednesday, and the hotel was only 25% occupied. During the weekend the hotel was full, but still quiet. 2) GROCERY STORE: There is a grocery store located within 15 minutes (walking) from the hotel. Food on the island is priced about the same as food in NYC or other large cities, so eating out every meal can add up. 3) RESTAURANTS: The hotel is located on Elbow Beach which also hosts other resorts including one in the adjacent lot to Coco Reef. That resort has excellent dining facilities including Sea Breeze (terrific sushi) and Mickies (bar/local food). We did not eat at Coco Reef, because the restaurants at the resort next door were open air and close to the ocean. 4) BARS: Coco Reef has one main bar in the lobby. Guests in the pool can access the bar through a back door. The resort also had a staff member circle the beach and allow guests to order drinks. 5) LOCATION: Coco Reef is located within 15 minutes (driving) to Hamilton and 30-45 minutes to the Airport. Cab fares were inexpensive, so the location did not bother us. The island is hilly and hot, so I would not plan on trying to walk across the island or to Hamilton. 6) STAFF: Coco Reef staff were very hospitable and friendly. We even had a problem with our room in the middle of the night, and staff member came and corrected the issue. NEUTRAL TO NEGATIVE ASPECTS 1) The beds were very uncomfortable. This is a very nice hotel for the money. It's right next door to and shares the beach with the famous Elbow Beach Hotel. All rooms have ocean views. The only improvement I would say they need is to update the guest room furniture which was a little threadbare. There are many great things to say about this hotel. I traveled with my toddler and it was great. The pool has a shallow end that is great for young kids. The beach is just steps from all the hotel rooms which makes it very easy. The restaurant is overpriced (ave $16 for sandwiches, $30 for dinner), but there is a store just down the street which has […] great prices for food hot and cold alike. The hotel is far from main town, but if all you are looking for is sand, surf, and pool then this is the place. Also the Orient next door has live music, etc so it might be possible to spend some time there too. The room was very clean, the beds were a little squeaky, the furnishings are 'island' style, and you can hear loud people if they are outside at night (but generally its a very quiet hotel). My new husband and I took our honeymoon to Bermuda for a week, and had reservations for the Coco Reef six months prior to our wedding. When we got there, we were greeted with nice smiles and good people. The resort was beautiful, however things aren't always what they seem! Our first night, there was a roach in our room (no a big roach like they have […] on most islands, but a house roach), and our bathroom outlet was infested with ants along with electrical problems. We switched rooms to then see more roaches at our new room. We went to eat in their only dinning area (not outside) and along with the mood lighting, an infestation of roaches decided that they wanted to join us for dinner as well! They normally give you the check at your table, but we kindly got up and paid at the front, where we then went on to tell the staff as well as manager about the roaches in the dinning area. Their response was..."We've been trying to take care of that usually at night, but no need to worry. We know about it and it's okay, their not bothering anyone." Had this been the states, this place would've been shut down on the roaches being in the dinning hall just alone! Beautiful people, and beautiful view with wonderful service, but will never go back to this resort, and would not recommend it if you are not use to roaches joining you. Had a wonderful time at Coco Reef Resorts in Bermuda. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and the food is very good. If you are looking for a relaxing beach vacation, look no further. Coco Reef was one of the few hotels availible for our business trip to Bermuda. All Bermuda hotels are overpriced and this was no exception. The lobby was wonderful and the rooms were great, clean and comfortable albeit furnished with circa 1980 wicker condo furniture. We stayed at Coco Reef for a 3-night romantic get-away and highly recommend it. The hotel's private beach was simply lovely, and the pool was clean and refreshing. We were just a brief moped ride away from the gorgeous South Shore beaches as well as from Hamilton. Others have written that Coco Reef could use a make-over, but we truly didn't care that […] the decor was a bit dated and...interesting. Our room was very clean (our king bed was a king bed, not twins pushed together) and the staff could not possibly have been more accommodating. For example, they arranged for our moped rental even though the agency was closed for the day, and they anticipated that we would need transportation to the airport and had a taxi waiting for us. 4 couples met for a celebration. We asked the front desk to charter us boat for snorkeling, we gave them an advert. When we returned in the evening we learned the charter company had gone out of business. The front desk however stopped there. We spend hours trying to book a snorkel trip. It so happens as we walked the beach and passed the next resort […] there was a hut there for a snorkel/dive company. The staff was courteous but not particularly helpful -- one notable exception is Mr. Vladimir. He seemed to work around the clock, hope they are paying him well. Mehr

This is not as luxurious as the neighboring Elbow Beach resort, but it shares frontage on the same beach, and was the perfect place to stay for a "do nothing" vacation getaway. The surrounding area, near the Bermuda College campus, contains a small grocery store that has just about everything you could possibly want (including liquor, beer, and wine) […] and has access to the Bermuda rail trail. The area is not very exciting, so don't go here if you're looking for a high energy vacation where you'll be entertained all the time, but if relaxation is what you're after, this is the perfect place. The room was nice and clean, but a few things were in a bit of disrepair (the back door leading to the porch and beach required two hands and a lot of effort to open and close). A mini-refrigerator was located in the room, and was big enough to store a couple of days worth of breakfast and lunch. Mehr

My husband and I were recently at Coco Reef to celebrate our birthdays. We had ocean front rooms. The view was breathe-taking. Our rooms were always clean and the staff at the front desk were more than helpful. But we felt the wait staff at the restaurant could haver been a bit more friendly. This hotel sits directly beside the Elbow Beach Resort. Although […] Coco Reef did not have all of the same amenities as the Resort did, I would choose this hotel hands down. We went to Bermuda to lay on the beach so we weren't lookng for gyms and spas. Although if you chose to, you could eat at the Resort's restaraunts. Coco Reef is definitely a second-class facility -- old and dated. It really needs to be mowed down and replaced, not "updated." But wait!! The views are spectacular, you're right next to Elbow Beach (fabulous!), the staff are very nice, the beds are comfy, it couldn't be more conveniently located, and the PRICE IS RIGHT! Loved it! Great room with ocean view and beautiful private beaches. Large room with large oversized bathroom. Last minuete find on internet for memorial day. Missed cruise ship from New York went on internet found this hotel booked it and flew to Burmuda. Great beaches, pool and resturant. A lot of cats on the property (scary looking).

Not the fanciest place but comfortable. Staff very gracious and helpful. Bus and ferry pass is a must -- but it's a bit of an uphill hike back to the hotel. Dinner was good; breakfast not so much. Great little gem of a place. Best beach I've ever been to...secluded, gorgeous, pristine. Place is 200 yds from the big Elbow Beach Hotel so if you want to go there for big hotel stuff just walk around the big coral formation at end of Coco's beach and there it is. Super friendly staff 10 mins frorm Hamilton.

Coco Reef is beautifully situated with its own private beach and easy access to adjacent Elbow Beach. The rooms are clean, they all have an ocean view with adequate privacy. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The buildings and grounds are attractive and well maintained. The restaurant is excellent. There is almost nothing wrong with the Coco Reef Hotel. The rooms are very well laid out, there is nothing one could want for, and it is simply beautiful. For us, additional features that stand out are: access to a market (where we were able to supply ourselves--(in the room refrigerator)---with breakfast, lunch/snack), close proximity (a few yards […] away) to three restaurants at the Elbow Beach Hotel), and a bus stop right near the entrance. Coco Reef has the perfect location on one end of one of the most beautiful beaches in the world, everyone as a veranda overlooking it, next door to a high end resort, and short bus ride (frequently passing by) to Hamilton or all other south shore beaches. Also mini-frig combined with grocery store very close by, as well as a more reasonably priced "diner […] style" restaurant close by means you can save a bit on Bermuda's astronomical restaurant prices. Hotel is a little "worn around the edges" but is kept very clean and staff is kind and helpful. Great value given Bermuda's prices and many attractions. Mehr
