Wir hatten ein Nicht-Raucherzimmer, in dem es jede Nacht einen eklichen Rauchengestank gab. Der Zimmer war auch ein bisschen dreckig, sonst war alles ok.

Personal war sehr freundlich, Hotel / Zimmer war soweit o.k., Teppich dürfte ersetzt werden, etwas schmutzig in unserem Zimmer. Nach dem Duschen war das (kleine) Bad gefluttet. Bad aber sonst aussreichend und auch sauber. Lage gut, gleich beim Zoo und direkt beim U-Bahn Anschluss. Zu Fuss max. 10 Gehminuten bis zur Einkaufsstrasse ZEIL. I have never written a negative review. In fact, i generally do not "write" a review beyond clicking multiple choice ratings. Here, i felt the need to goout of my way to say something. This was a most depressing hotel. The entrance "lobby" is like a small shop. The corridors are small and not well lit, the door locks are not clunky, the key chain is […] large and uncomfortable, the entrance "hallway" into the room is small, the room, bathroom, have a bad smell. The whole room and room experience had a very cheap feeling to it. It just made me feel bad and embarrassed for myself. It felt like i had slipped back 2 or 3 decades in my personal standard of living (and i live a fairly moderate .. not sophisticated, but organized and clean lifestyle). I was so glad to leave. I felt like i just returned to the present time from an average 70s or 60s small time hotel. HOWEVER, i must say, the hotel staff were nice. They were helpful, and friendly. Mehr

The hotel was in a great quiet location, by the entrance to the zoo. There was an underground station 50 metres from the hotel entrance. The rooms were quite small but clean and functional. For us, it represented good value for money.

Small, nice hotel close to the main shopping street the Zeil (10 minutes walk). Right next to the metro (the zoo station). Fine room with newly renovated bathroom. The bathroom was small but well arranged. Being pregnant or having af large beer belly, you might have trouble getting into the shower ;o). The breakfast was not inclused in our offer. We […] payed for the breakfast when we arrived, it costed 5,5 Euro each for the small buffet (bread, butter, marmelade, nutella, cheeses, cold cuts, youghurts, boiled eggs and drinks). Good value for money. The only negative thing was that the room felt a bit damp (we were there in the winter), but maybe we should have left the fan in the bathroom on, when we left the room? Good for the price paid. Breakfast better than I expected. Excellent location close to the subway and close to tram stops. Nice confortable beds. The last floor do not have elevator. Early check is a plus since we got there around 9:30 AM. The bad: Our room had a strong smell to mold comming from the shower and the car parking is very limited and it […] is for small cars only. Took a while to get the car in and out. It is good for getting there by car, but leave it there until it is time to go to another city. Staff is very friendly and gave advice on the local attractions. Good neighborhood with plenty of stores and restaurants around. Mehr

My girlfriend and I stayed here for 3 night. The hotel is right next to the zoo. Very easy to get the the U bahn or light rail, I could see it as soon as I got out of the hotel. There was two cafes and a stand to get papers or drinks for cheap. Inside the hotel room was very nice. Bathroom was also very nice. We made it to our hotel with great ease. It is an awesome location which is right next to a train stop. After we checked in, my husband had to go up the stairs while I took the elevator with the luggage because the elevator was really that small. The room was small but had a nice bed and bathroom. The tv was such a joke. It was the smallest tv I have […] ever seen! We thought breakfast was expensive so we did not get the breakfast. Overall, it was ok. Horrific customer service. Miserable hotel. Never stay here.

Admiral hotel is close to the city sights, easy acessex by the many forms of transport! In a quiet neighbour too so no noise if you need to leave the window open! Room was very clean and the shower was lovely! Well worth it if you get a good rate on the hotel!

I will ALWAYS choose the Admiral Hotel for convenience, price, cleanliness, efficiency and fantastic rich breakfast, unlimited coffee, skillful response to the needs of a visitor to Frankfurt. One small drawback was the non-functioning of the wireless internet in my room, compensated for by FREE use of a public computer at the reception desk, with kind […] help from the personable and professional staff. I'm returning to Frankfurt in a month, and will certainly choose to stay at the Admiral. My stay in the middle of July was flawless. Excellent price, booked on the internet, and consistent with the description there offered. I will recommend this hotel to friends and colleagues. Mehr

The hotel is located across the street from the zoo, and is easily accessible from the U-Bahn. Our son became sick early one morning with vomiting, and the staff was very accommodating with rehabing our room and getting us to a doctor (the Childrens Hospital is right around the block). The breakfast is full and complete and left us satiated. One […] of the highlights was the placement of my son's fuzzy animal companion on our pillows when the cleaning staff made up our room. It made is day! They stock the International Engish Edition of the NY times. When we were ready to leave, our host called a taxi for us that was reputed for it's integrity (that has never been a problem for us before). Sure enough, we arrived at the airport E3,00 less expensive than our journey inbound. This is a wonderful, family friendly hotel and we will definitely stay with them again when we are able to return to Frankfurt. Mehr

Located close to tram and underground. Room was clean and comfortable although small. Breakfast was good. Good value for money. Will use it again.

We specified a non smoking room, however the room stank of cigarette smoke and we were given twin beds after booking a king size bed. Reception was not helpful.

This hotel was odd to say the least. The girl at the front desk admitted it was her first day. She didn't understand prepaid hotel rooms and requested we pay the full rate. She called someone to the desk to sort it all out. In the end we were given a key to the fifth floor, the elevator only goes to the fourth and with all our baggage we were exhausted […] when we found our room in the "lofted attic". It was definitely an add on. We had to stoop in parts of the room to avoid hitting our head. Not to mention the shower and potty were in two seperate rooms. I don't know that I would chance booking with them again. You never know what you might get! Besides, the breakfast the next morning was marginal. The cleaning lady came through the eating area with a bucket, mop and cleaning supplies to store her stuff in a closet right by the guests eating dry bread, cold cuts and eggs. If it hadn't been during a very hot spell, the rating would have been higher . . . no a/c and very little air movement in the hotel. Clean and mostly competent service from this small, well-located hotel by the zoo in Frankfurt. Breakfast buffet got boring after a couple of days but was okay.

A very congenial and welcoming hotel seconds from the Frankfurt Zoo and several major ubahn, tram and bus lines. Lots of reasonable neighborhood eateries within minutes. The breakfast was standard high quality. There was one playground within walking distance of the hotel for our toddler son. We stayed at this hotel for two days after our arrival […] by air into Frankfurt, and two days at the end of our holiday as we were preparing to return to the states. the only complaint was city noise that started around 6:00. There is no parking anywhere. They wouldn't let us park in the back of the hotel for some reason. Street parking is a joke. The bed was very nice and comfortable, however the pillows were too fluffy and our heads sank in them to the bed itself. The room otherwise was very clean. Its in a nice neighborhood with plenty of pubs and such, and a nice commons […] area to read or people watch. The parking was the most stressfull thing about the place. I would recommend otherwise. The hotel does not look like the pictures in real life. Condition of the room was quite dirty and there were no blankets on the beds. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful except the breakfast "buffet" lady. Breakfast options are very limited. We stayed at the Admiral for two nights. left for two nights. and returned for a final night. They stored our big pieces of luggage in our absence, and even gave us our same rooms back.

Although most of the guests were German, the staff all spoke English, and they were very helpful. The breakfast was very nice, and I also enjoyed the complimentary International Herald Tribune. Best of all is the location - in a pleasant residential area. There is a supermarket around the corner, and plenty of pleasant cafes.(And of course the zoo!) […] Each evening my husband and I relaxed at the fountain in the little plaza around the corner. The hotel was a simple tram ride from the train station, and a subway ride to the airport. Mehr

Positivt: Hotellet har en sentral beliggenhet til sentrum av Frankfurt med U bahn likke utenfor døren. En negativ faktor er at det var veldig lydt, noe som var forstyrrende.

The first hotel staff we met was not very polite at all and seemed annoyed to get customers. The other thing is that the room was really dirty and dusty and much of the details where hanging loose or broken. The Hotel is supposed to be recently renowated but that seemed to concern mainly details as sinks and toilette. This is proven by a picture of […] the twin towers over the bed 10 years after it was destroyed. The breakfast was OK though I guess you get what you pay for and I didn't picture the hotelroom to be fancy for the price, but one could anticipate a welcoming attitude, tidy rooms where stuff is not hanging loose because no one has bothered to use a screwdriver for 10 minutes...really pity since the surrounding area is great and close to city centre. Hotellet ligger nära tunnelbana och på gångavstånd från city. Rummet var utmärkt även om minibaren var ur funktion, men å andra sidan anges inte att minibar ingår. Frukostbuffén var god och relativ riklig, men om det var kaffe som serverades vill jag hellre ha te. Hotellet ligger i lugnt område nära Zoo, och rummet var försett med elektrisk fläkt för […] svalka varma dagar. Mycket bra hotell i förhållande till priset. Jag kan varmt rekommendera hotellet. Mehr

Trvligt litet hotell med gångavstånd till centrum, men också U-Bahn och spårvagn runt hörnet. Bra frukost - mycket prisvärt hotell.

Rent og ordentligt. Helt sikkert en overnatning værd, hvis man har brug for en god nats søvn på vej sydpå og ikke gider de klaustrofobiske plastikæsker.

We got two rooms on the hotel. Second room was really ok, but second one was quite worn and also smoking were allowed. Which is not nice for non-smoker. Location/accessibility and general condition good+.

Bra hotell till bra pris. Parkeringen som hotellet tillhandahöll var av modell mindre för en stor bil. Hölll knappt på att ta oss ut ur den smala port som gick till parkeringsplatsen.

Bra mottagande vi ankomst. Vänliga och hjälpsamma under hela vistelsen. Rummet höll bra standard och kändes rent och fräscht. Rekommenderas.

Hotellissa ei ollut ilmastointia ja meille sattui 38C asteen lämpötilat. Hotellin muu ilmanvaihto oli aivan onneton, ainoastaan WC:ssä oli ilmanottoaukko ja se oli niin likainen, ettei vetänyt olleenkaan, pitäisi joskus putsata. Jouduimme pitämään ikkunaa auki kuumuuden vuoksi, eikä sekään mitään auttanut. Mutta ikkunan auki olosta seurasi se, että […] viereisen kadun ratikoisen kolina kuului pahasti, kun juuri siinä kohdassa oli raiteiden risteyskohta. Eli nukuimme kovin huonosti, vaikka hotellin esittelyssä mainitaan, että katu on hiljainen. Mehr
