Das Hotel ist in New Carrollton (Maryland ). Die Umgebung besteht aus Supermärkten und Schnellrestaurants.Das Hotel hat einen eigenen Shuttelservice zur Metro .Die Hinfahrt nach Fahrplan ,die Rückfahrt nach ansage.Das Frühstück ist wie überall in Amerika nicht sehr reichhaltig ,aber man wird satt. So das übliche Essen.Kaffee Tee Toast MIlch Cornflex Rührei Butter Marmelade .Die Zimmer sind sauber und sehr geräumig

Hotelzimmer sing großzügig mit eingebauter Kitchenette - alles ist sehr sauber und gepflegt - das Frühstückbüffet (complimentray) ist reichhaltig und sehr gut - die Hotelpersonal ist hilfsbereit und sehr zuvorkommend - das Hotelshuttle kann für Transfers zu nahegelegenen Zielen kostenlos genutzt werden - nächstgelegene Metro-Station: Vienna (orange) kann mit Taxi erreicht werden - wenn mit Auto unterwegs, ist Lage / Pries-Leistungsverhältnis des Hotels sehr gut.

Das Hotel liegt direkt am Jeffersson Highway, sehr einfach zu finden, wenn man mit dem Mietwagen unterwegs ist. Der Service am CheckIn/Checkout ist nicht gerade umwerfend oder freundlich. Die Mitarbeiter waren genervt und recht ungeduldig. Das Doppel-Zimmer war ein Städte-Trip-Traum: groß, sehr sauber, das Sleep-Number-Bett (man kann den Härtegrad der Matratze individuell einstellen) in Kingsize war sehr bequem - gute Schlaf garantiert! in ca. 3 min ist man an der Metro-Station "Crystal City" (unter dem Marriott Hotel). Die Station hat eine Einkaufspassage. Das Ticketsystem der Metro ist leider etwas kompliziert - am besten vorher mal online reinschauen! Die Fahrt in die City zum weißen Haus und dem Memorial Park dauert ca. 20 min. Für einen Städtetrip in die City ist das Hotel absolut empfehlenswert!

"Courtyard messes brekfast coupons"
Courtyard seems to mess giving breakfast coupons all the time. Twice in 3 days at 2 different hotels. This one did not give us at all. We had to ask for it and show a proof that we paid for it which is embarrassing. The hotel needs to do better job of getting reservation information from all parties. Also the flush did not work. "courtyard marriott close to all entertainment down"
attended my retirement party close to the courtyard marriott and since my friends where coming from Jersey and live 3 hours away we decided to stay at the courtyard marriott instead of driving 3 hours home, I've also stayed here before during a blizzard and have to say this place was great i like the security of the marriott where you need your room […] key to enter your floor etc..and my room was clean the gentlemen at the registers was super helpful when we decided to order a pizza in our room..honestly this is the best hotel in silver spring and I would know cause i'm a retired firefighter iwho worked my whole career in silver spring and I have run the magority of the buildings there & by far i never seem to run this building..the parking garage was on level 5 and was great cuz it took you right into the buildings lobby...again you can't go wrong staying here... Excellent room; appeared recently renovated; comfortable; easy access to Fillmore and the Metro.
The security maintaiined to access each floor is excellent, however, the person who checked us in neglected to mention the key must be used to access our floor. Overall, it is very suitable to our needs.
"Courtyard Silver Springs-No housekeeping"
While overall location of this hotel was outstanding, the complete lack of housekeeping negated any positives for us. Upon entering the room after checking in, we found a used towel still hanging in the room. Not being particularly fussy, we put it aside for it to be collected the next day-the rest of the room looked clean and fine. The next day, after […] a long day out, we returned to the room at about 3:30 pm to relax before meeting friends for dinner. When we entered, it was apparent that house keeping had been by as the trash cans were still full but lined up next to the door. The dirty towels remained in the tub and the bed was unmade. A member of the housekeeping staff was out in the hall asking if we wanted the room made up-at that point we just wanted to relax and just asked that she empty the trash and provide clean towels. We told her we would make the bed as we really just wanted to relax. The next day we left the hotel at approximately 9 am and returned at 8 pm. The room had NOT been touched-everything as we left it-unmade bed, full trash cans, dirty towels. The man at the front desk contacted housekeeping and offered us a drink while we waited for someone to take care of our room. While we really did not want a drink on the house, we accepted this as we didn't want to linger in the room while whoever had to clean the room for someone who didn't do their job. We really aren't picky people but this was ridiculous. This completely affected our view of this hotel and the chain. Mehr

The hotel was very convenient to all amenities and minutes away from DC. While their lounge/bar closed early there were ample places within walking distance to get a drink and relax.

I enjoyed my stay at your hotel. Everything was wonderful. However, our room was not cleaned on Sunday at all 9/4/11 and hours were not posted for snack bar /cafe in lobby area.

"Silver Springs-- everything you need"
World class Health club and sauna with lockers in the hotel. Lap pool. great patio. excellent location with plenty happening in the town square right out the back entrance.
very nice hotel..... the gym was an entire floor and so was the olympic size swimming pool.... I will stay there again... don't hesitate on this hotel

This hotel is very clean, great service, located in the middle of everything (shops, theater, food and frozen yogurt. If I every go back to Silver Springs I will always stay here. I was the center of attaction. Just beautiful.

"renovations played havoc"
We arrived to find the hotel under renovations. One had to enter via the 5th floor of a parking structure, there was no real lobby; the breakfast was in a converted room (as was the bar and the business center). The breakfast was very limited and often all gone well before it was scheduled to close.
they are remodeling, so we only saw floor 3 and 4. too much noise between floors. Oly a lap pool, not an indoor pool.

I'm usually very happy with these hotels, but there was so much construction going on that my stay wasn't as good as usual. The breakfast in particular was very poor. But between the access to the Metro and the outstanding gym I would still recommend this hotel.

"Convenient but odd entrance"
Finding this hotel is a challenge. You have to go into a parking deck, up an elevator and across a bridge to enter. We had two small problems with the room (I fixed the toilet myself), but the location is good, next to shopping and restaurants and 4 blocks from the Metro.

First time in Silver Spring. This Marriot was conveniently located - in the center of town, a Whole Foods accross the street, within walking distance of a variety of restaurants. Nice neighborhood, great hotel for the price, staff were great. Only complaint - we asked twice for an extra pillow and it never came. You have to pay a few dollars to park […] the first time, after that, it's free. Parking structure is next to hotel with a walk-way inbetween. And, get this...every afternoon out come homemade cookies by the front desk - yum! Our son lives in SS - we will stay here again! Mehr

Wow, ... Silver Spring has changed in the last ten years since I used to live in DC. This is a thumping downtown locaiton. The room was quiet and comfortable but right outside the front door is everything - clubs, eateries, shopping, and peoplepeoplepeople.

Once we got our minds around the unusual arrangement of checking in on the 3rd floor, and having the garage on that level, but on the 5th floor in the garage side, we settled in to a wonderful stay. Loved the room, the dinng area, the food available for breakfast, when the rooms are made up, the staff, and the facilities for computer use.
