ich war über die Feiertage dort mit meiner Familie. Das Hotel ist sehr schön, sauber, ruhig gelegen aber zentral. Bis zum Zentrum z.b. jame el fna muss man 20 min laufen oder ein Taxi nehmen kosten für diese Strecke sind ungefähr 1 €. Ich finde aber dass die Zimmer auf gar keinen Fall den 5 Sterne Hotel standard haben. Frühstück mehr oder weniger O.K. […] Minibar ist leer, klopapier fehlte...und einige details worauf nicht geachtet wurde. Aber für das Geld ist es definitiv in Ordnung ... Wir haben das Hotel aufgrund des guten Preis-/Leistungsverhältnisses gebucht. Leider wurden wir enttäuscht. Die Zimmer waren teilweise nicht sauber (Toilette, Badezimmer). Zudem funktionierte das Licht nicht. Die Möbel haben schon bessere Tage gesehen (abgenutzt/defekt). In meinem Zimmer fehlte der Bettüberwurf. Von einem Hotel mit 5 Sterne Standard […] erwarte ich im Zimmer mindestens.: 2 Flaschen Wasser bei Ankunft, Kugelschreiber, Briefpapier, luxuriöse Toilettenartikel etc. Dies alles war nicht vorhanden. Wir wollten in eine Junior Suite wechseln (gegen Aufpreis), es wurde uns jeden Tag versprochen, aber schlussendlich nicht eingehalten. Das Frühstücksbuffet war ansprechend. Jedoch fehlte es am Service. Den Kaffee erhielten wir erst nach mehrmaligem Nachfragen. Von einem 5 Sterne Hotel erwarte ich, dass z.B. auch Cappuccino, Latte Macchiato, Espresso etc. serviert wird. Leider gab es nur Kaffee aus der Kanne und Tee. Zudem fehlten an 4 Tagen die Löffel, obwohl dies dem Personal bereits am ersten Tag mitgeteilt wurde. Mehr

Ich habe schon in vielen Hotels und Hostels übernachtet, vom Hostel ohne Bettwäsche bis zum 5-Sterne-Hotel mit allen Schikanen. Ich habe keine übertrieben hohe Ansprüche, aber das Royal Mirage Deluxe war eine Enttäuschung. Es gab zwar keine grossen Mängel, aber viele kleine die einfach nicht in ein 5-Sterne-Konzept passen. Das Hauptproblem ist dass […] das Personal absolut kein Interesse an seiner Arbeit zu haben scheint, und deshalb sehr viele kleiner Sachen nicht funktionieren. Angefangen hat es damit, dass die Rezeption eher unfreundlich und komplett desinteressiert war, als wir ankamen. Als einziges Hotel in Marokko (wir waren in deren 5, zumeist 2- oder 3-Sterne-Hotels) mussten wir die Hotelformulare mit Passnummern etc. selbst ausfüllen. Das Zimmer war sauber und gut eingerichtet, aber es fehlten die Kissen auf einem Bett, die Toilettenspülung hat nicht richtig funktioniert, die Türe klemmte, der Ablauf im Lavabo war verstopft und die Tissue-Box war leer. Ein weiteres Ärgernis war das nicht funktionierende Internet. WIr konnten aus unserem Zimmer keine Verbindung auf das WLAN bekommen. In den öffentlichen Bereichen war das zwar möglich, aber es funktionierte trotzdem nicht. Das Hotel bietet Computer zur Benutzung durch die Gäste an, aber die Internetverbindung hat dort auch nicht funktioniert. Wir haben uns mehrfach bei der Rezeption erkundigt (mit mehreren Minuten Wartezeit weil die Rezeptionisten alle am Telefonieren waren), und uns wurde versichert dass das Internet funktioniere, obwohl das offensichtlich nicht der Fall war. Das Frühstücksbuffet war mittelmässig, und es waren keine Löffel verfügbar. Alles in allem war es ganz klar kein 5-Sterne-Service, sondern eher was man erwarten würde, wenn man das Personal einer Jugendherberge in ein 5-Sterne-Hotel stellt. Nichts gravierendes, aber wenn ich in ein Luxushotel gehe, dann erwarte ich einfach etwas mehr als das. Mehr

Das Hotel verfügt über einen wunderschönen Pool mit Garten, ist zentral gelegen. Das Personal war freundlich und zuvorkommend. Reichliche Frühstückauswahl. Hotelzimmer mit Balcons. Es fehlt etwas an Unterhaltung.

Alles ok. Bar/restaurant war nicht offen, wahrscheinlich Saison bedingt. Einzig negatives sind die zusaetzlichen lokalen Taxen die anfallen und dass das Hotel eine vergessene Jacke nicht per Post nach Casablanca schicken wollte/konnte.

Das Hotel liegt einerseits in einem ruhigem Viertel, vom Poolbereich her ist man jedoch nur durch eine Mauer mit der Hauptstrasse, welche sehr befahren ist, verbunden. Der Pool ist sehr gross und super zum Schwimmen. Das Hotel selber könnte jedoch langsam eine Überholung gebrauchen, konnte fast nicht glauben, dass es erst 6jährig sein soll. Die Preise […] sind, was Getränke und Essen anbelangt, überhöht. Schade, denn nicht einmal in der Schweiz bezahlt man für einen Kaffee 4 Euro. Man kann jedoch vom Hotel aus vieles zu fuss erreichen. Würde mir fürs nächste Mal jedoch ein anderes Hotel aussuche. Mehr

I's not a 5* as rated, but if you get a good deal it's location & facilities make it excelent value for a 3 night stay. Breakfast is nothig more than ok. Food limited & service poor. We booked a Double, but they expected us to stay in a twin & move after the first night. Complained & got upgraded to a Junior Suite - happy with that. Pool good. Our stay was very memorable in Marrakech! Our hotel was close to alot of attractions and most important within walking distance of the best market I ever shopped in! There were a few little set backs about our room as one nite no bathtowels were left ect. One good thing was they tried to correct these problems rights away! Nice big balonies though a problem with pidgeon waste but our maid cleaned it thoroughly everyday! The hotel also paid to dry clean some bathsuits ect. that the pidgeons decided to use the bathroom on:(We found if we tipped our maid she would go all out and sprinkle rose petals throughout our room and bed , which was very nice!!!The pool though not heated was the cleaniest pool I was ever in and felt quite refreshing on a hot day. The poolside food was good and displayed very nicely when delivered to your lounge chair! We would go back to the the Hotel Mirage deluxe in Marrakech again!!!! Decent price as well!! Mehr

The hotel is perfectly luxurious, and staff are friendly etc. Room service is debateable. The tajine ordered for room service was cold and had to be sent back and re-heated. Not the service of a 5 star hotel especially if you paid full price for it. However the breakfast we had in rom service was perfect and the buffet breakfast is also good. It is a 5 star hotel and its luxury is obvious; spacious rooms and excellent services all the way. However, a drawback is pestering pigeons taking night rests above the balcony of many rooms. Shit and feathers in the balcony is not pleasant and is at a loss to understand why not the Management has taken actions to get rid of the birds. Missing bacon at breakfast - got this in Dubai at a 5 star hotel there. Location is OK at walking distances to the Souk and Medina and also to the shopping district near the railway station. It was a triffle cold so nobody was in the pool - the area looked very nice indeed. Good value for our money but food not to our taste. Mehr

This is a true gem. I got a 50% discount which made the deal even sweeter ;o) It's a small hotel with a true arabian feel to it. The interriour is classic and original. The pool is clean and huge. The breakfast is good but could be better. The only negative thing is that if you tell the taxi driver where you stay the pice for the ride goes up.... exellent very happy with every aspect of my stay.

Within 15 minutes walk to the Medina but need to cross some very busy roads whilst having to dodge the numerous motor cycles who have no regard for other road users or pedestrians.

terrible service and very rude staff! we had to change our room because of a smelly sink releasing disgusting oozing smell but failed to respond to us quickly wasting our whole day waiting to change rooms. very sloopy staff who give u one word answers. car park attendent however was the only pleasent member of staff we came across there. not a five […] star hotel!!!maybe four or three for its service. room service poor and quality of food was horrible. extra charges were made too. regretful we stayed there. I did not enjoy this Hotel even thou it actually looks as good as in the photos. The service was bad and the employees did not put any effort into it. The Pool area was dirty and you had to ask for everything to be done. I am sure the on-going Ramadan affect the employees but my recommendation is to close down the Hotel if they not are able to provide […] a service that you as a customer aspect in a 5 star Hotel (or any Hotel actually). I read the reviews and was a bit worried, but as I was heading back from the mountains all I needed was a big pool to relax my tired muscles. It's not maybe exactly European 5*, but nor is the price, and it's still very nice. Big, air conditioned rooms with balconies, nice Moroccon decoration all over the place, two restaurants (I would recommend rather […] Moroccan than Western cuisine), and as many have stated, the pool is super. Nobody asked me any tips so maybe they have done something to improve the service. The pool side service was kind of slow, but during the lunch and dinner everything was very polite and effective. I got shampoo to my room only on the second day, and the room service did not fill the mini bar, but I consider such a very minor issues compared to the price of the hotel. Mehr

The hotel building itself is gorgeous; quite grand and impressive. The pool area is wonderful and very quiet. We spent a couple of days relaxing around the pool, soaking up the sun but trying to get anything to eat is a serious battle. They staff were very friendly but quite useless, seemed to be 5 staff per hotel guest but it still took 20 minutes […] to get a menu each time we ate from the tiny selection. One lunchtime we were in the dead restaurant for 3 hours waiting for them to bring anything edible. One 80% raw salmon fillet and a seafood tagilitelli without seafood (pasta and grated cheese) was very disappointing, however the carbonara was lovely. The reception staff giggled between themselves each time we were there and didn't seem interested in answeing any questions we had about the area or anything for that matter. To summarise: Beautiful hotel, the building is 4/5* but I'm not sure how they got that rating as there are no facilities apart from the pool and the services is pretty dreadful. We did enjoy our stay as Marrakech is wonderful and we went for a few days relaxation but the frustrations of getting anything to eat or drink would mean that I would choose another hotel next time. It is not close enough to anything to pop out for lunch when you're enjoying the poolside, but is fine to wander out to the square for dinner each evening. Mehr

I'll start off this review by saying that this hotel is far from being a 5 star as listed by Hotels.com. The low rate should've been a red flag. It may have been a 5 star at some point but we were told by a cab driver that it's now being run by a management company whose number one priority is definitely not customer satifaction. I would recommed a […] hotel on one of the main boulevards. The front desk, concierge and management is rude the only decent people we encountered was the girl who cleaned our room and 1 waiter. We've stayed in 3 and 4 star hotels in Marrakesh which offer way better service. As we strolled we ran into the other hotels advertised in Hotels.com which would've been a better choice. Mehr

The comfort of the hotel was a overall nice experience. But service was NOT five star standard. The female receptionist spent talking on the phone, then with the guests problems. Eventhough the hotel was fully staffed, the waiters at the breakfast buffet and by the pool, were nowhere to be found. Not five star worthy.!

I would not rate this hotel as 5 star. The finishes in in the room are deteriorating, the balcony was dirty, the shower door leaked water around the seal thru to the floor and many other small items showing the aged hotel is not being maintainted as required for its rating. stayed at the hotel for 3 nights in june and although the hotel was extremely quiet, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Staff were friendly and didnt harrass us for tips like a previous review, the breakfast was excellent and the rooms clean and tidy. I would definately stay there again on my next trip, the outside area and pool were also wonderful.

This hotel is amazing. It is worth going there just to see the decor. The swimming pool was one of the cleanest I have ever seen anywhere. The breakfast buffet is more than adequate. The staff are polite and very pleasant. If there is a slight criticism it is that the hotel lacks any kind of atmosphere and a lack of entertainment.

A big hotel offering a good clean room. Elaborate surroundings. Lovely pool area though its not heated so freezing in November. Breakfast is disorganised but tasty. Its a good location 15 mins straight walk from medina. Rooms spotless and staff friendly

My family and I recently stayed at the Royal Mirage Delux as we needed a base to stay before flying out of Marrakesh the next morning. The location was fine - a short taxi ride to the hotel, the pool was lovely - but the service and food were dreadful. It seemed to be an inconvienience to the staff to have any customers at all - they were very difficult […] to find and when they did all they were interested in was getting a tip. Food at the hotel is very expensive and very poor we asked for a dessert that was not available (not a lot was) we were then given some vanilla ice cream and charged the equivalent of £10 for it! The hotel staff were not cooperative, the main problem was with the air conditioning , in spite of complaints, the room was hot , in a hot climate such as Marakech , this was very important

Avoid this hotel, Its definitely not 5 star although they still charge 5 star prices, 24 quid for a fish salad, 3.50 for a glass of cola. The staff followed us around hinting for a tip ALL the time, The mini bar fridge didnt work, no towels in the bathroom then when we asked for them we got 1 towel, there is satellite tv advertised but is actually only […] 1 British channel (BBC world news) staff struggled with English language and only the receptionist was fluent in english ( most only speak french or Arabic), breakfast was very limited and only served once at half 7 so if you get there at 9 its half finished and shriveled up.On the web site the rooms look fantastic but are very minimalistic and totally different from the ones advertised. The hotel is 15 mins walk from the main bazaar and we were left to fall victim to the taxi drivers who sit outside waiting for hires. I felt the staff could have helped much more than they did and compared to the people we met outside the hotel were actually very unhelpful. We were very disappointed. Very pleasant check in experience, quick and efficient. Had requested an extra bed for the room, which wasnt present, but this was quickly corrected. Rooms v good air conditioning, which is important in the morrocan summer!! beds were quite hard we felt though. breakfast buffet -v good,cooked or continental, + fruit good bar area and outdoor swimming […] pool. restaurant okay - id give only 5\10 for food quality here, but im a bit of food snob!! better off heading into town!! would be 5\5 overall if beds weren't so hard! also - we only stayed here for 2 nights as we wanted to travel around morrocco a bit, before returning to a marrakech later in the trip. Très bon emplacement : idéal , car proche du centre ville, des cafés, restaurants, commerces... et du quartier haut de gamme de l'Hivernage ... puis à 15 min à pied de la grande place jemaa el fna et de l'ancienne médina (on a quasiment tout fait à pied). Services de l'hôtel de qualité, personnel agréable, chambre spacieuse , entretien correcte , piscine […] agréable, petit déjeuner correcte. Je déconseille en revanche la restauration de l'hôtel et le room service : coûteuse et de piètre qualité. Mehr
