This was a pleasant surprise. The hotel is older, but was clean with very comfortable beds,newer tv, refrig, coffeemaker and microwave. Michael at the front desk was very helpful with directions. My only complaint, and this is a pet peeve of mine. The bed pillows smelled like dirty scalp despite the clean pillowcases. We recently had to stay near Shriner's Hospital for our Grandson's surgery. The Hospitality Inn staff was friendly, kind and helpful at every turn. The rooms were not fancy or updated in style but they were spacious, comfortable and quiet. Being close to Starbucks, Mcdonalds and Roundtable Pizza was great for us since our schedule was uncertain. Being […] close to the freeway and a main street was very helpful in shopping for needed items. Getting to the hospital was a snap, making one less thing to stress over. Room was spacious and clean. Front desk very friendly and helpful. There was some construction outside our room i the early morning, but i don;t think that had anything to do with the hotel itself - just our bad luck. Bedding a little thin.

Great location. Nice Beds.

Quiet & clean. Friendly staff. very comfortable bed. Great waffles at breakfast. Very limited parking for oversized vehicles.

Very spacious and clean room. Plenty of towels and hot water in shower. Front desk staff was helpful in making air plane connections. The free breakfast spread was ample and filling. With it's location by main roads it is an ideal location for SW Portland, only minutes back to downtown. I would like the staff to make more obvious the internet connection […] materials. My room had been recently updated/remodeled and was in very good condition. The bed was a new pillowtop -- very comfortable. Desk, loveseat, refrigerator and microwave. The wireless signal in my room was weak but usable. I flew in to Portland and was using public transportation and this hotel is on a bus line which was important to me. This hotel was a great value...I was a bit skeptical given the low price, but completely exceeded my expectations. It's been recently updated, rooms are clean, very comfortable mattresses, free continental breakfast, spa, on-site laundry machines as well as a laundry service, fridges and microwaves in the room, and they have fresh baked cookies when […] you check in. Reasonably quiet rooms. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Don't come here expecting the Hyatt or anything, but for the price, this place was great. I think what makes it a 5/5 place is the value of what you get for their very reasonable rates. I think what completely got me was the fact that not only do they have waffles for their continental breakfast, they actually have PEANUT BUTTER to put on the waffles. I don't know how many places I've gone to that have these delicious hot waffles you make yourself out of the machine, and all you have to put on them is crappy fake syrup and butter. The only downside is the location. If you want to be really close to downtown Portland, this may not be ideal. It's about 14 minutes to the city by car and the freeway is close, or about 25 minutes on public transportation, so it's reasonably near, but not right in the middle of things. It's not near any sort of quaint district or anything, but it's adjacent to a little shopping center with a few restaurants and the basic convenience shops. The hotel is well secured, and the neighborhood seems perfectly safe. Did I mention they have peanut butter for the waffles??!! Mehr

The staff is very friendly and eager to accommodate. I am planning to visit the area again in October and stay for a third time at Hospitality Inn.

My daughter thought the neighborhood was scary, but I liked the closeness of McDonald's. Also, down the road is the Original Pancake House which does breakfast magnificently.

A good nights stay. Friendly staff, not too expensive, a little breakfast and a starbucks next door and right off freeway

Room was clean, bed was comfortable. Only complaint: The hallways reeked of cigarette smoke (and I'm a smoker...). We have a small dog (18 lbs)...pet fee was only $10, very reasonable, would stay there again.

My sister and I liked our 2 night stay at Hospitality Inn. My parents were a bit worried because they have never heard of this hotel. They feared for our safety. On the contrary, the people we met at this inn seemed friendly. Our room was clean. We felt comfortable. Also, their location is very convenient. Beside the inn there's Starbucks, then McDonald's […] and behind them a Japanese Restaurant. And, across from them a gas station. Plus, they are located 10 minutes away from downtown Portland Oregon and 30 minutes away from the Woodburn Outlet. The next time I go back to Oregon, I would definitely stay at this inn again. Mehr

Easy I-5 access. Centrally located for shopping. Much less expensive than downtown hotels. Courteous desk staff. Somewhat run down halls that are also quite warm. Breakfast is OK. Don't look for healthy whole wheat, low fat yogurt options but there is fresh fruit and hot cereal. The coffee was downright scary but Starbucks is next door. The selection […] of tea bags was good for breakfast. Most importantly, the room was super clean. An A+ in terms of cleanliness. No issues whatsoever. Air conditioning unit worked fine. Great beds. If you're looking for a place to sleep, this is OK, but it is nothing special. They advertise that there are restaurants in the area -- there are -- all fast food. The wireless network until about midnight I went to the desk and got a cable hookup. If I were to return to Portland, I'd look for something more convenient and a little bit more upscale […] . Mehr

The young man at the desk was very helpful and friendly. The rest of the staff were friendly. The beds were comfortable. Our room was clean. The breakfast was okay - nothing great. The coffee was terrible. I definately would return and stay here again. Good location.

The hotel is very clean... it is slightly basic, but has everything you need. there are several places to dine and a grocery store,,,, easy access to highway. the only thing it was missing was biscuits and gravy with sausage bits for the contenital breakfast.

This was my first time stay. I found people gave a good comment 8.8 point, It is pretty high compare to the hotel around this price. So I decided to try it. It is a clean and friendly hotel. Pros: inexpensive, clean, gracious staff w/infectious smiles, convenient suburban location, and a decent motel breakfast. Starbucks next door. Cons: The place was very clean, but is showing it's age (e.g., threadbare linens, worn floor tiles, etc.). We travel w/a little dog, and---amazingly---we were not assigned the obligatory, stinky pet room. A […] fantastic value for budget travelers who value cleanliness. The price was great and the service was great. No complaints here (the complimentary breakfast was (good as well).

Our room was clen and comfortable. The room was spacious and had a love-seat so we didn't have to sit on the bed. The McDonald's right next door was very convenient. The bedspread had a few cigarette burn holes and the furniture showed a little wear, but overall the room was clean and in good condition. Great hot tub and breakfast.

We have relatives in Mutlnomah Village and this hotel is clean and handy at a reasonable price. It would be nice if there were more/thicker towels. Everything was okay for our needs.

Hotel employees were very nice Easy access to I-5 and Barbur Blvd. Early check-in was allowed...very nice! Negatives: No wi-fi and the cable they give you is too short to sit anywhere but at the table, which is too high to comfortably use for a computer. Continental breakfast is mostly carbs- breads, cereal and waffles - very little healthy options. […] Coffee in room and at breakfast extremely weak. (good thing there is a coffee shop within walking distance!) Movie rentals are outdated and available in VHS and cost more than running down to Redbox. Mehr

Good value for the price. room was clean and comfortable. Towels were a bit threadbare and could stand updating.

The Hospitality Inn in Portland was a nice, family owned hotel with good rates. Although it was not new it was well kept up, the beds were very comfortable, and the front desk staff were very welcoming and efficient. They went above and beyond to make sure we knew where we were going and had a good stay, and were very friendly to the small children […] who were in the lobby at the time. There were kids' videos to watch and fresh cookies as well as a pool and spa. A good deal! Mehr

I have stayed at the Hospitality Inn for the past three years as I attended a conference nearby. It is clean and the desk staff are very helpful and nice. All in all, it is a comfortable hotel in a good location for a good price. The bus line goes right past it which is ideal. The staff at this hotel were exceptionally nice and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. The price was perfect. We will use this motel again when traveling to OHSU, it was very convenient.

The desk clerks were wonderful and tolerant. My 3 year old grandson thought it was fun to stay in this house while our house was broken(it is 300 miles away). They had inexpensive age appropriate videos to rent which made his experience fun. The room was inviting and restful after an arduous journey. The brand new pillow top mattresses were very comfy. […] Vending machines had reasonably priced snacks. They offered a continental breakfast that had a good selection of foods and was very convenient. A gourmet coffee house one block away was a nice treat. Thank you for the Hospitality! Mehr

I have stayed at the Hospitality Inn twice now while attending a conference at PCC Sylvania. It is an excellent location, and a very good price for the area. The hotel is right next to an excellent sushi restaurant and a Starbucks, not to mention a McDonald's for those who prefer quick and cheap. In addition, it is only ten minutes by bus to Multnomah […] Village where there is shopping, several restaurants and pubs, and a market. It is on the #44 bus line which goes through downtown Portland, and has a stop about a five minute walk from the train station. Mehr

A little bit away from the center of Portland, but actually quite reachable considering that the drive is really not that far. The rooms were adequate and most of the guests were accommodating in terms of noise. My only concern was that the hallways were absolutely hot! Hotel staff was great - even helped us Google for shopping locations. Excellent breakfast with self-serve waffles, cereal, bagels, etc. Room included refrigerator and microwave. Would definitely stay there again!

Staff was very helpful and accomodating.Room was spacious and clean. Breakfast not the greatest but several alternatives are close by. All in all, a great experience.

The hotel was very reasonable, clean and cared for. The breakfast bar had a good selection of breads, although on the two mornings we were there, there was some difficulty with the beverage dispensers. It was a good value. There is a Starbucks and McDonalds next door.

The staff was excellent: friendly and accomodating. The room was great.
