This is a nice hotel. Our room was roomy, clean, and just what we needed. It is easy access to the highway on and off. The only negatives is that they only have full size beds, and there are just a few choices for food. We were directed by the staff to a nice little family restaurant in town with a wide variety of good meals

30 minutes from 6 Flags 1 Hour from the Casinos...quiet town with all the things you need within10 minutes...Perfect place to stay for a really good price..Good People With Great Attitudes that run the place....OH and dont forget the breakfast...Hot biscuts & Gravy, cereal, toast, bagels, fruit, eggs, juice, milk ect......AWESOME! A great place to stay whenever you are in the area. An extremely friendly, courteous and very kind staff. The room was outstanding and very clean. Lcoated just off I-44 in St. Clair, Mo. it is just minutes away from a lot of the local and historic attractions. Overall great experience, that I highly recommend staying at!!

This was my second visit. I did forget to tell the clerk at the front desk that the TV remote should be checked as it did not always work properly. I was in room 55. Over all I rested well. Thanks

I was more than pleased with the service, cleanliness and especially the guy at the counter. He went above and beyond. That is where I will stay if I am ever any where near St Louis !!!

we arrived at 2:30 am, there was an attandant ready and eagar to help, with popcorn ready. then we retired to our somewhat outdated yet very comfortable room, nothing was worn out or broken. the bed was comfy too. then for breakfast they had biscuts and gravy in addition to the normal toast and cereal.

lovely overall, nice lobby...felt very safe in room. very clean.

Visiting my mother in St. Clair and Budget Lodging was perfect for my needs. Inexpensive and clean, and free breakfast in the morning was perfect. Free popcorn was very nice touch. Only negative was shower control knob was not working too well. But for two night stay with no plans to spend a lot of time in the room. this was perfect. Becky at the front […] desk rocked!!!! Mehr

I booked this hotel only because of its price and location (close to the highway). When I arrived, I was pleasantly surprised. It was exceptionally clean and comfortable. The staff couldn't be nicer. I will DEFINITELY stay here again and again on my way through town.

I was very impressed with the service and hospitality shown by the staff. The rooms were very cozy, but had a little bit of a musky smell. The breakfast was good overall, but you had to walk all the way to the lobby for coffee. A very satisfying stay overall.

It's nothing fancy, but the rooms are clean it is very reasonably priced, and the staff was great. Breakfast was nothing gourmet, but the coffee was very good, and the rest was filling and acceptable. (what do you expect for a free breakfast)

We just needed a place to lay our heads for a few hours on our way from Chicago to OK so we didn't want to spend much. We were very satisfied with our stay. It was clean but nothing fancy. The breakfast left a little to be desired but overall a very nice stay.

Wonderful place to stay; staff makes you feel welcome the minute you walk in the door. They provide complimentary coffee, hot chocolate & popcorn all of the time as well as breakfast each morning.

Have stayed here before, always a pleasure to deal with such nice people. This time we were there for my mother in laws funeral. Staff was greatly accommodating and kept our familys rooms together. They even gave us a condolence card. My husband left behind his cell and they contacted us right away to get it back to us. Highly recommend and Thanks  […] again! Mehr

Easy check in Room was ready when I got there. Would go back

Our recent stay at Budget Lodging was a pleasent one. I was most impressed with the friendliness and how efficient the staff was. They got us checked in and out very quickly and made sure to tell us where everything was and how to reach them if we had any questions. The room was clean and comfortable and for the money I was no dissappointed. The free […] breakfast was satisfying. The gentleman at the front desk was very warm and welcoming. The room was fine. The decor slightly dated but air conditioner worked great and water was hot. Would stay again while traveling.

Nice hotel stop. Clean and friendly and simple but nice breakfast. GPS could not locate but still easy to find. Only problem was shower was either boiling hot or ice cold, no inbetween!

We booked a family room and was confirmed, but the previous guest extended their stay. The hotel called to notify us and offered an upgrade. We were pleasantly suprised to arrive and find luxury suite had been reserved for us as well as the adjoining room. The staff at this family owned and operated hotel were outstanding. They really worked hard to make sure our stay enjoyable. It was surprising how nice the hotel and staff were, especially considering the rates. I have stayed in much more expensive hotels and found the staff was their equal. Veery clean, well maintained and staff very polite. They made my stay very comfortable.

Very friendly staff, excellent internet connection, good breakfast. We found it very reasonable for what we paid. The room was clean and comfortable, and we were pleasantly surprised by what was offered. If I'm ever in the area again, this is where I'll stay.

Was in the local area for a wedding and wanted something with a King so I could spread out. I was pleasantly surprised by the room: it was more spacious than the photos indicated. The managers were very friendly, and reminded me they served complementary breakfast: including biscuits and gravy!! We chose this hotel based on the other reviews we had read and it definitely didn't disappoint! The staff was incredibly friendly and were expecting our arrival. The room was a little outdated but very clean. The bed was incredibly comfortable, probably the most comfortable of any hotel I've stayed in. Very nice place for the $. The front desk people were very friendly. I was very happy with it, it could use a little updating (the rooms) but the beds were super comfy and the room was very spacious. This is a wonderful hotel in a very unexpected place. It is privately owned and the owner if friendly and the hotel is inviting. The beds were more comfortable than most higher priced hotels and the place was conveniently located between St. Louis and Springfield, MO. This was not a luxury hotel, but was very clean and well maintained. Breakfast was adequate. Toast, bagels, coffee, juice, biscuits, butter, jelly and fruit.. I would definitely stay there again.

This hotel was a great find! It is extremely close to the highway, the staff was very friendly and the rooms were much nicer than expected. Don't let the name fool you, although this is a "budget" hotel, it is clean, up-to-date and I had a great stay! The beds are super comfy too!

Hotel Desk Clerk was very accommodating and friendly. He gladly gave us more towels and shampoo. Hotels is very clean and well kept. The only thing I could say needed improvement was the continental breakfast, they need more options.

Everyone of the Staff was very friendy. The room was great, bright and clean. The bed was very comfortable, we slept well every night. The continental breakfast was more then we expected and very satisfying. We would definetly use this hotel again. All in all a Excellent Experience!

The hotel was right off of I-44, and was 15-20 minutes from Purina Farms. From check-in to check-out the staff was friendly and helpful. From the minute we stepped in the beautifully comfortable lobby and were greeted by the front desk gentleman, we knew we had picked a great place to stay! The hotel is on beautiful property and with the free coffee, tea, hot chocolate & popcorn you can sit outside and enjoy a relaxing time. What a view from the front of the property! The sunset over […] the mountains is grand! The rooms are not brand new, but are nicely furnished and are IMMACULATE! The whole atmosphere is a wonderful experience. We have never been made to feel so at home anywhere we have stayed. Don't let the name scare you away. Yes, it is easy on your budget, but no expense is spared to make you comfortable. We will definitely stay here again!!! Our 7 year old grandaughter LOVED it. She enjoyed playing checkers in the lobby and sitting there taking in the beautiful view and all the decorations in the room. The excellent review on Hotels.com caused me to book this motel. We needed a stopover on the way to Arkansas. This is a very well maintained motel that the owners have taken much pride in.
