es war alles inordnung im zimmer und sauber...wir htten nur ein Frühstückbuffe vermisst..natürlich könnten wir gegen Geld im Hotelrestaurant ein Frühstück bestellen aber man sieht vorher nicht was es kostet oder was es gibt und wenn man mal drin ist kann man ja nicht einfach gehen...

wir waren sehr zufrieden was wir etwas vermissten das ein frühstück nicht dabei war....man konnte zwar frühstücken im hotel aber wir wussten nicht was es kostet und aam bestenn wäre ein büffe bei kinder dabei ist das am besten

Das Hotel kann ich nur empfehlen . Lage ist gut nicht weit von See (strand ) endfernt . Sehr ruhiger Ort im Sommer .

empfehlenswertes gutes Hotel mit großem Pool, großen Zimmer, leider ohne Kühlschrank !!, schlechtes W-Lan, für den Preis absolut o.k.

Das Hotel liegt direkt am Freeway. Schönes Frühstückslokal ist angeschlossen.

Das Hotel liegt in einer Parallelstraße zum Freeway, ist aber trotzdem ruhig. Sehr große, saubere Anlage. Früstück/Snacks im dazugehörigen Coffeeshop sind ok. Personal ist sehr freundlich, sogar der Kaffee in der Lobby schmeckt. Zimmer sind etwas dunkel, haben Vordereingang (zu den Parkplätzen) und Hintereingang (zum Garten).

Schöne Poolanlage, Zimmer sauber, Anlage sehr gepflegt, nicht weit zum Sequoia NP

Sauberes Hotel mit schönem Garten und Swimmingpool. Ruhig, trotz Nähe zum Highway.

Feundlicher Empfang. Trotz nahem Freeway ruhig. Liebevoll gestaltete Anlage. Geräumiges Zimmer mit guter Ausstattung. Sehr großer, angenehm temperierter Pool. Verschiedenste Restaurants innerhalb weniger Minuten mit dem Wagen erreichbar, typische Main-Street Atmosphäre. Bei alledem hervorragendes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Das Lamp Liter Inn liegt sehr gut erreichbar am Freeway zum Sequoia State Park. Es hat eine schöne Gartenanlage und genügend Parkplätze direkt vor den Zimmern. Es ist auch ein Restaurant mit guter Auswahl unf Frühstück angegliedert. Würde wieder dort übernachten wenn ich in der Nähe wäre.

Sehr schöne, saubere und geräumige Zimmer. Das Ambiente in diesem Motel ist TOP. Um und durch die Motelanlage wird eine wunderschöne Bepflanzung gepflegt. In diesem Motel könnte ich mir einen längeren Aufenthalt vorstellen. Das pool wäre zum Relaxen wunderbar geeignet. Wir waren zwar nicht schwimmen, das Pool machte jedoch einen super eindruck. Ebenfalls […] mit viel Grünem und Ambientetechnisch sehr schön der Pool. Einziger Punkt der zu bemängeln ist, das Frühstück hätte für diesen Preis im Zimmerpreis inbegriffen sein dürfen. Das Hotel verfügt jedoch über ein angrenzendes Restaurant. Da kann man zu ziemlich günstigen Preisen sehr gut Frühstücken und auch Zuabendessen. Parkplätze hat es bei diesem Motel reichlich vorhanden. Free Internet ist ebenfalls verfügbar. Eine Reservierung ist jedoch dringend zu Empfehlen. Dies war das einzige Motel, welches auf unserer Reise ausgebucht war. Das Motel hat zwar sehr viele Zimmer. Da jedoch vermutlich regelmässig Carunternehmen ihre Leute da einquartieren, ist das Motel entsprechend rasch voll. Mehr

Hotel has central air/heat. With temperatures predicted to be in the 80-90's the hotel had not switched over from heat to air. After the first miserable nite, I was told it would be on the next day. That was untrue-so at 4am I went to the front desk to ask for a fan. They had none. I think they need to remodel so each room can make their own choice, […] either AC or heat. Wall plug between beds was not making constant contact which caused light and radio to go off. Mehr

They need to change the central heating/ac. My room was so hot I thought about opening the front door to sleep. The heat and ac are only adjusted by the front desk....bad idea!

The hotel rooms do not come with resident controlled AC or Heating. I had to "borrow" a fan from the office to keep air circulating.

We had to be given "other' accommodations due to some structural damage to the rooms assigned us. Lots of communication misunderstandings when assigned new room(s). After the second room was assigned and found inadequate for our party, we were assigned the 'standard' rooms at the rear of the property. Neither room was cleaned and confusion reigned due […] to a large meeting that took place that weekend. The air conditioner in one of the rooms didn't work. It spewed hot air on any setting. Had to open slider to get fresh air in room. The other room; one of our party members was brushing her teeth the next morning and the faucet fixture literally came close to being removed from the basin! Could only get hot water, etc., etc. I'm sure those things don't happen all the time, but for us, it was a comedy of errors at the property. As a native Visalian, I've attended a multitude of events at the Lampliter, but this was my first time as a guest since I moved out of the area a few years ago. The housekeeping staff was very efficient in making it comfortable for us with all that was happening. Nice grounds and staff. Mehr

This was the most beautiful, scenic room. Great beds and pillows, clean rooms, nice handicap shower. Very scenic garden room, enjoyed the beautiful landscaping.

It was nice! Beautiful scenery, quiet, romantic, affordable, and the food was great. Just right there... the only thing is ... for the price of food they need to put bigger helpings or charge alil less.. Other than that it was GREAT!

The Lamp Liter Inn- lobby looked like the Brady Bunch House. ADORABLE. The hotel room was perfect, clean, easy access parking right in front of our room. LOVED IT. The grounds are perfect. It does not even look like a hotel. It looks like a nice apartment complex. Felt very safe!

Great service and a nice clean room with really comfortable beds and very very hot water. Not the fanciest looking place from the outside, but considering the cheap price of the motel that's to be expected. There's also a restaurant attached to the motel that serves an excellent breakfast.

Check-in was fast and friendly, they were ready with keys without confirming reservation. The hotel's lay-out was great- important because I tow a trailer. Grocery store, fuel and plenty of restaurants are near the hotel.

Only stayed one night but found this hotel to be very accomidating, charming and convienently located. Even though it was Jan. 25th when we stayed there, the gardens were still very nice, I would advise paying the extra small charge for a garden view room. We were in Visalia for a funeral and just needed a place to stay for one night. This was perfect. The hotel is old, but very well-kept and clean. We were pleased with the service of the front desk. Our hotel faced the garden and it was beautiful. The location is great as it's right off the freeway and close to lots of restaurants and gas stations. This 1960s motel was nearly empty when we stayed in early January. With free internet, a fridge in the room, and a king bed, it had all the essentials. The large swimming pool (unheated) and surrounding garden area were very well maintained... you can see somebody puts a lot of time into keeping up the grounds. It was nice.

This hotel was way better then our expectations. Beautiful grounds, easy on off from freeway, close to down town, resturant walking distance or short drive to many selections. My wife and I also brought my finacky Father and he was way more than pleased also, and if he's happy= any one would be happy !

The personnel was very helpful and freindly. The room was neat and clean. The garden area is beautiful and well kept. The rooms are alittle dated but a very good deal for the money.

I always stay at this hotel. I have a lot of family in Visalia so I visit often. I have stayed in many different hotel in the area this one is my favorite. It's in a quite area, the garden is beautiful, and the staff is wonderful! My only complaint was the mattress. Everything else was superb!

Old hotel lacking modern amenities like strong wifi. Also, my TV didn't work. Beyond the need for a remodel. Never again.

Pleasantly surprised by recent stay at the Lamp Liter in Visalia. Usually stay at one of the "chain" hotels when in town but have a newly adopted rescue dog. Great to have a pet-friendly alternative in Visalia. You can tell the Lamp Liter is cared for by a committed team of folks. Grounds are beautiful, room was clean, staff is friendly. this hotel is OLD. As in you get an actual metal key to your room. BUT it is NICE! The grounds are gorgeous! The staff is super friendly. The rooms are clean and nice. The bathrooms have been updated. Beds are comfy and walls are thick (as in you can't hear your neighbors talking). We had big windows looking into the garden. The pool is HUGE. The gardens very beautiful, even with the rain I had during my stay. Hotel staff are helpful and "go the extra mile" to make your stay comfortable. The rooms are old but I was told they are in the process of updating them. Heating was a problem but they solved this with a portable unit they let me borrow. Overall my stay was very good. This hotel is a little retro, but the rooms are really clean and you can't beat the price! The pool and garden are really nice too. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful.
