Hotel Villa Paradiso - Taormina

Wenige Meter zum hübschen Ortszentrum. Einmaliger Blick auf das Meer. Nur zu empfehlen. Das Zimmer war völlig in Ordnung.

Alles ist in Ordnung, bis auf drei Dinge: 1. Das Parken ist sehr unerfreulich. Drei eigene, nicht reservierbare Plätze sind lächerlich wenig und die angebotene Parkmöglichkeit in einer Autovermietung ist nur stundenweise geöffnet (schlecht, wenn die Ausflüge nicht hineinpassen). 2. Es gibt keine Minibar im Zimmer. 3. In der Hauptverkehrszeit gibt es […] ständig einen Stau auf dem Weg zum dem Hotel angeschlossenen beach club. Mehr

Das Hotel ist von der Ausstattung zwar etwas in die Jahre gekommen, es ist jedoch alles in einem saubern Zustand. Die Lage ist zentral-und der Stadtpark vor der Tür. Wunderschön ist das Restaurant /Frühstückraum im Obergeschoss mit Blick auf das Meer und dem Ätna. Das Frühstück ist für italienische Verhältnisse überdurchschnittlich - das Abendessen […] ist eher mittelmäßige Landküche mit viel Fetteinsatz .Der Service ist gut- Englisch wird verstanden - das Preisleistungsverhältnis stimmt - bis auf die überteuerten Internet Gebühren des Hotel WiFi. Die alte Villa ist hübsch und hat eine traumhafte Lage mit Blick auf Aetna und die Bucht von Taormina. Die Altstadt ist zu Fuss erreichbar. Einzig der angezeigte Strand ist nicht so wie man es erwartet. Mit Gratis-Bus in 15 Min. erreichbar aber nur zu wenigen Zeiten und an einem weit gelegenen Strand. Very cosy and nice place with friendly and charming staff :-) In a beautiful town (just keep off the main shopping street).

Very nice hotel, very friendly, and hotel was very clean. Buffet Breakfast was great. Hotel could use a uplift, but saying this, the hotel is still very clean and the location was very good. Would stay here again!!

My husband and I stayed here for two nights in December 2011. We had a top floor room with a balcony, offering excellent views of the ocean. The room was clean and comfortable (not modern, if that matters to you). The hotel's receptionist was friendly and even offered to help park our car, if help was needed (parking in free, but on-street). One can […] walk to everything, including the Greek Ruins in 10 minutes or so). There are plenty of options for food nearby. The only difficulty we had was that we were driving, using a GPS we brought with us from the USA (with Europe's maps loaded onto it). There was a glitch, where the GPS took us to a nearby town, directly below Taormina, instead. With this in mind, it was complicated finding our way to Taormina, but once in town, the way to the hotel was well marked. The receptionist said this is a common problem for those visiting from the USA with their own GPS. Have a back up map. That aside, the breakfast room has excellent views and the common rooms are great. I recommend this hotel and would stay here again. Mehr

We loved it here. The staff very friendly. Our room had a stunning view. All the facilities you could want. Breakfast in one of the most memorable rooms on the face of the planet.

We had a wonderful room at the hotel Paradiso and the location was very convenient to shops, restaurants and local attractions. The breakfast was wonderful and we really enjoyed the pre-fix dinner on our last night we stayed in the hotel. Thank you for a great place for our honeymoon.

This hotel is a 4* but it is in serious need of a refurbishment. The decor is old, tired and dull with too much old furniture. The air conditioning broke down on the hottest day of our holiday although we were offered a fan. I believe it is a 4* due to the location. The hotel is close to all resturants and tourist attractions etc It has wonderful views […] of Mount Etna from the breakfast/dining room and the free shuttle bus which takes you to the Paradse Beach Resort was a bonus. The only real problem that I had with this hotel is the lack of functioning air conditioning. I visited in August when it was extremely hot and not having AC made it quite uncomfortable to stay in.

The Air Conditioner in our room was very much appreciated. However we noted that the temperature setting did not correspond with the actual output.

Not sure it is a 4 stars hotel (North America standards) just something to consider, however, location wise and staff make up for the rest.

This was a really great hotel. Everything about it was excellent (price, staff, rooms, breakfast and location). The only thing it lacks is a pool on the premises. But the staff was so nice and well connected that one day they let me use a pool at a nearby hotel, because I did not feel like travelling to the beach that day.

A very centrally located hotel close to the pedestrianised Corso Umberto. Very welcoming and helpful English-speaking Reception staff. The Owner, English-speaking as well, had been born in the villa and had many stories of old Taormina. We were upgraded to a bedroom with an exciting view of Mt. Etna. The bedroom was very comfortable and with a rustic […] touch. It had a small sitting area as well as a balcony with a couple of chairs and small table which was a nice place to relax and watch people and stray cats. Breakfast was on the 6th floor inside a glass-covered verandah with superb views of Etna and the coastline. The cold buffet breakfast was good – juices, cereals, rolls, croissants, jams, fruit, hard-boiled eggs,cheese, crackers. The helpful waiter served hot drinks including cappuccino. Very clean hotel, all cold continental breakfast which was disappointing, parking is a nightmare but not the hotel's fault. Great location, cold AC which is important in July. Beautiful public gardens out front...awesome.

We had the most amazing view from our room, very friendly staff, beautiful location next to the park and 2 minutes walk to the town centre and we loved the beach club. We were so happy with our choice and will recommend this hotel to our friends.

Our stay at Hotel Villa Paradiso was truly wonderful. The old villa is so charming yet has all necessary amenities and then some. The staff is most helpful and accommodating. When we put in a request for an early wake-up call, they had a breakfast tray sent to us even without our asking. The lobby area is a wonderful place to relax and have a drink […] or snack. Our balcony, although small, overlooked the water and was a lovely place to retreat after a busy day. Thank you, Hotel Villa Paradiso, for making our stay in Taormina so memorable. Mehr

A Super Hotel with very friendly and helpful staff.

Boka juniorsvit, de har mycket fin vy mot Etna och havet.

L'hotel merita una ristrutturazione, in quanto assai vecchio. Mancanza totale di gusto nell'arredamento, oltre che tutto è assai vecchio. Spugne nel bagno di 5 colori (mai vista una cosa del genere). Lampade sui comodini e sul comò tutte differenti. Udibile qualsiasi minimo rumore del piano superiore o delle persone che transitavano sulle scale. ウンベルト通りにも近く、市民公園そばで食事&観光に大変便利な立地です。宿泊した部屋からの海とエトナ山の眺望も良好。朝食も充実しています。 宿泊した部屋には、ミニバー&冷蔵庫は付属していませんでした。

Valde just det hotellet efter alla fina recensioner - såååå besviken. Trött och lat personal, allt tar tid, måste köra i 20 minuter innan man kommer till hotellets pool och strand. Finns många andra hotell som åtminestone har en pool på plats. Ligger lite off andå inte lika centrallt som man tror. Men framförallt vill jag klaga på hotellets personal, […] de har blivit bortskrämda känns det. alltså inte rekomenderas. Mehr

Hyggelig , men noe rotete organisering , litt "hotel i særklasse" . Frokost noe begrenset og svarte til hva vi pleier få på 3 stjernes i Taormina. Plussen var beliggenheten ved byparken og Paradis Beach Club, Lidoen med strand og basseng som du får fri transport om du skaffet deg en skriftlig bekreftelse kvelden innen. Beach clubben har meget bra mat […] i en hyggelig - men også den litt rotete- resturang. Flertalet av betjeningen hyggelige. Mehr

Dette er ett suverent hotell hvis man vil akseptere at det ikke er helt nytt. Utrolig utsikt og flott beliggenhet. Utsikten mot havet og Etna er helt fantastisk på de rommene som har det. På 5. plan/6.etasje er det litt mindre rom, men større terrasser. Vær obs på at basseng og strand er en god kjøretur unna. Et hotel jeg kan anbefale. Hyggelig betjening, fantastisk utsikt mot Etna og sjøen fra rommet. Ekstra god service fra bartender i dagligstuen. Eget bibliotek. God strand.

I tillegg til selve hotellet og dets beliggenhet, legger man merke til at betjeningen var service minded uten å være pågående. At man også får både fjell og strand uten å betale ekstra for strand-stoler og transport til stranden er et stort pluss. Kommer helt sikkert tilbake.

Hotellet har en fantastisk beliggehed med en skøn udsigt og tæt ved centrum. P-forhold er problematiske, men personalet var meget hjælpsomme hermed. Hotellet kunne trænge til at blive istandsat, men der var pænt og rent. Roomservice på hotellet er alt for dyr !

L'albergo è carino anche se non lo posso definire 4 stelle, però le persone che ci lavorano sono adorabili, in special modo Stefania e Biagio!!!
