Was soll ich sagen. Dieses Hotel ist einfach fantastisch! Das Hotel könnte beim gegenwärtigen Stand der Technik kaum moderner sein!!! Außerdem äußerst romantisch. Das Ambiente ist traumhaft.

Das Hotel is direkt neben dem Tor Agbar im nordöstlichen Teil von Barcelona. Auf der.gegenüberliegenden Strassenseite ist ein grosses jedoch noch nicht stark frequentiertes Einkaufszentrum mit vielen Geschäften. Das Hotel ist seinen Sternen gerecht, sieht gut aus, von drinnen und aussen, die Dachterrasse ist auch schön. Neuere TV's und eine Möglichkeit […] die Glaswände der Dusche abzudecken wären wünschenswert. Nicht.jeder mag vor einem bettgenossen duschen, vor allem wenn zwischen Bett und Dusche nur 0.5 m und eine Glaswand dazwischenstehen. Das wc hat eine.Glasverkleidung und drinnen nochmal eine Kabine für das stille Örtchen, also eine Schiebetüre zwischen Nad und Toilette... Aber ansonsten alles super. Mehr

Als ich das Hotelzimmer bezog roch es zuerst nach Feuchtigkeit. Nicht nur im Zimmer auch im Gangbereich. Nach einer Stunde im Zimmer hatte ich das Gefühl, dass es nach Erbrochenem roch. Nicht stark aber permanent. Ich fand es scheusslich.

vis a vis vom glories shopping center , im schatten des torre agbar, 15 gehminuten zur sagrada, 1 minute zur u-bahn station, die barcelona tourist bus haltestelle vor dem hotel liegt dieses hotel gar nicht so ungünstig. wer jedoch die 7 minuten metrofahrt und 30 minuten spaziergang ins zentrum nicht auf sich nehmen möchte, der sollte lieber ein zentraleres […] hotel wählen. die 4 sterne sind für dieses moderne hotel angemessen, auch wenn der swimmingpool auf der dachterasse doch etwas sehr klein ist. der graue teppichboden dürfte wenigstens einmal pro woche richtig gesaugt werden, die fusseln vom ersten tag lagen auch am letzten tag noch da. das bad ist durchsichtig und sauber. das nachtessen im hotel ist zu einen fairen preis sehr fein. das frühstück bietet eine gute auswahl, hat mit 18 euro jedoch auch einen stolzen preis. plus: der tourist bus stoppt auf der gegenüberliegenden strassenseite. das allgemeine preis/leistungsverhältnis ist OK. minus: 1)einige baustellen befinden sich in unmittelbarer nähe (bei offenem fenster kann es sehr laut werden). 2)das preis-leistungsverhältnis für das frühstück ist zu hoh. 3)die dachterrasse ist sehr lieblos gestaltet. durch den […] benachbarten torre agbar ist ab dem späteren nachmittag die sonne verschwunden. 4)die innenstadt ist nicht zu fuß erreichbar. Very modern . Very uncomfortable. Dark dingy corrider. Building site outside room and surrounded by concrete. NOT 4 star standard.Willdefinately never stay there again.

Staff was very nice and helpful, room was quiet and clean. Only stayed one night, but enjoyed it.

great hotel - clean, friendly staff, very convenient to tram/subway and a good distance from las ramblas so it felt very safe

Staff was very nice and helpfull. Location was for us OK; Shopping center Glories is across the street and there you can get way cheeper breakfast than hotel serves. It`s only four stops away at the metro to the citycenter and La Rambla. I have only two bad things to say to this hotel: 1. Get decent beds. Beds are like from some Russian street motel. […] One thing I respect and that is when I go to 1 week holiday, I would like to have a good nightsleeps. So if you want to have good and restfull nights don't go Silken Diagonal Barcelona hotel. 2. Breakfast is so overpriced. Do something about it, low your breakfast price or put there something more because 18e is too much for that Your hotel serves. If this hotel can get this two things done,then i would recommend it to other people. but not for now. Mehr

We stayed in this hotel for 5 nights, and it was perfect. The location is great, you cannot miss the Agbar tower anywhere in Barcelona, metro is close by (3 min walk), also a big shopping centre, and all the fastfood shops (McD, Burgerking, Subway, Starbucks). The hotel itself was a win. The rooms were nice, clean, the staff were great. There were 4 […] candy bars each day bisede our bed, they reffilled it every time :) A small thing that make a smile on you face. Anyway, the hotel is great, and would deffinetely recommend it to anyone who is looking for a good stay in Barca. Mehr

everything was good....except the stinky smell from the bathroom. I think it has a problem with the ventilating system.

was told hotel 5 minutes from cruise port but was not the case taxi to port for cruise was double the cost being a weekend.public transport very convenient and hop on hop off bus stop right outside door .great shopping across the road and nice places to eat.staff very obliging.left $350 in room when we shifted rooms am waiting on reply as to whether […] cleaning staff handed it in.Sergio very obliging and quick to respond to emails prior to arrival.restuarant good value for price Mehr

Room was very nice except for the shower, where no shower curtain or glass enclosure meant that water from the shower always ended up on the floor. The breakfast buffet, though pricey, was truly spectacular.

the location was great, one block from the train.and in a safe area. The hotel staff was very helpful but a little understaffed. They all made a great attempt to communicate in english. the hotel was very clean but the breakfast was a little overpriced for the money.

This is a great hotel in the centre of Barcelona within walking distance of many of the key sights. The rooms are modern and well-equipped (although our room was a smoking room - which he had not asked for - and it smelled at bit stale). We had been on a two-week holiday on the Costa Brava and had driven to the hotel by car as the website indicated […] that parking was available; however, on approaching the hotel, we discovered that it was very difficult to find the car park and we ended up having to park in the nearby Glories shopping centre car park to check-in and seek instructions on where the car park for the hotel is. Some guidance on the website as well as some signposting off the main road would certainly be helpful, even if the vast majority of hotel guests is unlikely to arrive by car. That aside, it's a competitively priced hotel in a good location, next to the Torre Agbar and Glories Metro station, making it ideal for a stay in Barcelona. Mehr

Very good Hotel, I have visited Barcelona over 60 times in the past 10 years and this is one of the better hotels I have stayed......

The modern design was appealing and the floor to ceiling windows were nice. Bed was hard and most of the staff seemed grumpy. Had to leave the hotel to find breakfast as the main dining room was closed. Only minimum toiletries were provided. The hotel was located near a large shopping plaza about five minutes walk away.

We enjoyed our stay at Silken Diagonal. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel design is very modern chic and the lobby is really slick looking. The room was clean. It got a little hot in the room but we could open the window for a nice breeze. The bed was really hard and not very comfortable. The hotel is well situated at the Glories circle […] and a few steps from the metro. The area is safe if not a little too sterile; its on the edge of the business district so you have to take the metro to the food, drink and the sights. The price was right and overall the experience was very positive. Mehr

I arrived a day early and the manager refused to give me credit for a room that they could have rented. The hotel room was vey small and the shower had a glass wall that gave no privacy. The location of the hotel was far from the center of town and was very incovenient for a tourist. The price for the room was very high for the value received.

This hotel seemed great for the price for the first 3 nights we stayed here. The design is attractive and the staff was nice. There were a few things I found annoying. First, they do not have an iron and ironing board in the room, I had to ask for one. Also, the shower, while nice, didn't have any door or shower curtiain besides glass covering only […] half, so water splashes all over the bathroom floor when taking a shower. Its a little annoying to step out of the shower into a puddle, and there aren't many places to put your clothes in the bathroom, so they are likely to get soaked unless you leave them outside the door. The bed was also a little stiff, though not unbearable. The real problem with this hotel, and the reason I will never stay there again, has to do with a horrible design flaw with the building itself. Our last night there it rained the whole night. Outside the building above every window, there is a hollow aluminum shade of some kind that runs the length of the building. When the rain hits these, the sound is so loud inside the room that we did not sleep a minute the whole night. It literally is enough to drive you crazy, especially since there is no fan in the room to at least drown out the noise a little bit. I never write reviews on hotels I stay at, in fact this is the first, but I just wanted to make sure to warn anyone before choosing this hotel that you may want to make sure it is not planning on storming the night you are visiting. My partner and I stayed at the Silken Barcelona at the the end of August for 2 nights. We obviously knew the location of the hotel when we booked but personally I feel it lets the hotel down. It is located next to the Torre Agbar which is a great sight but the rest of the area is very industrial and the hotel is actually surrounded by building sites. […] It is also at least 2 tube journeys to most of the main sites in Barcelona and a 5-10 minute walk to the station which is a little daunting late at night. There is not much in the immediate area except a shopping mall acroos the road which is quite boring but does have generic high street shops and cafes in it. On check in the staff were not very friendy, I don't think any of them actually smiled once, they seemed bored and uninterested. The lobby is very contemporary but it is a bit too much, it is very dark and the corridor to our room was even worse - it had no natural light and was like a nighclub with strange neon lights only! The room on first impression is quite cool and quirky but in actual fact its not very practical. It has a floor to ceiling window but unfortunately our view was just of grey drab buildings so not much point to it except for the light! The bathroom has a strange partition which moves and is actually see-through so there is no privacy at all whilst in the shower or bath. The shower head is placed to far out and soaks the bathroom floor. The bed was however quite comfortable and room has all the usual things needed, safe, TV, air con etc. On our first morning we were woken first by the maid letting herself in before 9am then about 10 minutes later by another male member of staff which was not the best seeing as though you can see the bed from the door! Also on the first morning whilst my fiance was having a shave the sink plug stuck and would not empty the sink so we filled in a form for repairs that could be left on the doorknob. Fantastic hotel - large, bright rooms, with full length windows; brilliant bathrooms; television with channels in multiple languages; decent hotel bars and restaraunt; helpful staff. The surrounding area is a bit run-down but you're close to the metro and tram stops, and buses run directly past the hotel. There's also a handy shopping centre opposite. The […] only niggle is that they didn't have tea or coffee making facilities in the room, but happily there's a well-stocked mini bar :) Mehr

This was a gorgeous hotel located outside of city center Barcelona. The hotel was modern, comfortable, quiet, clean and had great customer service. There were computers available for guest use, a rooftop swimming pool, and a great view of Torre Agbar and la Sagrada Familia from the room window. The hotel is located off of metro line 1 and a short walk […] away. There is also tram access a block away from the hotel. Mehr

Very nice decorated, and comfortable rooms hotel. Close to almost everything you want to do and see in Barcelona, staff are not friendly, stiff, and at times rude. Other than that, it is a very nice, clean, hotel. I would definetly stay there again.

Good location close to tram, subway and Glories shopping mall. Very nice hotel and service.

This hotel more than exceeded our expecations. Very large room with blackout blinds and a sitting room. Large bathroom with two sinks and great shower and bathtub. Very impressed. Only bad thing we saw was several stains on the carpet in the room and hallways. Definitely would stay here again! It's close to the metro and in a nice area. its a great hotel. the terrace is an added attraction. it hasa nice swimming pool and an awesome view of the city , and the sea. the bathroom should have a wooden door instead of a glass door. other than that, everything about this hotel was satisfactory

Amazing design, great service, location is just fine - two tube stops from the heart of the city..

I recently stayed at the Silken for one night with a friend and it was definitely an enjoyable stay! The hotel is extremely new and modern and not like any hotel I have stayed in before...it was a nice change to see something different. The room was gorgeous and spacious and very modern and classy. It was unusual to have a bathroom with glass walls […] but in a good way as it was something different and the room and bathroom were extremely clean and tidy. The bed was very comfortable and the room had a nice flatscreen tv. The hotel was located only a few minutes walk from the metro in a location not far from most attractions within the city. There was also a shopping centre across from the hotel with shops/cafes/restaurants. The pool area is very small however there is a nice view from that floor. I would definitely reccommend this hotel for young singles/businessmen/a city break. Excellent value and very reasonable and I would definitely return. Mehr

Although the hotel is in a convenient location to transportation there is no where to get breakfast or coffe in the area before 11am. Not even the hotel serves breakfast other than room service. The hotel is modern but not very clean. Also, bring your own conversion adapters if traveling from the USA. There are not converters for your electronics  […] available. Mehr

L'hotel est extremement bien placé, sur la ligne de métro principale et avec des emplacements pour scooter en face de l'entrée. Il y a aussi un centre commercial juste à en face, pratique si vous oubliez qlq chose. L'hotel est design et beau, mais si vous y regardez de plus près, des détails choquent : les joints de la SDB moisis, le bas des meubles […] défoncés à cause des valises (mais non réparés) ... RAS sur le personnel, si ce n'est que les portes des chambres sont mal insonorisés et que vous entendrez donc absolument tte les conversations du personnel le matin à 7h (notamment les femmes de chambre) Mehr

Oppholdet var veldig bra. Kort avstand til stort shoppingsenter og metro. Nabo med Torre Agbar, en høy og synlig bygning og enkelt og finne tilbake til. Renhold og standard på rom var bra.
