Grand Hotel Villa Fiorio - Grottaferrata

Wenn das Bad nicht aus den 50er-Jahren stammen würde und auch die Teppiche gesaugt würden, wäre das Hotel in vollen Umfang zu empfehlen. Das Frühstück können wir nicht beurteilen, da wir schon sehr früh weiter reisten.

This hotel was once a huge manor home. The grounds are beautiful and it would make a lovely venue for a summer wedding with its grand ballroom leading out to the manicured garden. Breakfast was a usual buffet of pastries, cereals, ham, cheese, cookies, fruit, juices, coffee and tea all served in the grand ballroom. This hotel does NOT have an elevator […] and our room was the only room on the top floor. That's 58 steps up and 58 steps down and no one offered us any help with our bags! So I suggest that you request a room on a lower floor. The best thing about that top room was the breathtaking, panoramic view from the window, especially at night! Fabulous place to stay with easy access to Rome but in a quite relaxed place.

Overall hotel was good. Staff mostly nice. Free shuttle bus in morning to train station. Great take away shop 5 mins away. Only real let down is that the train service is very unreliable. Twice in 5 days the trains didn't run. If the trains aren't running it's a hike back up to the centre of town and catching an overcrowded bus or a taxi to anagnina […] which is the start of the metro lines. Mehr

The hotel is located in a very nice neighborhood; however there are not many restaurants in the area. Breakfast is very good and consisted of ham, cheese, fruits, croissants, cereal, yogurt, etc. I rented a car so transportation was not an issue for me. But the airport is almost one hour away with out traffic.

It was dirty, breakfast poor, cold, broken air conditioner, Toilet for the hotel with one star

The hotel is inside N old and charming villa close to frascati.. The hotel is clean well maintained and absolutely charming. The staff is nice and welcoming with languages not being an issue. Perfect hotel for step in a longer tripwhen flying to Rome. I wouldn't recommend it when you want to visit Rome as it's a bit far from the city.. The hotel is a great way to experience real Italian hospitality. The rooms are comfortable. The hotel restaurant provides excellent cuisine at affordable prices. The service is second to none. For comfort, convenience, and security while visiting Rome and the surrounding area, this is the place to stay!

It was hard to find the hotel coming by car. Check-in service was good. Breakfast poor, not fresh bread etc. We could not use the pool for a full day, without any notice (a wedding at the hotel)! The hotel is used for weddings - and the other guest cannot be at the hotel when wedding parties are held...

Hotel very nice although a 10 minute walk to nearest restaurants and shops. Good place to stay if you don't want to be in the centre of Rome, the nearest railway station is 5 minutes drive and train fares are very reasonable into Rome. The staff are very friendly and breakfast very nice. I would stay there again

Great service, beautiful hotel, nice location (We rented a car) The town next to it, is absolutely enchanting. Good breakfast. Everything was perfect. I would highly recommend and stay there again.

Very friendly staff, nice garden and swimming pool, breakfast quite good...a small disadvantage is that there are only double beds and it's more than 20 minutes on foot from the nearest 'inhabited' town

Unless driving not recommended to stay here. Ample free parking, with free good quality WiFi provided. Very helpful, always polite staff. Reminds me of a posh hotel in London in the way it was presented. Problem with hot water, had to specify 20-30mins before when we wanted it, rectified each and every time however so all good. Perfect for our family of 2 adults & 3 children. Blissful pool after sightseeing in Rome; kind, courteous staff; adjoining rooms. Frascati is lovely - 5 min drive to railway station (trains every hour; 30 mins to Rome). In the evenings we walked the 14 mins into the centre of Grottaferrata, with a wide choice of excellent restaurants. Good breakfast. […] Highly recommend this hotel. Mehr

Staff were beyond excellent. I can't remember ever having had more pleasant staff in a Hotel. Pool didn't function first 2 days but they set us up using the pool at a neighboring hotel. Their grounds are magnifcent & the pool, when fixed, was fantastic. A little out of Roma but if you have a car, it's ideal. Maybe a little too quiet an area for younger […] folk, but I would absolutely stay there again. For us with 4 children, lots of room, Simply Great ! Mehr

Il posto è davvero carino, la posizione fresca e riposante, immerso nel verde, un bellissimo giardino, il viale, la piscina, ecc, probabilmente dieci anni fa era davvero un GRAND HOTEL!! Oggi però avrebbe bisogno di parecchia ristrutturazione, dai poggiatesta del letto macchiati da anni di utilizzo, alla piscina […] che non filtra, alle sdraio ventennali, ai cucchiaini per fare colazione graffiati, ecc ecc ecc, tutto così vecchio da sembrare lercio a prima vista, anche quando in realtà non lo è affatto... un vero peccato! purtroppo...non lo conosco!!! Il giorno del mio arrivo venerdì 22 aprile alle ore 12 ho ricevuto una chiamata dall'hotel villa fiorio nella quale erano molto dispiaciuti ma si era verificata una rottura di tubature in un'ala dell'hotel ove avrei dovuto soggiornare. Non essendo certi della pronta riparazione avevano provveduto a spostare tutti gli arrivi […] di quel giorno (essendo il venerdì prima di Pasqua dunque assai numerosi), presso il Grand Hotel Villa Tuscolana di Frascati. Dopo il primo comprensibile attimo di smarrimento si sono dimostrati efficentissimi disposti anche ad accompagnarmi personalmente dal loro Hotel (Villa Fiorio) alla nuova sistemazione di Frascati mantenedo lo stesso costo e stesse condizioni per tutta la durata del soggiorno. Abbiamo passato 4 splendidi giorni in un Hotel chic e raffinato con una vista mozzafiato non dimenticando però l'estrema gentilezza, competenza, disponibilità e cortesia della direzione dell'hotel Villa Fiorio che ha provveduto alla sistemazione della clientela in una struttura in teoria superiore (almeno nel prezzo ma in pratica freddi e scostanti) in un periodo molto particolare considerando la Pasqua e la Beatificazione del Santo Padre. Insomma un contrattempo può succedere a tutti ma loro lo hanno risolto veramente "alla grande"!!! Un grazie di cuore all'ottimo staff dell'hotel Villa Fiorio di Grottaferrata che spero di conoscere personalmente in occasione di un futuro soggiorno presso la loro struttura!!! Mehr

Conoscevo già l'hotel. Ottima posizione nei castelli romani, piscina gradevole, mobili d'epoca, parco con grande respiro. La cortesia del personale è molto superiore alla media, anche per alberghi della stessa categoria. Mi hanno aiutato a fare il check in web con Alitalia, usando la loro stampante senza esitare. Unico neo: una colazione piuttosto banale, […] salvo una eccellente crostata. A questo livello si potrebbe far meglio. Comunque, una ottima sosta, da consigliare Mehr

a pochi km da roma un'oasi di pace e tranquillità. sebbene l'hotel avrebbe bisogno di un pò di maggiore manutenzione si sta davvero bene, la gentilezza e cortesia del personale fa passare in secondo piano qualche manchevolezza. da consiliare per chi vuole essere vicino Roma senza essere nel caos della città eterna e a pochi km da tutte le località dei […] castelli romani. The hotel is a paradox: A polite and helpful staff in worn surroundings: We were a family of 9 in 4 rooms. The annex rooms had no hot water. Other rooms had no ligths in the bathrooms. And the pool was filled with green algal fouling - probably hazardous to your health although the staff said otherwise. Nice, relaxing area, close to Rome. If you stay at this hotel, go to Frascati to eat at night. It`s a nice suburb city up on the hill with a great view!
