Zimmer sowie bar und Restaurant in diesem Hotel sind super sauber, gemütlich eingerichtet. Der victorianische Stiel ist wirklich beeindruckend. Mendocino ist ein sehr gemütliches Dorf voller kleiner Geschäfte. Die Umgebung ist wunderschön, Wälder, Brandungen und Meer soweit das Auge reicht. Insgesamt lässt sich nur gutes über dieses Hotel sagen.

"Heartly and friendly stay"
Very nice little place to stay. Warm and personal staff, yummy, freshly prepared breakfast. Nice place on the way along the beautiful pacific coast. Just a 5 minute walk to the historic steam train

Stayed here with my boyfriend because we were touring some of our favorite Northern California Microbreweries and North Coast Brewing was a 3 minute walk from the porch of this B&B. We were definitely the youngest clientel, but don't let that discourage you! This place was so relaxing and our room, Granny's Attic only had a bath tub, but the room provided […] us with lavendar bath salts. I couldn't have asked for a more relaxing vacation. "The Country Inn - A quiet, lovely place to relax"
I booked this lovely little inn for my husband and I to celebrate his birthday. I had called the day before to let Cynthia know we would be arriving late. She let me know that there would be an envelope with everything I needed in the mailbox on the porch. She was also nice enough to let me know that most of the restaurants would be closed after 9:00. […] The envelope was waiting for us and did have all we needed to find our room. The room was cozy and inviting. We were happy with having a shower not a tub and the bathroom was very clean. We slept soundly and felt very comfortable. I would recommend this to anyone who would like to get away and relax. Very nice and a great price. Mehr
"Sweet and charming for a getaway week end"
Peaceful and quiet, if this is your expectation, go for it. Very convenient location as close by the Skunk train, the Sea glass beach, the restaurants. Staff really nice and friendly, helpful and dedicated. Definitely recommended for those who want a cozy room and homestyle breakfast for the morning.

The accomodation was friendly and really quick. The hotel has a beautiful charm. The rooms are very comfortable a bit narrow. There is a whirlpool outside which can be used at anytime. "Country Inn in Fort Bragg- just great"
The breakfast is a selfmade surprise, every morning something else and it tastes just great. You reach Downtown within a few minutes by foot and the beach is also close. The atmosphere was friendly and the owner is very helpfull. The hot tub in the backyard is just awsome and can be used at any time.
We could not get the spa bubbles to work; breakfast was late but good once we got it. It was clean and bed was comfortable. The place was simple and the lady was nice and accommodating.

"The Country Inn - cozy B&B in Ft. Bragg"
From the warm welcome and very painless check-in, it was clear that our hostess Lisa would make sure that everything would be to our satisfaction - and it was. We were fortunate enough to be considered for an upgrade, and we thoroughly enjoyed the log burning in the fireplace. A simple, but excellent, breakfast concluded out stay. "Just like home"
We were led to believe because of price that the Inn was full but only people in hotel. Children of manager watching TV in lounge and evidence of several dogs at residence. Place too small for privacy, felt unable to talk of make any noise. Vacation was to get away from home, not to live with new family. Good for bed and breakfast but not good for private […] get-away. No television in rooms, Fireplace and king bed was nice. For price breakfast not included. Manager was nice enough to let us out of second day reservation, due to inabliity to relax in such enviorment with bedroom next to Dining Room. Would not recommend unless you are looking for a family environment and just a place to get out of rain. Just not our cup of tea. We had a great one night stay at the Country Inn. It started with a cheerful and helpful welcome, continued with use of the hot tub, and was topped off with a great home cooked breakfast in the morning. The hotel is close to the North Coast Brewery, which serves good food and world-class beers.
"The Country Inn, a place to avoid"
In a 5 star hotel which the Country Inn is priced at, arriving at 1:00 pm is not a problem. Should the room not be available there are provisions for leaving your luggage. At the Country Inn they simply refuse to answer the door until 3:00 pm. After surviving the aggravation of check in, we arrived at our small room with a fireplace as ordered. We were […] told that we couldn’t use the fireplace because we didn’t pay for one. It seems to me that any item placed in my room I should be able to use. After a discussion we were given one self lighting log which lasted about two hours. Should I want a second log; the cost was $ 20.00 The electric heater in the room regardless of the setting would run until I got so hot that I started perspiring before it would turn off. Then it would stay off until I got really cold. Sleep that night was difficult and restless. In the common room the electric heater had electrical tape applied to the switches which prevented it use. The fake electric wood burning stove in the room was unable to heat the room. This B&B is just another example of a person renting out a section of their home to subsidize their income. Customer service is lacking if not completely absent. Definitely avoid the Country Inn. Mehr

On main street. Easy to find. Operator did a great job. Only minus was no shower in our room.
"A Great B & B"
Somehow I had no idea that I was going to a B & B. It was a very pleasant surprise. Our room was clean and very cute. The bathroom was functional, if a little on the small side. Breakfast was a great hot meal. This stay turned out to be a highlight of our trip down the coast. A word of caution to you that need to be connected - no TV or WIFI

"Would like to have stayed longer!"
We called ahead as we were running late, Our hostess made reccomendations for places to eat before closing and made arrangements for our late arrival. We really appreciated her help! This is an historic building and has turn of the century charm! It is clean, and the rooms were elegantly decorated in victorian style and extermely comfortable. A wonderful […] breakfast was served in 2 shifts for the convenience of guests. The Ocean view room also overlooks HWY 1 but noise was minimal and we had our own bathroom! We would go back anytime! "Country Inn a Delight"
Our stay was delightful from beginning till end. Our bedroom was both charming and relaxing--great attention was obviously given to both the accommodations and the little details that delight the senses. Breakfast was delicious and a cut beyond the ordinary. We will recommend this B&B to any and all.

Good location, certain amount of charm, very friendly service. Hot tub was nice. Breakfast was enjoyable: hot egg and potato dishes served in a cozy common room. Pillows were tiny and my neck hurts now. Wine in the afternoon was a carafe of white-grape-juice-like substance, not too palatable.

Cynthia and Bruce were very welcoming and professional. My room was very country quaint, quiet, and clean. "Never again....."
I did not care for the way we were treated from the beginning. We asked about TV's, drinks, and breakfast. We got a snippy answer to everything. Will never stay there again.
"Noisy"
We stayed at the Country Inn in September 09 and found the vehicle noise level to be intolerable. Theres no AC in the room because the local evening temps on the coast is very cool, and AC is generally not needed. The room is cooled by opening the windows to let the cool ocean breezes in. We stayed in one of the upstairs rooms called Granny's Attic, […] and the room was rather hot (windows were closed) when the hostess first showed us to the room. Unfortunately, the vehicle noise ranging from roaring Harley's to diesel garbage disposal trucks banging around town, came booming into the room at all hours thus shattering our sleep. We suggest earplugs, shutting the windows, and using a floor fan to cool and create white noise to drown out the ambient noise. OTHERWISE, the accomodations (MINUS the NON operational outside spa AND the inadequate supply of HOT bath water in the AM) were without fault and the host was very pleasant. The breakfast was an apple/cinnamon bread pudding and was delicious. This is served with tea, coffee and OJ, and all with a smile. There is secluded off street parking in the rear for ALL guests, and the nicely appointed and maintained home is located within easy walking distance to many fine restraunts, as well as more moderately priced eateries. We WILL NOT stay here again only because the noise level was a shock to these two folks that really do live in the country. Mehr

We enjoyed our stay at the Country Inn. The location was easy to get to (right on the main street of Fort Bragg) and we had the room at the rear on the first floor and it was quite quiet and comfortable. We also used the hot tub which was clean but not exceptionally warm. The common area was comfortable and convenient to use with places to sit and newspapers […] and magazines and books to read. Overall, we were pleased with our stay and pleasantly surprised as some of the reviews were rather discouraging. There was no one to greet us when we arrived. We were told by other guests that our room and building keys were out front in an envelop in the mail box. These guest also told us the proceedure for breakfast sign in. "Lacking comfort"
If you are dead set on staying at this B&B be aware that not all rooms have showers, some only have baths and you can not stand up straight. The staff isnot very inviting. We felt we could not make any noise and parking is limited. You are better off staying at a cheapo motel, at least you will have a tv and a shower. Not worth the price at all!
"Not at all What I expected"
I understand that B&Bs are different than normal hotels, but this one made us feel like we were an inconvenience. The showeres had no water pressure, and not every room even had a shower which caused issues when trying to get ready for a wedding. Also I did not appreciate having our room left open after cleaning because all of our valuables were left […] for anyone to have aceess to. If you are looking for a large hotel with tons of amenities, then this isn't the hotel for you. If you are looking to get away (no tv, wi-fi, etc) then it was an excellent stay. The staff was very nice and personable, and the breakfast in the morning was good. The room was cozy, and especially for the price, it was wonderful. PS.
