Hesperia Del Port - Barcelona

zentrales Hotel, sehr sauber, Möbel sind etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Nette und hilfsbereite Mitarbeiter. Lage zentral, in einer Seitenstrasse ist eine Art Heilsarmee, im dunkeln, fühlt man sich da nicht sicher und auch tagsüber wird man nach Geld gefragt. Im großen und ganzen aber wirklich ok.

Hotel liegt gut und Zustand der Zimmer ist ebenfalls gut. Zimmer sind leider sehr hellhörig!! Am morgen wenn die Putzfrauen die Zimmer reinigten, wurde man aus dem Schlaf gerissen. Wlan-Empfang im Zimmer sehr schwach! Doch die Einrichtung ist schön (das Bad vorallem) und es gibt einen Fernseher, der auch Deutsche Sender hat. Mann ist zu Fuss schnell […] beim Hafen oder bei der Busshaltestelle Para-Lel. Der Hotelier hat uns ausführlich erklärt wo welche Sehenswürdigkeiten sind und wie man sie am besten erreicht. Am Empfang ist 24h jemand da, der einem weiterhilft. Für uns war das Hotel für die drei Tage passend, da wir viel unterwegs waren und hauptsächlich zum Übernachten dort waren. Fazit: Für einen kurzen Städtetripp ist es passend! Sucht jemand allerdings einen Ort um sich am Abend zu erholen oder allenfalls auch tagsüber einige Stunden im Zimmer zu verbringen, würden wir es nicht weiterempfehlen. Mehr

Das Hotel liegt in der Nähe der U-Bahn Station Parra lel. Sehr freundlich, hilfsbereit.

Good location. One block to Metro; 5-10 minutes to LaRumbula. Room was OK, average for BCN area. Service desk staff friendly and helpful. WiFi kind of slow - had to check with desk for password - it changed overnight.

Good location next to the metro station and walking distance from Rambla and waterfront. Clean room and although we were on the first floor we were not disturbed by the noises. Free Wifi. Breakfast was not included and was average.

I had a great experience. The staff was really helpful and it felt like they were trying hard to make our stay enjoyable. They recommended places to visit and gave tips on using the public transportation optimally (hop on - hop off tour bus). I enjoyed my stay here more than at any other hotel during my stay in Spain. the bed is hard. the staff are ok.. but for the prize you pay, this hotel is reccomended.. is way better than paying double the prize and you probably dont get what you expect.

i would recomend this hotel as location is great, near las ramblas and metro.

Very good location of the hotel.The only promblem we had, it was little noisy by the road but generally was what we asked for-clean and convinient.

Breakfast was not included which were surprising.

Great location for walking the Ramblas area. Easy to get to from cruise ship after port bus. Front desk was extremely helpful. Even loaned me an electrical conversion plug so I could charge my phone. Also, helped with printing boarding passes.

HOtel was close to everything you need, and right next to the gothic part of the city, which is amazing. Good deal for the price.

My husband and I flew in to Barcelona from Italy as part of our 2 week backpacking through Europe trip. We found a very friendly person that helped us figure out how to use public transportation to get from the airport to the hotel (which was pretty far but totally doable with such great public transport) so I can say getting to the hotel was relatively […] easy, the hotel is located on a major street very close to a metro stop. But the neighborhood was awful, especially the street our window opened up to. It was loud all night (until 3am on a weeknight) and it was in the middle of an immigrant community that gave the place an uncomfortable/unsafe vibe. The person who checked us in had a slight attitude but the person who checked us out and helped us with the buffet breakfast was fantastic. The breakfast was worth the money since everything near by was not as healthy or Spanish. The room was large, good sized bathroom, decent toiletries. But if you want to feel like you are in Barcelona, you need a much better neighborhood such as the gothic quarter. I can't recommend this place even though we stayed there overnight and spent most of our time away from the room. Mehr

Although the staff was quite pleasant, the bed was horribly stiff and uncomfortable and the road noise was quite loud and disturbing (made it difficult to sleep). The hotel was convenient to Las Ramblas and the Port waterfront (just a few blocks), thus significantly cheaper than the hotels along Las Ramblas, but the walk back to the hotel at night was […] a bit sketchy and I did not feel safe in the neighborhood. I would not stay here again. However, I would definitely recommend the hop on/off Barcelona Turistica tour bus. Mehr

Very convenient to the cruiseship terminal. Staff are pleasant and helpful. Its an easy walk to the Ramblas, Old Quarter and the underground transportation which gets you anywhere. i would definately stay here for pre and post cruise accomodation and sight seeing.

We arrived at 9: am right off an international flight. The girl at desk got us in our room immediately, The only bad thing about room is it was very noisy from street and METRO. They offered us another room but at back of hotel and you could see laundry hanging from apartments right out your window, so we stayed with our original. Only had breakfast […] one day it was great! David at the front desk was fabulous, such great service,and you are 5 minutes from Las Ramblas and the Parallel Metro which is a few stops from everything. This hotel was awesome! It is literally right around the corner from Las Ramblas which is the happening place day and night. It is in walking distance of the beaches where you can lay out all day and everyday. There are restaurants galore! If you want to take the metro you most certainly can. It is safe no matter how late at night which is a huge plus! The […] staff is very informative and friendly. The rooms were comfortable and cleanly. If you do not have a computer, it is expensive to use the one at the hotel. Try to bring your own. Other than that, I would definitely stay here again. Mehr

The hotel seemed to be the most reasonable in the area as we wanted to be staying in a central location for a one night stay. In that regard the hotel was ideal and very near the metro stop Parallel. The room was quite basic and the shower not very powerful, but the a/c worked and the bed was reasonably comfortable.

Just avoid this hotel!

The Hesperia Del Port on Ave, Parallel is a clean efficient hotel which is a quick 10 minute walk from the beginning of La Rambla. We were allowed to check in before noon and they gave us a kingsize bed. The room was slightly small for the bed but comfortable enough. Our front facing room tended to be noisy. Try to ask for a room in the back. The staff […] tends to be young and varies in local knowledge. The breakfast is comprehensive for the price but there are enough places on the block to grab a quick meal. For better restaurants I recommend a section near Liceu station. Transportation is easy by metro, bus or taxi from this hotel. All in all I give it a positive rating but will try to get something closer to the old city next time. Mehr

Barcelona in general has the good IMMEDIATELY next to the bad as far as location goes. Ideally, I would like a small quaint neighborhood to use as a "homebase" If you like being in the mix- this location would work for you. There are better hotels in the area of the Rambla and Cuitat Vella I would recommend finding them. HALF of the staff seemed inconvenienced […] by the simplest of requests. (iron/ironing board...never found it by the way.Thanks for nothing) NO ONE seemed to know ANYTHING about the simplest things for a traveller in the neighborhood...i.e. Bank locations,ATMs,Bus fare costs, transfer times, Metro run times... TWO of the receptionists were really good! Recommended the best Flamenco show ever! Unfortunately, they were less than half of the people we dealt with. THE ROOM, ridiculously small by even European/college dorm standards! Had to walk sideways to get past the foot of the bed. The 2 non smoking floors of the 8 are nestled conveniently BETWEEN the the smoking floors(3&4)... Just stupid. Not to mention they DID NOT accommodate our no smoking request. So we were stuck between as many as 4 chain-smoking rooms... So stinky-wrinkly night on the town thanks to the Hesperia Del Port! Mehr

This hotel is very close to the port and Las Rambalas (sp?). It is on a busy street, but our room was not loud. The front desk staff were SUPER! If I were to find myself in BCN again, I would stay here.

My wife and I were very pleased with this hotel and their very friendly staff and the hotel is located close to Las Ramblas, Barrio Gotico and the port. Highly recommend it!!!

We were scared a little by the reviews of others, however we found the hotel to be a real value. It was convenient to the La Ramblas area as well as to the cruise ships. We would stay at this hotel again.

Perfect location in the heart of downtown Barcelona where all the action is. Close to Las Rambla avenue, the monument of Christopher Columbus, the museums and the Port of the city. Restaurants and shops are nearby. Cost of stay is reasonable.

Stayed one night waiting for a cruise ship. V close to city centre, 5 min walk. V. close to Cruise terminal too, though not close enough to walk - taxi 10 Euro. Staff were very friendly. Room very comfortable and clean. Paint peeling in bathroom was the only thing we could see wrong. Would stay again!

The staff is very friendly and helpful and the hotel is clean and comfortable. The location of the hotel is slightly out of the way. It is located right off a metro stop and that greatly helps the location, it is a good walk to La Rambla which is fine during the day but can be a little bit long walking back at night. If you are looking to stay near […] the water or La Rambla its a little bit out of the way, but if thats what you are looking for then this hotel will suit you fine. Mehr

After a cruise, we stayed in this hotel, clean and very convenient location; near Plaza Colon, where buses can take you from and to the Port. The metro and stop buses are near the hotel as well,

Nice neighbourhood, away from crowded areas, close to metro. Hotel staff are friendly. We have happy with the tourist info they gave us when we check-in.

Basic Hotel, very close to the seaside and Ramblas. Hotel is basic and clean. Some noise was heard through the walls, so if you are a light sleeper i suggest earplugs just in case. Bathroom, beds and all-in-all it waas clean and nice. I haven't got anythig big to complain. The reception staff was very nice and helpful. The hotel is a 3* hotel but clean and comfortable enough. However the surrounding area is a bit rough, which makes you feel dangerous to go out at night. Remember not to ask the hotel to call a taxi for you, as it is very expensive. It cost us 45 euro to call a taxi by the hotel to the airport when we left, […] whilst it was only 25 euro when we took a a taxi from the airport when arrived. When we arrived in our room, we found the bathroom sink clogged with someone's razor shavings. It was clogged so bad that maintence had to come up and clean it out. The floor never got swept during our entire stay and anything we put on the floor was filthy. The sheets also didn't feel clean. Very disappointed with this hotel. The hotel is fairly close to the cruise port's main entrance. Taxi charged us 12 euros from ship to hotel entrance. We arrived at the hotel really early (8:45 am) and were lucky enough that our room is already available. Though the room is small, it is clean. We liked the easy access to the metro and Las Ramblas. Hotel entrance always locked from the inside and out. Very inconvenient. Just make you feel very unsafe and spooky. Sometime there's no one at the front desk to unlock the door
