Hollywood Inn Express North - Los Angeles

The worst hotel during our whole stay in the US. The first room we've stayed in was very noisy, warm and with dirty spots on the floor. The next morning we went voor breakfast (8.35 AM) but already breakfast was over. We complained about the room and got another, which was a little better. There were problems with te plumbing, shower was whisteling […] and blowing loud. Staffmanager was always in a bad mood, could'nt even say goodmorning. Terrible hotel, don't stay there!!! If you want a place where you can be delightfully kept awake past 2AM by CHILDREN running around all over the place then stay here. I mean I know its in the heart of grime town but come on! Oh and I'm sure at least 5 overdoses and murders occurred in my room. But it was cheap and convenient if you can overlook those things.

We stayed here while Mom was visiting from CT because she wanted to see Hollywood. We weren't expecting much, just a clean bed to lay down in at night. We wouldn't have complained about the layers of dust covering every surface in the room, the screaming and slamming doors from other guests, the dirty carpet, the joke of a "free continental breakfast" […] (an old box of donuts), or even being woken by the high pitched sounds coming from neighboring showers. But when Mom woke up and rolled over and saw RODENT FECES (both in whole pieces and also smeared into the sheets), that was it. They tried to tell us it was "just some kind of bug" as if that would be better, but we had taken pictures of it. Needless to say, we reported it to the better business bureau and the health department. Places like this should not be open, never mind making money. Mehr

The hotel is quite run down, the rooms are not cleaned properly, the hotel is located in a dodgy part of Hollywood with a high number of beggars hanging around. The breakfast consisted of pastries served in a cardboard box on the counter, the coffee machine didn't actually work. Sheets and towels were stained. Room 108: Very old, worn carpet. Needs fresh paint. Room smells bad. Very bad choice of soap barrs. First night, towels smelled bad. Chair top falls off and legs are wobbly. Maid did a good job with what she was given to work with. My room did not look anything like the pictures in the ad. Mattress and Amana HVAC were good.

It was a bed and a pillow. Ya get what ya pay for. It's cheap and somewhat within walking distance of Hollywood. Maybe about a mile.

Easy access to 101 freeway. Not a bad neighborhood for Hollywood. A bed and a shower and a place to park. The WiFi signal is pretty weak.

Great room at a great price however customer service at the front desk was severely lacking.

It is nice for a very short period of time. I gotta say is in a great location, in the middle of everywhere. Would I stay again??... Only if I have no other choice.

Although this hotel was small and not quite to our expectations, customer service was excellent. The location was in close proximity to many Hollywood sites, including the Hollywood sign. The neighborhood seemed a bit seedy, but that is just our opinion. The beds were a bit too hard for our liking, and we had no microwave that was advertized, and the […] internet was intermittent at best. Worst hotel experience ever!!! Rude owner and employees, bad customer service and filthy rooms! DO NOT STAY HERE

This hotel is really dirty , every coner of the room is dirty. the service is horrible,I don't understand how this people don't get inpected. If I go back again , I'll make sure I won't go back again to this hotel, the parking is only one way out and in,it's really small. and I would not recommend this hotel to other people.

The list of things that left us feeling cheated by Hollywood Inn is very long. Here are a few highlights of our experience there: 1) The carpet was badly stained and did not seem to have been vaccumed for weeks 2) The bedsheets were of the lowest quality possible and dirty 3) The blanket was paper thin, and really it was a joke to be called a blanket 4) […] The bathtub was broken with a crack in the middle 5) The bathroom wall had a tennis ball size hole in it. Saw dead bugs on the bathroom floor. 6) The advertised "Complimentary breakfast" was just coffee, juice and donuts, strictly between 7 am and 8 am. No coffee availability at any other times. No coffee machine in the room Overall it seemed like an operation that did not want to invest anything on guest comfort, room maintenance and cleaning. Stay anywhere else, but here. Mehr

she's a dive queen. though I don't expect much for the cheap ish accommodations, I at least expect a clean headboard.

my family and loved the stay at the location. Clean room, quite old building, hot water, pool, TV, decent bathroom, I recommend it only to spend a night, I didn't like it for a long stay, it is in a not so good neighborhood.

The room had horrible, horrible smell and it was a non-smoking room, just imagine what a smoking would smell like. I'm not sure if the sheets were changed but it sure did not smell fresh plus, it was itchy and I developed a rash in my arm. What can I say, it was cheap, but definitely not worth it. If you're going to stay in cheap hotels, be sure to […] bring air freshener, your own sheets and blanket, and of course sanitizing spray and wipes. Only good thing I can say is that the location is good, if your driving. That place has great potential considering the location, it being close to the city's tourists spot. But make no mistake it's in the ghetto but not bad. Like other cheap hotels it needs major deep cleaning. The carpet needs to go! Mehr

OK for the price, But too much trafick and noise Hollywood Blvd

I stay on the road alot so i pick places with a breakfast...their idea of a breakfast was day old donuts and coffee...it was truly horrible...couldnt even finish one donut..and i can eat.....had to go and buy a breakfast so i feel i was taken by this establishment for they did not have a breakfast...it was gross

This was the best hotel to stay, as I was with my family and also some business in Los Angeles. Location wise very convenient, very nearby by freeway. Hollywood, Kodak theatre, Chinese theatre, walk of fame, all these were like walking distance & Universal was like 10 mins drive. Downtown was like 15 mins drive. This place was so disgusting and trashy/ghetto we thought we would get bed bugs. scared to enter the room, and after we got in we found dirty towels, stained and dirty sheets, pillow cases hadn't been washed, the toilet seat not wiped down or bowl cleaned out. absolutely disgusting.

The only good thing about this hotel was the bed, it was very comfortable. The room itself, though, smelled horrible, like urine. Plus my son got bit by something. The parking was crazy. There was one way in and that was the way out as well. You had to back out of the parking area. There were only about 10 spots and if you got in late, you had to park […] on the street, which was illegal, but apparently not an issue to the management. The beds were nice, but the room stunk, literally. I only booked this room because it was just my sons and me. If my wife and daughter were with us, there was no way I would have stayed here and doubt I will ever again. You get what you pay for... Mehr

It smelled bad and the mirror had gang writing on it. It was creepy, there was dried blood on the bathroom wall! And to top it off the continental breakfast was from 7am-8am only and it was just coffee and pastries. Never will stay there again!

horrible smell in the room and dirty dirty dirty! only pro is close to lots of thai restaurant and attraction. other than that- nothing!

TV remote got to replaced 3 times, chair was broke, no tissue paper, stingy on toilet paper only 1/4 roll in bathroom and room was smelly.

All I needed in this hotel was a breakfast. Hotel dot com shows that they serve a breakfast, but I couldn't find any foods in the morning when I was there. If somebody really think a breakfast is important, do not choose this hotel.

The rates for this "inn" or "hotel" are the only reasons I would really recommend this place to anyone. That and maybe it's proximity to Hollywood Blvd if you need to go there for any reason. The room smelled bad first off. Not like smoke or anything I can compare it to. The carpets needed a serious replacement and the walls needed a new paint job as […] mine had stains on the walls and they had patched the wall where a door handle went through it but never painted over it. Everything in the room works it's just not even close to feeling like a clean room. I slept on top of the bed to be safe, get the idea? Sencillo, cómodo, bueno para pasar la noche y cerca del paseo de las estrellas no muy bonito para salir a caminar po la zona. Por el precio excelente. Nada bueno el desayuno.

Senhores, Sei que se trata de um hotel de 1 estrela e meia. Mas o negócio é que nem o telefone do quarto funcionava. Para ligar, tinha que pedir à moça da recepção que é uma pessoa muito gentil, por sinal. A internet também não entrava.. então fiquei meio "ilhada"e isso me deixou muito mal. Grata Regina

Nous avions réservé en ligne et le soir à notre arrivée nous n'avions qu une chambre sur les 2 payées. L hôtel était plein donc la manager nous a envoyé à 6 miles dans un autre hôtel de la chaîne. Là on nous a donné dans un 1er temps une chambre en bazard qui n avait pas été faite par la femme de ménage. On nous l'a remplacée par une autre chambre qui […] empestait l alcool et la fumée. Il est 2h du matin. Fatigués nous sommes obligés d accepter. Chaîne d hotels donc à ne surtout pas recommander... Mehr

Hotellet er i ret dårlig stand med hensyn til rengøring og vedligeholdelse- Morgenmad - glem det. betjening er præget at ligegyldighed. Eneste grund til at vælge hotellet er at det ligge godt i forhold til Universal Studio og i forhold til Hollywood.
