Das Hotel liegt ungefähr 5 Minuten von der Altstadt entfernt. Der Hauptbahnhof ist direkt gegenüber. Wir hatten Zimmer mit Blick auf die Altstadt gebucht. Das war klein und die Betten ziemlich schmal. Aber es war sauber. Ich würde das Hotel wieder nehmen.

Super hotel für schlafen - frühstücken und den Tag über das Land entdecken. Sehr freundliches personal auch bei sprachbarrieren, stets bemüht und erfolgreich den gast zu verstehen ! Für mich gut wlan im office+ zimmer.

Das Hotel "GILE" in Vilnius liegt nicht weit vom Bus- und Eisenbahnhöfe, man kann dorthin zu Fuß gehen, und zum Flughafen kann man in 15 Minuten mit dem Bus erreichen, deren Haltestelle befindet sich ganz nahe. Dieses Hotel ist ganz sauber, Handtücher werden regelmäßig gewechselt. Personal ist freundlich und höflich. Das Essen ist lecker und abwechslungsreich. Ich bin sehr froh, dass ich dieses Hotel ausgewählt habe. Ich werde es weiterempfehlen.
Lage

"guter Ausgangspunkt um die Stadt anzusehen"
Das Hotel liegt zwar an einer tagsüber recht stark frequentierten Straße, was aber kaum stört. Nachts ist es ruhig. Von der Lage her ist es perfekt gelegen und man kann das Zentrum, die meisten Sehenswürdigkeiten und die Altstadt gut zu Fuß erlaufen. Ich hatte ein einfaches Zimmer, das Bad mit Dusche war top. Es gab einen Tisch und Stuhl, Fernseher […] und Minibar, leider nur ein normales schmales Bett, das auch nicht besonders bequem war. Das kann in anderen Zimmern natürlich anders sein und so schlimm wars nicht. Das Zimmer an sich, war leider etwas dürftig beleuchtet, sodass es nicht unbedingt zum Arbeiten geeignet ist. Das Frühstück war reichhaltig, die Bedienungen freundlich, wirklich gut. Alles in Allem ein gutes Hotel in guter Lage, zu einem fairen Preis, wirklich empfehlenswert. Mir hats gefallen. Mehr

Einziges wirkliches Manko ist die WLAN Verbindung, die immer wieder abgebrochen ist. Ansonsten gutes Preis Leistungsverhältnis.

"Congress Hotel ist schön und preiswert"
Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis im Hotel war super! Die Zimmer sind sauber und schön (unseres war manchmal einen tick zu laut, weil es an der Straße lag). Das Essen im Hotel ist sehr sehr lecker und es liegt sehr zentral, sodass man zu Fuß in die Stadt laufen kann.

Frühstück war sehr gut, große Auswahl, mit warmer Ecke, Obst, selbstgemachten Kuchen und Brotbelag. Defizit: Die zwei Säfte, die es gab, waren zu sehr mit Wasser verdünnt und das Toastbrot wurde vorab getoastet und kühlte somit im Brotkorb aus.

Prinzipiell alles ok. Sensiblen Gemütern wird vielleicht die etwas ältere, hauptsächlich in Braun- und Beigetönen gehaltene Einrichtung nicht so behagen. Positiv: +Parkplatz direkt hinter dem Hotel (war bei uns gratis) +Lage nahe dem Zentrum +gutes und sehr reichhaltiges Frühstücksbuffet (für jeden Geschmack was dabei) +Fenster haben eine recht guten […] Schallschutz +Alles recht sauber Negativ: -Die nicht besonders freundliche Möblierung. -Um den Parkplatz zu finden (er ist von der Straße am Kai aus zu erreichen und nicht gekennzeichnet, man fährt zuerst durch andere Parkplätze um dann in den Hinterhof des Hotels zu gelangen) muß man hellsichtig sein oder vorher bei der Rezeption fragen. Das ist aber wiederum schwierig, weil man rund ums Hotel schwer einen Parkplatz findet. -Die straßenseitigen Zimmer schauen auf einen großen Kreisverkehr was bei offenem Fenster unerträglich laut ist. -Ein Vordach beim Haupteingang wäre für Regentage eine gute Investition... -Wenn man im Zimmer die Schlüsselkarte nicht in das "Lese"-Gerät bei der Tür steckt, sind auch die Steckdosen ohne Strom. Geräte aufladen, während man nicht im Zimmer ist, geht also nur wenn man irgendeine andere Karte in dieses Gerät steckt. Mehr
Das Hotel ist sauber, gut geführt, das Personal um die Erfüllung der Wünsche bemüht. So erhielten wir um 04.30 Uhr ein kleines Frühstück, da wir sehr früh auf dem Flughafen sein mussten. Weniger gut ist die Zufahrt mit dem Auto. Dafür ist das Parken im Hof gratis. Die Lage ist so, dass ein 5-10 Minütiger Fussmarsch in die Alststadt erforderlich ist. The hotel has a fantastic helpful and service minded staff, a good kitchen and is situated close to the river and to the Old Town. The rooms are a bit chilly in the winter, but fully equipped, clean and nice.

The Hotel was OK for that price, but it didn't feel like a 4* hotel, e.g. the bathrobe and slippers had to be paid extra. The bedding seems only to be changed, if asked for. Our first room looked very used and hat mould on the ceiling. They gave us another room which was better and warmer (with only little mould in the bath). However the staff is […] great, very helpflul and stays friendly. All the problems were solved within minutes. The staff organizes everything you need very fast and professionally. The taxi they call is for the normal price (it can differ up to 500% in Vilnius). The breakfest is good, there are cold and warm dishes. The location of the hotel is great. You save a lot of time and money (for the taxi), for everything you must see in Vilnius is near by. All in all if there is something wrong with your room, just dial 9 for the reception and everything will be done. Unfortunately one does not always have time to call the reception every 10 minutes especially if you stay only one night. Allthough it's not perfect, I recommend this hotel for the price we got. Mehr

I have been to vilnuis many times and can confirm that value for money the congress is a good quality hotel. Breakfast and staff very nice. only downside was that the wifi signal could have been better in my room. but overal a very plesent stay. Don - London
"Nice hotel, good location, fine for weekend stay"
Hotel is located near the river, however we got a room with the "backside" view. Room is rather big, enough place, as well as the bathroom. The room does not supply any free water or tea, there is a tray on the table which contains juice, water, snacks, nuts, and a sheet of paper with the rates :) Stayed in many hotels, and usually at least water was […] free. Staff is neither friendly nor unfriendly. They are just there, and yes they are smiling, but you don't feel they warmth. We stayed at the congress hotel for 3 nights 9th-12th December 2011.Day 1,no money changing facilities so had to find a bank,hotel good in all other respects.Day 2,good breakfast,friendly staff.Spent the day wandering around Vilnius,arrived back at hotel 23-05,bar closed,no way to get a coffee or anything stronger.Beds comfy good nights sleep.Day 3 […] last night,decided to have dinner in hotel,Booked table for 12 at 20-00.This was far to awkward for the two poor teenage girls who were left in charge.Dinner was a disaster,my starter arrived at 23-00,followed by the wrong main at 23-50.Many other problems occurred too numerous to mention,but the biggest was the total lack of a supervisor or manager to complain to.Any way last night ruined,3hours sleep,early start to the airport.Congress hotel--some way behind other eastern european hotels we have stayed in but it is trying. Good location on bus/tram lines and walking distance to all the main sights. Hotel very comfortable and staff friendly and helpful.
"Perfect location"
Good experience overall, friendly staff, clean rooms, perfect location. The breakfast is excellent. However, the rooms are tiny, beds are hard, the TV very outdated. If you are looking for a clean room in a perfect location, Congress would be great for that, but don't expect any luxury that you would hope to see in a '4 star' hotel.

"Stay July 2011"
I stayed with my wife from 10 - 20th July 2011. I had booked a superior room three weeks before my stay and emailed the hotel to inform them I would be arriving late. When I arrived, the hotel had allocated a standard room and not what I had paid for. As it was late, I agreed to discuss in the morning. Next day the staff did ensure I was placed in the […] room I paid for so it worked out in the end but at first I was told there were no superior rooms available and I had to insist before the message got through, not a good start. I was in room 508. The hotel is in my opinion in need of modernisation and is starting to look dated internally. If you stay at the congress, please be aware that the hotel is on a busy road junction next to a roundabout and the traffic noise can be bad at times, one thing that the Vilnius drivers seem to like is to cruise down the road next to the river, which goes down one side of the hotel and their cars and motorcycles have very loud exhausts, though if you close the windows, it is not so bad, This hotel advertises a "Mini Gym" and this is perhaps going a bit far as the equipment consists of 2 cross trainers located in a glass greenhouse like room on the 5th floor without air conditioning. I would not like to attempt to use it as the temperature in there was high, due to the fact that the sun shone through it most of the day and I never saw anyone in it. I only ate Breakfast in the hotel, which was of a reasonable standard, nothing special. The staff are OK but not over friendly and the concept of customer service does not seem to have taken hold in this country yet. On the plus side the superior room was of a good size, the beds were comfortable and the air conditioning worked well. WIFI in the hotel is free and my only complaint is that it was poor or non existent at the end of the hotel where my room was, they need to improve coverage. Over all I think that the standard of the hotel is probably 3 star and considering the price I paid for Mehr

Hotel is very centrally located in Vilnius and a nice short walk to the Old Town and the Genocide museum. Nice view out over the river from the room. Breakfast was lovely. Only negative was the staff could be smile alot more and greet guests in the morning rather then just standing there.

"3 Nights in Vilnius - 2 Hotels"
As a stag party of 10 lads on a trip to Vilnius, we weren't too fussy about hotels etc. We were there to have a good time so all we really expected from a hotel was something clean and a decent service. Our trip was planned for 2 nights so we had booked into the Ramada hotel, Vilnius. BRILLIANT BRILLIANT BRILLIANT Hotel, anyone who reads this I would […] strongly encourage you to check out the Ramada first. Anyway after two nights at the Ramada our flight home was cancelled due to volcanic ash. The Ramada was already booked up so we checked hotels.com and got a good deal on the Congress. After a long walk down there from the old town, we checked in to a very unfriendly reception desk. I know we were a stag party and there are various misconceptions about stag parties, but to be fair all we wanted was a decent hotel, we weren't there to cause any trouble. All of the staff gave us a very frosty reception and from the time we arrived until the time we left we felt that we were not wanted there. It was like we were a major inconvienience. All we done was use the room to sleep and wash?? The room was extremely small with a slanted roof (this was at the front of the hotel), the slanted roof made for a very uncomfortable stay on that side of the room. Although it was clean, it was very small and EXTREMELY Hot. Maybe because we got a good price from hotels.com, they decided not to afford us of the air con. We locked our passports etc in the safe in the room. The next morning as we were set to depart, the safe would not open. We called reception for help and between the many phone calls and several calls to reception, we finally got the safe open after waiting over 1 hour. Good job we hadnt got a morning flight or we would have missed it. When we needed to call the airline (Baltic Air) to check the status of our flights, we asked the reception for help i.e. use the reception phone and help with the call. "Good hotel if get right room"
Arrived on v.hot day and room was almost unbearable, had fan on wall but only works when you're in room so can't cool it down when you're out. Upgraded to double room on understanding of balcony but all rooms on 6th floor and above don't have a balcony - I was on 6th floor and just had a sky-light which couldn't see out of. Room is probably much nicer […] when weather is cooler. Location is pretty good near to bus stops and main shops and about 1km from main attractions. Mehr

Perfekt läge vid floden mitt emellan gamla stan och allt annat sevärt. Tog buss endast en gång då vi skulle till tv-tornet. Allt annat inom promenadavstånd. I och för sig långa ibland.

Fri parkering og central beliggenhed er det eneste positive. I alle andre henseender vil andre hoteller i området i samme prisklasse være at foretrække.

"Честный отель"
Отель удобно расположен,предоставляет быстрый и простой доступ ко всем достопримечательностям. Комфортные номера без претензии на какие либо помпезности или изыски-все честно и просто:кровать,стол,стул и т.д....порадовали 4 канала спутникового ТВ на русском и электрочайник с холодильником =) Хороший континентальный завтрак-до обеда можно спокойно бегать […] по достопримечательностям (коих немного) Бесплатная отгороженная парковка во дворе отеля. Hotellin yleiset tilat ja ravintola ****, huoneemme ***. Valaistus oli riittämätön, muutoin suht' ok. Silitysrautaa pyysimme saapumispäivänämme, mutta sitä emme koskaan saaneet. Respasta soittivat ja kovasti pahoittelivat asiaa. Lupasivat toimittaa seuraavaksi illaksi, mutta sitä ei koskaan kuulunut/tarvekin meni ohitse. Parhaat pihvit saimme omasta […] hotellin ravintolasta! Aamiainen hieman erikoinen: mm. kinkku/juusto lämpimiä voileipiä, majoneesi/sipuli/kalaleipiä. Mutta löytyi myös perinteiset sämpylät, leikkeleet, munat, munakkaat, nakit, hedelmät, murot ym. Muistakaa tilata taksi AINA respasta valmiiksi ja pyytäkää numero/käyntikortti mukaanne, jotta ravintola tms. voi tilata paluumatkataksin! Näin vältytte tupla- tai triplataksimaksuilta... Mehr

Var veldig godt fornøyd med oppholdet. Sentral beliggenhet, stort og fint hotell med hyggelig betjening. Stort fint rom til en veldig billig penge. Minus er at det er mye trafikk rett utenfor hotellet, bråk hvis du har vinduer åpne. Frokostbuffet var heller ikke den beste jeg har hatt. Alt i alt et bra hotel, anbefales!

"Congress Hotel Vilnius, beliggenhed i centrum"
Hotellet lå i god afstand fra såvel "The Old Town" med Universitetet som det nye handelscentrum med Handelshøjskole, men desværre med mange trapper ned til indgangen af hotellet. Værelset lå ved siden af elevator og man kunne ikke finde et bedre sted. Personale serviceminded, men rengøring skete sidst på dagen.

"Congress hotel, Vilnius"
Vores oplevelse af hotellet var meget positivt, det ligger midt i byen. Vores værelse var på 5 sal med en fantastisk udsigt over byen, 2 min. gang til centrum. Alt i alt er vi meget tilfreds.
"Fin beliggenhet, men veldig små rom"
Beliggenheten var veldig bra. Fin spasertur unna gamlebyen, og lå rolig til. Men vi hadde forventa større rom. Knøttsmå rom og bad. Vi hadde ikke kjøpt superior eller noe slikt, så kanskje kunne vi ikke forvente mer, men inntrykket når vi bestilte var at rommene var av normal, romslig størrelse. Det syns vi ikke de var.
