Got there at 9:30 and had to bang on the office door to get a response. All the lights were out even though i had paid up front and i called to advise of a late arrival. The grumpy attendant told me i was lucky i paid up front. The room had no heat.

Hotel was very short staffed. Room was non-smoking, but smelled very strongly of cigarette smoke. Good location, but don't think we would stay again.

The room was fine for a one night stay. The wireless Internet didn't work which was a pain. And there were 2 or 3 guys walking around outside talking for at least an hour after ten pm. I was in the end room so I felt surrounded and uncomfortable. The rooms are non smoking but there were many receptacles out front full of cigarette butts next to empty […] packs of beer cans. The only thing missing was a guest laundry. It is an older hotel with some updates. We like being able to park in front of our room and this motel is configured that way. It has large, beautifully landscaped grounds. Quiet even though near I-95.

The breakfast was disppointing, as the wafflemaker was non functional and there was no one on staff,so the constant beeping of the fax machine became annoying.

It is an older hotel but well maintained and very clean; worth it. Our room was long and narrow- kind of funny shape, but ok. Grounds are lovely and it has a small swimming pool and picnic grounds

Needs refreshing, furniture old but the room was clean. Was not smelling good at all in the room. The continental breakfast was awful. Well located about 20 minutes from York Beach an Kittery factory outlets. The rate was right for the quality. The clerk was nice to us.

Good basic lodging at a competitive price. They were short one horseshoe but we made the best of the nice yard and pool.

Booked this motel for three nights during the last weekend in June. The grounds are beautiful and check in was painless. Unfortunately the positive impression ended with our room. The sheets were dirty and the pillows had hairs on them from previous guests. Further the bathroom could have used a good scouring. Finally, the promised fridge was not in […] the room. In fairness, the desk clerk cheerfully changed out the linens when notified of the problem and a fridge was set up for us the next day, without us having to ask for it. The nagging impression of an unclean room could not be shaken however.. The old AC unit could not keep up with the summer heat and on the last two evenings the cleaning staff arrived the clean the room just as we were getting back from our day out. The desk clerk informed us that they were in the midst of some staff turnovers. While that could explain the issues, it was a very disappointing experience. While we wanted the rural New England tourist motel atmosphere, for the same, or less, money we could have found a chain motel with more amenities and cleaner brighter rooms. Mehr

While our stay was very short - only one night - it was just right for our needs. It was more of a "mom & pop" kind of place which is just what my husband and I like. The place did not look like the one on the internet. The air conditioners did not work and were so full of dust. The rooms were hot, dirty and stinky. The room was not clean, hair was all over the bathroom floor and shower. The sink was dirty. The fridge did not close and had to brace a chair against the door to keep it closed. It showed a pool, the […] pool was closed and we were told we could drive a half hour away to swim at their other one. I was so upset it ruined my whole trip, my husband had to fix things and even vacum out the air conditioner. I would not let my dog sleep there. I stayed here last year for the same event. My stay was very pleasant and I encouraged others to stay this year. While nothing was "horrible" it was not the relaxing stay I had before. I think they were in the middle of a large turnover in staff, because everyone person I went to for help/information said they had been there 2 weeks or less. I requested […] the room I had last year, but when I got there they had changed it because of some "construction crew". I had reason to believe that was not true(never saw any "crew"). I was told my room was the "best". Not so-while it had some new upgrades in the bathroom the lighting in the entire room was terrible, one light was burned out(request to repair was never followed up on). Everything was cramped due to the layout. My friends room was better but still very crowded. It seems the rooms are made for singles but they are trying to put doubles because they need it. I wanted a single room and the extra bed was no use to me. I would probably not stay here again next year unless I had no other options. The price was good so that was in their favor. Mehr

We were disappointed upon arrival to note that our room appeared to have not been thoroughly cleaned since the last guest. We were even more distressed on the 2nd evening to find that our room had not been serviced at all during the day! And' no' we had not left the Do Not Disturb sign on the door!

Not bad for an overnight stay in small-town New Hampshire. Staff was very friendly, rooms were clean, sheets and blankies were fresh. Right next to highway, which is convenient. Would definately recommend and/or stay again.

My husband and I had not had a vacation from our busy lives in two years, and we booked the Anchorage blind because my husband was familiar with the area of Rochester, NH. We were so pleased! The staff was courteous and friendly, the room was kept spotlessly clean daily and even fully booked, there was no noise from room to room, which means we slept […] very well. We really enjoyed our stay. The only negative thing we noticed is that the table was on one side of the room and the ONLY three prong electrical outlet was on the extreme other end of the room-- not very handy for the laptop.

What a nice litlle place to stay. The room was perfect, the staff very freindly and helpful, I couldn't have asked for more. The pool was very clean and on a hot muggy day, was very refreshing. Would definetely come back to this place.

Someone obviously cares about this motel. Very clean, well decorated. Bed may be uncomfortable for some (a bit hard). Nice breakfast in the morning with make-your-own waffles.

I am from the Cape Cod area and went to Rochester to visit my sister who had recently moved there. The motel was conveniently located to her new home. I was pleastanly surprised with Anchorage Inn. The grounds are beautiful, the staff friendly, the rooms, although small were clean and comfortable. The motel is also conveniently located to the Spaulding […] turnpike. This is a very pleasant little place. Staff was great and the room was clean and comfortable. There were small maintenance issues-leaking sink and the TV remote didn't work. Just put a towel on the floor and I don't really watch TV much so I just shut it off. I was only there one night so I didn't bother calling anyone. I am sure the pleasant staff […] would have taken care of it right away if I requested it. It is close to a busy road so with the windows open it was a bit noisy. This also didn't bother me, but might be a problem for others. I also had the end room which was closest to the road. I very much enjoyed my stay and will go back. Mehr

The stay was brief but pleasant as usual. The proprieter and staff were very nice and the free breakfast with Belgium waffles, cereals and muffins was something we enjoyed. The motel is convenient for travel, just off of the throughway.

I have stayed here more than 6 seperate times and have ALWAYS been pleased with the staff. It has been several months since I have stayed here, but they still knew who I was as i walked in the door. The road noise is minimal since the hotel is on a dead end road and is not very busy so not many "neighbors". The rooms are smaller than others I have stayed […] in, but for the price, who cares. My main reason for continuing to choose this hotel, is the courtesy of the staff. I definitely recommend this hotel for someone who wants great staff service and a quiet place to sleep. Mehr

Väldigt trevlig personal. De verkar ha ambitioner för hotellet och det blir säkert bättre och bättre hela tiden. Vi ankom efter stängningstid och de hade lagt fram nyckeln i ett kuvert utan att vi ens hade frågat efter det. Det hade varit ännu bättre om det stått på deras sida på hotels.com att de stängde kl 22. Fanns kyl och mikro och det var bra. […] Äldre AC-utrustning som förde lite mer oljud än vanligt. Rummet var ganska slitet och TV:n gammal, men allting fungerade. Läget är bra för ett motel. Nära ett mot men skyddat av en liten skogsdunge. Vi stannade här för att besöka Wolfeboro och den stora sjön nordväst. Välj en annan stad att bo i om du ska göra samma sak. resvägen var för lång. Mehr
