Hotel nice and convieniently located. However my room faced the night club opposite and was woken for an hour at 3am by groups of youths singing out loud to thier hearts content! Car parking is a RIP off however the leisure club................SUPERB. The best service I have ever recieved in a leisure club and I have stayed in 100's of hotels! Went […] down at 6:30am and was greeted at reception by a very polite and cheery member of staff. (Normally they are so grumpy in other hotels). I went for a work out then joined in a body pump class at 7am and the trainer was superb! Great start to the day and would possibly go back for the leisure facilities alone. We arrived on a sunday and were brought immediately to our room. Arriving in the hallway it came accross as a bit dusty but we didn't pay to much attention to it. Then upon arriving in our room we found used tissue under the bed. We call reception and they sent a cleaner who pushes the bed asside which showed more tissue and some make up products. Because […] we have a baby who like to crawl around and put things in her mouth we were really not pleased with this and requested a different room. We then had to wait 50 minutes in the lobby. After that we go to our new room, open the door and see a used bandage laying on the floor. Sigh. How this is possible, we still don't know. We wait 50 minutes for this? Although the rooms are definitly nice with a nice layout and high ceilings, it ruined our stay in this hotel. In defence of the hotel, they did apologise for it and sent a small bottle of wine to the room. They day after, the GM called to apologize. We did have the feeling they follow up on this matter, but personally find it unacceptable to find used tissue and used bandages in a hotel room. We also think the carpet is getting a bit old and not cleaned properly. Will not go there again. Mehr

The hotel has a really relaxing atmosphere and the staff are really helpful and friendly. The rooms are a good size and comfortable, the only down side was that I was on the first floor overlooking a really busy street with bars and it can be a little noisy at chuck out time. Will stay again Best in cardiff

great location for staying in the city, however ; the room required a little more attention to detail with cleanliness and decor (dust and bad grouting ) this did not spoil the stay and i would recommend staying there to friends.

My friend and I booked this hotel for a Half Marathion weekend. On arrival we found our rooms to be ready earlier than we expected. Rooms are extremely spacious with a fantastic bathoom with complimentary toiletries and towels so heavy and soft you just want to stay wrapped up in one. We didn't pay for an expensive breakfast because we were running […] the following morning and brought our own food. On looking at the menu prices we decided to have our lunch in there - reasonably priced for a hotel and a huge portion with a free jug of iced water with lemon and lime slices. Swimming pool water was cold and the jacuzzi kept going off every few minutes and had to keep re-setting it which was a nuisance. We were on the front of the hotel and it did get extremely outside during the early hours due to the numerous bars and clubs over the road. Due to wanting to use the bathroom after our run we asked if it was possible to have our room after the check out time and the staff were more than obliging which made our stay and journey home more bearable. NCP car park was directly opposite the hotel but very expensive. Would I go back? Most definitely! Mehr

stayed for 1 night mid week. me and the ladyfriend were amazed with the standard of this hotel. staff were polite and helpful, the room was a great size, the bed was huge! and the styling of the room was great. bathroom was small but had a bath big enough for 2 in it and a shower that could blast paintwork of your car it was that powerful. the room […] was very clean and was well dressed. have already booked my next stay. i could understand if you are not used to city living that noise outside could be a problem for you but you are in the centre of the city so really what are you expecting. The hotel was good in all respects apart from being given an inside room. We couldn't see the sky only windows and more windows. It was very claustrophobic. I wouldn't use this hotel again in case I was put in an inner room again.

Great location to everything, especially the National Museum. Well designed clean room with very good service. Also, good amenities which include the bar and pool. What else do you want.

A lovely hotel set right in the middle of Cardiff, minutes from the shops ! Clean and comfortable with welcoming staff.

A well located hotel with large comfortable and well equipped rooms to a high standard. There is a hotel restaurant that is reasonably priced serving good food.

when we arrived the staff at the check in were lovely, very quick and easy and we happen to mention we were staying the night because it was my husbands 40th, when we got to our room the bed was huge it was a king size and very clean. we went out shopping for a few hours and when we got back to change, there was a bottle of wine and 2 glasses. we was […] well happy, we didn't eat at the hotel as we had booked a meal in tiger tiger which was just opposite the hotel, so great if you had to wobble back after a few drinks. we did have a drink at the bar and that had a nice atmosphere. we would definately stay here again, Great place...Great location............. Hotel was top class and staff were friendly and helpful

On the surface this seems like a smart buisiness hotel but with it's location opposite a westherspoons pub it is more suited to 18 to 30's worst night sleep ever, ifyou are booked demand a higher floor!

Really enjoyed our stay and the food and service in the bar/restaurant was very good. we will be back

Nice quality facilities and professional staff. Although the surrounding area gets very busy at weekends, the central courtyard rooms are well away from the noise. Car parking is provided across the road in an NCP car park - exit cards need to be stamped when leaving the hotel, in order to gain the hotel's discount. Very nice hotel, within 15 mins walking of station and of CIA and perfectly placed for the main shopping area. Rooms warm and comfortable, clean and modern. Bar meals very nice and service couldnt be faulted. would definitely stay here again. Only slight problem was the pillows, they were very soft and didnt offer much support.

A good quality hotel, right in the centre of the city. The suurounding streets get rather noisy at weekends, but we were offered a central room looking down onto the internal courtyard, and we slept soundly with no disturbance. Our stay at the Park Plaza was just as we expected as we have stayed here before, very polite staff and everyone very helpfull, they even opened the NCP car park across the road for us at 2 in the morning so we could park up for the night. will always use this hotel when visiting Cardiff and is ideally situated in the center of town with loads of wonderful […] shops.Do yourself a favour and stay here, nice breakfast too if you have booked it. The hotel was in the best location possible. I ran in the Cardiff Half Marathon and it was a 15-30 min walk to the start line, which is perfect. The surrounding area had all of the restauarants and nightclubs/pubs at arms reach; I didn't have to travel far to get to anything.The Park Plaza was a awesome experience and I will be back!!

Right in the city centre but in spite of being right in the front of the hotel we were unable to hear noise of traffic or late night revellers because of quality of double glazing. I'd happily stay again..

Me and the wife stayed there for 2 nights and the hotel is 1st class in everything about it , the location is very convenient to everything that you want to do in Cardiff and the staff were very helpful if you needed to know anything they were very godd at any question that you asked them , would recomend the hotel to anybody who is thinking of going […] to Cardiff to stay . a lovely comfortable room with a warm welcome and helpful staff. Our 5year old loved staying in a 'posh' room, and it's location was brilliant. For the amount we paid we expected breakfast to be included, and maybe parking as well, but a late deal for a brilliant stay.

This was the second time I had stayed at the Park Plaza, this time for a weekend away with friends. Although there was a mix-up with the rooms, the staff at the hotel were friendly and professional without being obsequious. The best things about the hotel are the bar (very smart), the location (central but not too noisy) and the spa (we used the pool […] which was a good size and very clean). Mehr

Park Plaza Hotels always provide friendly and quality service in modern and relaxed surroundings - Park Plaza Cardiff is no exception. Particularly noteworthy is the fully-equipped gym and leisure facilities. Well worth a visit!

my self and my partener stayed there bank holliday weekend the staff were so friendly on arrival, we got checked in straight away. we were so pleased with the room. it was modern well pressented and spotless. we later went toth hotel restaurant where we were greeted by some of the best staff we have met and the food was excellent. it is without doubt […] a place we will return to in the future as it is not often that you get the service that we got there. i read reviews from others who have stayed there good and bad but to be honest the people who found this place a bad experience were being picky. excellent all round. This is a luxurious hotel which we would never have stayed in had it not had an excellent weekend deal. The rooms were lovely with high ceilings. At first they showed me to a twin room when I had booked a double; when I called reception and pointed out the mistake I was immediately upgraded to a lovely room at the back of the hotel, overlooking a stream […] (it is near the park that surrounds the castle), and with a king bed. But the BEST thing about this hotel is the swimming pool and spa area. The pool is huge for an hotel, in a lovely space with natural light. It is used as a private gym so is well kept up. The size of it is such that even though there was a hen party (or similar) there one lunchtime it wasn't a bother. Highly recommended just for that reason. Oh yes and the bar is fun and all that sort of thing. The hotel is situated in a truly vile bit of Cardiff where you will find girls with their heads in the gutter and their spike heels sticking in the air by 9pm. The boys go round in groups of 25 all wearing identical shirts from Burtons. But inside the hotel all is calm and quiet (at the back anyway). The staff are extremely cheery and helpful. Mehr

Les chambres sont assez fidèles aux photos et aux descriptions faites. Chambre bien confortable avec des équipements assez modernes, luxueuse salle de bain. les couloirs sont assez exigus même si les chambres sont assez grandes. Propreté irréprochable, le ménage est assuré quotidiennement. Cependant l'utilisation de certains services comme chaîne de […] tv et frigo sont payants. De même beaucoup de services sont à disposition dans le centre de remise en forme mais restent payant hormis le jaccuzi, la piscine couverte et la salle de sport ! Certains meubles sont plus vieux que d'autres...Très bonne localisation également par rapport au coeur du centre ville (finalement cardiff n'est pas bien grand) à la fois pas loin des commerces, restaurants et magasins pour le shopping et du parc ainsi que du chateau. Hotel bien déservit car les bus passent juste en bas de l'hotel. Cependant ma chambre donnait sur la rue remplit de pub et de bar et le samedi soir, il a été assez difficile de dormir à cause du bruit, même si les vitrages étaient sensés être isolants! Sinon le personnel est friendly comme on dit :) Mehr
