As expected of a Campanile

Enjoyable stay, great value for money and close to locations we needed. Will stay again when visiting Runcorn in future. Friendly helpful staff, clean & comfortable rooms.

For a budget hotel, the Campanile Runcorn does a really good job. It is ideally situated close to Runcorn station for regular journeys into Liverpool.

great location beside train station. in the bar on the saturday night they had no draught beer or lager only bottles which i thought was bad and only one staff member working cooking and trying to run bar as well and result was smoke alarm went off in the cooking area as she was too busy

I was there for a business stay on my own, I needed somewhere close to Halewood. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, the TV worked, the shower was good and the bathroom a good size, the breakfast in the morning had everything I needed. The restaurant is very good, excellent staff and food.

It does what it says on the can. Carpets in hotels are rarely very clean ( why dodn't they use wood floors?)- but the bed was, nice sheets. Good TV perfectly adequate tea and coffee. Loads of hot water and relatively clean bathroom. It is a budget hotel but I would certainly use it again. Staff very nice and friendly

the size of the double room is average with TV and bathroom. the bonus is free wifi and parking. However, the room is really dated. there is only one electric socket which is already connected to the TV. So we can't charge our laptop unless we unplug the TV. Also, 2 lights are not working with light bulbs removed but not replaced, which cause health […] and safety concern. the bathroom looked more maintained, the shower was powerful. But the towels provided look quite old. Check-in and check-out were prompt. For the budget price you pay, it's OK but Premier Inn or Travelodge's rooms are much more well maintained. Mehr

The hotel is rather run down, but bearing in mind the price we paid - excellent value for money!

Basic room. Could do with some redecoration but adequate for the purpose. Value good, breakfast freshly cooked for you, unlike some major chains. Staff were helpful and courteous.

The Campanile is perfectly comfortable and i found the staff to be friendly enough. One member of staff even ensured that we had a room ready as soon as we arrived despite us arriving before the standard check-in time. The room was fairly comfortablefnot fairly dated and had everything that you would need - TV, working shower, reasonable space for you […] to hang your clothes if need be. By no means would I call the Campanile 5 star luxury but at the end of the day, considering what we paid for the room I really feel no need to complain. It was fine for a night and overall myself and my partner were satisfied. It is close to the centre of Runcorn and is literally a 2 second walk from the train station. It also has a fairly nice pub nearby too. If I was in town again I would most certainly consider staying at the Campanile again. Mehr

It was cheap enough so in general its ok but on that evening there was a foul smell. There was no decent restaurant close by as pub and restaurant did not motivate us to have a meal so had to go to nearest village.

Stay here a few times,the only issue we had was,we were on the rear of building,and was a poor signal for the wifi.And chambermaid knocked on our door at 9-35am,but besides that was fine.

I booked this on very short notice, it was the nearest to me and the cheapest. The toilet leaked so I put towels down, and told the cleaners, who just gave me extra towels. It leaked for the 3 days of my stay. I was unsure if I had booked bed and breakfast but didn't have any of the breakfasts. So a partial refund would be nice. no where near city..no shops/nothing nearby.. just basic and cheap...

Cheap cheerful, staff very good, can be a little noisy

It's very close to the train station and there's a good pub next door. But the wifi is a bit spotty on some parts of the lodge and my shower was 100% not working, which was unfortunate to discover late at night when maintenance is away and too tired to bother. I'd say it's just ok.

we stayed 1 night and found the road bit noisey but adults could cope dont think kids could, the room itself was clean but light fittings were hanging off the walls and there were no plug sockets which was quite surprising, dont think its worth the money at all but there is a lovely cafe in the town that do a really nice full english breakfast

it's cheap and basic.close to a pub with noisy alcoholics after hours( while you trying to sleep!)

at the price was not expecting much, but the greeting we recieved made me think maybe this is better than first thought, giving informative information which told us all we needed about the breakfast, restaurant, and facilities, we left reception and climbed the staircase to our room. the twin room was small, but adequate, came with twin beds (not loads […] of room between them but enough, a desk, with chair, TV with loads of channels, tea and coffee facilities, , wardrobe and bathroom with a lovely bath/shower. the location looks at first to be Yuk but we found with exception of the planes flying overhead it was quiet and peaceful, and the walls are were thick enough so you could not hear the conversations of people nextdoor, the rooms were clean and fresh, and cleaned everyday, we did not try the restaurant as spent most of the time in Liverpool, but found that it was really close to the town centre with a nice stroll alongside the canal to get into town. would definately stay there again if I have to go to Liverpool or Manchester again. hidden gem of a hotel clean rooms big bed big telly central to town centre pubs eating places close walking distance only 25 mile from trafford centre aswell

Convenient location near the station, but far enough to be a quiet and secluded environment. Pleasant and comfortable.

The hotel is located well for access to/from the main road and the room was clean and functional. The biggest let-down for me and my son was that when we went to the adjoining reception/restaurant at half past seven on the morning we were checking out to get breakfast, the building was locked-up.
