Bewertet von einem Hotels.com-Gast am 18. Feb. 2013U-Bahn-Haltestelle direkt vor dem Haus, aber auch zu Fuß ist das Stadtzentrum in 30 Minuten locker zu erreichen. Frühstück gibt es erst ab 07.30 Uhr; da ich bereits früher losmusste, bekam ich Joghurt in den Zimmerkühlschrank gestellt. Kaffee und Tee kann man sich sowieso mit dem obligatorischen Wasserkocher selbst zubereiten.

Restaurants und Pubs sind alle zu Fuß erreichbar. Das Frühstück war gut und reichlich, die Mitarbeiter an der Rezeption waren immer sehr freundlich. Für den nächsten Aufenthalt in Glasgow würde ich das Hotel wieder nehmen.

Bewertet von einem Hotels.com-Gast am 9. Dez. 2012Das Hotel selbst hat in allen Belangen die Erwartungen erfüllt. Das Preis/Leistungsverhältnis ist recht gut, die Zimmer sind top in Ordnung. Restaurant und Bar sind empfehlenswert, auch hier stimmt das Preis / Leistungsverhältnis. Das Hotel liegt in einer Art Park an einem See. Ein Fahrzeug ist unbedingt erforderlich. Fazit für mich : Bei der nächsten Reise in die Gegend buche ich wieder "Alona"

Bewertet von einem Hotels.com-Gast am 6. Dez. 2012Das Personal war sehr freundlich, hilfsbereit, aufmerksam und zuverlässig. Das Hotel ist außerdem nagelneu. Die Lage ist leider nicht ideal. Ohne Taxi ist man "aufgeschmissen".Transfer zum Flughafen klappte nicht. Die polnische Raumpflegerin machte aus ihrer anti-deutschen Haltung wenig Hehl. Das Inkl.-Frühstück war reichhaltig und sehr gut. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis war wirklich hervorragend.

The room was well furnished but with a shaky table (on which the tea-making facilities were placed!). Toilet is a bit compact but the shower was powerful. The TV screen size wasn't as large as I hoped, and the channels were the usual ones and not premium, contrary to what is in the description. Breakfast was served buffet-style - although quick, this […] means the food can dry out if left out for a while. The service at the check-in desk was very good and personable - the only downside was that the gentleman who served me didn't have an awareness of local restaurants to recommend. The 24-hour bar is useful for any late-night drinkers out there (or, in my case, sitting there and accessing the wifi on my laptop). By the way, Hotel Artto's location is fantastic! The staff are really friendly and the location opposite the Central station was perfect. There are also 2 very good restaurants next door (Italian and Indian). The bed is a little soft and there is no table that can function as a desk. The location was great, close to George Square, next to the trail station. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Even thought the hotel is non smoking they had setup an area by the back entrance with tables and chairs,clean ashtrays,like a nice little patio with a canopy and heater lamps. It is on the main drag and the noise form outside does come through. "Clean, convenient and affordable"
The hotel was right across the street from Glasgow train station and good for a clean bed to sleep in. The room was a bit smaller than expected, but overall the hotel was clean, inexpensive and good for a night stay. The bed, sadly was not very comfortable and was slanted, but everything else was just fine.Authentische Hotels.com-Gästebewertung

"Stay in the back"
It was a nice hotel- the staff was lovely. The room was shockingly small- but did I really need much space? It had everything I needed, although a fan in the bathroom would have been nice as it got a musty smell after the shower. But for the price, I was quite impressed. My only complaint is I was on a lower level and there's a very noisy bar across […] the street that kept me up. A higher level or the back of the building would have been nice. But for the location, I almost can't complain about the noise. And the staff was so wonderful and accommodating. I felt sorry for them because apparently one way they keep rates down is on staff so the women at the front desk were always running around like headless chickens. "Quite basic, but perfect for our needs."
The hotel is in an old building, which means that the room we were in was quite small, but it was very clean and had everything that was needed in it. It is so convenient - very easy to get to lots of places very quickly. We'd definitely return if we were in this part of the city again. "Good room, shame about the breakfast"
Stayed overnight and the room was good apart from a wired in hairdryer being broken but very accommodating staff let me use one in an empty room. Bar staff efficient and friendly. Biggest let down was the breakfast which was so overcooked it was inedible and sadly no offer was made to rectify the awfulness of it.
