Leistung/Preis stimmt! Wir sind für 5 Nächte da geblieben und es war sehr gut! Der Hotel, ein Altes saniertes Gebäude dass eine neue Renovierung verlangt, aber liebevoll gut gehalten. Die Lage war ganz gut, sehr nah vom Strand und in der Nähe des Dorfzentrums wo es sehr viele Einkaufs Möglichkeiten gibt! In die Gegend des Hotels, gab es sehr viele Hotels […] und Restaurants. Das Personal war immer freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Zimmer war sauber, frisch und von der Grösse gut, aber leider ohne Minibar (mit Kindern braucht man immer frisches Milch in der Nähe). Das Bad war klein aber ganz i.O. Was ich schade gefunden habe, ist dass der Schwimmbecken nicht so toll war… Immerhin das waren die entscheidungspunkte unserer Buchung, das Zimmer und der Pool. Der Pool war sauber, aber benötigt dringend eine Renovierung gleich wie die Garderoben und den Fitnesszimmer. Mehr

Lots of free parking in surrounding roads which was good as the car park to the hotel was full. Friendly staff on reception, although almost asked for payment, even though we'd paid online. Room was nice but bedding wasnt great. Nice bathroom and large room. Would stay again. Great location to beach and bic

The staff were very helpful and tried to sort out any problems we had. The hotel needs updating though we were told that some rooms had been modernised though ours had not. The location was brilliant - 2 mins from the cliff top walk and steps down to the beach and 7 mins walk into the top of the town. Nice, welcoming and helpful reception staff. Ideal location providing no problems walking up / down a hill to the town / beach! Only 10-15 min walk. Very comfortable night sleep and nice shower. Clean, and on the morning we popped the 'do not disturb' on the door, they kindly popped a note through saying we could get our room serviced later on if we […] wished, or they would leave supplies out side of our room! Didn't opt for the breakfast as was £8.50 each- we wandered into town and ate out instead for less. Would definitely recommend it. :) Mehr

Hotel and staff great but very small car park and if you check in late in afternoon you have very little chance of getting a car park on the hotel grounds We had to park 3 streets and a 15 minute walk away The local traffic wardens are very keen so keep all parking legal but overall a nice hotel and good value.

Our room was warm, in fact too warm, so much so that we could not sleep as we were unable to turn the radiator off. The next morning when we told them about this, someone came up right away and because they were unable to sort the problem out they transferred us to another room which meant we were actually upgraded. Good customer Service! The car park […] was a little small. One night we got the last space and because it was very tight we scratched our car. We enjoyed our stay and the hotel was very good value for the price. We had one evening meal there and the food was exceptional! The room was modern and clean and everything worked though the radiator wouldn't turn off, and the "free" wi-fi didn't work all weekend, which was a particular annoyance for us as we needed it during our stay. It was convenient […] for the town and though there are plenty of restaurants and pubs nearby, it was not noisy. We would stay there again. Mehr

Always amenable, professional and comfortable.

We were here for a STAG night and as such were presented with a request for £40 deposit per room in case of breakages or antics that upset other guests. All being the wrong side of 30, there were of course no problems. Nice bar, nice rooms, comfy bed, well priced. What more do you want!

This is a classic old Bournemouth hotel. I was there in January with my wife visiting our daughter at University. We got a decent rate, although it didn't include breakfast. The room was quite small but the bathroom was a good size and the bed was comfortable. Parking was a problem even in January as the hotel's own car park is tiny and was full. If […] you are going during a holiday period you need to figure out where you can park and how much it will cost you. I would say this hotel is well run and it delivers what you would expect for this type of place. Mehr

Lovely hotel, only spent one night here but was good value for money, room was clean and tidy, hotel facilities were great. Only a short walk to the beach and lovely walk into town through pretty gardens and along the coastline! Only problem was being wokem up at 4:30am by rowdy people coming back from nights out, to be expected yet very annoying!! Overall, […] a lovely stay at the hotel. Mehr

Would highly recommend this hotel. Had a free room upgrade for both rooms booked, the staff were incrediably helpful and friendly, especially offering extra coffee at 4am when our little one was up all night poorly! Overall, the whole family was very impressed and pleased with the accomodation, particularly good value for money.

an ideal base, central and comfortable, will do again !!

Stayed here on 14th January for one night, not too close to the town centre but a walkable distance. Very close to sea front. Clean and comfy, had a very large room and the bathroom was bigger then the one we have at home so was very nice. Would stay here again. :-)

My boyfriend and I stayed at The Durley Dean Hotel between the 26th and 29th of December 2011 We had a very enjoyable stay at the hotel and found our first room to be very nice. after a very small concern was brought to the attention of the reception team (so small it does not need to be mentioned) we were greeted by the hotel manager, within 20 minutes, […] with professionalism and courtesy and immediately upgraded straight away to a newly refurbished room, also a complimentary bottle of wine was placed in our room. The staff were all very happy and friendly and we got a feeling from the first moment that they would do anything to make our stay more comfortable. Many thanks to all the team and when we return to Bournemouth we will certainly stay at The Durley Dean again. Mehr

Stayed over New year period, I found the room very small, and not that clean. Internet expensive. Carpark small, so get there early or park on the road. Would recommend this hotel on Location.

Had a great post-Christmas stay at Durley Dean Hotel. The location was great (walking distance to town and the beach). The breakfast was lovely and the swimming pool was the hottest pool we've ever been in (like a jacuzzi bath!!) Staff were all very helpful and friendly. Will definitely return if staying in the area again.

Excellent short break in Bournemouth using the Durley Dean as a base. Parking situated around the corner was readily available , rooms large and well equipped for 2 adults and 1 child , breakfast was plentiful and of a good standard , would use again.

The hotel is well maintained, clean and pleasantly decorated. The staff were pleasant and helpful, although their numbers were few. The front of house staff look after both the reception and bar area which sometimes created a delay. There was a party of twelve of us which gave us an idea of the variety of room sizes and layouts. Our room was quite small, […] but was more than adequate for our needs. One of our party however did request a room change and was satisfied with their new room. We ate dinner in the restaurant one evening, it was good quality food at a fair price. Easy walking to the beach and the town. Overall a successful short break. Mehr

I would recommend staying at the Durley Dean hotel,both me and my partner enjoyed our stay there,the staff were very frendly. we only went for the weekend,it was lovely to get away for a while,it was our very first weekend away together and we were both delighted at picking durley dean,its in a nice location,close to the beach,there was so much there […] to view and visit. the beach is about a 20 min walk from the hotel,theres the pier and restuarants of every ones choice,however there were so many hills up and down to the beach,hotel and town,even people driving round seemed to struggle,i suggest that if you do decide to venture out,take a good pair of shoes with you. Hotel well situated to the town. The rooms well appoited with very comfortable and ample useful furniture

The hotel is situated in a lovely area and we were pleasantly surprised when we arrived there; it had old world charm! Our room and en-suite bathroom were both clean and comfortably furnished. The staff were polite and helpful and we enjoyed our stay at the hotel.

we enjoyed our stay at the hotel. we initailly booked for the unrefurbished room, it was ok but had a smell, the friendly receptionist said the carpet had just been shampood, she changed it to another room, but having seen the executive room, which was very good. i had to pay more, overall i will recommend it. but the floor boards were are noisy and […] creepy. Good location for Bournemouth centre, and a convenient hotel for the surrounding area. Initial check in was poor as 'boring' ex hotelier wanted reception to know all about his checkered history, and we had to wait whilst he recounted - a little training in assertiveness may have helped reception, and improved our experience. All the staff were very friendly and helpful - the restaurant staff in particular were very hard-working and attentive, even when the restaurant was very busy. At breakfast, food supplies were replenished immediately they ran out. Excellent food. The large number of language students staying at the hotel meant that the bar area was sometimes full of […] students who were not buying any drinks, leaving little space for the other guests who wanted to sit and have a drink. A separate social area for the students would have been useful for them too! Our bedroom was quite small but comfortable. Bathroom would have benefitted from power shower as water pressure was poor. Also, a non-slip mat in the bath would have been useful as the safety handle was not ideally positioned to be of benefit to prevent slipping.Smaller furniture in bedroom would have allowed more room e.g. for bedside table on each side of bed with more drawer space rather than just one. Lovely Hotel, but £12.50 for breakfast is far too much money. We walked into the town and had a full English Breakfast with Tea and Toast for £5.00!

very nice hotel, restaurant has excellent food, booking advisable..room clean but a bit on the small size. My only dissapointment with this hotel was they had a large group of italian students staying who where very noisy and rude. Very friendly welcome; the staff was always obliging and polite; service was quick and efficient. Accommodation was very clean and comfortable; while good food and drinks were well catered. Would recommend to friends and would stay here again. Short walk to both the town centre and the beach; though there are hills to negotiate.

Had a great few day away here! Hotel staff were so friendly and helpful all throughout our stay.The location is great for the beach and even very close to the town centre but coming back from town or the beach is very hilly. Room was modern and large with plenty of tea and coffee and a small but lovely bathroom. Only issues were breakfast was badly […] cooked and people fighting over the last 3 tea bags. Also duvet was very very lumpy and pillows slightly lumpy. However these would not put me off going back and will be visiting again soon! Mehr

My friend and I stayed at the hotel for 3 nights. We were very pleasantly surprised by the standard of this hotel for the price paid. The room we stayed in was modern and decorated to a good standard. A complimentary tray with tea/coffee and biscuits was provided as well as small complimentary shower gels. The bed was very comfortable, although the […] pillow needed to be thrown away-it was incredibly lumpy. Other than that we had a comfortable stay. we opted for breakfast one morning and stocked up on the cereals, pastries, fruit and cooked options. Nothing outstanding, but all you need to keep you satisfied til lunch. The coffee machine gives a variety of options and was surprisingly nice. Staff overall are very attentive and reception were especially very friendly and helpful, printing off vouchers for surrounding restaurants. The hotel is about a 10 minute slow walk to town along the main room, or the walk along the beach takes a little longer given the steps down. All in all a good base, value for money. Good value for the room we had, spacious and clean. Not refurbed rooms have certain oldness only dislike was the slanted ceilings-like a loft roof, I always seem to walk into them! Lovely indoor pool great for my son. Shops, pub, restaurants, beach all close by.

Stayed in an unrefurbished room. Clean but tired room with creaky floor. Perfectly adequate for overnight stay. Overall hotel has a good position for the beach & town - just a short walk along the cliff top and the refurbishment of the rest of the hotel is very good.

Spacious rooms and very friendly, accommodating staff. I very much enjoyed my stay there and it was great value for money.

24 parking spaces so never enough room. Advise you to park on the street - the street is also full of cars from the local area. Room was VERY small and very noisy (fan sounds, music until 2am, drunks in the street etc). Staff not interested in problems!

The hotel was beautiful lovely comfy room and nice food but we endured two sleepless nights due to loud parties in the function room directly below our room. Nobody had warned us about this when my son and i checked in and it was quite unacceptable. Though we were offered a move to another room at 11 pm on the third night but we were in bed in our pyjamas […] and were checking out in the morning. And the hotel was half empty. Our friend was in a room well away from the noise on the 2nd floor and slept well all nights. My son and i felt exhausted for the duration. I am not happy about this at all and would encourage anyone thinking of staying here to avoid room 155 at all costs. Mehr

Relatively cheap and cheerful, staff very good. Able to cater for Nut allergies. Not impressed with swimming pool, clean but changing rooms damp and no towels provided. Pool very small and not at all appealing. Photo accurate but not so nice in reality
