Mai. 2012
Zimmer top, etwa 15..20 min vom Flughafen entfernt. Shuttle ca alle halbe Stunde. Service im Restaurant quasi nicht praesent, haben jeweils eine halbe Stunde auf Bestellen koennen, Nachbestellen und Zahlen gewartet. Essen in Ordnung.
"Liffey Valley - conveniant"
Close to M50 - Great Shopping/Cinema/conveniance food - Great LemonGrass Restaraunt- Excellent. A few stains on some cushions but at that price it exceeded our expectations.
"clarion hotel liffey valley"
on arrival we were told we hed been upgraded to a suite. But it seemed like more of a down grade road noise from outside all night, beds very uncomfortable,tv did not work in room, noise level in bar from kids running around was unbelieveable.Iknow it is family friendly but there is a limit.

"Clarion hotel in Dublin Liffey Valley"
I stayed in the hotel for one month in the suite king. Overall, the stay was very good. Price is very interesting for the quality of the hotel. Staff is very nice. Rooms are well maintained. Beds are very confortable. Breakfast is good w lots of choice... from Irish breakfast to continental breakfast. Will definitively come back. Only drawback: no wireless […] internet in the room for a 4-star hotel. Mehr
"Clarion Liffey Valley"
Nice Hotel. Very helpful staff. Nice restaurant.
"Clarion Liffey Valley - handy to motorway"
Clean and tidy, nice rooms and TVs with on demand music with a host of old and new albums to play like a jukebox. The important stuff...around 5EURO a pint in the bar, expensive but the going rate in Dublin so to be expected. Cheap rates, didn't use pool or other facilities but family members informed me they were of high standard nd used by local […] gym goers Mehr
"Clarion Hotel, Liffey Valley, Dublin Ireland"
My son and I stayed here while visiting my daughter who is a student in Dublin. This hotel was the perfect location in our case, b/c my daughter works in restaurant. at Liffey Valley Mall, and we wanted someplace easy for her to walk over and meet us after getting off work at late hours, so we could all visit. It was a 5 min. walk to a bus stop to get […] into Dublin city center; the busride was roughly 15 minutes, and the 78A bus came every 10-15 minutes. Very convenient! The hotel staff was fantastic. They accomodated our every need; bringing a bucket full of ice, extra blankets, internet cable, etc. They were super helpful & very professional and courteous. The room was very clean and well kept. I guess the Irish hotels are very conservative with amenities?? There was no wireless in the room (needed a cable), and no hair dryer (they probably would have provided one, but I didn't think to ask). The towels were also at a minimum, but we asked for more, and were given them cheerfully! I stayed here for 4 nights upon my arrival to ireland, and booked an additional 2 nights later in my stay (we took an excoursion to another town, and stayed in a hotel there mid-stay). When I came back to check into the Clarion Liffey Valley, they accomodated us in one of their apartment-style rooms!! It had living room, separate bedroom, kitchen, and even a washer-dryer. Boy, that was convenient. And they didn't charge us any extra; just must have had it available, and felt we could be blessed by it. I would go back to this hotel anytime. There is also a Clarion closer in to the city center, which would likely be easier to access the Dublin attractions for the average tourist. This property just worked great for us, b/c my daughter's work is in Liffey Valley. Hope this review helps you. Mehr

Very friendly staff, nice clean hotel, only neg thing is it was a good walk around the hotel to the room
"Not to bad at all for the price."
Located next to Liify vally shopping center. OK for families, Lots of kids over Easter hols, so quite noisy. Still good atmsphire and good leisure center. parking is 4 euro per day. avoid the resturant, service very slow and noisly.
Lovely hotel on the outskirts of dublin. Friendly staff and clean hotel. We didnt use the swimming pool as swimming hats have to be worn and we werent keen, but they are for sale at the desk of the leisure complex. Very close to shopping centre with a good range of food outlets and shops. We went there for breakfast as the hotel was busy at this time […] of day. I would recommended this hotel as a good base to look around dublin, if you dont fancy staying in the town centre. My only complaint would be that the room was very hot at night which made sleeping a little difficult but there was a fan in the room. Mehr

"Good for price"
Good hotel for overnight stay for the price. Big and many hallways to negotiate. Decent size rooms and nicely decorated. Clean. Has a bar with pub food and restaurant plus a lunch area. Restaurant OK for dinner. Didn't eat breakfast buffet. Minimal charge for car parking. I couldn't stay here too many nights due to the hard bed!
"Clarion hotel Liffey Valley"
Comfortable hotel near the m50/n4 junction. Hotel was very quiet and two pubs close by were also quiet so not the place to go to if looking for evening entertainment or night life. Got an upgrade and room was very nice with a lounge and small kitchen with microwave, fridge kettle tea &coffeeetc.. Hotel is about 500mts from the shopping centre & cinema […] and the hotel offered dinner and cinema deal which seemed reasonable. Mehr
Good value
"Clarion Hotel Liffy Vally"
Really enjoyed my stay here.. very convenient to the Hermitage Clinic where my husband was having surgery, |Felt very secure in the car park.
"Clarion Hotel - Inexpensive but too far away"
The Clarion Hotel in the "Liffey Valley" area of Dublin is ok at best. Food/Drink: The kitchen closes PROMPTLY at 10 pm, no exceptions. As does the nearby bar's kitchen. Shouldn't one stay open a bit longer than the other? Apparently not. The after-hours food that is available is limited to sandwiches. The sandwiches we had were actually fine but at […] the absurd prices we paid they should have been excellent. Internet: Our room had the most abused-looking Ethernet cable I'd ever seen and I spent years working as a systems and networks administrator. Needless to say, the rooms don't have WiFi so the lobby was constantly full of people surfing the internet on their netbooks and phones. General location: It's a non-trivial slog from central Dublin to the hotel and this is its very worst asset. The hotel is on the periphery to such a point that there are no nearby convenience stores or restaurants - nothing within less than 10 minutes of walking, if not more. Even to the bus stop it's about 7 minutes and then it's a 30+ minute ride into town. The room: our room was fine. Seemed fairly clean, though there were some nauseating-looking stains on the desk's chair. The rest of the room seemed ok. Unfortunately, probably due to the relative low-cost of this hotel, it seems to attract a fair number of yobs who made a point of stealing the "do not disturb" card from our door. And, on the last day, there was NO hot water. We commented on this to the staff who said they'd look into it. *shrug* There was, at least, a mini-fridge in the room and it was big enough for more than two beers. The staff: As usual in Ireland, the hotel's staff was of a variety of nationalities but all were friendly, courteous and/or helpful. My wife and I plan on visiting Dublin again but we will not be staying at the Clarion Hotel again as it is simply too far from the city centre and everything else. If you have a car this is probably a non-issue for you. Mehr
I wasv very impressed with the Clarion and will definately return there again
"Great choice for those who are travelling in 3's"
Clarion Hotel LIffey Valley in Dublin - was a great choice for staying with my family. There were 3 of us looking for a single room at an affordable price. As we were not so much interested in city center activities and needed more piece and quiet - Clarion Hotel had it all! We got a very nice and clean room for all of us (which was twice cheaper than […] a family room in a hostel in the city center) with all usual hotel room facilities. In addition, we enjoyed swimming and relaxing in the swimming pool, sauna and jacuzzi which was free of charge for the hotel guests. Finally, as we had very early flights there was an airport shuttle bus stop next to the hotel door (as it is being run separately from the hotel there was a transfer fee, but still if was less than calling a taxi, and more stress free experience, as bus has a schedule and runs accordingly). All in all, even if it is a bit further from Dublin city center - it is very worth staying in! Mehr

"Not recommended for Saturday nights"
A few stains on the bed frame, more 3 star than 4 star, old tube type tv, generic bathroom, similar to a Hotel Ibis layout. The surrounding area is fairly run-down, apart from the Liffey Valley Centre, and the Arc Bar next door, which does good food. We stayed on a Saturday night, and the paper-thin walls did little to keep out the noise from other […] guests partying in their rooms, and talking loudly in the hallway. This kept going from around midnight until 4am, when two of them were finally thrown out, after shouting abuse at the security staff. All said, it was cheap enough and not in a bad location if you have a car (but had to pay for parking, 4 euro a night), but I'd rather stay in a travelodge/days/ibis/maldron or another of the budget hotels, as I didnt think this was superior in any way. Mehr
The Hotel is really far from the city center and the spa area was average.( The sauna was not working)
"clarion Hotel Liffey Valley Dublin"
A very comfortable room. Thank you for holding on to our property when we left it in our room on departure so we could pick it up on our return from the west. AS
Friendly staff, convenient location just off the M50 with late night shopping and a cinema close by at Liffey Valley. Excellent value, particularly if you have the time to make use of the excellent leisure facilities. Would recommend.
"New Years Eve"
Had a lovely dinner! waited till 12 then went to our room at 12ish! understanding new years eve it would be a late night but it was Mad!!! we phone recepition 3 time at about 3am till 5.40am. In the Morning spoke to Bruno the Manager who was excellent and looked after use!! We will go back as the Hotel and staff was very good
very corporate guests oriented hotel, had great trouble ordering room service - wrong number given in the hotel book, out of date menu in the room; no pen or pencil in the room to fill in breakfast card or comment card; breakfast in the restaurant costs 10 E, for guests on BB-rate room service is extra 5E but for guests on room-only rate breakfast to […] the room cost 20 E; one morning there was only 2 staff members in the breakfast room around 10 am, I was never offered tea/coffee, there was a lot of uncleared tables, constant shortage of hot dishes: toasts, hash browns etc., staff under great pressure and unhappy guests :( Mehr
"Clarion Hotel Liffey Valley"
Very Convenient for shopping , Dining and Clubbing
"great if you have a car"
Hotel is just off the M50 so if you have a car you are fine for travelling to anywhere in Dublin. However without a car I don't think the location is great. Shopping centre around 10 mins walk away which is fine. Car parking is €4 each time you use it (well under 3 hrs is free) but I hate hotels that charge for parking when you're staying there. I feel […] is you are paying to stay the night they should provide parking for you. Rooms are clean and comfortable and warm. Have everything you would need. Mehr

"The Clarion Hotel liffey Valley"
Stayed in the Liffey Valley hotel on Friday night 05/11/2010 as I was meting some friends for a meal and drinks. We dined in the hotel sinergie restaurant. I have eaten in an other sinergie resturant in the Clarion hotel in Limerick and the dining experience in Liffey valley doesn't even come close to the one in Limerick. To say the least the food was […] very average. The rooms in the hotel were very comfortable. The biggest issue I had with the stay was that the fire alarm wen't off at about 4 in the morning ( false alarm ) but it continued to go off on and off for the rest of the night. No word of apology at checkout. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone. Mehr

"STAFFING AT THE WEEKEND"
I REALLY DID ENJOY MY STAY AT THE WEEKEND WITH YOURSELFS. IF I HAD ANY ISSUES WAS THAT IT SEEMED THAT THE STAFF WERE VERY SCARCE IN THE MAIN AREAS LIKE THE RECEPTION AND IN THE DININING ROOM AT BREAKFAST AS IT WAS A VERY BUSY WEEKEND OTHER THAN THAT I WOULD GLADLY BOOK WITH YOU AGAIN
"Clarion Hotel Liffey Valley - Excellent!!"
I have stayed in many hotels and this was definitely one of the best. Excellent customer service, brilliant food and the gym and pool facilities were as good as any top commercial gym. Would definitely stay again.

"Not impressive whatsoever"
Stayed 3 nights in late august early september. Everything about the hotel was ok but i couldnt say much more than that. I was far from impressed by anything they had to offer. Food: The food was pretty bland to be honest, along with this breakfast each morning was the exact same with no hot food apart from a full irish breakfast, albeit cold. Service: […] The service at the hotel wasn't great, some of the staff at the hotel were helpful. The girl at checkin was nice but some of them were pure ignorant. Also the kettle was broke and i had to ask 3 times for a replacement. Value: I booked the break through the supervalu getaway breaks so it was fine that way. But as regards food it was overpriced. Along with this we got 2 drinks on one night in the hotel and never again. I was charged 5.50 for a pint of bud and 6 for a small bottle of barcardi( which can be bought in a shop for about 1.50 i reckon). When i enquired about the price i was again met with ignorance, and a case of as someone else. Location: To make this clear it is 800m from the Liffey Value SC and just an extra 200m to the bus stop. Its a nice walk if you were going in the rain. Not as close as they make it out to be. Its also 20mins bus trip from the City centre Leisure Centre: I must say the pool was absolute crap. it had no life or anything, but the gym was very good and clean with the staff there being very nice. Overall i wouldnt recommend it to a friend, i wouldnt have to look to far to find a nicer hotel. Mehr

"Clarion Liffey Valley"
The hotel is very accessible just a mile from the M50. We opted for the suites and were very happy with the rooms in every way. The facilities and the nearby shopping centre mean that you could be selfsufficient in the suite if you wished or use the hotel breakfast and dinner if you wished. The queues for breakfast were noted but there are external […] options not far away if you don't want to wait Mehr
"Clarion Hotel Liffey Valley, Dublin"
Ample secure underground parking at a reasonable daily fee, with stays of less than three hours free of charge. The room was modern and comfortable. The televsion service was good, although the TV set itself was not a modern flat screen, and sometimes the reception froze. Room service was very prompt and friendly. Our room overlooked scrub land, which […] didn't bother us, but may put some people off. Liffey valley shopping centre is only a ten minute walk away with access to the M50 literally a minute away. However, for those wanting to head into Dublin city centre it is quite a distance out but handy for the airport. Overall we found the Clarion good and would return, but don't expect a secluded country retreat or the convenience of a city centre location. Mehr
"Clarion Hotel, Liffey valley, Dublin"
