Peppertree Ocean Club A Festiva Resort - North Myrtle Beach

We were promised an ocean view. Instead we had a ground floor view of the pool. The master bedroom and the living area both had large sliding glass doors that overlooked the pools. That is, the pool people could look directly into our room. We asked for another room but were told they did not have another one. Also they do not change sheets or make […] your bed if you stay more than one night. If you need towels or clean sheets they will not bring them to your room... you have to go to the second floor and exchange your old ones for new ones. My mothers room was right next to the ice machine and the pool bathroom... talk about loud and smelly. I thought it was an epic waste of time and money!! The only nice things I can say is that the room appeared clean, and the walk to the beach is short. Mehr

We were given a room on the first floor. We asked to be switched but were told there was nothing available. It seemed noisy outside our bedroom because of the first floor location. Also we could not see the beach because we were so low.

The place was not bad at all for the price we paid. It was just a place to stay 2 nights while we attended a wedding, which was conveniently located right down the road. The full kitchen was awesome. I REALLY like that it had tile and no carpet. Hotel carpet is nasty. Looks a lil run down outside, but it's really not a bad place.

We found the hotel to be clean although much in need of updates. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was well supplied and had everything we needed. The location was good although there are not many places to eat within walking distance. For the cost, condition and location I would recommend this hotel to friends.

We decided to spend New Year's Eve on the beach. We got a great rate on the one bedroom suite. It had a jacuzzi in the main room which made all the difference in the world. It is not the newest property in the area but everything in our room was up to date and in good repair. Would definitely stay there again.

The pool area was nice enough and had four hot tubs but it wasn't heated and the water was very cold then. One of our criteria was an indoor pool in case it was cold or rainy then, but the indoor pool was under renovation. The room itself was very nice for the money, tho the furniture was worn, although the bedroom was very cramped and didn't have a […] closet. There was a very small closet in the hallway. Since we were there for such a short time this didn't really matter. There was a full well equiped kitchen.There was no daily cleaning but you could turn your towels in for new as needed. The outside of the hotel looked pretty shabby. We were on the bottom floor which did not have a view of the ocean, but was convenient . The upper floors had nice balconies with views. Mehr

The room was spacious and the hotel was right at the beach. The pool hours started too late (8:30). No chance for a use before work.

The condo was great. Plenty of space, right on the beach. The service was great and right there as soon as you call.

Basically, an older property. Clean, but not fancy. For a condo it was small but adequate. Our big complaint was that the refrigerator stunk like spoiled fish. We bought baking soda and that helped somewhat. We discovered at the end of our stay (by pulling out the fruit and veggie drawers) that there was some awful spill underneath the drawers that […] was gross. We left the drawers out on the floor and called it to management attention. Hopefully, the next guests had a better situation. The front desk people were pleasant, but not good with directions. The folks in the craft and activities center were wonderful, lots to do and pleasant to be around there. 2 pools, 3 hot tubs, nice, but very busy. Easy access to the beach, really nice area for swimming and shelling. Mehr

I booked this hotel based on the reviews but unless you've been to the hotel before, you always have reservations (no pun intended). I took this trip with a friends for a girl's weekend away. It was spacious for two people. We both had our own bathroom and bedroom. We had oceanview and we were able to look out onto the pools, hottubs, and grilling area […] as well. There were a few quirks that I addressed in the comment card to the hotel but overall, it met my expectations. The hotel could use an update of the exterior but otherwise, it was nice and I would return there. Mehr

The location of the resort in on the beach which was very convenient. The parking is free. The room was clean with all the amenities and above all wifi was free!!! I booked it through hotels.com and there is catch ...they do not tell you what level you will get the room...and unfortunately we got our room on 1st floor which has least privacy as you […] can not leave the curtains drawn all the way to view the the beach as it opens up right on the pool and anybody can see your room!!!! Over all we like the resort ..only wished we would have got other floor than the 1st floor:-) Mehr

We were disappointed about the location of our room due to the fact that all the photos indicated the rooms were ocean view which we did not get. We did not have a balcony either. The hotel could not accomodate our request to change rooms. A postive note: the room smelled nice due to no smoking rule.

Everything was clean. We were able to cook our own food rather than going out due to their kitchen amenities. Ocean front was beautiful and the pools/hot tubs were wonderful. It was an excellent experience and I would definitely return.

Out stay at Peppertree was very nice & comfortable. Convenient to most shopping and lots of spas & pools. We will be back !

Been over 10 years since our last visit. Exterior of building in dire need of maintenance. Needs painting and structural repairs on masonry (Large cracks in facade). Interior had been recently updated we were told. The walls had been painted, but that was the extent of the remodeling. The appliances looked like they were from the early 80's. Very comfortable made to feel at home and well maintained

My wife and I spent the weekend there for our 17th Anniversary. Had ocean front view which was nice of the staff to give us without us even requesting it. Location was great. We always stay at Cherry Grove when we go to the beach, so getting around was easy. Pool was great and access to the beach was great. King bed, couch, kitchen and bathroom was […] nice in our room. An older resort but very confortable and a good value. Beautiful beach, nice pools and cookout area with grills. Would definitely return again

Has several hot tubs and two large outdoor pools with plenty of chairs. Has one indoor pool and hot tub. Would stay there again.

We had an excellent stay. The staff were friendly and very helpful. When I tried to tip one staff member he refused saying" this is my job". No question the next time we stay in North Myrtle Beach we shall book in to the Papper Tree. Eddie and Michaele

Read the reviews and we were skeptical about the hotel, however, for the rate and location it appeared to be a good deal. When we first pulled up on the hotel it appeared to not meet our expectations (old, worn down, some renovations taking place at this time so construction stuff in way) but the staff was very courteous and helpful when we checked-in. […] We were pleasantly surprised by our room, it was clean and neat; towels stocked plenty, smelled clean, GREAT VIEW OF OCEAN; kitchen was stocked with enough to have a meal, everything in working condition; facility had pools, hot tubs, laundry, ice machines, work out room. Loved the location of the hotel to beach and access to the major roads; staff was great, even cleaning staff greeted us with warmth. Will stay here again! Mehr

We stayed at the Peppertree by default due to the fact that we waited until the night before we wanted to go to book our room. We wanted an ocean front room for four nights for 2 adults and 1 child during busy Easter week. We were able to get a one bedroom studio with kitchen. We had an ocean view which we wanted. were able to get the room on-line for a price we could afford. If called directly to hotel, we would've paid much more. For a 4 nights, not bad, not luxury, but, we weren't looking for that. Cooked some meals and were right there on the beach. I can't gush enough! The check in staff were wonderful and the room was way more than expected!! What we thought we would need was furnished already, including pots, pans, and tableware. Plus the grocery store is 2 blocks away, so close in fact, we walked there one time when we only wanted a few items. Walmart is only 10 minutes away also.
