Needed a place to stay within a reasonable distance of Dartmouth graduation. Not surprisingly, the hotel rates everywhere were sky-high. The Baymont served the purpose of a night's sleep, albeit at a price 3x it's worth. Inquired about a slightly early (2pm vs 3pm) check in on day we arrived and got a non-accommodative response, so we had to kill time […] before checking in. The room looked a bit time-worn, television service was the most primitive seen in years with no local channels at all, window air conditioner had controls that required a pen to be pushed through holes in its broken touchpad, though it otherwise worked fine. Breakfast bar was pretty good. Overall it served the purpose but that's all. Mehr

The hotel served its purpose. it wasn't great or fancy. Had wallpaper pealing in the bathroom and toilet was loose and jossled when you sat. Internet wasn't speedy at all and breakfast was ok.. Now that said. It was a place to sleep at a decent rate and worked in a pinch for the trip.

We booked and got a no smoking room on the 4th floor but, especially the bathroom, smelled faintly like an old ashtray. I called the desk to register this to not be billed for smoking in the room. Very matter of fact she told me that the 3rd floor was the smoking floor and the smell drifted up. Probably should have asked for a lower floor but didn't. […] The ice machine is on the 3rd floor and was very unpleasant even for the few minutes to use. We have stayed in this hotel on a few occasions and during this recent stay it was decided that Baymont is just not acceptable anymore. The whole place is dingy and smells like an old bar--a mixture of smoke and not sure what exactly. The rooms are in disrepair. Our sink was cracked in half. Somebody had ripped the art from the wall leaving behind the […] mounting bits and some holes. At least the A/C unit worked. The breakfast is not very good and the attendant had turned of the TV sound in favor of some gospel radio station turned up loud enough so we could all be saved. The place in cheap but just not worth it if you want even a modicum of pleasant atmosphere. Previous stay left a similar impression. Mehr

Overpriced, for a shabby hotel in need of significant reburbishment. Very crowded breakfast area and small, cluttered lobby. Furnishings were threadbare and worn, and dingy. Not a good feeling at all for a "flag-hotel".

The room could have been maintained a bit cleaner wiith more attention to doing so. However,not bad and more importantly, the staff was very friendly and accommodating. We woud stay there again!

Rooms are a little small (desk so close to end of the bed you have to remove the chair to get in and out,etc). Building badly needs remodeling. Rooms were clean and staff was nice. I have stayed in this hotel twice in the last 6 months. The rooms are clean and comfortable although a bit cramped with too much furniture. However the entry, the lobby and the elevator are not well kept. When I first checked in they gave me a room that already had someone staying in it. The desk clerk was shocked and said she had no idea who was in […] that room as her system showed the room was empty. Also, I requested a 6am wake up call and they didn't call until 6:30am. Several times when I left the hotel (I was there for 3 nights) the desk clerk was standing right outside the door smoking so I had to walkt through a cloud ofsmoke in order to exit. While the hotel was fine in many ways, it will not be my first choice when I visit my children who are in school in the area. Mehr

Although a bit older, the hotel offered clean accomodations for our stay, and was centrally located to a number of things we wanted to do and see while in the VT/NH area during the leaf-peeping season.

It was DIRTY! The baseboards, the outlets, the hairdryer, the windows, just DIRTY! The lights didn't all work. Would NOT ever stay here!! Morning continental breakfast was only OK, if you like carbs, nothing but cheap food.

The staff were friendly and helpful, loved that we could have our dogs in the room with us and the pet rate was reasonable, although the room rate was expensive compared to other places I have stayed in NH. The room was a bit small and the decor was dated but the bed was very comfortable. Would I stay here again? Maybe.

I feel that the hotel was understaffed. They had bus loads of kids there for a cross country meet and the desks clerks were running themselves ragged because there was one one person there to check everyone in and then in the morning they were expected to check people out and supply the breakfast area at the same time. The staff were all really nice […] and none of them complained, but it was an obvious poor choice by management to not have another person with tons of people all checking in at once. In addition, I felt the breakfast area is really small given the number of rooms. Even after all the kids were gone, the next morning it was still jammed in the breakfast room. The room was clean, plenty of restaurants nearby, and breakfast offered a good variety if you could get at the food. Mehr

The room smelled like sour laundry which ruined the whole experience. The continental breakfast wasn't all that great either, the waffle was raw and the bagels were stale.

The room was fine...nothing out of the ordinary but it reeked of smoke. I thought I had reserved a non smoking room but it did not turn out that way. the TV power button had disappeared and the remote would not turn it on. On the plus side, we had to check out at 4:00 AM and breakfast was ready when we left.

I like the location. Quiet at night. It is convenient location if you want to see Vermont and New Hampshire.

Close to the St. Gaudens National Historic Site, the hotel had a more than adequate breakfast, and was reasonably priced.

The room was not bad-carpet could have used a deep cleaning though. The towels and sheets were very clean. Good location to the attractions we wanted to see and easy to get to. The hotel staff was pleasant, and the kids really enjoyed the continental breakfast.

Loved the popcorn available at atll times!! The cleaning staff did a superior job! The pool is very nice but too deep for little children, at both ends. The carpet is worn and needs replacement. The staff were very helpful and friendly. We greatly enjoyed our stay.

We stayed in this hotel just for the night. It was right next to a small airport, that I wouldn't have even known was there, if it weren't for the street name and signs. Our stay was pleasent. The breakfest was a nice feature that was more than expected. I would recommand this hotel.

The front desk staff spent more time outside with her friends than behind the desk. I came and left three times the first night of my stay and she and her friends were out front on a bench each time smoking butts. Other than that the hotel is what you would expect for the money.
