Schooner II Beach & Racquet Club - Myrtle Beach

The jets in the tub and the outlet for the dvd player dudnt work, but the cleaniness and friendly staff made up for it. Room was beautiful with a great view of the ocean. The hotel's location was perfect. Everything is in walking distance. Fully stocked kitchen with all appliances and utensils. Comfortable living area.

I really enjoyed my stay at Schooner II. The staff was very friendly, good price for your stay. The hotel is older and could use major updating especially the pool area. The cookwear is terrible the pots are so cheap you can't scramble an egg in them. Overall we had a good stay the rooms were cleaned daily. I will be visiting their again this summer […] for vacation, but I will be bringing my own cookwear. Mehr

Close to the convention center and all beach attractions/shopping. Significant amount of dining opportunities within walking distance. The Schooner offers a great experience at a reasonable cost. I will be staying at this hotel during future business and leisure trips.

Enjoyed the stay, the staff was great and the room was very spacious and clean. Walking distance to the boardwalk, I would highly recommend. Not children friendly, the pool is small.

The kitchen was a weird layout but satisfactory for the use we made of it. I had a car problem in that I parked in the sheltered parking area and water, dripping from the concrete roof ruined the finish of the car in a small area. I brought it to the attention of the staff who immediately tried to repair the damage and took steps to make sure that no […] other cars were damaged. Unfortunately the damage could not be repaired there and I had to drive home. The hotel admitted liability and I am in the process of getting quotes to send hotel for approval. Top marks to the staff for responding to my problem and for taking steps to protect other visitors. Mehr

Nice, slightly lacking in good management. Love the rooms and view though. Nice pool, hot tub, and beach access. Will return.

This hotel is nicely situated, close to downtown. We did not hear the traffic from the street.

The hotel location and price were great. However, there were several negatives that far outweigh those two positives. They include- a roach in the kitchen, no basic amenities such as lotion, maid service once a week, no extra towels, no extra tissue unless you visited the front desk, dated decor. Arrived and the electronoic lock on our hotel room door was broken. The maintenance man who was home was alerted and arrived instantly and fixed the lock. We specifically requested no room service and came back to find that housekeeping disregarded the message we carefully left at the front desk. Don't know why there was a mixup on such a simple request. […] The room, bed and pillows were very comfortable and room nicely decorated . It was nice being in a suite with a living room and a separate bedroom and it was very nice having a patio that faced the ocean. Dishes and silverwarwe and refrigerator and coffeemaker, toaster etc were provided which was real nice and the staff was supportive and pleasant. I would return and the price was right! Mehr

I liked the seperate rooms a lot. Very spacious and has a hot tub you can use 24 hours next door. Staff very polite and accommodating.

Great location, most of the staff was really nice. On the downside, if you want to check out past ten its a $40.00 charge, which negates most of the savings at this hotel. You could probably stay somewhere a bit nicer with at least an 11 am checkout for the same price.

We had more room than we needed but very nice place to stay. Would stay there again.

We had a delightful stay. It was very close to the Convention Center where we attended a two day gospel singing program. Also it was near fudrucker's where we enjoy eating.

This is our second year to stay at the Schooner II and we were just as pleased this year as last. We love the location - a balcony overlooking the beach, nearby shopping and plenty of restaurants. I go to a conference every fall with a female friend and we really like having separate bedrooms and separate bathrooms!!! We booked this hotel sight unseen....we were very pleasantly surprised. The hotel staff was wonderful, the condo was very nice and roomy! We had 2 teenagers with us and the location was awesome! The kitchens were very clean and updated as was the bedrooms. We will go back to the Schooner II many times. We loved it!!

My family stayed at the Schooner 11 Beach and Raquet Club last week, and we had a wonderful experience. I was a little concerned when I was quoted such a great price for a room with an ocean view, but when we got there I was thrilled. The room was very clean and had been decorated so nicely. We loved having a small kitchen with a dishwasher, and a living […] area to gather as a family. The convenience of walking out of the hotel and on to the beach was wonderful. This hotel is in the heart of Myrtle Beach and that is the best attribute of this property. The hotel pool and hot tub were under construction, thus woke to the sounds of construction and not the ocean. This is not the way I wanted to start out my day. My children wanted to go swimming, oh that is right it can not be used. After making breakfast the […] dishes are loaded into the dishwasher, it leaks all over the floor. So have your towels ready. The bathroom toilet gets plugged and the desk is called in the evening, then in the morning, then say something at the desk in the afternoon when we get back to the hotel. Almost 24 hours to get plumbing issues fixed. Of course the ice machine is also broke and under repair. So I left the desk know about the disappointment in our stay and we got a "sorry". Would only stay here again if I was back in college on spring break with my frat brothers. Not recommended, you can get much newer and nicer for same money. Oh and what is up with the mirrors on every wall. It is not a dance studio. Mehr

Did not expect the room to be so nice yes there was sand here and there as some wrote on their reviews but your right on the beach thats like saying why is the hot tub hot smh,but anyway this was a very comfortable place to stay very freindly staff nice view loved the fact that the kitchen had everything you needed to make your own meals (except food […] lol) and just relax. My new husband and I were very satisfied with this hotel. The pictures online just do not do it justice. When we got checked in our room more than exceded our expectations for our stay. The hotel staff were very friendly and the view from our room was amazing!

Rooms were well kept, and kitchen was well stocked with things to cook and eat with....will stay again

We enjoyed our stay at the Schooner II. Friendly staff. Parking somewhat limited. Hallways to room somewhat blah, but rooms were very nice.
