Red Roof Inn Ft Lauderdale - Oakland Park

A lot noise in the hallway. The AC wasn't working properly en smells bad

First, I'm a big Red Roof Inn guy...I know what I'm paying for and getting and they're fine. However, this one states it's Ft.Lauderdale. It's actually Oakland Park,.one of the worse neighborhoods in the area. I arrived late, and the front desk guy didn't see my res, then asked, "gimme yo confim numba?? I asked why? don't you have it? He says, "gimme […] yo numba?" Ohh, wayt, I dink I got it. Ok, yur in room #. I asked if the room has too many pet hairs, etc. Can I move? He said no, hotel is filled. Anyway, there are hoods outside the front door smoking & being lound, etc. -yes, at midnight, Well, just say, i slept in my clothes, w/ a shirt around the pillow, and left after a few hrs of sleep. I don't know about all those people who use it for extended stay, but they're in something I don't want to be part of. Mehr

It sucked dogs barking in the halls all night, shift change had to wait to check in, dirty blankets, train running in the rear of the hotel all night long. would never stay there again!

You get what you pay for. The bed was very uncomfortable.

WHERE DO I START? 1ST OFALL THE BTHROOM FLOOR LOOKED LIKE A OIL CHANGE GARAGE FLOOR NOT DIRTY BUT STAINED FROM USE TO WHERE YOU COULD SEE THE WEAR AND TEAR. YOUR BATHROOM FLOOR SHOULD BE THE CLEANEST FLOOR IN THE ROOM AS IT IS THE EASIEST TO CLEAN. THEN THE TV HAD CIGARETTE BURNS OR WORSE ON TOP OF IT. THE NIGHTSTAND HAD NICKS AND DENTS AND WAS WORE […] OUT FROM WEAR, THEN THERE WAS A MOLD TYPE LOOK ON THE CEILING WHICH WAS PROBABLY WATER DAMAGE FROM ANOTHER ROOM. THEN THERE WAS DIRT IN THE CORNERS AND SPIDER WEBS FROM INCOMPETENT CLEANING MAIDS, THEN THE CHAIRS TO THE TABLE IN THE ROOM WORE WORN OUT COMPLETELY AND COVERED IN STAINS. I DONT KNOW HOW THEY DEEMED THIS ROOM AVAILABLE FOR RENT. NOW WHEN YOU BOOK THERE IS A CHEAPER PRICE THAT LETS YOU KNOW ITS NOT A RENOVATED ROOM, BUT EVEN BEING SO IT SHOULD BE AT THE VERY LEAST DECENT IN APPEARANCE AND THIS WAS NO WHERE CLOSE. THE ONLY REASON I STAYED WAS CAUSE I HAD A LAYOVER FROM A MISSED FLIGHT FOR ABOUT 6 HOURS AND DIDNT WANT TO LAY ON THE AIRPORT FLOOR. NOW THAT I LOOK BACK THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN THE BETTER CHOICE. I ONLY WISH THERE WAS A PLACE TO UPLOAD PHOTOS OF THIS ROOM CAUSE I HAVE PLENTY TO PROVE THE CLAIMS HERE. RED ROOF SHOULD BE ASHAMED TO HAVE THIS HOTEL BEAR THEIR NAME. I HAVE STAYED IN MANY RED ROOFS AROUND THE COUNTR, AS I TRAVEL FOR A LIVING AND THEY ARE A VERY ECONOMICAL AND COMORTABLE CHICE FOR WHAT THEY GIVE YOU IN ROOM AND WHAT THEY DONT CHARGE YOU EXTRA FOR. SO I SEEK THEM OUT EVEN IF THE DRIVE IS FURTHER BECAUSE YOU GET A VERY GOOD BARGAIN FOR YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY. 1st room assigned was not cleaned at 4:30pm came back at 8:30 pm still not cleaned. Bed not made counters dirty towels on the floor etc Reassigned room 308, room was cleaner rig and floors were sticky pulled down covers on one bed and 2 roaches crawled out... Took other bed apart no big found so I slept uneasily in that one.. Was awoken by trains passing […] within 80 feet of the hotel starting at 5:30am... They passed by approx every 15 min til I left at 8am. Not a good experience. Staff was courteous and helpful but I will not return... Mehr

The hotel has seen better days...accepts pets and room smelled like cat urine; bed getting worn, stains on carpet. i like the brand but this isn't one of its better outlets. Also, watch out the rear of the hotel is 10 feet away from railroad tracks.

The commuter train passed by my window (25 feet) away, the whole evening! The room (Non-Smoking ) reeked of Smoke. But then again the entire hotel reeked of Smoke! Something bit my arm in the middle of the night. All in all this hotel was a flea trap! Horrible, Horrible, Horrible!

Never again will I book this hotel for anyone. No hot water for a shower, room was dirty, and the best for last.....A cockroach crawled on our workers face while he was sleeping. Absolutely disgusting place.... do not stay here!!!!!!!!!.

Eventhough recently renovated, still needs some upgrades to make it to it's maximum ( new tubs/showers) upgraded appliances ( tv sets ) and better channel selection. Location is good, accessible to local transportation. For frequent travelers a bit far from Airport, unless you have a car, for locals it's fine.

It was a convenient location for a business trip, the hotel was ill kept and messy. There were ants in my room, the bathroom was dingy and the mattress springs. And I was serenaded all night by the jarring sound of trains.

Thus far, I've had no luck getting the problems rectified, the only offer was for a one night stay certificate....... at the same dump! They have a customer service guarantee, so far it seems you're guaranteed to be dissatisfied!

I saw something really funny. The night staff had the habit of putting sign on the coffee machine in the lobby saying that 'it was broken' - apparently because they didnt want to stock it with supplies. The guests who did not speak English would lift the sign, make their coffee, and replace the sign when they were done.

I requested a non smoking room and was given a room that was not smoke free. I was given a room that smell with smoke and then switch to another room which was the same, this mean I have to wash all my clothes when I returned home because they were stink with smoke. The walls and ceiling were dirty; but overall my room was clean.

Hotel limpio y cómodo, solamente esta muy cerca de la linea del tren. Acceso rápido a la I95 y comercial bulebard

Escojimos una habitación de no fumadores y estaba bien olorosa a humo de cigarro aunque tenia rotulo de no fumadores. No nos gusto ya que andábamos con ninos.
