"Resort at Galena -very nice"
We stayed at the one bedroom condo and we were very pleased with the comfort and the room. The room was very clean, the kitchen was equipped with all the kitchen supplies. The kids enjoyed the pool and the game room. Overall, it was a very good stay and I would definetely recommend this place for families.

The fireplace between the bedroom and bathroom was incredibly romantic! The staff was extremely friendly, the room was nicely sized, and everything was very clean. Two thumbs up!

Hotel is convenient to Galena and Eagle Ridge. The room has nice amenities to help you relax and offer you the option to stay in and make any convenience snack or meal you like.

"Resort at Galena - AMAZING!!!"
That's all I can say about this hotel!! It's AMAZING! The front desk staff were tremendous and extremely helpful. And the rooms were wonderful. Very clean and had great views. I can't say enough about this hotel, I would recommend it to everyone!
"Definitely stay here again"
My wife and I staid here for a weekend getaway. To go back to the place were I proposed to her just a year ago. Your only bought a short 10 min drive from downtown Galena. One thing that you should know is the really name of the hotel is World Mark by Wyndham. And it is located right off of rout 20, if you follow your GPS you will end up driving right […] past it and then stopping in the middle of the road and all you see is horses and cows. Mehr

Very quiet location. A little too far from Galena downtown. May be really nice during the winter with the fireplace in the room.
"Bed could have been better."
Wonderful hotel! Room was very nice, fireplace, jacuzzi tub, tv, stove, and came with all sorts of dishes. Biggest downfall was sleeping on a Murphy bed. The bed was terrible. Other than that the hotel was great far enough in the rural area to enjoy being away from everything but close enough to Galena to enjoy the shops.
"One word, AMAZING!"
From the minute we walked in, I knew I was in for a suprise. The front desk girls were helpful and had a smile the entire time. When we opened the door to our unit, I was so impressed. The unit was laid out so well, from the high ceilings to the incredible view of the Galena countryside. The experience was a 5+, and will be back for sure!!!

"Weekend Get Away"
This hotel was a wonderful place to stay. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to our family and friends. The staff was great, the rooms were extremely clean and the location was perfect. It was located right outside the town of Galena, IL, just far enough to offer that tranquail country living and gorgeous views. Very satisfied with our stay at this hotel. A suggestion: the hotel is a little difficult to locate at night----our Garmin had it located 1/2 mile further down the road. A discrete, well lighted sign would help. We were not the only persons who have had difficulty locating the hotel.

Beautiful condo,well appointed. Great pool and gym, as well as game room. Peaceful surroundings. 6 miles from town,but easy drive.The 1 bathroom is huge. It would have been nice to use some of that space for another half bath area. Great value. Will be back.

All my choice hotels were booked, so I was forced to stay here. It was inexpensive and had a bed that folded from the wall. We were scared!! However, when we got there the room was amazing. The place was beutiful. Everything was nice and clean. It was also very quiet. We were able to rest with no problems. We will definely go back. The inside of the rooms were great and they even had laundry machines!!. We love it!!!
"Birthday Surprise"
I wanted to surprise my Wife with a weekend getaway to Galena for her birthday and we both ended up surprised at the quality of the Resort. We were nervous that we had been accidentally upgraded for what we paid per night. There should be more pictures on the web as the ones posted do not do the rooms justice. being on the 3rd floor and facing east is what made it so good for us. We wouldn't have it any other way if we go again.
"Resort at Galena: Great room - tiny kitchen"
I rented a studio because I was unable to get a one bedroom for the dates of my stay. The room was clean with modern appointments; a big flat screen, huge jacuzzi, double-sided fireplace. The Murphy bed was surprisingly comfortable and easy to operate. There's a little balcony with a bistro table and chairs that provide a beautiful view of the valley […] and of the stars at night. There were lots of cooking and dining utensils in the room. Pool, sauna, whirlpool and exercise room. Two gas grills in the public patio area. Only two complaints; 1) The dvd player was hooked up wrong. I got a purple picture and tinny sound. Someone had plugged component cables into the composite cable jacks. But I just rerouted the cables myself and I had a great picture and sound in about 5 minutes. I told the front desk about it in the morning. 2) Even after reading other reviews, I was still surprised by how tiny the "kitchen" area was. A cooktop, dorm fridge, bar sink and cabinets are built into a wall along the hall... a very cramped area to cook in. Those are my only complaints. Overall, I was very satisfied and will book rooms here again. But, I'll book earlier so I can get a one bedroom next time. Mehr

"Must consider if going to Galena"
It was my first trip to Galena and I was unsure of what to expect but was pleasantly surprised when I go to Galena again I will definitely try to stay at this resort again. Love the quiet hours 10 p.m. to 8 a.m.
"Pleasantly surprised!!"
My husband and I were thrilled with this condo. We were pleasantly suprised by the size of the jacuzzi and enjoyed the fireplace. The small kitchen came handy. Longhollow is a great option if you are skiing at Chestnut Mountain (30 minutes drive), it has home-like atmosphere, kind staff members and overall should be 3-4 stars... We will come back.

"Good stay"
My wife and I checked into the condo late Thursday afternoon. The studeo unit is small but it had enough rooom to move around. There is a area they call a kitchen which consists of a sink, table, microwave and small fridge. There is cleaning supplies under the sink and pots, pans and silverware in the closet. One item that was strange was the fireplace […] between the living room area and the bathroom. You can clearly see into the bathroom from the living area but there is also a wooden fence that you can put in front of the fireplace to block anyone trying to look through. On the bathroom side of the fireplace is the whirlpool tub which was nice. The view looking out the back of the complex is great. The murphy bed was extremely uncomfortable. Make sure you bring your own pillows as there are only two thin pillows in the unit. Mehr

"Loved the jacuzzi tub!"
The hotel staff were excellent, and the accomodations were nice looking. The only problem that I had, the bed was really uncomfortable. The mattress was way to firm, but aside from that it was decent for the price.
"Outstanding Condo"
We have a very enjoyable one night stay here. It really did exceed our expectations as it very definitely is more of a 3 or 4 star accomodation than a 2! The only thing we found that was questionable to us was the fact there was a fireplace that was in the middle of the living room and the bathroom; you can see through it and if you look you can see […] people doing whatever in the bathroom. As we checked out I mentioned it to the desk clerk and she said that there should have been a "fence" there to prevent anyone seeing into the bathroom. She said she would immediately rectify this in the room we occupied. Guess we could have called down and they would have done it the night before also. We loved the place and will go back (and make sure the "fence" is in place!!! Mehr
