Hotel liegt (auto)verkehrsgünstig an einer Ausfallstraße von Arles nach Norden Zu allen interessanten Punkten, Camargue, Les Baux, Nimes, Avignon und Arles' Innenstadt kommt man recht schnell; für einen Fußmarsch in die Stadt ist es aber etwas weit und die Gegend zwischen dem Hotel und der Innenstadt scheint auch nicht unbedingt die Beste zu sein (zumindest optisch) Zimmer sind recht klein und nur das Nötigste ist vorhanden (Kleiner Schreibtisch + Stuhl, TV, Fön, Dusche und WC. Das WC ist vom eigentlichen Zimmer durch eine Schiebetür, die schon bessere Zeiten gesehen hat abgetrennt. Die Betten waren jedoch sauber und ordentlich. Alles in allem für ein paar Übernachtungen und als Basis für Ausflüge sowie für den Preis in Ordnung. Wenn man Urlaub im Hotel machen will aber sicher nicht das Richtige.

Gutes Übernachtungs-Hotel. Sehr zentrale Lage, dementsprechend ist natürlich der Straßenlärm. Aber: Nimes kann von hier zu Fuß erkundet werden. Wer mit dem Auto kommt: es ist etwas schwierig, einen Parkplatz zu finden. Im Hotel gibt es eine kleine Garage. Sehr freundliches und unaufdringliches Hotelpersonal.

Zu den Höhepunkten des historischen und eleganten Avignon zählen sicherlich die wunderschön erhaltene Stadtmauer, eine weitläufige mittelalterliche Festung sowie der monumentale Palais des Papes, der an die religiöse Bedeutung Avignons als Sitz der Päpste im 14. Jahrhundert erinnert. Die in einem bekannten Kinderlied verewigte mittelalterliche Brücke ist ebenfalls eine berühmte Sehenswürdigkeit, wenngleich heute nur noch vier der ursprünglich 22 Bögen erhalten geblieben sind. Darüber hinaus ist die Stadt bekannt für darstellende Kunst und ist Austragungsort eines spektakulären Sommerfestivals.

"Ausgezeichnete Basis für einen Avignon-Aufenthalt"
Wunderbares Stadt-Hotel in Avignon in; alle Sehenswürdigkeiten sind problemlos zu Fuß zu erreichen. Das Hotel selbst ist sauber, die Zimmer sind groß, und das Personal sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Very restful and agreeable ambiance. Only negative that when we booked breakfast was 10 and when we arrived it was 12 euros.

10 minutes walk from the palais du papes, 5 minutes from the railway station, 2 minutes from the TGV shuttle.Tourist information across the road. Staff very friendly. Room large and decorated in a modern style, I found the bed comfortable and a good power shower. Breakfast buffet decent by French standards. "Great spot"
The room was really large for a European hotel. It was clean, in a great location just inside the walled city, there was super easy valet parking. The only downside is that we couldn't leave our car in their parking lot for the full day after checking out, but this is probably to be expected

A great hotel in a fantastic location in one of the main streets of Avignon. Easily accessible to the central rail station (5 min walk) and right near the bus stop to the bus shuttle for the TGV station. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. This hotel is a short walk from the train station, the main square, is within the walled city and has some really nice staff that is very helpful (some marginal but the good ones overshadow the mediocre). "Bristol Hotel - easy walking distance for sites"
The location is great, the Bristol is an easy walk from the Avignon Centre train station and on the main road leading to the Papal Palais and site. It is short walk to the Tourist Office which is across the street. The room was quiet despite its location on one of the of the main streets into the city. The lobby is quite impressive with a sitting/reading room provided with newspapers, the room was spacious and pleasingly modern, very comfortable bed and pillows, and the staff was most courteous. "Excelent located hotel to see theancient city"
We had booked two rooms for the last 2 days of October 2010. The hotel was expensive as it seemed old, the rooms were not very clear and the AC of the one of the two rooms it was out of order, so the hotel assistant gave us a small heater. We could approach the parking area only if we were accompanied by a hotel assistant and that was inconvenient. The Bristol Hotel is right inside the medieval town walls and only two blocks from the train station. There are several restaurants on the same block, as well as many in the city square only six blocks away. Tourist Information is catty-corner to the Bristol.

We arrived during the busiest time of the year; July, and found the street life was busy and very active, all of of it making the neighborhood rather dirty with trash from the fliers put out by the actors and other street performers. But the hotel was juf fine for a 3star place? and our only shock was to learn onece we got there that car parking nearby […] was 1 euro per hour. The young woman at the front desk was very helpful at all times. We took to the streets to find our morning breakfasts. Mehr

"Needs improvement"
Good location, but I would not stay in this hotel again. It was OK for one night. You are on your own, no help with the luggage and the room was pretty bad. Definitely the worst hotel we stayed in during our two weeks traveling through the southern France.
"Good base for Provence"
Rooms were clean. Good location to the train station and just a short walk to the palace and other tourist sites. The breakfast was 11 euroes and it seemed a bit much until you price things in the area and given that it is a full buffet and you can eat as much as you want, it was worth it.

No real problems with the hotel - the room was basic, but clean. Staff were friendly. The location is very convenient for the centre of Avignon, the local train station and the bus stop for the shuttle to the TGV station. We didn't eat in the hotel as most of the local cafes a few minutes away offered breakfast at around half the price.

The hotel is located in the main street where you have many points of interest within walking distance. Even the local bus stop is just one block away and you can get to the other side of the river and visit other points of interest. Good location. A nearby bakery provided excellent pastries for breakfast. Breakfast was not included in the price of the hotel.

TGVバス発着駅から非常に近く、又観光地へも非常に近く便利。 部屋も清潔で、湯量も問題なく、また滞在したいと思える部屋だった。朝ごはんは12ユーロと少し高めではあるが、1度と思って食べたが、おいしかった。

Accueil super agréable : personnel très sympathique, très prévenant et très réactif. Malheureusement la literie (avec alèze plastifiée et ne tenant pas en place) et la vétusté des sanitaires ne me permettent pas de recommander cet hôtel pourtant très bien situé géographiquement.

"Lever ikke op til pris og foromtale"
Hotellet ligger godt, hvis man vil være i nærheden af begivenhedernes centrum i Avignon. Vi blev venligt modtaget - dog uden den store service. Værelset var lille og mørkt, og i badeværelset hørtes underlige gurglelyde fra afløbet, når man brugte toilet, håndvask eller brusebad. De annoncerede parkingspladser til 12 euro pr. døgn var optaget, fik vi […] at vide ved ankomsten - ups! Som helhed fremstår hotellet pænt, men der var for mange kiksere - ikke mindst prisen taget i betragtning. Mehr
