Die Anlage ist alt und heruntergekommen. Das Zimmer war klein und stickig. Eind Reinfall.

Everything was great, the beds, the cleanliness, etc. No complaints. The hotel was right on the border which is where I was venturing and it was a snap to get to. Staff was polite and helpful at any time of the day. Definitely recommending this place.

Not good. The day time clerk she needs to take some Customer Service classes or be reminded that she has a job thanks to people coming to stay at the hotel, because she has a bad attitude and acts like she's doing you a favor by checking you in. She even made some kind of smart remark about the rate I got, as if somehow I cheated and made up my own […] rate, when these are rates that her bosses decided to post. Then a couple of things were not working in the room and I even saw one roach go under the tv! Management Beware.. this hotel cannot afford to get any dumpier and be agravated by staff with unwelcoming attitude. Mehr

BEWARE - Hotel location is wrong, they provide you with a old location adress. it took us about 30 extra minutes of trying to find location of hotel. ALSO BEWARE HOTEL CHARGED 40.00 FOR DEPOSIT IN CASE OF ANY DAMANGES. WE HAD NO DAMANGE THEY OK OUR ROOM BUT DIDNT RETURN MY DEPOSIT !!!!!!!! Hotel doesnt look to be at first, but it is indeed a very good value, rooms have everything you would want when traveling on a budget or just looking for good old convenience and practical stuff, such as fridge, stove, microwave, ironing board and even good cable channels and wi-fi. Nice […] Gentleman with glasses who provided me with the Customer Service that you would expect in a 5-Star hotel..... when the hotel guests above me where being quite noisy. To make a long story short he basically handled the situation where all sides were happy and even followed up with a call to let me know how he had resolved the issue, I was VERY pleasantly surprised, because I figured I was stuck with a bad situation which was not the case all...thanks to the professional that was in charge, which was this nice gentleman. Goes to show that when people know how to run a hotel...it doesnt matter the price range! Mehr

Felt secure and was amazed how nice it was next too the Mexican border.

They charge me $40 for accidentals and i hasn't given a list of what those charges could be and i have not released that authorization from my credit card, still pending after 6 days. Great price for hotel but not worth if they have addttional charges, there is a hotel close by that does not have that addtional charge.

Noisy school children across the street in the morning, don't expect to sleep late. Room service is erratic.

the service and attentiveness of the nite clerk gentlemen whose name escapes me at the moment is to be congragulated and very much appreciated.

it is overall a nice little place close to border if you are headed that way and if u intend to party up in San Diego the trolley rolls down to the border really late as well.The rooms are actually quite nice and clean free wif free breakfast down the street from the outlet mall and some good eating as well and if you need to hit the beach its right […] down from imperial Beach the I5 and 805 to take you to other parts of Diego Mehr

It is not a family hotel, but if you are looking for a comfortable place to sleep near the border, this is the place

Across the board 5's from me, this being my second stay. Great rate, comfortable room, excellent bed, quiet, convenient (I love San Diego's mass transit system, and there is a bus stop across the street from the Travelodge). Desk personnel aren't helpful or knowledgeable.

Couldn't do better for under thirty bucks a night. Withing walking distance of the border, near banks, Dennys and anything else you would need. Even includes breakfast.

I don't like the hotel writing down the credit card security number (ccv), they don't need that information. As to the rooms, one building is good, the older building is bad. This was the cheapest hotel when searching San Diego, I wasn't expecting much.

I asked about available rooms and the service clerk told me i had to take the room he chose for me. That i had no choice of rooms. I knew for a fact that many rooms were available the parking lot was just about empty. I took the room given to me. Upon arriving the cleaning lady was polite and told me she would be done cleaning in about 10 minutes. She […] forgot to clean the Shower, it still had used soap bars and other items in it. To say the least I'll never stay there again and HIGHLY RECOMMEND that no one else does either. The Roadway Hotel down the street is 10 dllrs more and is 10 times better. Mehr

The location is quite close to the Las Americas Outlet Mall, rather close to a Denny's Restaurant, and within 3 to 8 minutes to the US-Mexico border depending on traffic. If one were to compare the 'older' rooms to the recent constructed rooms, the old rooms in the faded green all wood buildings show signs of wear and tear but are somewhat larger and […] have full kitchenettes. As for the new room or the old room, you probably cannot beat the price if shopping for a low budget motel/hotel. The Travelodge in San Ysidro has no cost WiFi, a plus if compared to Budget Inn, Motel 6, and a few others in Chula Vista. Unk. if Travelodge in Chula Vista has free WiFi. Mehr

I stay at this hotel often just for a night if I'm going into Tijunana. The location is convenient. Rooms in fairly good shape. The hotel is 1 - 2 stars at the max. Nothing spectacular but cannot expect much for the price. Staff is friendly. Dennys a block away which is nice. Would not recommend for families.

Location, Location, Location...This is about the only GREAT thing about this hotel. Everything else is average and the rooms were clean.

Ask for renovated rooms. They are excellent! Did not like the idea of having to give a $50.00 deposit as I had prepaid but I guess that may be necessary evil. Good people....excellent room in the redone areas!

The rooms are nice, the beds are very comfortable and I was pleasantly surprised with the free wifi and included kitchenette. I will come back here again and again.

We were happily surprised when we walked into our room. The outside said...you get what you paid for. The inside...wow, it's nice in here. The contemporary clean lines of the room lent a calming atmosphere. I like the fact that the pillows were fluffy and you didn't have to bend all the way over to use the sink (it was @ a nice height). There were 2 […] negatives...you can hear when someone is showering or flushing...and the TV is at default loud when you turn it on. Otherwise, it is great for a weekend stay. Mehr

Amazingly well equipped - refrigerator, microwave, 2-burner stove, hair dryer, iron w/board - wow! A little crowded but how else can you fit it all in? :-) Shower needs repair/replacement and blankets had smoke burns... Other than that - perfect for the price. -- Santa Barbarian girls

Walking distande from Las Americas Outlet, Dennys and a 7-Eleven. Rooms are not too big but they are sure very well supplied with coffe maker, microwave, hair dryier and they even hace a mini stove. It was great to stay there, specially for the low rates they have! I would stay there again for sure!

It was horrible!!!!! I would never recommend this place to ANYONE! rooms bad, location bad!

Stayed here so we could go to the cricket venue. worked out well, but kind of scary so close to the border

We got an awesome deal on this room, and once we checked in, we were impressed by the quality of the room. There was a tiny stove, microwave, and kitchen sink in addition to a standard bathroom and two beds. The room was pretty spacious, and there was a hairdryer and iron/ironing board. The windows could use replacing, but they have sturdy locks. There […] were only two flaws: first, I could literally see Mexico from my bed. There was a great view of the trailer park next door as well as the archway in Tijuana from our side of the building, and the occasional sound of border control helicopters. Also, the shower head needed to be replaced. The water pressure was fine, but it was starting to fall apart. I would definitely stay here again if I was looking for a decent room with a cheap price tag. Just be prepared to see "LAST US EXIT" on the freeway. Mehr

This hotel is ok for the price but dont expect anything special. The room is very small, and have a few basic things such as microwave and fridge, but was not as clean as I would have liked. I noticed a KFC bag under the bed which suggests housekeeping did not check or clean the room properly. Who knows how long it was there and what was inside? This […] was a bit disappointing. Secondly, the pool was nice and a good temperature, but when we asked for pool towels no-one came and we waited for 30 minutes before going back to the room very wet because we could not dry ourselves until we got back. This was very unprofessional service and very disappointing. Finally, I dont understand the purpose of a 40 dollar charge to the room after we have already pre-paid. Ok, they said that we would get it back, but they already had my credit card for any damages to the room and why do you need to charge for damages in advance. A simple waiver at the bottom of a registration form would have done. Overall, I actually would not recommend staying at this hotel. If you do, dont expect anything special and dont expect to close to san diego's tourist attractions because you wont be. Mehr

The cleaning ladies were awesome when we left in the morning we left a mess in the room. When we came back the room was picked up new sheets were put on everything was like when we first checked in.

by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed in my 70 years of living. The bedspreads should be burned and never used again. The refrigerator door was falling off. The bath tube surface was stained and dirty. This hotel should not be on Hotels.com at all.

the hotel looked cheesie and alot of the electrical circuits didn't work the stove didn't work alot of the plugs were not plugged in you had to plug them in to use them and then they didn't work. The door would stick and you had to force the door to open. Our stay was less than perfect the only thing we enjoyed were the employees. They were very friendly […] and willing to help. Mehr
