Waren auf unserem USA Road Trip 2 Nächte im Hounds Tooth Inn. Es liegt unterhalb der Straße, die direkt zum Yosemite führt. Fahrtzeit zum südl. Parkeingang 20 Minuten. Das Hotel liegt sehr ruhig. Ich würde es als romantisch, liebevoll beschreiben. Es wird von den Inhabern, ein Ehepaar geführt. Unser Zimmer war mit Kamin, Klima und Deckenventilator […] ausgestattet und sehr hübsch eingerichtet und sehr sauber. Frühstück war super für amerikanische Verhältnisse. Es gab verschiedene Brotsorten, die man toasten konnte, Müli, frischen Obstsalat, 2 verschiedene Marmeladen, Streichkäse, Kaffee, Milch, Saft und die Inhaberin hat jeden Morgen eine frische Eispezialität gemacht, z.B. Omelette oder eine Quiche, frisch zubereitet und sehr lecker. Man kann sich auch nach draußen setzen. Rings um den Zaun sind Rosen gepflanzt und man sitzt sehr schön da. Wer am Abend noch einen Wein genießen will, den gibt es auch im Hounds Tooth Inn. Wir würden beim nächsten USA Trip mit Yosemite dieses Hotel wieder buchen. Haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt. Mehr

Liebevolles Anwesen mit sehr nettem Besitzerpaar. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Zimmer und ganzes Haus inkl. Umschwung sehr sauber und gepflegt. Grosszügiges Morgenessen.

Our first stay at a Bed & Breakfast.... a great introduction...pretty place and found the rooms to be large, comfortable with a delicious breakfast ..great breakfast room.

We spent one night here and everything was great. The room was large and spacious. I would have liked a larger bathroom area - the sink was free-standing with no counter - but that's my only complaint. Next time we're going to make our reservation earlier and get a room with a spa. The breakfast was self serve and pretty basic but good. (Quiche, fruit, […] pastry, toast, cereal, juice, etc) But if you're expecting a traditional B&B where they prepare the meal and everyone eats at the same time family style, that isn't how they do it. The location was perfect for us - right on the main road through Oakhurst. We went on a hike at Bass Lake which is just minutes away. We will definitely stay here on our next trip to Yosemite. Mehr

When I selected the Hounds Tooth Inn as part of a surprise trip to Yosemite for my wife's birthday, it was only because it was the cheapest available option on short notice. I am SO glad I chose it! It's adorable, in a quaint setting, and the innkeeper is fantastic - we got a free upgrade, and our room was absolutely amazing. We were in town for a Funeral. The Innkeeper's we were very kind and made sure we were comfortable. The breakfast in the morning was great. The room was lovely, very homey with a fireplace. We plan on returning sometime soon!

It's a nice place, but be advised, it is located 30 minutes from the parks south entrance and more than one hour from Yosemite Valley floor, it's a long drive on a windy road. We also thought the food and wine was sub-standard for a B&B, just very basic, like a motel.

Wine bar is open till 10pm, and it's free! Breakfast was nice. Outside open area with lawn furnitures to relax. Very cozy place.

What a great B&B. Only 20 minutes from Yosemite. The breakfast and evening wine were an added treat. Met some very nice guests on our three night stay.

Lovely large white house with multiple bedrooms, comfortable dining area and pleasant check-in staff. We stayed in #8 that had a large comfortable bed and everything one might want to have in your room; TV, fluffy towels, clean sinks and shower, etc. The guests were given free wine to enjoy that evening and we took our glasses out to the patio and sat […] in comfortable chairs for hours, letting the sky darken and the stars come out in force. A small black and white cat came to greet us and kept us company before heading off into the meadow to find field mice. Listening to the chirping of crickets, and the other nice soundsof nature was pleasant after a full day of hiking in Yosemite. Our bed was comfy and other than I would have like two more pillows to use than the two provided, we were satisfied. Breakfast was a feast; consisting of multiple choices of breads, muffins, fresh fruit salad, kiesch (spelling may be off , but it's egged baked with sausage), fruit juice and good coffee in a sunny pleasant sitting area. Recommend this B&B to anyone that wishes a pleasant stay before continuing their journey. Mehr

We have just spent 3 weeks touring California, staying in many different hotels. We booked this hotel for one night as it was a convenient stop-over, we just wished we'd booked another night. It was such a change from the normal hotels and it was lovely to get the personal touch here. The room was so different, just wish we'd been able to have a peep […] at the other rooms. In the evening we were able to sit outside and enjoy a free class of wine, although I'm sure we could have had more if we'd had time. This is a great stop-over for Yosemite. We had a meal at a restaurant called Woody's in Oakhurst itself. Lovely welcome and meal, good value. Mehr

Loved our stay - it was just too short, unfortunately. The wine bar was a pleasant surprise and very nice touch after a long day of driving. The home was easily accessible and close to the south gate of Yosemite (12 miles). The only thing that I noticed that looked like it needed improvement was the grounds (a bit overgrown and unkept looking except […] right around the house itself. Oodles of rose bushes and other pretty flowers but the paths / trails were a in need of a little TLC. Mehr

I stayed at the Hounds Tooth Inn Bed and Breakfast while on my way to Yosemite National Park. The Innkeeper was very friendly, helpful, knowledgable about the area, restaurants, and the park. He had a nice sense of humor and also insured that the breakfast was fully stocked for his guests. Breakfast consisted of quiche, hardboiled eggs, cereals, pastries, […] toast, oatmeal, fruit salad, coffees, teas, something for everyone. Wine was also available in the early evening in the lounge area. A very nice touch. The room was quite comfortable, clean, and well appointed. I will not hesitate to stay there again and whole heartedly recommend the Hounds Tooth Inn Bed and Breakfast. Mehr

The Houndstooth was just as advertised. It was very clean and well taken care of. We enjoyed it and highly recommend it if you're staying in the Oakhurst area.

Hounds Tooth Inn B&B was a delightful experience! Our room #11 was elegantly appointed, with fireplace & spa tub, which we enjoyed at the end of a long day of sight seeing. Our hosts made us feel so at home and felt like "old friends" rediscovered. We would absolutely stay there again, and highly recommend this gem just off Hwy 41, Glenn & Francine

This is by far one of the best places I ever stayed that wasn't home. I'll give you a visual : 7 AM, the morning after our 25th Anniversary, I wake up , have some of the best coffee ever, slip into the in room sunken hot tub, the gas fireplace is keeping the room nice and toasty. The morning sun is streaming through the windows, and I've got my favorite […] music playing softly. All of this would be good enough, but to top it all off, I'm at the southern tip of Yosemite National Park, one of the most beautiful places on earth. I can't say enough about how wonderful this place is, the location, the people, the Breakfast (All homemade and terrific) the bed (better than home) the surroundings, etc. We were all over CA and AZ on this trip, and this was by far the best part of the trip It would be worth suffering bad lodgings to see the wonder that is Yosemite, but this place was the icing on an amazing cake, and the best place we could imagine to spend our silver wedding anniversary, I'm so happy to have come across this gem on your site, end would heartily recommend it to anyone. Relaxed and friendly this place is a wonderful place to stay either before, during or after a full day in Yosemitie. Next time I`m out that way The Hounds Tooth Inn will be the first place on my list to stay.

We loved our stay at Hounds Tooth Inn!! The room was wonderful and so was the breakfasts!! Both innkeepers were super sweet & even upgraded us because there were rooms still available. We loved our spa tub & fireplace...especially in crisp November. The evening wine bar was also a delightful bonus. It was also nice to have a great location to grocery […] stores and restaurants. It gave us a wide variety of choices both taste & price-wise. But it still felt private, quaint, peaceful and off the beaten path. We were able to visit both Bass Lake & Yosemite because the Inn was so close to both. It was truly a relaxing & refreshing getaway! Mehr

Vale la pena. Excelente para aquellos que vayan a Yosemite. Esta cerca del parque y el hotel es lindisimo. Excelentes detalles, super bien decorado, el desayuno es excelente, a la tarde copa de vino y cafe gratuito. Lugar paz y tranquilidad. Los dueños super serviciales. Vale la pena por el costo que tiene. Excelente!

c'est un hotel tres charmant, silencieux, avec un petit ruisseau en contrebas, tres romantique. Proche du village ou tout est disponible essence, supermarche, restaurant... et a peine a une trentaine de kilometre de Yosemite. La chambre est spacieuse, la moquette épaisse est tres agreable, elle comprends un frigo une douche et un wc personnel, une […] television ainsi qu'un lecteur DVD avec des films disponible. Le personnel, tres agreable et souriant, est au petit soin pour nous, personnellement, il m'a rendu de grands services Je recommande vivement cet hotel. je pense que si je retourne a Yosemite, j'irais dans cet Hotel Mehr

Erg leuke B&B dicht bij Yosemite NP en met mooie tuin, leuke kamers, "videotheek" met dvds en video's met speelfilms, prima ontbijt en vanaf de middag staat er in de ontbijtkamer wijn klaar om door de gasten genuttigd te worden.

Lille hyggeligt sted med dejlige værelser hvor der var sat et personlig præg på værelsets indretning. Absolut anbefalelsværdigt.

superbe endroit un peu campagne anglaise, à la sortie du parc yosemite entrée sud. Accueil sympa et le petit déjeuner "maison" un délice !
