"Hotel Agli Artisti direkt neben Bahnhof"
The hotel has shared bathroom which were very clean and excellent hot water pressure in the shower. The included breakfast was a nice surprise and was in par to any major hotels in the city. Its the closest hotel to the train station without spending a fortune.
"Convenient location, excellent value...."
...but mediocre service. We chose this hotel because it is VERY close to the train station in Venice, and we had to leave very early after our stay. Compared to other hotels located directly in Venice, this was an excellent value! However, the first room they assigned to me had not been cleaned...and the next two we tried hadn't been cleaned either! […] Eventually they were able to provide me a room, but that was a bit of a hassle. Wifi is a little slow, but available. For the value, cleanliness, and location, I would recommend this hotel again. "Close to Central Rail Station- Loud Church Bells"
Locations was convenient. Not very comfortable beds. Don't bring that much luggage, only stairs to get to room. If you like to be up early you won't mind the church bells going off in the morning for what seemed to be around 10 minutes. Overall, friendly staff and and clean rooms.
"Hotel Allogi Agli Artsti"
As we all know accomodation is expensive in Venice so we booked into a 2 star with shared bathroom. To our delight the hotel gained a 3 star before our arrival however we still did not expect too much. Our room was large with a balcony and a bed settee, very clean and wonderfully comfortable beds. There were three bathrooms between only a few rooms […] and we never saw anyone else using the bathrooms, they became our own private bathrooms directly across the hallway. Bathrooms were modern and very clean. As planned we only stayed one night so we didn't really get to know the staff, however our brief encounter was pleasant. We didn't eat there either so no comment on the breakfast. Locality was superb, a short trot from the railway station, a quiet street at night and as with anywhere in Venice not far to walk to any of the sights. Mehr
"Hotel nearby Piazzale Roma in Venice"
The hotel was adequate but not comfortable. The worst part of the stay was that we left very early in the morning and stopped by the desk just to return our key. We were then told that we owed a 6 Euro "Venetian tax" that we were never told about. The desk associate would not charge it to the credit card that I had used to pay for the hotal, cash only. […] I doubt very much that it was a legitimate tax. I would NOT recommend this hotel! Mehr
"More like a hostel"
Like everyone else...you definitely get what you pay for. Go in with low expectations (hostel-like). Rooms are very dinky. We knew about the shared bathrooms going in to the stay. Although we did not know they didn't have an elevator..which was so exhausting to carry heavy bags and luggage up 3 flights of stairs. The room was not that clean and we found […] a few strands of hair within our sheets! It was gross. BUT we have to say, we really loved our tiny balcony in the hotel room. It was definitely a nice touch to make up for the lack of space in the room. I would suggest it ONLY if you wanted to save money and have a good location. Mehr
"Hotel Alloggi"
look if you need to dash out in the morning to catch the train it's barely ok. Otherwise unhelpful staff grotty rooms, and no lift (try carrying bags up 4 flights with no offer of help) Freakin' dire.
"Excellent Value"
For the price, I doubt it can be beat. After taking a bus from Marco Polo airport to Piazzale Roma, we only had to walk about three minutes to the hotel. The waterbus was about 100 meters away so transportation from the hotel to almost anywhere in the city was extremely easy. The room was small by American standards but the price was representative […] of the room size. There was a heater but no cold air conditioning so we had to leave the door to the beautiful little balcony open most of the time. This was not a problem in the least however as the cool night air was perfect. Breakfast was surprisingly good and they served free coffee and espresso each morning. We actually preferred the breakfast at the hotel to the shops outside. There is no meat at hotel breakfast but this seemed to be the case for all restaurants in the city. Unless I suddenly become super rich one day I couldn't imagine staying anywhere else in Venice. Mehr
"Big room & very convenient location"
Our room was VERY large & conveniently located to the train station in Venice. We got a room with a shared hall bathroom. The room & bathrooms were very clean. We were allowed to keep our bags at the hotel before we checked in & after we checked out.

"Horrible"
- Received a room on the top floor which was under construction. We had to step over all sorts of construction works to get to our room. - We asked to upgrade to a room with a private bathroom instead of a started and was denied. - The room was very small with two twin beds shoved in with barely any room for our bags. Air con was very poor. This […] was the most expensive hotel I booked on my Italy trip and also the worst. Mehr
"Disgusting, DO NOT STAY HERE"
I stayed here on my honeymoon. The room they gave us was on the third floor. There was no elevator and we had to lug heavy suitcases. The staff was rude and mean. The buffet was tiny and had cold and stale food. We came home our first night to find ants in our room. They moved us to another oom with our own bathroom. Later, they accused us of having […] ants in our suitcases. I spent hours cleaning my suitcase. DO NOT STAY HERE. Mehr
"Allogi arti artisti venice, italy"
After arriving from the santa lucia train station, the hotel is easy to locate.just 10 mins walk.. At the reception, we were welcomed by Adbul and he was such a nice guy.. Patiently answering our inquiries and giving tips on how to go around venice. Our room is at the 4th floor, with all our luggages and my backpack my wife and I were surprised that […] there is no elevator. Already exhausted from our long journey, its such an added misery to make our way up thru the stairs with our stuff. Upon getting at our room, its just enough for us..not so much for if you have big luggages but its whats expected. The bathroom was shared and its relatively clean, but be sure to wake up early as some of the guest sharing the toilet is not considerate of others. Venice is such a extraordinary city, expect everything to be very expensive though. Mehr
"Convenient"
Easy access to and from the central train station and major attractions were a big plus on this location. Easy access to the Grand Canal. Quiet location.
"Venice for cheap: what you pay for is what you get"
4 of us stayed one night at the Hotel. It's located right next to the train station, to where we arrived early morning, so the location was the most convenient. The hotel management was generous both at arrival and at departure, for letting us to leave the bags at the hotel or refresh in the lobby bathroom, so that we could go off sightseeing. On the […] other hand, they did not have a secure dedicated area for the bags, we were told to "leave them under the stairs" in the back. Worked out, we found our bags untouched at both occasions. They could only give us rooms on separate floors at check in. We only found out there that the bathrooms were not in the room, but on the other end of the hall. There is no elevator, which is not unusual in Venice, but definitely not for people with preexisting conditions. None of our rooms were ready at 1pm, and the maid threw a nasty fit when we tried to get in (we met her while she was making a personal phone call from one of the guestrooms). We were given different rooms after some negotiation with the front desk. The man there was trying to be helpful, but there is no helping: the place is badly managed. Bathroom situation: if you paid for a room with bathroom, you are given a key to a private bathroom somewhere in the building. It has a toilet, a small sink, and the tiniest shower stall ever (best fit for children under 5). The public bathroom that every floor has is generously sized, and has a bidet, but may be used by anyone in the building. Our room was a double bed, our 2 aunts were given a room with two single beds. Their room was so narrow, like a closet, that the door could not be open all the way because the bed was in the way. Both rooms had air conditioning, much welcome in the extreme heat of August. Our beds were extremely soft, not recommended to anyone with back problems. Other than a small TV and an out of order safe, there were no other amenities or even furniture in the room. Hallway lights were on a sensor that tu Mehr
"Agli Artisti-Venice"
Got upgraded after the 2nd night and that was wonderful. No lift so going to the fourth floor was brutal with 2 large suitcases. But I just see it as exercise and a minor inconvenience. Otherwise, very convenient to station, vaporettos, restaurants galore and not far from the Pl de Roma where there is both a post office and large supermercato.

"Hotel - Alloggi Agli Artisti"
This was a lovely little hotel in a great location.
"Don't expect much"
If you don't expect much then you won't be to disappointed. SHARED BATHROOMS was not for us. Breakfast ok but limited to one cup of coffee???
"Cozy hotel with a perfect location by train"
The hotel is very close to the main train station in Venice. I had a pleasant stay.
"Excellent Location, Poor Value"
Great location, right next to the Venice train station and WaterBus boarding points. Like everything else in Venice the hotel is very poor value for money. Venice WaterBus pass is a waste of money unless you plan to make a lot of trips (expect waiting for WaterBus at each boarding point) Hotel Pros : Nice continental breakfast, very courteous and […] helpful staff Hotel Cons : Small rooms, tight bathrooms, mosquitos, inadequate toileteries\amenities in bathrooms, rooms need to be renovated\updated Comprable to a good motel in U.S Mehr
"Alloggi Agli Artisti Ask for a low floor"
Booked this hotel for the location very close to the railway station and Piazzalle Roma coach station for airport transfer. Rooms are clean and basic, air conditioning adequate. There are no lifts so lugging a large suitcase up 3 flights of stairs is very good exercise!
"Good Location"
The only thing this hotel has is a good location. It's right in Venice and you can walk everywhere. However, I would only recommend you stay here if there are no other options in Venice. The hotel is not very clean, the rooms are extremely small, the service is impersonal and their breakfast is horrible.
"Warning. Do not stay here"
I am warning the world. Do not stay at this hotel. I booked room with a private bath and got a room with a shared bath. There was no internet or air conditioning. The staff got me a room with a private bath the second night unfortunately it had no water. If you want normal things such as AC, water, and a private bath, you better go somewhere else.

"Good location !"
Clean, close from train station (2 minutes). quite street!.
"Alloggi Agli Artisti"
RETURN STAY AFTER TRIP. ON GROUND FLOOR THIS TIME. STILL NEED RENOVATING
"ALLOGGI AGLI ARTISTI"
NO LIFT. HAD TO CARRY BAGS UPSTAIRS. ROOM NEEDS RENOVATION. FURNISHING NEED UPDATING. BREAKFAST ONLT GOOD THING
"Great hotel and even better location!"
We enjoyed our short stay here. It's close to the train station, but far enough away that you get all the riff raff.
"Great deal for Venice"
Hotel does not have an elevator. 4 floors. Have to walk up all them with the luggage. Hotel is right around the corner from the train station. Great location. About 15 minutes to Rialto Bridge and 30 minutes to St Marcos Square. The breakfast was really disapointing. The coffee was good. Not to many options. All the croissants had apricot jam in them. […] Hotel has air conditioning. The shared bathrooms are big. Mehr
Hotel was okay. No hot water was disappointing. Location was okay down a narrow street but well traveled.
"Good hotel"
Very close to the venice main train station, which means it is very far from Doge's Palace. Takes half an hour (by boat ofcourse) to get there. Clean hotel. I guess price was expensive but compared to others with water view it may not be. Good staff.
"Alloggi Agli Artist - decent stay"
No complaints whatsoever with respect to cleanliness. Not very good value for money, but then this is the case with most people around the tourist season. Our room was small, just enough space for 2 beds. Friendly receptionist. Good location - close to main bus station, and water bus points.

"Convenient location only advantage"
The convenient location was the only good thing about this place. Very small rooms, no elevators to the third floor, their definition of a private bathroom was three doors down the hall. Free breakfast was on overrated continental breakfast
"Great find for the money spent"
Despite minor problems such as non-working safe deposit box and some power issues that had been resolved fairly quickly, this hotel is located perfectly and provides for the nice base right in the middle of everything. Shared bathrooms were clean for the most of the time (some factors just can't be controlled!). The biggest disadvantage is the absence […] of elevators, and stairs are quite steep! Great hotel otherwise! Mehr
"Bad experience"
1. We booked for a Double Room but were given a Twin Room instead. When we checked with the concierge, we were told that they '"sometimes Double can also be Twin"! As this was our Honeymoon trip you can imagine that we were very upset. 2. The lobby looks nice and new but the rest of the hotel is completely different - Old and dark due to lack of lighting. 3. […] Mirror in the room was hung so high up that I can't use it at all. 4. TV was not working due to extremely poor satellite reception 5. Very old and noisy air conditioner. 6. The lack of elevator was a killer especially when you had to carry your luggage all the way up. Very dim stairways. Mehr
