Wunderbare, zentrale Lage bei der Karlsbrücke in schönem palastartigen Gebäude. Liebevolle und kompetente Betreuung; die Damen von der Reception wussten zu allen Anliegen eine Antwort oder einen Tipp. Wir bekamen Upgrade von Zimmer zu Suite und für unsere frisch vermählten Kollegen Willkommens-Sekt. Die Zimmer im Parterre sind eher dunkel, aber die […] Strasse, auf die unsere Fenster gingen, zum Glück eine ruhige Nebenstrasse. Im dazugehörigen Restaurant Amade isst man sehr gut; moderne (nicht so fettlastige) tschechische und internationale Küche. Mehr

This hotel was by far the best we stayed in during our European trip !!! Excellent service..our attendant, Igor was very helpful getting us settled and Wendy, the concierge took every opportunity to insure our stay was pleasant. The room (404) was large, spotless, quiet and comfortable. We were lucky enough to have a balcony with table and chairs to […] enjoy our evening wine and morning coffee. The "old town" and Charles Bridge are within easy walking distance. The adjoining Amade Restaurant had great food at excellent prices. When we return to Prague we will most definitely stay at Pachtuv Palace !!!! Mehr

My wife and I stayed in a deluxe suite for five nights. The view was five stars all the way. The staff was attentive and patient. Unfortunately, the room was just not up to snuff with the location and the service. The bathroom was a C- at best, and, worst of all, the radiator-style heater was not working in the bedroom (which was a major problem because […] it was below freezing the entire time we were there). Got an amazing winter rate that included an upgrade to a river view room. I found the deluxe suite to be extremely spacious and pleasing and the staff to be very attentive. The car service to the airport was excellent as well. I visit Prague ofter and I preferred this hotel and location to many of the others I have tried.

My boyfriend and I stayed here a few weeks ago and to say we were thoroughly impressed would be an understatement. The grounds, room and bathroom are all beautiful with a really nice feel to it. The staff service were always friendly, polite and very helpful. We hope to get back to Prague soon, and when we do we'll definitely be staying here!

This hotel is in such a great location - we had a room overlooking the Charles bridge and then the Castle and Cathedral on the other bank. We have just visited (in early February) and the weather was cold, but the hotel was very warm and incredibly cosy. I am nearly 7 months pregnant, and the staff were very accommodating and considerate, ensuring that […] we had an easily accessible room and had everything we needed. Although the nearest metro station is just a few minutes walk away, the hotel is so well placed that we actually walked everywhere from here - the surrounding streets of the old town are so pretty, that it seemed a shame to miss them by going under ground. Were it not for the location of this hotel, it would have been a genuine disappointment. Granted, the view from upgraded rooms is incredible- overlooking the Charles Bridge and up to the castle. Our room was a virtual apartment- a huge sitting room, a modest bedroom, bathroom and oddly, a separate room down a hall for the toilet. The major drawback, […] however, were the staff who while very formal, did not seem eager to inform or assist. The room was extremely hot and although we asked repeatedly to have the temperature lowered in the room, it remained set at the same temperature. My friend finally ended up sleeping on the couch with the windows open (in December!). On a number of occasions, the staff gave us information that was incorrect and only when we asked that it be checked or confirmed, was it corrected. We also overheard the concierge tell another guest who had asked about available concert tickets that there were none available when we had just booked tickets a few minutes earlier ourselves and had found many available. Our local Czech guide observed the same thing about the staff when she interacted with them. On the up side, there are many local bars and restaurants in the immediate area for both take out and eat in that offer a much better value than the hotel's breakfast which is comparatively very expensive. Reviews from guests who had stayed here earlier indicated that the staff then was very helpful, so perhaps there's been a recent change in personnel. Mehr

The Hotel Patchuv is wonderfully located in the old town of Prague. 100 yards to the St. Charles Bridge, maybe 1/4 mile to old town center and the Old Jewish Quarter. Everything within easy walking distance. Great staff, wonderful restaurant and superb service. Americans should be aware that the hotel has a big tub with essentially no shower curtain […] (short glass partition of about 18 inches which means standing right under the shower head if you don't want to drench the floor.) This is not a show-stopper- not a single hotel we stayed in eastern Europe had shower curtains- this was a step up since it had a tiny partition to keep all the water from going on the floor. the hotel is in a perfect position for walking to all important and popular sights. the staff could not have been more polite and helpful. dining reservations and booking tours were done with ease. our room was slightly smaller than we normally see, but it was clean and tidy. breakfast in the restaraunt was very pleasant.

The room we stayed in was really lovely, the service in the hotel possibally the best I've seen, I would have no hesitation in recommending the Mamaison suite hotel and plan to stay there again when we next visit Prague.

The hotel is in a great location and the staff was very friendly and very helpful. Our room was a Jr. Suite and it was very large with a small fridge and little cooktop even. We didn't really need all that space, but if you did it would be nice to have.

It was an ideal hotel very close to all attractions. Only possible complaint, as we din't have breakfast included choice wasnt very good. Otherwise buffet was very expensive.

The service was first-class and friendly, and the building and courtyards were beautiful. We got upgraded to a deluxe suite with a view of the river, which was enormous and very well appointed (although our friends were in a "junior" suite on an interior courtyard that was nearly as large). As travelling with my son I requested two beds and was upgraded to a suite with two bedrooms, salon with kitchen facilities and two bathrooms (without toilet). Rather annoyingly, there was a separate toilet. Would have been excellent were it not for the fact that we arrived on an extremely hot, sultry day, were accommodated on the top floor in the converted […] roof space and only had two fans to cool us down. Spent a very uncomfortable night trying to find respite from the heat. Air conditioning would have been bliss. But apart from another little niggle about breakfast finishing rather earlier than expected and an attempt to charge full buffet rate for some coffee and a piece of cake as most of the rest had already been cleared away, the location is superb and the hotel very charming. Brilliant staff who were only too happy to help. They booked us into a restuarant in a few minutes after first arriving. They upgraded us to a Junior Suite which was huge. Although close to Charles Bridge it was really peaceful in the room as it opened onto an internal courtyard. Very impressed.

superb hotel in a fantastic city, the location is ideal just a 5 min walk from old town square and seconds from the charles bridge. the staff are the most polite i've ever experianced, and hotel is definatly 5 star, the room was spotless and very quiet, even the car to the airport was top notch and only a few quid more than a taxi, and as we stayed […] at christmas they even left us a present on our pillow. we would certainly go back to this hotel, hopefully soon!! Awesome location! Probably a better view of Prague Castle and the Charles Bridge than the pricey Four Seasons down the street. Naomi, one of the hotel staff, was spot on in her recommendations for restaurants and went above and beyond to help us during our stay. The rooms were spacious and kept as clean as possible. The public spaces were very nice […] as well. The only area that needed work was the enclosed shower stall in our bathroom which had mold, hard to remove without adequate ventilation. Otherwise, everything was perfect. We will stay there again and recommend it to others! Mehr

This hotel was in an excellent position, close to all the major sights. Our room looked out of the Charles Bridge and the Castle - we couldn't have asked for a more spectacular view. the room facilities were great - a little cupboard kitchen - good large bathroom - very comfortable large bed - two easy chairs and a table. The hotel is in a wonderful location - minutes from the Charles Bridge. You can walk everywhere. My room was spacious, clean, and modern, and I had a view of the castle and bridge. My friends were upgraded to a 2-bedroom suite. The staff was friendly and helpful. Great place.

The Mamaison Pachtuv Palace obviously prides itself on its service, which is gracious and solicitous. The room we had was a junior suite and although under the eaves of the palace, it was spacious, with room for a king size bed, a table that could seat four and a sofa. It had high beamed ceilings and lovely views of the Prague Castle from our skylights. […] The bathroom was spotless, with the toilet in a separate space for the conveninece of the room occupants. We had a minibar, a two-burner stove, a microwave, a toaster, a small sink and enough kitchen "stuff" to cook for ourselves if we wanted. The location of the hotel is awesome: along the river, but not right on the river, about a block from Charles Bridge and about a 10 minute walk from the heart of the historic center. Despite being near a busy street and a night club, we found it to be very quiet. The only pet peeve was the high room service charge for each delivery. We did not try the hotel restaurant, but it seemed attractive and high end. All in all, we would return to the Pachtuv Palace in a heartbeat and would recommend it wholeheartedly. Mehr

What a great little place located close to the Charles Bridge. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and comfortable with a neat kitchenette. Overall a great value if you are looking for a European style hotel with history, excellent location and superb service.

Pachtuv Palace was a great hotel in a great area. It was literally steps away from the Charles bridge and walking distance from all the major sites in Prague. The staff was friendly and helpful throughout our visit. The room we had (a junior suite) was huge and had a great bathroom. We told them before our arrival that it was our honeymoon, and the […] hotel placed out flowers and offered us complimentary champagne upon arrival. A couple of small things, I wouldn't pay 20 euro a person for their continental breakfast, there are plenty of small restaurants nearby that can offer better for a much lower price. And the bed was a little bit on the hard side, but other then that everything was great and exactly what I expected. When we stayed there was some construction/remodeling in the courtyard so it detracted a bit from the atmosphere but it wasn't during night time hours and the noise never bothered me. Mehr

Lousy service. Internet access in the room was unavailable, couldn't get an iron in the room, staff unhelpful generally. Rooms were very average in appearance and weak on amenities. I wouldn't go back.
