Great location. Accommodating front desk staff. Very enjoyable stay.

The staff was very friendly and welcoming.The king size bed was so comfortable that we wanted to take it home. The room was clean and very nicely decorated. Complimentary cold water in the fridge was a nice touch. The breakfast buffet was a bit pricey but the food was outstanding. Parking garage is just on the next corner. We had a pleasant stay at the Hilton Downtown St. Louis. While the room was slightly on the small size, it is very conveniently located in downtown St. Louis. The bar and restaurant had good food and drinks and the staff was helpful and friendly. This hotel was a good pick and we would definitely recommend it to other tourists of St. Louis.

To start off, we didn't get the single King bed room we had originally booked. That was a bummer. Instead, we received a room with two double beds, and while fairly comfortable, it was NOT the room we booked. In addition, the room was quite narrow. It did have high ceilings, but that was the only saving grace. The entrance to the room was so narrow […] that there was no way to open the bathroom door and the front door at the same time. The guest services department was great or terrible depending on the person you spoke with. I called the front desk and asked if they had any complimentary band-aids (as many hotels offer razors, toothbrushes, etc), and was rudely told NO. I went to the gift shop in the lobby fully expecting to pay for band-aids, but was met by a wonderful gentleman from guest services who gave me the band-aids for free. The bellhops were very cordial and helpful, but the front desk was patently awful and extremely rude to my fiance. We were very pleased with the location, as it was perfect for our evening plans and the neighborhood offered a lot of attractions, bars, and restaurants within walking distance. Overall, it wasn't terrible, but I wouldn't recommend it to someone who holds Hilton Hotels in high regard. I don't believe this hotel is the best example of their chain. Mehr

:) I had a very good stay. I love the service they gave us. The next morning when we were ready to leave are tire was complitly flat. Thats to the nice motel man had a portable air compresser. Thanks for your help. :( The only complant that I have is I did not have a arch veiw. I asked but didn't get.

room was claen. over-priced for the size of the room. for the price i would expect an indoor pool for the hotel quests to use. is a very clean establishment over all.

Used Hotels.com to make this reservation and received a great rate. The Hilton was very close the St. Louis Cardinals Winter Warmup activities. The room was great and the location was super.

I'm never one to complain... but non smoking room smelled like smoke. At one point (without us requesting) the staff came in to spray the carpets to try to get it to smell better. The heat did not work and it was drafty-cold. Breakfast - way over priced - $10 for tiny fruit bowl.

Hotel is beautiful & upkeep was phenomenal. What I didn't like about the hotel: Got a deal, otherwise is way overpriced. No free breakfast and only fancy expensive restaurant on site.( I was traveling with my family of 4) Coffee was lousy. Had to pay $20 per day to park and very small selection of snacks available in lobby, mostly candy.

Overall this hotel was a great buy. For the price, it had a great location (right in the city) and the staff was very helpful and wonderful. The room was as clean as it could be given that it was old. There was paint chipping on the door, etc. But the room was very clean. Also, despite it being a non-smoking room and signs everywhere that it was a non-smoking […] room- I could still smell a faint smell of smoke. The price was right though so I can't complain and it was clear they did their best to eliminate the odor. Mehr

Excellent service and great food from room service. would stay again!!

I had to change my room as the heater was not working and the water was lukewarm in freezing cold. The housekeeping staff showed up too early to disturb the sleep or never showed up to my disbelief. There are other few nice places opposite to Hilton like crown plaza or hyatt which can offer better services and comfort. I would even recomment the other […] hilton in the vicinity but certainly not this one. Mehr

Convenient location, close to Metro, Lacledes Landing, Arch & many other attractions. Hotel Staff was EXTREMELY friendly and always happy to accomodate us. Rooms were quiet, clean and comfortable. A great place to stay while in St. Louis in the Downtown area!

When I arrived the only room available was an actual smoking room. I didn't know these still existed. It was like sleeping in a bar. Super gross. These rooms should be outlawed. The staff was really nice though and the restaurant/room service were tasty.

Gorgeous and ornate building, just as good looking on the inside. Security elevators (room key required to go up) gave a sense of comfort. Convenient restaraunt and bar within the building. The traffic to get there requires some patience. Nothing but one-way streets with no signs, just arrows in the road. Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. The room was clean, and bathrooms were nice. Nice workout room downstairs with lots of equiptment. My only complaint is that the thermostat for our room was semi-broken. We had to take the cover off and tap the mercury for it to blow warm air. Not a big problem.

I travel about 10 times a year on business. I rate hotels based on different types and levels of hotels, and compare to what I would typically use on a non-business trip. Convenient location, about 15 minutes from airport (approximately $35 cab ride). Hotel looks like an older building but it's well maintained, room was comfortable and overall clean. […] Would stay here again. Walls are a bit thin, lucky I did not have unruly neighbors. Mehr

This nice hotel is nearby to pretty much everything in Downtown St Louis. You can walk to just about everything... the Convention Center, Busch Stadium, and the Arch to name a few. There are 2 nearby Metrolink stations if you need to go somewhere farther. The rooms are nice and clean. The only thing "wrong" was the remote for the TV had one sticky […] button. Mehr

Great trip, Great Hotel, but watch out for the many bums all over the area. St. Louis, MO should do something about them. They're on every corner of the street, peeing and asking for money......Not a great thing to wanna see!

Had some trouble at first finding the entrance and parking garage but that was due to several streets/alleys being gone now, combined with one-way streets that I had to get used to. Park out front, just before the valet and check in at the front desk, you'll get a card for the parking garage ($19/day. Valet is $27/day I think). The lobby is huge and […] very nice. We were in room 405 which obviously used to be a much larger room sectioned off into smaller rooms. The room was very nice, no cheap holiday inn fixtures here. Granite tile in the bathroom, heavy bedside lamps (but the outlets need to be replaced). The view out the window is of a large brick wall on the parking garage to the West. The king bed was very comfortable. If you like to sleep in, the cleaning crew was often noisy, laughing or yelling down the hall to each other loudly. This was not one of our best hotel experiences. Room was very small, water pressure was almost non-existent. The hot tub was barely warm and we had to call maintenance to get it to work. A lot of noise from outside kept us up at night. Not a good overall experience. Won't stay again.

My husband and I stayed in the Hilton Downtown St. Louis over a weekend in October to attend a wedding. The hotel staff were freidnly and very helpful. The hotel itself was very clean and well maintained. Our room was comfortable and had everything we needed. My only dissapointments were that we had a room that faced the alley instead of the river, […] and that parking in the garage next door is $19 a day. However, the parking garage was easy to access and we were even able to find a spot (or a spot and a half) for our oversized pick up truck.One of the bonuses was that it was a very short walk to the Arch and the Baseball Stadium. This hotel used to be a bank and has been renovated, keeping most of the original elegance of the bank. Rooms are small in comparison to most HIltons.

Walked into our nonsmoking room and it reeked of marijuana. Called the front desk and found out that the only other room available was a smoking room. Couldn't win. The desk services was rude as well.

Comfortable, reasonably priced, convenient. Only downside was the view out my window was a brick wall (3rd floor).

Stayed at the Hilton on Olive in Downtown St. Louis. The building is older but would strongly recommend this hotel! The rooms were extremely clean and comfortable. Staff was always friendly and helpful. Workout room was clean and well run with good equipment and wide variety. The restaurant was excellent (400 Olive)! and the bath towels were huge, soft, […] and fluffy (not always the case with hotel towels). The location of this hotel is near the arch, but only about 1.5 miles form the Washington Street area where the convention center is located. Mehr

Some of the staff were not very friendly. My husband and I saw them treat other hotel guests in a less than friendly way after the valet lost the keys to their vehicle. The room was very clean and spacious and close to many downtown attractions.

This was a romantic getaway for my husband and I. The hotel was great! It was clean and the staff helpful. We had the buffet breakfast both mornings and it was terrific. We also took in some Cardinal games and the walk to the stadium was short. My only complaint was $19/night for parking!

I stayed here for a recent trip to see Busch Stadium. Great place! Right downtown, blocks from the ballpark, the arch, and lots of cool restaurants. Very clean, comfy beds, nice little bar.

The location was very good, easy walk to restaurants, the Arch, and the metra system. ON the down side,the staff wasn't overly friendly , and the bathroom had no hot water and a clogged drain. Maintenance fixed that, but was an unpleasant surprise the first morning.

Not too bad of a hotel but it did not have a swimming pool and it is too far from the ballpark.

stayed here for 2 nites 4 cards cubs games very nice hotel , excellant resturant, good food in the bar. would stay again.

Air conditioning was very poor all weekend. If the room had been any warmer at night it would have been miserable.

The hotel is easy to get through from the Airport, I took the MetroLink right to the 8th Street stop and the hotel was only two blocks away. The Gateway Arch was one block away from the hotel, as was other great sites and bars/clubs downtown. The Metrolink is easy to navigate around town, but the hotel is centrally located downtown. As far as the hotel […] itself, the staff was prompt and courteous, the room was very clean and comfortable. I got a standard king room and it was a little small but very nicely decorated and *almost* worth the high price. The room came with a decent sized fridge and 2 free bottles of water a day, which was great. The bar in the lobby had reasonable drink prices, but room service was extremely expensive. Taking a taxi from the hotel to the airport was a bit costly. The gym was small but nice, I enjoyed the treadmills with individual tv's on them. Overall, the hotel was pretty nice. No complaints! My family had a good stay. This is a fairly priced hotel in a good location in the city center. If you are looking for bells and whistles this is not the place, but the rooms were clean and the bathroom was clean. Overall a solid hotel.

It was a great hotel for me and my girlfriends second date. They were reliable with directions to different bars and fuel stations. It was a great room to come back to and sleep in. The bed was very comfortable. The only two things I saw and would comment on was it was a poor view from the room, and the bathroom wasn't very big. It was very nice. The only thing it had a hint of cigarette smoke, and we wanted a non-smoking room. Otherwise it was nice. Convenience and parking was great. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

we chose this hotel because it wasa short walk to Busch Stadium. we took the ride in the Arch and toured the Anheuser/Busch Brewery. Our room was what a Hilton offers, clean and comfortable. the people of St. Louis were very friendly and helpful in giving directions and restaurant choices. the Bamboo Bistro across the street is reasonably priced and […] the food was excellent.
