The Grand Lodge Crested Butte - Crested Butte

Der Sommer ist in Crested Butte erkennbar die Nebensaison. Alles ist auf den Wintersport ausgerichtet. Dementsprechend wenig war auch das Hotel frequentiert, jedoch waren alle Einrichtungen vorgehalten, ebenso der Pool, Hot Tub und Sauna. Allerdings haben wir die zuletzt genannten Einrichtungen nicht genutzt (wir waren ja der Landschaft wegen in Crested […] Butte) und in der Sauna roch es nicht nach Schwedenkräutern, sondern ziemlich "muffig". Das Frühstücksbuffet haben wir nicht genutzt, weil das zum ohnehin üppigen Zimmerpreis nochmals knapp zehn Dollar pro Nase gekostet hätte. Eine Reklamation wegen quitschender Badezimmertür wurde schnell und zur Zufriedenheit erledigt: Der Mitarbeiter hatte sogar noch seine Visitenkarte hinterlassen, der zu entnehmen war, was er gemacht hatte. We checked in really late and left pretty early the next day. It was a nice stay for that. We stayed in late April, so there weren't many people around, which was nice and didn't effect the quality of service.

We had a very pleasant stay, helpful staff. Recommended Black Tie ski rental which was excellent for us as we only had 2 days to ski, theirs is an excellent service.More cookies with the hot cider please

This is the 2nd time we have stayed here and have never been disappointed. The staff goes above and beyond and are very friendly. Hot cookies and cocoa/cider in the afternoons in the lobby, board games, fireplace.....The kids LOVE the pool area and the set-up of the indoor/outdoor pool. We've never eaten at the restaurant.

The hotel was great! My wife and I brought our dog for a Thanksgiving weekend getaway and everyone was very accommodating for all three of us. The location was very nice - had we actually been there to ski, it would have been perfect, just steps from the base. Nice large rooms, comfortable beds, a relaxing and affordable massage, great pool and hot […] tub, and a delicious Thanksgiving-themed buffet dinner. The mountain base was fun and laid-back, I don't think we leashed our dog once and no one even looked twice at him playing in the snow. We had a fantastic time and can't wait to come back! Mehr

Because we weere stayiing out of season the restraunts in the hotel were close but it was a large room, very comfortable and service from the front desk was great.

We caught the lodge in off season. The rates were solid, hot tub was fantastic, and the restaurant was closed. NBD. Crested Butte has plenty of dining options and reasonably priced booze. Pizza, Mexican, Elk, Coffee... etc. NOTE: No glass in the pool area. This is a big no-no. Oops! The Lodge team is very good about helping your drink into a plastic […] cup and glass bottles to the trash. Cocktailers would raise the resort a full star in on my scale. Service here is high quality. They get it. And I like it. Crested Butte is a very cool place to spend a weekend. We'd have liked to stay another week. I might recommend the off season. I’d defiantly recommend renting ATV or UTV and storming up to the Continental Divide. The elevation is at 12,152ft or something. We found it to have a bit of snow in Oct. Awesome views. The locals are interesting. Everything about the area kind of is. I get the impression most folks have generally grown tired of silly tourist questions. All-n-all the town offers top notch service with a touch of locals rule attitude. Mehr

Over all the Grand Lodge was a great place to stay. We stayed in a corner room with views of the mountains on two sides. The aspens were beautiful when we were there. My only complaint is that they didn't have any kind of breakfast included. In my opinion, the price of the room was a little on the high side, so my husband and I were a little surprised […] that we were expected to each pay $9.50 for the breakfast buffet. We stayed in a suite that was beautiful...the outdoor pool, hot tub, and fire pit were fabulous...as you lounge in or near the pool, there is a beautiful view of the ski slopes and surrounding mountains. We'll definitely be back!

This hotel offered a shuttle to town that runs till 10:00 pm. Allows visitors to see the town, visit some of the local favorite bars and not have to drive. The doors into the hotel do no require keys, so security is lacking a little. Nice rooms, but paper thin walls.

We found The Grand Lodge very comfortable. We were there just before their slow season, so the restaurant was only open for breakfast. The staff was very helpful and told us we'd have to go into town for dinner. Only suggestion for improvement would be larger, automatic door into the parking lot. it was difficult to bring things into the hotel on the […] trolley. Mehr

The hotel is very nice. Clean, quiet and in a great location. The only negative was the bed. It was so hard that sleeping was on and off all night.

room very cold but very big with refrig. took awhile to warm. no heat in bath. both bedside lights needed bulbs replaced an refrig.was not very cold. it needed to be defrosted. had problems with black-out drapes. they were off track. problems minor but front desk sent someone eventually. Hotel quiet because off season. would stay again & recommend.

This is the second time we have stayed at the Grand Lodge. Both times have been very pleasant, comfortable and relaxing. We love the indoor/outdoor pool and hottub. Also love the kitchenette in the room, always a fun challenge to see how many meals you can make with a single burner stove and microwave. We had a great off-season stay at the Grand Lodge. It was close to the lift for our mountain bikes, and has the most amazing hot tub (plus a cool fire pit). The room was a bit tight with two king beds but the kitchenette was fantastic and everything was very nicely appointed. The breakfast buffet wasn't the best (some things were stale), but they adjusted […] our bill without question. All the staff were very helpful and friendly. Overall we had a nice time there. They really need their own coffee bar so one doesn't have to walk next door to get a latte, though! Mehr

We heard this was the oldest and most reasonably priced hotel in Mt Crested Butte - but it was very pleasant. The lobby was spacious and charming, the room (a king suite) was very nice. It had two TVs and two ceiling fans. The bathroom shower had nice tile. We really enjoyed our stay. The front desk staff was more helpful than the Chamber for hiking/biking options. The bike locker area was very nice and they have locks to loan out. The pool was fabulous and the hotel is located next to a bus stop for the free shuttle to CB. Our room was great, except the nights got VERY hot with NO A/C. Grand Lodge is in a greatt location in Mt. Crested Butte. The restaurant and restaurant staff are great. Cassandra was frequently our server. She always remembered us and welcomed us with a smile. The room was ok but could have been better. One phone and the room safe did not work on check-in. They were repaired within 4 hours. Refrigerator was iced […] over so much the door would not close. Beds were consistently made-up in a strange manner so the sheets were always too short to pull up. Stayed for a week and don't think the room was ever vacuumed. As with most hotels in this area, it is not air conditioned. A fan was supplied, but did not move much cool air from the window to the interior bedroom. Better air circulation (even if not air condidtioned) woujld help. Extended our stay one day - but key card was not updated so had to go down to lobby to get it activated. All in all - it was ok - but the numerous minor items make it a B and not an A. Mehr

The room was really clean and the bed comfortable. We had a little trouble getting the key card to work and told the front desk. They said that they would take care of it, but when returning from dinner we still had to swipe the card a number of times before we could enter. This is a very nice hotel and overall we were pleased with everything except for the fact that we could not sleep at night because it was so dreadfully hot. Our bedroom was not located near the window (as was the living room) so that made it even worse. There was a fan which we put in the window and turned the ceiling fans up full blast. Helped a little […] but not much. Also the couch in the living area was very uncomfortable. But it was quiet and clean and the kitchenette area is wonderful. I would stay here again if it was winter and I was there to go skiiing. In summer, I would find accomodations elsewhere. Mehr

We had to change the date of our stay and arrived a day early as a "walk In". The hotel was very full but the manager went out of his way to make sure he found a room and went out of his way to accommodate us.

This lodge is a great place to stay and has a convenient shuttle service to Crested Butte. The hotel is pet friendly. The staff are professional and knowledgable about the area.

This hotel is great! I especially loved their hot tub and pool. Everything was top notch. The Grand Lodge is a beautiful hotel! The staff is friendly and helpful. Be aware, as with most Colorado ski lodges, that there is no air conditioning; however, it is warm only in late July and August. Hotel was very convenient to the ski lift for biking. The enclosure for locking up bikes was a plus as was the bike wash. Room was clean and well supplied with kitchen items. Carpet was very worn and needs replacing.

We went for a bluegrass festival at the base of the ski area. This was the least expensive lodging option in Mt. Crested Butte (the town.) The desk folks were very helpful, as was the rest of the staff. It was SO nice to be in such a convenient location. The only […] issue was that it was warm - at 9300 feet elevation... there was a big box fan that we kept in the window all night- without that we would have been too warm. Nice place - great service! And, free parking (which is not the case with other hotels). Only complaint was there was no air conditioning - and up on the 4th floor it was VERY hot throughout the day / early evening. Only a problem for a few weeks of the year. Otherwise - great value.

We found the Grand Lodge in Crested Butte a wonderful place to stay. The rooms were very spacious, clean and comfortable and the service staff was very accommodating. They are in a great location right at the base of Mt. Crested Butte close to the chairlifts and hiking and biking trails. I'm always a little wary of resort towns--the employees of hotels and restaurants are typically ski bums putting in their time for "the man" between runs. NOT IN CRESTED BUTTE! The young staff at the Grand Lodge Crested Butte were very friendly and helpful. Above and beyond at the front desk, concierge desk, and restaurant. We appreciated their dog-friendly […] policy, and that they put us up in a suite close to an exit to accommodate our pup. The room was very clean and comfortable, and we enjoyed our walks around the village in the mornings and evenings. Would definitely stay here again and recommend this hotel to others. Mehr

Lots of restaurants in Crested Butte but the front desk sent me to the best, Maxwell's. Hotel was very clean and very nice. we went off-season and everything was still great.

Great location for skiing, not totally convenient for town. Bed was terrible - slept really badly.

Went in the off season to mountain bike so things were slow but the hotel/condo was first class and the off season rate was the icing on the cake. Recommended.

Good size room for 4 people. Love the seperate sleeping areas of the "king suite". Access to the lifts were good, not quite ski in/out but only a short walk. Staff was extremley helpful getting us into our room early and ski valet was very convienent. For the price... top notch.

Hotel room was not inspected before we arrived. There were light bulbs out, fire alarm was beeping due to dead battery. Attendant was prompt with recovery.
