Bewertet von einem Hotels.com-Gast am 25. Feb. 2013Auch wenn mein Aufenthalt nur eine Nacht dauerte (EuroLeague-Fußballspiel), war ich sehr zufrieden. Kleines, aber recht ruhiges & sauberes Einzelzimmer. Auch das Hotel an sich liegt in einer eher ruhigen Seitenstraße, obwohl die viel befahrene Via Cavour gerade mal 20m entfernt ist. Da ich mit der Bahn anreiste, war mir die kurze Entfernung (ca. 10 Fußminuten) zum Hauptbahnhof Termini sehr wichtig. Mit dem Frühstück in einem etwas kleinen Raum (3 oder 4 Tische) bei gemütlichem Ambiente war ich ebenfalls zufrieden. Müsli, Joghurt, Ei, Schinken, Marmelade, Honig, Brötchen, Crossants ... dazu Saft & Cappuccino/Kaffee - reichhaltiger geht es für ein 2-Sterne-Hotel mit günstigem Preis wohl kaum noch. Das freundliche, junge Personal an der Rezeption (die Tag & Nacht besetzt ist, so dass man seinen Schlüssel abgeben kann) trug schließlich zu meinem guten Gesamteindruck bei. Der einzige Negativpunkt ist das nicht richtig schließbare Fenster (ließ sich bei Druck leicht öffnen), dafür konnte ich jedoch die Jealousiene außen zumachen und innen die Vorhänge zu ziehen.

Bewertet von einem Hotels.com-Gast am 25. Feb. 2013Ich war nur kurz hier zu Gast, was aber schon ausreichte, um die viel gepriesene Hilfsbereitschaft und Serviceorientierung zu erleben und spüren. Ich konnte bereits um 10 Uhr Einchecken, etwas arbeiten (WLAN zuverlässig), bevor ich zu meiner Abendveranstaltung ging. Am nächsten Morgen musste ich bereits 6 Uhr das Haus verlassen. Problemlos und Frühstück zum Selbernehmen (und EInpacken) gab es auch. "Feel at home!" hieß es am Ende des Herumführens beim Einchecken. Das war auch in der Tat der Fall!

Als ich die Bilder von den vielen schönen Zimmern und den Preis gesehen habe, war ich erst skeptisch, da es zu schön schien, um wahr zu sein. Die Vermieter haben uns dann am Tag der Anreise gleich angeschrieben und uns beim Finden der Pension und der Anreise Tips gegeben. Sie haben uns dann sogar einen Treffpunkt genannt und uns abgeholt. Als wir einmal ein Problem mit dem Schlüssel hatten, haben Sie uns auch sofort geholfen und waren innerhalb von zehn Minuten da. Die Wohnung ist ziemlich weit oben, man muss also einige Treppen hoch, dafür hat man von der schönen Terrasse einen super Blick! Der Rest des Apartments ist auch toll, Fernseher, Sofa, zwei Schlafzimmer mit Küche, in der man sich auch bedienen kann (Geschirr, Töpfe, Salz, Kaffee, Nudeln und Pesto). Das Bad ist ganz frisch renoviert und supersauber. Und man ist mitten in der Stadt! 5-10 Minuten zum Piazza Novana, 20 Minuten zu Fuß zum Colosseum und dem Forum Romanum, 10 Minuten zum Trevi-Brunnen. Alles in allem ein Glücksgriff!

Spanische Treppe - Trevi-Brunnen und Umgebung
Der größte und spektakulärste Brunnen Roms ist der Trevi-Brunnen (Fontana di Trevi). Er ist ein barockes Glanzstück und bildet mit seinen antiken Meeresgöttern und sprudelnden Wassermassen den Mittelpunkt einer kleinen Piazza. Der Brunnen erlangte in Fellinis Film "La Dolce Vita" Unsterblichkeit. Wer eine Münze hineinwirft, bewirkt damit dem Volksglauben nach seine sichere Rückkehr in die Ewige Stadt. Die drei Straßen, die von der Piazza abgehen, führen ins historische Zentrum und zum Quirinal, einem der ursprünglichen sieben Hügel.

Location is perfect for shopping and getting around. Metro is 2 minute walk and a fantastic way to move around the city. I've been going to Roma for years and metro it simple, fast, and very inexpensive compared to taxis trying o maneuver one way streets and pedestrians. The hotel has a lovely terrazzo on the top floor for breakfast and cocktails. Wifi […] service is fair to good. We have just had a wonderful three days at this hotel. The positives of the hotel was the location, 100 metres from the Spanish steps. Short walking distance to Trevi fountain, Pantheon, Colloseum and Plaza Navona. Lovely casual breakfast room and rooftop garden where you can sit and have drinks or breakfast. Also there is all day coffee in this area. […] Lovely place to sit instead of in your room. Twice daily service of rooms was great. The best asset of the hotel is their wonderful staff. It is a nice hotel but not exactly for me.when i first entered i was shocked there was no lobby and th hotel seemed old and out of fashion. Maybe this is because we stay in more modern hotels lately. They upgraded us so it was a big room and comfortable but the noise from outside was distracting. This hotel is great...location is about 15 steps from the Spanish Steps. Staff very helpful in arranging tours etc. I stayed in the main hotel and was placed in a small, yet charming room that faced the back of the hotel....nice and quiet....just what i was looking for. There is apparently an annex a few blocks away. Several guests were staying in the […] annex and commented about how beautiful and comfortable the annex rooms were.....i was given a choice, could have stayed in either place. The breakfast was great with many choices available. Take an opportunity to experience breakfast on the roof top......breathe in the ambiance and enjoy the Italian life style! I arrived to the hotel, in stead of getting the room in the hotel I was sent to some appartments 5 min by car , they told we don't have rooms anymore, and I paid as regular room, after a lot telephone call they told that they will give me a room in the hotel, when I came they told me that I need to go to another hotel in the middle of the night. To […] be short the service as bed, I will never come back to this hotel again and don't recomend it to anyone. The location of the hotel is very good, however what they did for me in the middle of the night was simply terrible, I travel each week to a lot of destinations, this is the first time in my life I see something like this. With Spanish Steps on left hand side of the building, the small cosy hotel is very convenience to travelers. Only 5 mins walk to Spagna metro station, with splendid tearooms nextdoor or next to spanish steps, also nice restaurants one block behind, as well as carrefour express just a couple blocks behind. The breakfast is great, nice view from roof […] restaurant. Strong hot water shower, warm room if visit during cold weather. "Many issues made it a poor experience..."
Here are the reasons for the star rating: - Our room was in the annex which was 3 blocks from the main hotel. This meant we had to walk to the main hotel or happy hour and to take advantage of the rooftop deck. The hotel did not inform us prior to our arrival that this would be the location of the room. - The annex smelled horribly of smoke and the […] smell was also noticeable in our room. - The shower height made it difficult for my husband to shower. - The air conditioner unit in the room was loud and disrupted our sleep. - The phone in the room did not work for contacting the main hotel. - Orange juice for continental breakfast was warm and food was sparse. "Great Hotel in Superb Location"
After 4 weeks in Italy , our final destination - Rome - brought us to The Inn at the Spanish Steps . We were given the warmest greeting and welcome of our trip - lovely lady at reception who could not do enough to help us . Although the hotel is a little tricky to find ( it is lost in the strip of shops that prestigiously occupy the street it is in […] ) - its location is superb. Just a short walk to the Spanish Steps - and if you love shopping - you are next door to every top brand label in one area you could possibly expect to find . The room we had was beautiful - clean , spacious and tastefully decorated . Be aware that the management may place you in a property further down the street from where you check in but this is no big issue as the other property gives you a secure apartment style living with your own keys to the front door , elevator up to the third flood and a beautifilly furnished foyer . "Difficult to get a good night's sleep"
Although this is in a desirable location, it was difficult to get a good night's sleep. The bed was extremely hard to sleep on. We expected a firmer bed in Europe, but the bed felt like we were sleeping on a slab of rock. The size of the room was extremely small for the price we paid. "You Can't Get Any Closer Than This"
This small hotel has the best location for designer shopping and closest to the Spanish Steps. They provide a very nice breakfast each morning. Our room was a superior double, small by American standars but a normal European. Nicely furnished, large bath and comfortable bedding. The staff were all terrific and always helpful. We will stay here again […] on our next visit. FYI: Our friends stayed in a superior triple which was about the same size room but without another bed for a third person. The Hotel, Inn at the Spanish Steps was beautiful. The hotel itself was beautifully furnished. Kept very clean. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. The breakfast was very good as was the afternoon buffet. The location of the hotel is perfect for visiting all the attractions in Rome. It was less than 1 minute to the Spanish Steps, surrounded by […] all the shops you could want. The Trevi fountain, Colleseum and Vatican City were all within walking distance. The Inn is smack in the middle of a fabulous neighborhood -- safe, charming, historic, fun, fasionable -- but the Inn is quiet and stately without being pretentious or dull. I stayed there with my 15-year-old, and both of us loved it. Breakfast is upstairs on the terrace overlooking Rome, with a satisfying array of food. I wish we had had 2 beds, but our double was very large with a firm mattress and fresh, quality sheets. All was tidy. The bathroom was generous and closet space adequate. Views were splendid. "Top location, great service, highly recommended"
Inn on the Spanish Steps was the third hotel we stayed in in Italy and far and away the best - though not by any means the most expensive. The location is absolutely prime, right next to the Spanish Steps and in the middle of the shopping district, with all the major sights within easy walking distance. Surprisingly gven the location it was not too […] noisy in the beautifully decorated room. The staff are extremely helpful and knowledgeable, and any issue or request was dealt with instantly. The rooftop bar where breakfast and a complimentary afternoon tea are served has a stunning view over the rooftops of Rome. All in all we had a lovely stay - particularly contrasted with the terrible service and substandard rooms experienced elsewhere in Italy - I would one hundred per cent recommend this hotel. The hotel (main building) is perfect located at the Spanish Steps and has a perfect rooftop deck / small living room "alike" lounge with on open lounge outside and a view to the Steps and Via dei Condotti below - just above the Prada store etc. Cosy and clean room. Breakfast and canapeer in the afternoon was fresh and tasteful. The staff is very helpful […] and polite. 妻と二人の個人旅行でローマ観光の拠点として４泊利用しました。ホテルはスペイン広場から５０ｍ位にありどこに行くにも非常に便利です。ただ目立つ看板がないため、初日にホテルがなかなか見つからず、結局住所の通り名と番地からやっと見つけました。部屋はちょっと狭めですが、個人的には不満となるような狭さではありません。朝6:30から利用できるビュッフェスタイルの朝食は毎日ほぼ同じメニューですが、生ハムやチーズの種類が豊富で食べ飽きることはなく、最上階のテラスでゆったりといただきました。このテラスは夕方から自由に利用可能で、街で買ったワインを持ち込むこともできます。 価格はホテルの設備等からは決して安いとは思えませんが、立地の良さから考えれば納得です。朝食後に散歩したまだ誰もいないスペイン広場はとてものどか […] でした。 MehrAuthentische Hotels.com-Gästebewertung

Hotel in ottima posizione, discretamente pulito ma assolutamente non rispondente ad un luxury hotel. Necessita infatti di manutenzione strutturale: ascensore piccolo e mal tenuto, stoffa alle pareti con segni di usura e muffa, pavimenti rovinati, rubinetteria del bagno usurata. Infine la sala colazione piccola e con tavoli bassi: più che una sala colazione, […] un salotto da conversazione di casa privata. Il tutto non certo rispondente ad un hotel a 4*! Stannade på det här hotellet ett par nätter i december för en minisemester. Läget är helt fenomenalt, och rummen är fina och rena. Frukosten som serveras är även den helt okej! Toppenläge som man får betala lite extra för men det är det värt. Vi hade ett mkt litet rum men det var alldeles ok ändå.
