Hotel Balear - Playa de Palma

Zum Glück spät Abends angereißt und früh morgens wieder ausgecheckt und das Hotel nur im Dunkeln gesehen. Das Gekko im Bad und das WLAN war noch das angenehmste....Die Erwarteungen waren ja nicht hoch, aber 3,5 Sterne??? ha,ha,ha

Dieses zentral und in Flughafennähe gelegene Hotel der 3-Sterne-Klasse ist von seiner Position her eigentlich zu empfehlen, allerdings hatte ich auch nicht so tolle Erfahrungen gemacht. Z.B. Ist Frühstück ab 7 Uhr erhältlich. wenn man um 6:58 Uhr bereits im Frühstücksraum steht wird man vom Personal schief angeschaut. Lt. Beschreibung ist auch jedes […] Zimmer mit Telefon ausgestattet? - Meines scheinbar nicht. Einige andere Zimmer des Hotels hatten einen Kühlschrank, meines leider nicht. Der im Zimmer befindliche Safe ist nur gegen Entgelt zu mieten und wenn man sich ein wenig engangiert kann man sogar Schaben fanden (Ja, ich konnte im 3. Stock eine Fangen), wobei das Hotel an sich einen sauberen Eindruck hinterlässt. War wohl eher eine Ausnahme. Bemerkenswert ist noch die Größe des Bades: Ich hatte kaum Platz mich im Bad aufzuhalten, gefühlte 0,5qm (ohne Duschfläche) schien mir das Bad groß. Internet ist zwar in jedem Zimmer (zumindest WLAN) vorhanden (Reichweite sehr begrenzt), nimmt man jedoch den Internetraum im EG in Anspruch muss man hierfür trotzdem zahlen. Alles in allem war ich trotzdem froh ein günstiges Hotel in zentraler Lage gefunden zu haben. Ich kann das Hotel auch weiterempfehlen, allerdings nur an Leute, die nicht Komfort-verwöhnt sind. Mehr

wir ( also ich und meine cousine) waren mit dem hotel im großen und ganzen sehr zufrieden... es war sauber und das frühstück war auch immer sehr gut und es gab eine große auswahl!!! für meinen geschmack hätte auch noch ein bisschen obst dabeisein können... aber sonst gibt es dabei nichts zu kritisieren!! die lage ist etwas abgelegen vom ganzen rummel... […] was für uns ein bisschen umständlich war... da wir quasi immer bei der party sein wollten... für leute die in ihrem urlaub aber auch ein bisschen zur ruhe kommen wollen aber sehr gut geeignet!!!! das personal war super super nett!!!!!!! Old unfurbished hotel with a superb location. 8-10 mins taxi to airport (~ 10 euro) . Bus #15 & 30 to/from Palma center 15mins. Locate at end of beach with easy access to food and stall. No view.

It's dated, dirty and smelly with small rooms and lacking facilities. The hotel location feels unsafe and unwelcoming. There are few facilites in the surrounding area, particularly at night. moved after complaining and then not advised that the second room was smoking, only discovered this when the smell overcame us, stunk. Nightclub outside has blue […] flashing light / generator on til 4am flashing directly into room humming noise of generatore even with doors/windows closed/extra sheets. By 4am we had not had sleep. advertised air condtioning in the room broken Left first thing next day Staff didn;t care. honestly the worst hotel we have come across. the location, was good because it only took 10 min. from the airport. Staff was very nice. Breakfast ok. Room cleaning was not bad, some of the blankets on the bed was not covered with sheets, we tried to tell the cleaning lady but she did not understand english.

We have stayed there for one week in october.That was just awful.There was no room in toilet,just a curtain.There is also a curtain in the shower,so where you`re in shower all the water comes in the bedroom.There is a caraoke bar opposite hotel whicj is working 10pm till 5 am,so you can hear all the music,laughing etc.Terrible!

I stayed at this hotel with my boyfriend during our 3 week stay in Spain. The hotel staff were really nice and very helpful, they helped suggest restaurants, and how to get around by bus. The hotel room was big and clean. We had 3 singles beds instead of a double, but it wasn't the end of the world because they offered to switch our room at the front […] desk. The only thing about the room that was uncomfortable were the beds, they could use new ones. The room had air conditioning, a fridge, a safe and wifi. It was in a great location, a 5 minute walk to the beach if not less, its near the bus stop that the bus from the air port drops you off, and the one that takes you into Palma. All in all it was a great and I recommend this hotel if you want to be near the beach, and in a great location. Mehr

Good hotel for the price and the location is not bad. Very close to the beach. There are shops and restaurants nearby. Overall its not a bad place just to unwind at the end of the day after siteseeing and being out in the sun.

Service was good, but the room was really old and from my point of view didn't meet standards of 3-star hotel. Nice thing was that there was air conditioning in the room and good breakfast.

This hotel was in a convenient but dirty location. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Downstairs of building was new and clean. Breakfast was decent. Rooms are in poor shape. Bed was a futon-like frame with two boards holding the mattress straight. Shower had little water pressure. You get one shampoo bottle and no soap with your room. Views […] are not worth looking out to so don't bother to request a room with a view or a balcony...you will see the ocean but will also get a view of the dirty buildings surrounding the area and neighboring impoverished peoples. I would highly suggest to get out of Palma if you cannot stay in a luxury hotel and go to the Northwest coast of the island. It is much more beautiful and clean. There are hostels in this area that are nicer than Hotel Balear. Waters near Palma are extremely polluted and there are many kids walking about. Waters on the north coast of the island are isolated and romantic and crystal clear blue! Mehr

Very convenient location for overnight stop on way to airport. Hotel is situated on a noisy main street. We had a side room overlooking a disco and were a bit concerned, but were not disturbed by noise from it though the flashing lights did penetrate the shutters and it took us some time to get to sleep. The room was very clean, the staff friendly and […] the addition of a fridge was very useful. The complimentary breakfast was excellent. As there was no pool, I would not stay for a holiday, but for a few nights stopover it was ideal and very good value for money. Mehr

The only complaint I had was that I asked for a non-smoking room and they gave me smoking. It smelled funky. I was too tired to go change and go through that process since I was only staying one night. Other than that, it was fine. Good breakfast too!

We had a nice stay there, good value for the price, kind staff.

It is located only at 200mts from the beach, plenty of bars, restaurants and shops. The bus from the airport stops at 20mts from the hotel. The breakfast offers a variety of continental food but also english, and american. The staff is very helpful. I strongly reccomend it

Very good location with about 100m to the sea and one of the longest beaches I´ve seen in my life. A supermarket is right around the corner with everything u need and Can Pastilla is comfortably cose to Palma (takes about 15 minutes with the bus). The included Breakfast was also quite good!

an exellent hotel, well appointed, very friendly and helpful staff. as for convience, 6 minutes from airport bus stop outside the hotel and 200 mts from restaurants and beach. viva hotel balear

I booked this hotel as it was close to the airport and easily accessable by taxi but be aware there is a minimum €12 charge from the airport. I thought I would avoid this on the way back but for some reason I was hit by a taxi supplement so finished up paying the same for my return - expensive for a 10 minute drive. I'll use the bus next time at €2. The […] hotel is a budget hotel and it does a good job at this. My room was on the side and was very basic but OK. Breakfast was good but repetitive. The hotel staff were friendly and helpfull. Location was good - only a short walk to the beach with good walks along dedicated footpaths along the coast. I enjoyed my stay. I would return. Its old, needs renovating. Noisy streets cant sleep at night. Dont stay here.

The hotel looks great as you walk into the reception but the rooms are very VERY outdated. The bedding is old (I slept in my sleeping bag!) and the decor is outdated. The toilets are awful - everytime you flushed a strange smell came through the pipes and polluted the room. Ours was a lads holiday so I wasn't expecting much - mainly a place to recover […] from a hangover. But this place wasn't even suitable for that so we just went out all day The hotel is however good for the beach which is within 50 metres. The breakfast is as expected in any hotel. This is a very nice very clean and friendly staffed hotel i would return and stay again if going to the island again. Spanish run hotel but they have no problem speaking english if you cant speak spanish.Just a few minutes from the airport and short bus ride to la palma over all i really enjoyed my stay

We stayed here for 4 nights, hotel is a typical Spanish hotel, we were given a choice of two rooms as it was quiet so we chose a large family room, breakfast was good, we were asked if we wanted bacon and eggs every morning which pleased my husband. Very nice hotel, right on the main street by bus stop. clean and tidy, friendly staff, nice breakfast and plenty of it. Central location, close to Beach. A good Experience.

The hotel is located on a main through road in Can Pastilla in front of the plaza and local church. The beach is just at the end of the road and is visible from the hotel. Check-in was excellant, room was ready very early. The hotel has a traditional feel and has charming features dotted around. Our room was very large with plenty of storage, we were […] on the third floor in a two bedroom suite. We had booked a king size bed online with two single beds for the kids. We were extremeley dissappointed to find four single beds in the room. As we were only there for one night we didn't complain. The first bedroom had the bathroom attached to it which was old and very small but perfectly clean and functional, towels were clean and crisp with complimentary shower gel and soap. The second bedroom had the balcony which overlooked the plaza, this room also had a fridge although we would have preferred a tv. No telephone in either room which i found strange. The road noise from the street was not too bad but there were a few yappy dogs which kept me awake for several hours. We asked for an early morning call to get us to the airport early, as there's no phone they said they would give us a knock at the door, this never happened, just as well i set my mobile to wake us. The staff make this hotel a wonderful experience! Breakfast is a must do! The hotel is close to the airport and less than 2 blocks from the beach. Though outside of central Palma the bus is easily navigated and once in the city center, it's very easy to walk everywhere. Definately worth the stay!

Staff were not as friendly as other reviews suggested. The description mentions a refurbishment happened in 2009 but I didn't see any evidence of this. Considering the price, eggs and bacon for breakfast was quite impressive. Very near a nice beach. Recommend renting bikes and cycling along the coast to Palma - lots of nice places to stop off.

netop hvad vi ønskede os - boede i gå-afstand til palma og el arenal - der var direkte udsigt til torvet og de lokales liv fra vores balkon - lidt støj fra gennemgående trafik - der er lyskryds lige ved indgang mange muligheder for at gå små ture til havn og langs strand og den ganske flotte gangsti til palma - med skøn udsigt til aftenens solnedgang […] - personalet i reception er megt venlige og hjælpsomme - vi kommer gerne igen Mehr

Passet ikke meg,for mye støy,fra gater,disco. Det var som og bo på en rundkjøring! Den vanlige spanjol er alltid hyggelig helt til det blir snakk om penger! Følte at omgivelsene var på kanten! Etter 4-5 dager ble min sykkel stjålet,fra balcongen 1.apr,kl.0300-0400.3 unge gutter som ble tatt etter min annmeldelse,dette var organisert! Stedet passer ikke […] for barnefamilier,heller ikke for de som ønsker ro! Det ble en dyr tur som i utgangspunket skulle være billig. Bruk heler en 10-15 euro mer pr.natt,da blir alt mye bedre. Både med frokost,og halvpensjon! Jeg har mine favoritt hotel på Palma de Mallorca!Selvsagt besøker jeg Mallorca på nytt,men da på et annet hotel!Syklen kostet rundt 60.000,den er borte, samt med den noe av meg! Jeg savner Deg! Hotelets eier var sur for jeg mente hotelets forsikring burde dekke en symbolsk sum,for deretter kreve summen tilbake av tyvene! Han mente hotelet var sikkert. trop vieux ca sent le renfermer, trop cher pour ce que c 'est

Vellykket i alle henseender. Værelse mod torvet er optimalt, Optimalt i alle henseender -og så til den pris. Værelse mod torvet anbefales.

Trevligt lite slitet familjehotell ca 7 km från Palma centrum. Området heter Can Pastilla. Nära både flygplatsen och stranden. Rummen ganska enkla och kala. Rent och snyggt dock. Hyfsad frukost ingår. Många restauranger längs med stranden. Cyklar och bilar går att hyra i närheten. Fri Wifi som dock är väldigt långsamt. Trevlig personal!

Petit hôtel, intéressant pour dormir. Assez loin de Palma (compter 40 minutes de Bus pour y arriver) Hôtel familiale avec accueil très chaleureux. Plage à 2 minutes de marche. Petit points négatif au niveau de l'isolation, on entend tout dans les couloirs ainsi que dans les chambres jouxtant la notre. Hôtel pas très récent.

L'accueil est très familiale . Le personnel est tout à fait à la hauteur. Le petit déjeuner est tout à fait correct. Seul petite remarque: l'accès à la salle à manger en sous sol pour des personnes à mobilité réduites peut être ammélioré

Vi är ett äldre par som besöker Mallorca 44 år efter vår bröllopsresa för att uppleva platsen en gång till! Vi mycket nöjda med hotel Balear. Det finns inget att direkt anmärka på, personalen var trevlig och uppmärksam samt frukosten fanns inget att anmärka på, så vår 4 dagars vistelse fungerade perfekt enligt vårt tycke. Mycket trevlig personal,läget bra ca 100m tll strande.5-10min till flygplatsen med bil.Bra bussförbindelse till Palma.Frukost OK,men det kunde varit lite mer frukt o grönsaker.Skulle gärna boka detta hotell igen.

Hotellet var meget enkelt. Litt slitt, litt lekk på badet etc. men meget hyggelig betjening og rent. Så hvis man ikke er opptatt av luksus og komfort er dette hotellet å anbefale. Ønsker du litt mer luksus er ikke dette hotellet å anbefale.
