It's far from the city center but with Luas (green line) you get there in 15 minutes. My room was large, clean and confortable. It seems to be a new hotel but the decoration is awful, mainly in the lobby and corridors.

Stay was great in this hotel. Room was modern and very clean. Short walk to luas,get to town in 15 mins! Very enjoyable stay

Love the Hotel decor. Staff very friendly & efficient although receptionist could not advise us on local restaurants, we had to do our own research. The breakfast needs improvement, it is definitely not up to standard of a 4 * Hotel. Smoothies & Juices were warm, cooked breakfast was only tepid & absolutely tasteless. Toasting bread was doughy & there […] was no homemade brown bread. Coffee was awful. Would stay there again but would not have breakfast. Wonderful rooms, friendly staff, 7 minute walk to LUIS station to take the 15 minute train ride up into Dublin. Only thing was getting charged 7 euro for a phone call to pay my M50 toll. That really left a sour taste in my mouth.

Wonderful modern and minimalist hotel. If you are wanting to go into City Centre via the Luas it’s a short 5 minute walk to the Kilmacud stop, and then a 15 minute ride to City Centre. The staff at the Crystal Bar were amazing, and very friendly. The food served at My Thai and the Crystal Bar were great. If we find ourselves back in Dublin we will […] stay here again! Mehr

This is a good hotel to stay in, have stayed 3 times and it hits the sport, near dundrum, bit out from city centre but otherwise a good hotel to stay in

All good apart from 2 single mattresses pushed together on double bed frame!!! Kept falling inbetween the two!!! Not great but apart from that, everything else fab.

Myself and my husband stayed in the Beacon for a romantic night. The hotel itself is lovely and we booked a King room which was nice and big but little things irked, like only one set of robes, the movies or radio was not set up on the TV and showed 'checked out' and the volumn on the TV was all over the place. It was mainly the small details that stopped […] this making it a perfect little hotel. We didn't book B&B but they did have deals for dinner and breakfast of €40 pp, but we didn't take it. Breakfast was €15 pp if you got a receipt from reception the day before and €18pp if you went down in the morning. Seems to be a standard price, but you would wana be a good eater in the morning to get your monies worth. Mehr

Beacon Hotel was nice as usual - but there was a real problem for me this time: loud blaring music in the lobby all night, a DJ the hotel brought in. It was really crazy I thought. It meant the hotel was out of use for me and I only slept in the room, which was a nice room. Apart from the music, which was a big factor, hotel was good.

had a lovely one night stay.lovely food in Thai restaurant and found the facilities second to none.Staff were brilliant and I would recommend your hotel as a top class destination. Many thanks.

We stayed in the hotel for one night, but would not be in a hurry back. The skirting board in the bedroom badly needed painting. The carpet near the bed had stains in it. The marble around the sink had stains on it. The fan in the bathroom didn't work. However, the mattress was extremely comfortable.

Have stayed in this hotel on a number of occasions now as very convenient to family in Sandyford. Find this hotel clean and staff friendly. Ate in hotel bar and the food was fantastic. Also very close to Dundrum shopping centre which is great.

There is a gate for residents, that opens and closes constantly so ask for a room at the front of the hotel and above third floor

A nice hotel, easy to get to from the M50. Hotel car park could be better signposted. Hotel staff excellent. Definitely will stay there again...

IF you get a deal - it's great value.

Had a lovely time here at the Beacon Hotel. The room we had (701) had fantastic balcony on both sides with views of Howth and Dublin Bay on one side and the mountains on the other. The decor of the hotel is a pleasent change from most other hotels. The food both in the bar and My Thai restaurant was very good and not too expensive. Dundrum shoppping […] centre is just 10 mins away.Staff were very nice and helpful and a big plus for the hotel is the free parking. All in all I would strongly recommend this hotel both for business or pleasure. Mehr

Just off the M50 very easy to reach from south of Dublin and near the Luas. Room very clean and comfortable and the bathroom was lovely. Bar was nice and food loked good but we didn't actually get to eat there. No problem recommending for a short stay.

excellent location to Dundrum Shopping Centre. Rooms clean and comfy

We only stayed at the hotel one nite but the room was excellent, funky decor with a hint of class. A great spot for a young fashionable couple!! We didn't stay in the hotel for drinks etc as we had an event to attend at leopardstowns racecourse but I could imagine havin a gr8 nite there, either just a nite out or a function. This is a gorgeous hotel. Very clean, very modern and very comfortable. However, it is in an industrial estate and you need to drive to get anywhere close. I was also annoyed that a review I read had said it was "walking distance from Marlay Park" which was why I chose to stay there as we were going to a concert. IT IS NOT IN WALKING DISTANCE TO ANYTHING. […] We ended up having to taxi there and back spending 11-15 euros each way. It is a beautiful hotel if you plan to relax in the hotel. The bar there is great in the evenings. Dundrum and their big shopping mall with cinema, bars and restaurants is about a 5-10min drive away which is a great way to spend a day. Just be sure about why you want to stay here. Again I repeat the hotel is great and beautiful as a hotel. Mehr

There are not a lot of restaurants in the area and the hotel restaurant had a Thai themed menu. They had a beef/lamb dish and a seafood special each evening. Quantities of food were more than adequate and the quality from my perspective was fine. The only drawback of the hotel was internet service. While the service itself was fine, it was very expensive. […] For a 24 hour period service cost 10 euros. About day ten I wised up and got a broadband stick modem for 50 euros that would provide about a month of service. If you are coming from the states pick up a broadband modem before you come. Mehr

The hotel is very secure and you can rest in comfort knowing you are not going to be disturbed. The noise control is extra-ordinary. Other than an occasional door slamming, there is no external noise. The room is very spacious. If you are a tourist, there are features of the process of getting to the room and features in the room that were not adequately […] explained - such as how to operate the elevator and how to activate the lights in the room. Any question directed to the staff was immediately and politely addressed. As the internet is free and access to the internet is not that expensive, the fees charged for access to the internet are excessive. Ten Euros for 24 hours access, when you are probably sleeping 8 of those and out and about another 8 is perceived as a raw deal. The menu in the restaurant is limited but every meal has been excellent - pricey, but excellent. I have been here six days and may need to stay another four. There has been no consideration of looking for a different place to stay. Mehr

The hotel was the perfect location for us as we were attending a concert very close by, the next day we got the luas line to dundrum for shopping. i think that the hotel might be too far out of the city if you are planning on sight seeing although it is easy accessible by the luas line(tram system) which is a 5 min walk away. The hotel is a modern funky […] hotel and we really enjoyed our stay here, the thai restaurant is exceptional and we also enjoyed cocktails in the crystal bar! The staff are friendly and the vibe is funky and relaxed, which is just what we were looking for! Mehr

Very nice hotel nice comfortable rooms and good value breakfast the only dissapointment was it was supposed to be a 20 minute walk to dun drum shopping centre and cinema complex but it wasn't in walking distance at all you need to take your car

An excellent hotel but in an unusual location - sited at the edge of an industrial estate and closely linked to a hospital. Both bedroom and bathroom was incredibly spacious & perfectly matched the offical hotel photographs. One warning ensure reception does not take an 'advance authorisation payment' from a debit card, despite assurances to the contrary, […] the funds will be debited! Mehr

i stayed at beacon hotel because my wife was at the beacon hospital next door. The hotel is attached to the hospital which is very convenient. I had a meal in the bar which was top class and very reasonably priced.However i was not impressed with the bedroom, much too modern for me, lights under the bed yet no sockets at the bedside i had to get an […] extension lead from reception as i use a cpap machine at night which needs a power point.The only reason i would stay again is it is beside the Hosp from which i think it gets alot of business.Convenient for the luas but not ideal for shopping or sight seeing in Dublin. Was a bit difficult to rate the convenience of location and surrounding area as it all depends on why you are there. If, like me, you had business in the nearby Sandyford Industrial Estate then it is an excellent location. If you are looking for something convenient for the city centre, bars, restaurants, clubs etc then it isn't! It was located on a […] major road but I did not hear any traffic noise (but was on 7th floor). Could be more of a problem at lower levels. Rooms are highly uncoventional in design (in a good way!) - not what you would expect from a business hotel. Excellent breakfast (not included in any one of hotels.com package rates) but good value at 13.95 Euro for full cooked breakfast. Near a shopping centre which I did not have time or reason to go to but únless that stays open in the evening and has restaurants then you are obliged to eat in the hotel. That said it has an excellent Thai restaurant that is regarded well enough (according to my colleagues who live in the area) for non residents to come to. Free WiFi throughout hotel - even in my room on 7th floor. Did not use it but there is parking underneath the hotel - do not know charges for that. Apparently there is a sister hotel (Beacon Morgan) in the centre if you want the same design but in a more central and lively location. Mehr

A lighting chandelier on the ground in the lobby, lights under the bed, a glass door to the luxury shower and toilet in the bedroom, all make for a refreshingly different stay in a hotel sited in a modern building near to Leopardstown race course. Free underground parking, nice difference too. Nice staff. We did not eat in the hotel but saw nice food […] being served. Mehr

The hotel is really nice. Very cool design and great rooms...I was just really shocked by the lack of quality WIFI in the rooms...It was as slow if not slower than Dial-Up.

Cool hotel - ideal for hanging around lounging. Good bar, thai food and cool decor throughout. Not central for anyone wishing to explore Dublin but it does have a tram link five mins walk away

This may be the most over-rated hotel we have stayed at in the last three years...nothing about it is worthy of 4-stars...it is two stars at best. Hotel and room were very basic and needed help. As well, a nightclub or bar somewhere below our room kept us up until very, very late each night with loud music. Staff was nice and allowed me to check in […] very early, for which i was much appreciative after an all-night flight. The hotel is no where near the city center - very inconvenient and expensive to travel by cab. I would not stay here again or recommend it. Mehr

this hotel is really nice i stay in a lot of hotels and this is one of the best i have ever stayed in its really clean and great value for money the food is excellent will defiantly call back soon and the luas tram is a 5 minute walk

cant understand why the lights in the corridors and the bar toilets were set to the lowest poss setting thou!!!

Stayed at this hotel for 2 nights with my mum, sister and friend recently, I have stayed at this hotel on business aswell. It is a lovely hotel really "funky" and the food was great, the cocktails we fab also!!! It is in a great loation for shopping in the near by Dundrum town centre. Very modern - trendy decor. Close to centre via the LUAS train - 5 min walk from hotel and about 20min into centre. Lively bar at night. Roomservice food was reasonably priced by Irish standards. Would defo stay there again. Only complaints was the bed was a little stiff and there was no Gym.
