Gut: Nähe zur U-Bahn und das gute Preis-Leistungsverhältnis Eher negativ: kleines Bad und schwieriges soziales Umfeld im Stadtteil (man traut sich nach Sonnenuntergang eigentlich nur noch in Begleitung vor die Tür). Insgesamt jedoch durchaus ganz gut, sofern man eine günstige Übernachtungsmöglichkeit sucht.

Das Hotel Iliade liegt verkehrsgünstig: die Metro ist um die Ecke, Gare du Nord (RER zum Flughafen) und Gare de l'Est (ICE nach Deutschland) sind nur wenige Metrostationen entfernt. Sacre Coeur ist bequem zu Fuß erreichbar Supermarkt, Bäckerei, Restaurants vor der Tür.

Das Hotel befindet sich etwas außerhalb des Zentrums im Norden von Paris, eine Metro-Station ist aber nur wenige hundert Meter entfernt. In der Nähe befinden sich außerdem einige Cafés und Fast-Food-Läden. Das Hotel selbst ist von der Ausstattung her sehr einfach gehalten und nicht mehr ganz auf dem neusten Stand. Auch sind die Zimmer nicht übermäßig […] groß. Aber wenn man dort eigentlich nur übernachten möchte, ist das sehr in Ordnung. Die Sauberkeit des Zimmers war fragwürdig, die dunklen Stellen unter der Decke in der Dusche sahen eher aus wie Kulturen. In der Gegend kann man Nachts nicht gut weggehen, da man sich nicht sicher ist, ob man heil im Hotel wieder ankommt. Das Hotel ist nichts herausragendes. Vielmehr eher klein. Der Komfort ist vergleichbar mit anderen Low Budget Hotels in Großstädten. Vorteil: * leichte Erreichbarkeit per PKW von der Peripherie-Autobahn aus ohne sich erst ins Centrum hineinkämpfen zu müssen. * Metro-Station in nur 2 min Fußweg erreichbar * kleine Läden und ein kleiner Supermarkt in […] unmittelbarer Nähe erlauben, sich Getränke etc. zu kaufen und mit ins Zimmer zu nehmen. .... das ist neben dem freundlichen Personal und dem günstigen Preis auf der Plus-Seite zu verbuchen. Dagegen fällt das äußerst kleine Zimmer (geschätzt: maximal zehn Quadratmeter, eher weniger) sowie die kaputten und teilweise verschimmelten Kacheln sehr negativ auf.

wir wußten, dass wir für diesen preis in paris nicht viel erwarten durften. aber sauberkeit kann man normalerweise immer erwarten. nur wurden wir da eines besseren belehrt. das zimmer war abgewohnt, es funktionierten nicht alle lampen. das bad war schimmelig, der duschkopf total verkalkt, es waren noch haare vom vorigen benutzer am boden, es fehlten […] fließen - alles in allem nicht wirklich einladend, obwohl jeden tag geputzt wurde - offensichtlich nicht sehr gründlich - und es jeden tag neue handtücher gab. Das einzige was für dieses Hotel spricht ist die Lage. DIe Metro ist in direkter Nähe und gegenüber befindet sich ein Supermarkt und ein paar Lokale. Die Zimmer bieten keinen kompfort und das Bad ist absolut winzig. Man kann sich nicht mal darin umdrehen. Nach der ersten Nacht wurde das Zimmer nicht gesäubert und wir bekamen nur mit betteln neue Handtücher. […] Wir hatten in unserem Aufenthalt gefühlte 50 Grad und da wäre es schon schön nach dem duschen neue Handtücher zu haben. Das Telefon war einfach nur eklig und bräunlich das könnte einen Lappen gut vertragen. Leichte Schimmelstellen an den Fenstern und im Bad. Der Duschvorhang war zu kurz so das mann sehr aufpassen mußte. Gegenüber lag eine Dico oder eine Kneippe die bis 2 Uhr morgens sehr laute Musik machte und man bei diese Temperaturen die Fenster zu lassen mußte. Alternativ hatte man wenigstens einen Ventilator im Raum der dann die ganze Nacht laufen mußte. Das Personal spricht nur Englisch aber das ist ok. Was positiv war, dass man die Koffer nach dem auschecken noch dort abstellen konnte. Wir sind erst abends zurückgeflogen und konnten so den Tag noch sinnvoll nutzen. Mehr

Kleines sauberes Hotel, relativ hellhörig ( weiß aber nicht ob es von der Lage des Zimmers abhängig ist). Wenn man jedoch den ganzen Tag in Paris unterwegs ist dann schläft man so gut, das man nx mehr hört. Für einen Kurzurlaub schon zu empfehlen, für längere Zeit wären mir persönlich die Zimmer und das Bad zu klein.

Das Hotel wurde im Internet mit 3 Sternen deklariert, was in keiner Weise den Tatsachen entspricht. Die Fotos der Zimmer entsprechen nicht der Realität, ist doch das Mobiliar teils zerschlissen und alt. Es sind dringends Renovationen nötig. The staff were in the main friendly, the location ok, but our room must have been decorated many years ago for although looked the same as on the website it was really in a poor state. We enjoyed our time in Paris and will visit again soon but at a different hotel.

The hotel is for the budget-minded. It is not a luxury hotel nor is it in an exciting part of town but it is fairly close to a metro station and get around Paris in a jiff. I would stay there again but, for those interested in the sights and sounds of Paris, you´ll have to take a metro to get to the postcard side of Paris.

The hotel is easy to find and compact. My room was located in the front of the building facing inwards (not overlooking the road). Opposite the hotel their is a bar which is very loud on Friday and Saturday but from my room you could not hear a thing. The room was fantastic. The […] bathroom had a tiled floor which was cold on my feet but that is the only fault I could find (recommend bringing flip flop/ slippers). The hotel was very reasonable and suited me fine. The lift to get to the room is very compact but be sensible when deciding how many bags to take. The area is not the nicest - people are friendly enough but would not recommend hanging around. The hotel is right on top of the metro station so you can literally go straight to the hotel within a minute. This is an ideal location for students or a cheap weekend break, but probably not the best for a romantic break. I've read about Paris hotels so I wasn't surprised, however, I wasn't happy either. My room had paint pealing off the ceiling the bathroom, a stain on my all white comforter, and a booger on the wall near the bed. I guess a previous guest was too lazy to get up and get tissue. I am not one of those people that needs the moon and stars when I'm traveling, especially from a hotel. For the most part we dont spend much time in our hotel when we're traveling. So this is coming from a person who only needs the bare minimal. Do Not Stay In This Hotel. To begin, the hotel service didn't clean my room one day. Imagine coming back […] from viewing the most beautiful things that Paris has to offer, to a room that has not been cleaned at all.. Now I do want to mention that when they do clean your rooms, and I use that term loosely, it's far from what should be done. After a few days I started to become convinced that they didn't change your towels, that they just refolded them and hung them up. Now for a person staying here for 10 days that is not appropriate. So I did a little test that let me know afterwards that they were not changing the towels daily. Secondly, They were slacking so bad that they allowed me to run out of toliet paper. Yes! That's exactly what I want to do, go downstairs to the front desk and have to request more toliet paper. Then upon checking out the guy at the desk had no idea what he was doing. I handed over my key expecting to be able to head out as I paid fully in advance. He tells me he's not sure whether or not I've paid. You have got to be kidding me! Not even going to go on a tangent about how tiny the rooms were. Now I get it, in Europe they just do things a little smaller then we do over here in the States, and I can handle that. But this room, was the smallest thing I've ever seen. Literally you can't move the desk chair because it pushes up against the bed. The bathroom door doesn't fully open because it hits the night stand. Oh and their wanna be view, really? No matter which room you stay in you do not get some amazing view that they try and sell in their hotel description. Like I said, I don't need much, but this hotel is a disaster even for the cheap price. So I suggest tacking on 10 Euro extra a night and staying a Mehr

Staff were great, very accomodating and helpfull. Some rooms in need of a slight referb in places. Great location, near to metro and shops. We were looking an easy accessible hotel by car. Hotel Iliade Paris has a parking garage nearby. For 26 € we could park our big stationwagon for 24h. Besides that, it was only a 20 min walk to the Sacre Coeur! Our room looked overall very neat and clean. The bedlinen felt wonderfull and was supercrisp and clean. We had an ambilight tv in our room. The […] only minor points were some undiscribable spots in the carpet (but they were in the corner of the room) and the supersmall elevator to the 7th floor (but honestly, I found it rather cute). Very happy with my room, great sized bed and very comfortable! One of the lights wasn't working and shower is a little small and some stains on the walls but nothing major! The two different ladies at the front desk were outstanding - great customer service and always said "Bonjour" when I came in and out of the hotel! The best part of this hotel were the staff. They really went out of their way to help us in any situation. On the last day I needed a cab to the train station and the woman persisted for 20 minutes until she found me one. This is VERY close to the Metro station which is another huge plus. Chose hotel as it was right next to where I had meetings. Also only 50m from the metro (Porte de Clignancourt) and although at the end of the line, it doesn't matter that much as you'll need to use the metro if you want to see many of the sights. Yes, the room was small and tired with little in the way of facilities (no internet) but that isn't unusual […] in Paris and this was one of the cheapest you'll find, so no complaints. Surrounding area maybe not the best but plenty bars and cafes and a short walk along to Montmartre. We were looking for a cheap hotel because all we needed it for was to sleep after a long day and night out in Paris. It's a bit outside the center (about 25 minutes by metro to get to St Germain area), but it was a really good price so we went with it. Overall, we were satisfied with the experience. The 18th arrondisement is a "colorful" area of Paris. Seasoned travelers who are looking for a good rate will find the Iliade to be most adequate. I don't tend to write reviews, but i want to acknowledge their great front desk person. We were there for 9 nine days; she was very helpful, polite and professional (not just with us - I overheard a phone […] conversation as she helped a guest discuss lost luggage options with the airline). When we asked, she found us another room as soon as one opened up (with the heat this summer, we had to open the window and the street noise was a bit much). It's very convenient to a Metro stop, and a McDonald's with free wifi. The one down side was no wifi in the hotel, and their guest computer was out of service. My mother and I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights. Although the quality was somewhat decent in comparison to the price, the neighborhood the hotel resides in is horrible. It's a very bad area of the city and I felt very uncomfortable and almost scared for my life. It reminded me of North St. Louis. We chose this hotel for the convenience of the metro and easy access to public transportation. The metro is just down the street, but had I known what type of area we would be staying in, I would not have booked. As far as the hotel itself, the staff were very friendly and were willing to answer any of our questions. There is no wifi at the hotel, so you have to use the wifi from the McDonald's down the street, however, I was too afraid of the area to stay out anytime past dark. There is a bar/club directly across the hotel and late at night there's music blaring and people shouting and hollering, so sleeping was an issue at times. The hotel itself was clean, as well as our room, however they were very small. There was no air conditioning, so we had the fan running every night but it still did not cool us down very much. The elevator says it can fit 3 people, but with luggage, it only fits 1. It is a very tight squeeze. Breakfast is not included and we never chose to stay for it, so I cannot comment on the food. All in all we had a place to stay, however, I would have been much happier closer to the city within the better areas of Paris. Mehr
